Hey, guys.
Welcome back to my channel, and hello to you new people too.
Today I'm bringing you the top ten indie makeup products of 2016.
Number one for me was the Makeup Geek MannyMUA palette.
I was surprised that I grew to love this palette so much because at first like, oh, it's another
neutral palette.
However, I've used it a ton.
Mostly I use Insomnia and Mars, but I also like Beaches and Cream.
I've used this palette with Mickey several times.
I've used it on my own a ton.
I even actually made a dip in Insomnia.
I don't know if you can see that but there's a dip there because I've been using it so
much.
I like having the pressed version of Insomnia.
The duochrome nature is so intense.
I love it.
Yeah, I love this palette.
I was surprised by how much I love this palette, so it deserves to be here.
Number two on my list is the Makeup Geek highlighters.
I'm in love with the new highlighters.
I think that they are fantastic.
I am wearing this highlighter, Celestial, right now on my cheeks.
I think it looks absolutely gorgeous.
The other two colors that I love are Glitz and Moon Phase.
Basically, all three of the highlighters for porcelain skin, because they actually work
on my skin tone.
When you are pale like me you need a highlighter that's basically white-based so that it will
be lighter than your skin tone so it can actually highlight.
The problem with a lot of highlighters that are made for fair skin is that they often
aren't light enough and they'll blend in with your skin tone.
If your highlighter blends in with your skin tone, it's not going to highlight anything.
It's not going to do anything for you.
Number three: Sugarpill lipsticks.
I feel like it took Sugarpill forever to come out with lipsticks, but wow, was it worth
the wait.
I actually have all three of their liquid lipsticks.
I have Trinket, Pumpkin Spice, and Kim Chi.
I love them.
I find them very comfortable to wear.
The smell is a little weird but it goes away.
Regular lipstick formula is great.
I don't like the citrus cent because it just doesn't smell ... it's supposed to smell like
a Dreamcicle but it doesn't really smell like that to me.
It smells just kind of vaguely, weirdly citrusy.
But it's totally worth it to have this color, U4EA.
This color is amazing.
It's the best deep teal blue that I have ever owned.
Love the color, so happy to have it.
Number four would be Fyrinnae's Magic Whipped Lipsticks.
These are basically duochrome lipsticks that are liquid lipsticks.
They are very comfortable to wear.
They're really gorgeous.
I personally think they work best if you put them on top of a lip pencil, because otherwise
I feel like they're a little patchy.
They're completely gorgeous to look at.
Number five is Silk Naturals Velvet Matte Lipsticks.
Silk Naturals is basically the workhorse of the indie world.
They make so many staple products, really gorgeous eyeshadows, lipsticks.
All of them are vegan.
I personally love their Velvet Matte Lipstick line just because it's very comfortable to
wear.
It's a very, very moisturizing, comfortable matte formula.
I feel like that's hard to find.
I feel like you don't often see matte formulas that are comfortable to wear.
They really did a great job with these.
Number six is the Lucy Minerals Original Foundation.
It's an organic, cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan anti-aging mineral foundation that's
packed with antioxidants.
It's surprisingly creamy, almost like applying a liquid foundation, but it's fantastic, especially
if you press it.
The company does offer to customize the foundation to match every skintone.
Number seven: the Aromaleigh Insectarium eyeshadows and contour powders.
That collection, I love.
I can't pronounce most of the name of these correctly.
I'm sure that I screw them up all the time, but I use them a lot.
This is a Aconitum Napellus, Amphisbaena, Heloderma Suspectum something like that.
Anyway, I love these contour powders.
They're multi-purpose.
You can use them on your cheeks and your eyes, which is how I like to use them.
They're great.
The Insectarium eyeshadow are awesome because they're a duochrome.
Well, they're multichromes, but I feel like they're duochromes.
They're great for popping on the lid or inner lid of your eyes if you have hooded eyes like
me.
They have a nice brightening effect.
I love them and felt like they deserved to be on this list.
Number eight: the Melt Cosmetics Gun Metal Stack.
I love this stack because I feel like you don't often see cool toned shades out there.
Basically, everybody and their sister wants to put out a warm toned palette because warm
tones "look good on everyone."
I love seeing this stack come out that has all of these cool tones, which is why I bought
it.
I really like the shade here, which is Assimilate, which is kind of like a warm, gray-taupe-type
color.
It's a matte so it's really nice for just smoking out on your crease.
Then you have the fun, super glittery, shimmery shades.
I love this stack.
I think it's really pretty.
This does have fallout, but I don't care.
Number nine is the Cocoa Pink Pina Colada Cotton Candy perfume.
This has been one of my favorite perfumes to wear all year.
I love it.
It's a wonderful, fruity concoction.
I think it smells great.
I have the Pina Colada scent in a ton of stuff from Cocoa Pink, like lotion and shampoo and
conditioner, and my hair serum.
I like having the perfume too.
Finally, last but not least would be the Saucebox Art Nouveau palette.
I love this palette and it proves that, yes, you can make an awesome vegan red and purple
eyeshadow.
Because both of these are vegan and they're both wonderful.
They have a great texture.
There's the gold and the green.
These colors are gorgeous.
They're easy to work with, super pigmented, 100% vegan.
Absolutely love this palette.
Don't let anybody tell you that you can't make gorgeous purples or reds vegan and do
them well, because Saucebox does.
Fyrinnae does too, but in a palette, these are awesome.
