What is up you guys welcome back to my channel
I'm going to be doing something different that I haven't done in what seems like forever
And that is a tag video all about my chronic illnesses
And I've seen this tag going on around in the chronic illness community for quite some time
And I figured I would do that for you guys today
I'm going to try and keep it short and sweet so I can fit this all in one video
But let's jump into it because there's about thirty some-odd questions
And I have them right here on my phone number one the illness. I live with is I have more than one
I will try to get them all in one swoop and trying to forget one, but I have celiac disease
I have hyperthyroidism. I have IBS. I have rheumatoid arthritis
I have chronic pain chronic migraines anxiety and depression those obviously are one and
I'm pretty sure that it
Number two I was diagnosed with it in what year celiac disease, I was diagnosed in
2016 hyper thyroid in 2016 and
anxiety and depression I was like 13 or 14 so whatever year that was 2003 2004 and
my IBS and Ra was
2017 number three, but I had some symptoms since
2003 2004 with my anxiety and depression I was suffering for a good
10 11 years before I got my diagnosis about 2006 number 4 the biggest adjustment. I've had to make is
Going gluten-free that seemed to be the issue because I love all things gluten
But it's really been easy and not as scary as I thought number 5 most people assume
that I'm lazy I
Choose not to work
That I choose to be depressed that I choose to have a gluten free bad diet
I could just I could go on on that point but people
assume a lot
number 6 the hardest part about mornings are
Getting up and out of bed like once I'm out of bed
And I've taken my morning regimen of medications I can go on with my day
But it's just that action of getting up and out of bed that seems to kick my butt especially lately
number seven my favorite medical TV show is
Currently it is the good doctor. I am absolutely obsessed with that show and then other than that
It's Grey's Anatomy for sure number eight a gadget. I couldn't live without is
Probably my phone just because it keeps all my notes all my symptoms all my medications timers all that jazz
That's puppy my coolest gadget. I couldn't live without
Regarding my illnesses, I guess number nine the hardest part about nights are
It depends on the day when I have a good day, or a bad day
I do suffer with insomnia, so that's fun if I have a bad day, and I'm in a lot of pain
I don't sleep and so that's hard, but I think the main hardest part is just getting
Myself to stop what I'm doing to actually go and get in bed number 10 each day
I take blank pills and vitamins no comments. Please I
Take two right now. Just because I hate taking
Pharmaceuticals like I asked like it's Mike. I only take these because if I don't I could die and
Like not even kidding, so I should be taking over six or seven medications
But my doctor and I are on the same wavelength we talked about it. We're open about it and right now. I take two
Every day on Wednesdays I take four and then every other day. I take another one so every other day
I take three yeah, that might be confusing just depends on the day how many I take eleven regarding alternative treatments?
I am
so open
like I've been doing research on a lot of stuff for like pain and
Migraines and all that stuff in like finding a more natural route. Just because like I said I hate taking
pharmaceutical grade medications I
Hate it. They are addictive
They're expensive
And I don't like how I feel on them
number twelve if I had to choose between an invisible illness or visible I would choose I
Honestly would stay I would stick to invisible illnesses because I don't talk about it a lot like if I am feeling
like if I'm in a lot of pain
I don't say it like I try to keep it in try not to let other people know
I there are a few
People in my life that can tell and like read my emotions and all that stuff and so they know when I'm having a bad
Day, and I'm in pain, but a lot of the time
I just I try not to make a big deal out of it because a lot of people
don't understand and some don't even believe me number thirteen regarding work and career I
Do not work outside the home. I do things here at home
I do YouTube I do my website which I need to you know get
Involved with more and I'm going to be branching out with another business soon and working with them in
Hope that will help them as well as help me number fourteen people would be surprised to know that
I do have an invisible illnesses because I really try to live my life to
Not be so noticeable. I guess I really try to put it on the back burner and
Not mention it
Just because I don't wanna be like for me for me
But I guess that just means I try not to talk about it fifteen
It's the hardest thing to accept about my new reality has been
That people do not
understand
That's practically it number sixteen something. I never thought I could do with my illness that I did
Was I don't know I think maybe
Rebranding into doing something more in this mini community. I was like that was probably it
Yeah Because I never really talked about myself disease on my channel like I really tried to keep it like the funny and a little bit
of an educational but since rebranding
That's what I am its Who I am that's what I want to share so that would probably be it
Number seventeen the commercials about my illness, I haven't seen any commercials about celiac disease
but I have seen commercials about rheumatoid arthritis and IBS and
Migraines and depression number eighteen something I really miss doing since I was diagnosed is
Going out to eat or like having like a fancy dinner and not having to worry about
Checking the menu before I go number 19. It was really hard to have to give up fast-food tacos like that was my jam
20 a new hobby I have taken up since my diagnosis is
Sudoku I've always done sodoku because it does keep my mind off it when I have anxiety, but I've also started doing word searches and
Call me an old lady, but I love them 21 if I could have one day. I'm feeling normal again
I would take advantage of it. I would go to I jump with the girls. It's an indoor trampoline park I would go
Go-kart driving with the girls I would go run around at the park
I would just go do everything that I still do
But it just causes pain I would just go do all the fun things and not have to regret it the day after um
22 my illness has taught me to be tough
to be
honest and open with people
It's taught me how to make gluten-free foods
Good 23 want to know a secret one thing people say that gets under my skin is
I hope you get better
I have chronic illness my illness is chronic, and I will chronically feel ill I
will never get better and
I
Just want people to understand that it's not like a cold or a flu that I have it is a disease that has no cure
24 but I love it when people
Text me pictures like that at the grocery store then take a picture of something
That's like Oh reminded me of you or Oh. Have you tried this?
Number 25 my favorite motto scripture quote that gets me through tough times
My favorite quote as of right now
I have multiple favorites, but my favorite right this second, I will leave like right here
And it says being negative only makes a journey more difficult you may be given a cactus
But you don't have to sit on it
I thought that was funny and since Kemp is in Arizona, and he's surrounded by cactuses
It kind of like mixes and matches like with him, and I I thought it was cute 26 when someone is diagnosed
I'd like to tell them
It gets better
It's hard, but you will love yourself. Even more in the long run. You'll feel better it may take time but
you'll get the hang of it and
Just keep trucking because there's a lot of other Sunnis out in the world that aren't so
Welcoming and you got a support system that is amazing
27 something that has surprised me about living with an illness is just people being ignorant
I just yeah, I knew people were mean but now that I have an invisible illness with people who don't believe me
It's kind of crazy to see how people really think 28 the nicest thing someone did for me when I wasn't feeling well was
My husband he always does amazing things. He was me laying in bed. He runs a bath for me
He buys me bath bombs he sets it all up tells me to go relax 29
I'm involved with invisible illness week because I have an invisible illness
I am not posting this video during invisible illness week
But I think every week should be invisible disease Awareness Week
I think it should be more talked about I should I think people need to talk about it
so there's not a stigma around it and
This is what invisible illness looks like
number 30 the fact that you read this list makes me feel if you made it all the way to the end
Like you are a true true supporter of mine, and you made it all the way to the very end of this video
Please please please go leave like I don't know a random
Emoji that it would make no sense in this video you have a chronic illness
Please comment down below what you got what's your story?
I would love to get to know you
