What's Christmas Like In A Haitian Household? #Vlog 🎄 - Duration: 5:05.

Every year my family does this Christmas tradition. Where we have Christmas breakfast at my aunt & uncle house, then later that night we have Christmas dinner at my house.

Oh I forgot to mention wearing your Pj's is a must.

We always start off by praising and praying to God. Also If you're have trouble understanding the language it's because the songs are in Creole.

This year we wanted to do something a little different.

And I think each and one of you have touched our lives.

One way or another.

So we love you, we appreciate you. We have a little gifts for everybody in here.

We wanted to show our appreciation to you, this is from the Jeanniton family. It's small but it's from our hearts.

So we wanted to make sure we do that this year.

Our Christmas breakfast won't be as epic if we didn't play a game of four square. This game has always been part of my childhood.

What on Earth is this Mysterious 14 mile structure 'buried' in A - Duration: 2:59.

What on Earth is this?

Mysterious 14 mile structure 'buried' in Antarctica found on Google.

By ROB VIRTUE.

Spotted on the Google Earth map, the white blur deep in the barren continent has provoked

speculation it could be a secret research station hidden by a government or a UFO buried

in the ice.

YouTube user Wowforreel has highlighted it in a video and shows how you can find it yourself

on the web app Google Earth.

Describing the visual as a "patchy mass", he says: "Antarctica is crawling with weirdness."

He then points to the giant 14.5 miles by 4.5 miles area of bright white saying: "This

thing is so huge you can't miss it - not even from outer space.

"I've searched the entire continent and I couldn't find anything quite like it.

"I thought maybe there's a peculiar place in the images where there happens to be a

gap, but I don't think that's the case."

He points out brush-type movements over the mass which he says suggests someone is trying

to cover something up.

He ponders if it is a research station before adding: "If this masking was removed would

we seen the deck of a giant UFO mothership buried in ice?"

The video was put online in 2012 but a constant flow of comments continue as intrigued viewers

try to figure out what it is.

One of them, Julie Haines said: "Have you noticed that there seems to be a trail behind

said rectangular shape?

Like its been dragged."

David Darby added: "You're correct, and it's well over 111 miles long to the left."

Bret Hines wrote: "Wow two years and it's still there.

They are covering something up with this thing."

Bonnie, said: "It's a government facility.

They are allowed to request Google blur out things like this.

"It's probably a research facility."

The staggering video of the mysterious structure has been viewed more than two million times

on YouTube.

Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education - What Happens After I graduate - Duration: 2:00.

I'm so glad it's almost over. The Late nights…the studying…. I'm finally going to complete my

schooling and get my certificate and graduate. But now that that's happening

what now?

Congratulations! You're about to graduate and finish that all important first step

in your career. But you don't exactly have that first job

lined up yet, do you?

Don't let all your hard work go to waste by not being ready post-graduation.

If the job you went to school for requires you to become licensed, contact the agency

that offers the examination to determine the earliest you can schedule

your appointment. Don't waste time by putting this off.

Make sure you keep the documentation of your completed coursework in a secure place.

In addition to your diploma, you'll also want to order at least one official and

one unofficial copy of your transcripts once they are available.

And be aware that by law, schools are only required to retain certain academic documents indefinitely.

Before graduation, make sure your lender has your contact information and keep all of

your loan documentation

Also, confirm with your lender when your first loan payment is due.

Soon, it will be time to look for a job.

Make sure to have your resume and cover letter ready to go for graduation

and taylor these documents each job you apply for highlighting applicable skills.

Double check those documents before you send them out,

as grammatical errors won't make the best first impression on potential employers.

When you land an interview thoroughly research into potential employer,

dress professionally and be on time.

School is great and school opens a lot of doors,

but it's what you do after graduation, that gets you to where you want to go.

What's Up for January 2017 - Duration: 2:33.

What's Up for January?

Meteors from a demoted constellation,

Venus high,

comet 45P low

and the best of Vesta.

Hello and welcome.

I'm Jane Houston Jones from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory

in Pasadena, California.

The new year starts with a beautiful view of

the moon, Venus and Mars

on January 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Venus shines at its brightest in many years.

Through a telescope you'll see the disk 56% lit on January 1st,

half lit on the 14th,

decreasing to 40% by month's end.

Whoosh.

Most meteor showers radiate from

recognizable constellations

like Leo's Leonids,

Gemini's Geminids

and Orion's Orionids.

But the Quadrantids are meteors that

appear to radiate from the location of the former

Quadrans Muralis constellation.

In the early 1920s the International Astronomical Union

divided up the sky into official constellations.

88 constellations remained,

but over 30 historical constellations

didn't make the cut.

The Quadrans Muralis area of the sky is within

the boundaries of the official constellation Boötes.

The Quadrantids peak lasts for just a few hours.

Meteor showers are usually the residue that collects

in the orbits of comets.

The Quadrantids are associated with an asteroid --

2003 EH1.

It is thought to be the nucleus fragment

from a comet break-up in the 1490s.

It was classified as an asteroid

when it was discovered by

a near-Earth asteroid telescopic survey in 2003.

Whoosh.

Two other notable objects are visible this month

through telescopes and binoculars.

Comet 45P is visible just after sunset

at the beginning of the month

very low in the southwestern sky,

and will be visible just before sunrise by month's end.

Vesta, the brightest of all the asteroids,

is visible all month long,

reaching opposition and its peak of brightness

on January 17th.

Use Gemini's twin stars Castor and Pollux to find Vesta.

You can catch up on solar system missions

and all of NASA's missions at www.nasa.gov.

That's all for this month,

I'm Jane Houston Jones.

What you need to know about fish oil - Duration: 6:09.

Alright welcome back to another episode

the knowledge bomb

I'm Nick Fowler today we're going to

talk about fish oil there is a lot of

talk out there about supplements right

What is the right supplement, what's that

magic supplements. Should I take, you know

ten of these five of those you know

should I take it in the morning should I

eat before, should I eat after, do I take my

beta alanine after workout before I work

out? What about my creatine? All this kind

of stuff so in the next handful of

episodes i'm going to start talking a

little bit about how you should be

approaching gameday nutrition and just

day-to-day training supplements. Before I

get into the nitty-gritty of supplements

the one thing I would actually ask you

to do is go check out Adrian's latest

episode on the Brute Shoot where he

talks about supplements and he talks

about the need for whole food before

really diving into supplements.

Before even considering supplements, make

sure that that foundation is set that

being said today I want to talk about

fish oil right. Fish oil I believe is

something that everyone should be taking

it's a staple and one of those

foundations supplements and it's and

it's going to do a lot for you in terms

of longevity as an athlete, as a human

being. Essentially what it does is it

reduces systemic inflammation which as

an athlete it helps you recover faster

so that's what we want right that's the

reason why we're looking at supplements

nutrition things like that

now there are a million other uses and

benefits to fish oil. We can put a link

at the bottom of this so you can click

on that read through all the all the

information i just want to give you a

couple things you can do to kind of

start looking at dosing right and

just the timing of when you should be

taking your fish oil. There's a couple

ways to go about it right

what we're looking for first of all is

the EPA DHA content or the substance out

of fish oil right so that's the value. So

when we start talking about dosing you

want to find a

quality fish oil that has low

mercury that is researched that is just

basically good quality there's a lot of

just in the supplement industry there's

a lot of like crap out there and there's

a lot of bad stuff so do a little bit of

research I have my recommendations at

the bottom with with some of the links

that will provide on fish oil that I

really like

now in terms of dosing there's a couple

ways to go about it

personally I like going where it's

.25 grams per 10 pounds of body

weight

now that sounds, might sound a little

confusing but if you weigh 200 pounds

that's going to be five grams of fish

oil

ok now usually fish all comes with each

capsule is a gram if that makes sense

and so that's kind of a baseline amount

that you can take per day usually what I

found is the recommended dose might be a

little under that. Now, can you overdose

on fish oil i'm not a doctor but it's

going to be really really hard to right

basically it's going to thin your blood

and so there's a couple considerations

that if you're for instance downrange

deployed, if you're you know if your

first responder, police officer that's

something definitely consider just

because your blood clotting mechanisms

of your body are going to be a little

diminished and so bleeding is going to

actually increase which when you take

that to performance it's a good thing

right circulation, reduced inflammation

things like that so that's the goal that

we're going after the second way to dose

your fish oil is essentially one gram

per percent of body fat now this

works really well for males. Females just

generally have a higher percentage of

body fat so it's a little skewed, these

numbers can be pretty high i'd say it's

generally good to use if your all lean

male right. So, if you have let's say less than

fifteen percent body fat you could

dose up to you know nine to ten

grams per day. I personally like to split

it evenly through my day right so for me

225 pounds right that puts me about you

know five and a half grams of fish oil

per day I just round it up to six and

what I do is I take two in the morning,

two at lunch and two grams in the evening

and that's pretty basic right. Now

there's a lot of talk about krill oil

and whether krill oil is better than

fish oil and honestly I don't think it

is, right. I think that you can save

your money and buy fish oil because

really what we're going after again is

the EPA DHA pieces within that and krill

you're just paying a lot of extra for

what you could get out of just a quality

fish oil . So i want to give you three things to

consider when you're taking fish oil.

First, make sure your whole food

nutrition is dialed in. Set that as the

base, the standard and then add in any

supplements. Second, go ahead and choose a

quality fish oil something that's

researched something that's backed.

Something that's low mercury, you can

check out the links below for my

suggestions. Third, think about the dosing

that you're going to implement right

I like .25 grams per 10 pounds of

body weight really works well for me if

you're a lean athletic male training

couple times a day, hard charger, you can

think about one gram per percent of body

fat. So take those three things implement

them see how they go. Next week we're

going to talk about creatine.

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2016!! Diamond's Diary - Duration: 7:50.

*music* Hey guys, it's Diamond!

And for this video, I'm going to be doing a What I Got For Christmas 2016, where I show

you everything that I got for Christmas.

Before this video starts, if you're new to my channel, make sure you guys subscribe down

below and follow me on all my social media which will be on the screen somewhere.

And yeah, let's get into the video.

So, as you guys can tell I got like a new camera, if you have been following me on my

snapchat, you guys already know that, but I got the Canon Rebel t5i that I wanted, so

yeah.

And then, it came with the 18-55 mm--menm-- wait yeah, I don't know how you say it but

lenses.

It's like a zoom lenses, that's not really what I want for my videos so then I asked

for a 1.8 Sigma lenses because yeah.

This is what I'm using that gives me the blurry background, in the back that you guys see,

which I really like.

And then my parents got the camera in a kit so, it came with a bunch of extra stuff.

It came with two SD Cards plus the one that's in the camera, a battery grip which is an

extended battery case thing for it, two extra lenses.

This one is a HD wide angle lenses and this one is a HD lenses.

Also with it I got the Rode VideoMicGo camera mic, which here I'll insert -- if my phone

will work -- here's what it looks like -- there's ME! -- but there's the lenses right there

and the camera, and the tripod for it.

Sorry this lighting isn't really that good, but yeah.

Okay, so back to this camera, that's basically all like the camera equipment stuff that I

got.

So now I'm just going to turn back here and show you guys what else.

So, I got beats, the urbeats, the earbuds and I got them in silver and white.

You guys can't see this but I got those.

I got two coats; I got this black one from my parents and then I got a gray one-- there's

like an airplane flying by-- but I got a gray one from my god parents.

After it like focused, I got these really cute gloves, they're like bears, they're so

cute.

They have little faces on them.

I got a BUNCH of clothes, like a bunch of clothes.

This isn't even all of them.

I got some new boots.

These are Michael Kors rain boots, they're really cute, they have a buckle down here

with the logo on it.

Yess!

I got cute pajamas from-- what is it -- Old Navy.

I don't know where I got this from because I received this but this is a really cute

onesie.

It's like how cute, but then I got pajama bottoms like this with just like regular shirts

because I'm not into matching tops and bottoms.

Like I rather just have a plain shirt with nice pants.

Like just me?

I don't know.

But I got a bunch of pajamas.

I got this lotion body kit stuff from my cousin.

It's Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj stuff here, like that which hopefully -- I haven't tried

it out but hopefully it smells good.

So that's a plus.

I got a bunch of jeans and stuff that I have tops to go with it, but i'm not going to pull

out every piece of clothing because it just doesn't make sense.

So I got a bunch of clothes and stuff.

And then also which is upstairs I have giftcards and money.

I got this nail polish kit that my mom got me from-- I think she said kmart, but it has

really cute colors in it.

Like the colors are like yes! goals!

The colors are like cute, but yeah.

I think that is the main stuff that I got.

This video was in no way to brag, it was just for me to share what I got for Christmas,

so if you guys enjoyed it, make sure you guys give it a thumbs up and let me know if you

want me to do these every year because I definitely will.

Make sure you guys subscribe down below and comment what your favorite thing that you

got for Christmas was; I would love to know.

Did we get something the same?

Let me know down in the comment section below and yeah.

Bye guys!

What on Gods green earth was that?

NSRI on the lookout after 'UFO' spotted off Jeffreys Bay.

by Staff Writer.

A mysterious green unidentified flying object had rescue officials on alert in Jeffreys

Bay on Monday night.

National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) spokesman Craig Lambinon said the institutes Port

Elizabeth station was asked by Air Traffic Control to investigate the sighting of an

unidentified flying object at about 9.30pm.

A Boeing 737 cargo aircraft captain and co-pilot flying from Cape Town International

Airport to Port Elizabeth International Airport reported seeing what appeared to be a green

object increasing in altitude past the cockpit of their aeroplane reaching to about 1000

feet into clouds above them and then returning towards earth at high speed past the cockpit

of the aeroplane he said.

The sighting was reported to Air Traffic Control in Port Elizabeth where officials asked

the NSRI to investigate the possibility that an aircraft or craft in difficulty.

The incident occurred about 10 nautical miles off-shore of Jeffreys Bay and about 1 000m

in the sky.

Officials soon dismissed initial suggestions that it was a 300m green parachute flare as

these flares cannot reach that height.

NSRI Jeffreys Bay were alerted and although the matter was monitored throughout the night

the green object has not been seen since and there are no reports of anyone or craft

or aircraft overdue or missing Lambinon said.

No further reports of sightings have been received and the incident remains a mystery.

What Did Hillsdale Bring to 2016? - Duration: 2:17.

Clarence Thomas: You are men and women of Hillsdale, steeped in the best traditions

and principles of our great nation.

If you don't lead by example, who will?

Nick: Today, the Liberal Arts are under attack, and Hillsdale College is the best defense

it could hope for.

We've read the old books and engaged in a dialogue which recognizes that the answers are

not easily found.

We went scuba diving at Sombrero Reef.

It was amazing.

It was cool to be on my own and just explore, see all the fish and all the colors, explore

the caves that the eels were hiding in.

It was just a great experience

The trip was a really cool combination of the biblical sites and being exposed to the

geo-political situation in Israel.

They're not going to get him.

To the five, he's going to the end zone!

Touchdown!

Bart Spieth: Our shotgun team is really great.

They are very competitive.

They've won four of the last five years in Division III national championships.

Larry Arnn: The College is old. It's a wonderful thing about it.

It was founded by heroes and wise people.

They founded it just like the United States was founded: according to principles they

claim to be eternal.

Scott Pruitt: The importance of who replaces Justice Scalia, and the principles that they

embody will make a huge difference in the liberties and freedoms that we have in the

future.

David Clarke: There is no higher honor than to wear the uniform of the United States

and go and defend freedom.

There is no higher honor.

Jeff Sessions: I love this Constitution.

I love the rule of law.

It's a rare, special, unbelievably valuable and unique tradition that we inherited.

What's That Infrastructure? (Ep. 4 - Subsurface Utilities) - Duration: 6:08.

When you run a new utility line, whether it be electrical, gas, water, sewer, or communications,

you basically have two choices for where to put it: overhead strung across poles, or below

the ground.

Today we're talking about that second one, subsurface utilities.

I'm Grady and this is What's that Infrastructure, where we divulge and discover the manmade

world around us, and below us too.

There are all kinds of utility lines running beneath our feet under roads, sidewalks, buildings,

and property connecting resources to the people who use them or in the case of sewers, carrying

wastes away from people so we don't get sick.

There are distinct advantages to running utilities below the ground: for one, it's often the

cheaper solution when compared to other options, also, subsurface utilities are hidden so they're

less likely to be vandalized or detract from a place's appearance, and finally they're

protected from weather like freezing temperatures and high winds.

We have just about every resource you can think of running in subsurface utilities,

including electricity, oil and natural gas, water, sewage, telecommunications and many

more.

Here's a couple of underground utilities that you don't see as often.

Tero from Finland sent in this photo of an automated vacuum waste collection system in

Helsinki.

He said it's basically a packet switched network for trash bags, since each of these

collection points feed to the same underground vacuum pipe.

And Stephen from Pennsylvania sent in another one you don't see often.

These pipe are part of a snow melt system which will run a warm liquid to prevent this

sidewalk from icing up during the winter.

Speaking of winter, Andrew from Newark sent in this photo of a hydrant with a long pole

attached.

During the snowy season, the plows clearing the roads pile up huge banks of snow

covering up the hydrants.

In the event of an emergency, the hydrant can quickly be identified by this marker and uncovered

from the snow so that firefighters don't have to search for it.

As our urban subsurface gets more and more crowded with underground utilities, the possibility

of conflicts or damaging an existing line increases.

Surprisingly enough, there is no clearinghouse of information documenting the location of

all subsurface utilities, at least in the US.

And the dangers and potential costs associated with damaging something like a water line

or fiber optic cable are so high, that an entire new field of engineering has emerged

just to manage the risks: Subsurface Utility Engineering (or just SUE for short).

SUE specialists use a handful of methods to identify and locate subsurface utilities.

Many public works projects rely on SUE data to avoid conflicts with underground utilities

during construction.

A SUE survey can be as simple as drawing a straight line between manholes but many utility

location surveys involve sophisticated investigation techniques like vacuum excavation and even

ground penetrating radar.

You've probably seen these cryptic spray paint marks locating utilities after a SUE

survey.

In fact, the symbols and colors used are fairly standardized by country.

Here's a photo Doug from Sacramento sent in of a SUE survey locating a combined streetlight

and communications conduit below a sidewalk.

Some jurisdictions are requiring buried utilities to include sophisticated new identification

systems.

Adam sent in these photos of an RFID utility marker in Slovakia.

This marker gets buried with the utility lines so that they can be accurately located if

someone ever needs to dig here again.

Utilities below the ground sometimes need access to air, usually to avoid the buildup

of pressure.

Sanitary sewer systems are meant to flow by gravity, so if the pipes are properly vented,

they work better, just like venting a bottle will allow it to pour more quickly.

This is a manhole vent sent in by Joel.

If the top of the manhole is below the floodplain, a riser pipe is often required to make sure

the line is vented even during flooding conditions.

Most gas stations store gasoline in underground tanks below the pumps.

The tanks need vents so that they don't pressurize during the heat of the day, so

they also have vent pipes like these sent in by Jaron from Lincoln Nebraska.

Here's a few more vent pipes sent in by Marty from Vancouver, but he wasn't sure

what specifically they were venting.

Speaking of things that I can't identify, here's a couple more.

If you know what they are, let us know in the comments.

Timon sent in this photo of a pipe that isn't subsurface at all, but is actually running

overhead on poles in Berlin.

Pipes carrying liquids are rarely placed above ground in areas that can freeze.

That and the lifting hooks on the concrete blocks make me think this is a temporary installation

of some kind.

Finally, Bert sent in this photo from a beach in Belgium.

This is obviously an intake screen, but I have no idea what would be drawing sea water

this close to the shore, or why it would be installed above the low tide.

Put a comment if you think you know.

Thanks again to everyone who sent in photos.

It makes me really happy to discover that so many people are interested in videos about

What's the Deal With the Model X? - Duration: 6:33.

so I have had the model x for about two weeks

now and I've had a ton of questions from

you guys about it I get it because it's

kind of a weird car the doors are

strange it looks weird

nothing about this car is typical cards

it's really a piece attack that you can

drive so we put out question that all

our social media to see what big

questions you guys had about the Model X

I'm do my best to answer each one of

them

this one comes from snapchat love to

hear a bit more about the sound system

and phone connectivity can store a

library for offline play cyber the cars

upgraded sound mostly because that's the

only way to get satellite radio with XM

built-in but if you are into music you

do get things like dolby surround you

get more granular control over the

speakers and get a better audio

experience it also comes built into some

streaming options you've got slacker and

tune in

it's got an LTE radio integrate into the

cars use that to stream and that's free

you don't pay for any of the data the

cards using least 44 right now it

doesn't have any built-in storage sort

of offload stuff to bail the streaming

options make it really nice and of

course bluetooth connectivity for

connecting the foam though you don't

have to have it plugged in or

discriminating from returning to that

via bluetooth but i do have a quick doc

lightning connection built into the car

and enjoy see the lightning or micro USB

didn't have a USBC option so I figured

things moving away from micro have

lighting in this case I ever using an

iphone them so what is the average range

of the car there few different options

you can get i got 275 deeds 75 mins got

a 75 kilowatt hour battery the d means

dual motors there is a 90 kilowatt hour

battery pack and then there's a 100

kilowatt hour battery pack that's going

to give you more range as you move up

the advertised range in the 75 237 it

jumped up to and 57 for the 19 about 289

going to 9400 kilowatt hour battery pack

that's if you charge your battery up two

hundred percent it's not good for the

cart generally charge up two hundred

percent so I do an eighty-percent charge

which is usually where i keep most of

the time i have a range of about 207

miles i drove up to Los Angeles this

past weekend so I kicked it out to about

ninety percent and a range of 217 miles

built into the car i've been using

autopilot a lot if so is your experience

with it been so i got this car with

autopilot 2.2 hardware that is its eight

cameras all along the car and enhance

censoring ability with the huge

supercomputer built-in that's the plus

side the downside of that is doesn't

have any autopilot abilities right now

so I can't even do autopilot one cars

can do you want a musket that's coming

by and get this weekend probably when

you're watching this video already have

general auto pilot stuff right now I

don't have it got a ton of cameras that

will work in the future but things that

I should expect way into the week

actually expect the enhanced lane keep

essentially i can drive hands-free and

can't keep me away and followed gradual

turns ultimately though this car is

equipped for full level 5 honor of

meeting again the car the morning to go

to work i go to sleep in the back

elon musk and test was said that should

be around the end of 2017 that's barring

some drag kantik regulatory approval

also i'll be with the cargo the

autopilot sensors control things like

automatic headlights wipers being able

to detect when training and things like

that so I don't even have that stuff

working in this car you don't know what

castle it gets over their updates when I

say it will get that ability just like

on your phone I'll get a push

notification on my screen thing i have a

software update push install and Tony

the cars gotten features in former

intern dan Gillis you have the wings hit

anyone or anything i have not actually

been really sensitive and have not hit

anything I have a pretty tight garage

and they open up just far enough for me

to get in and out never had anything in

the doors themselves like control the

front doors from the touchscreen and

open those up Dave sensors in them as

well and those stop from hitting a car

which is which

cool from Instagram why did you pick the

model x over any other car what makes it

special to you i was driving a model s

before this really like the performance

of an electric car I like technology

into it and I like driving electric /

also when I got that car and have kids I

now have two kids which means i'm

hauling a lot of people a lot of stuff

and shoulders i drive my son to school

on the weekends i'm generally driving

both kids around so i wanted a car that

could grow with us if we end up having a

third kid I can be able to have car

seats installed i didn't have the

flexibility necessarily with the model s

so I figured let's try the exxon better

if the house doors are gonna hold up but

i will say the doors have been working

great and sure that you get kids in and

out and that was another big reason that

I wanted to get the end has an impact

your monthly energy bill so I've got a

second meter installed at my house I can

set the car to charge off our so for me

after nine o'clock the rates dropped

down to eleven cents a kilowatt so i

decided to charge it

905 generally 4,000 miles of driving

universal and the cost me twenty thirty

bucks you know depending if i charge of

public stations are discharged home very

minimal impact on our ability so how

long does it take to charge a good

question so for my home

I've got a 240 outlet installed i think

i have it set for 30 amps that charges

at 27 miles per hour so you can do the

math right there generally less than 10

hours from an empty car of fully charged

but I don't generally drive to almost

zero like a cell phone i plug in at

night I come out in the morning and plug

it in and it's fully charged

I can't go to Tesla supercharger though

I get eighty percent charge in about

20-30 minutes so lots of questions on

the test that we covered a huge amount

on the doors we have questions about

that

watch the video link it up here and down

box or goes over the doors a final

delivery experiences like we did a video

kind of documenting that as well but

generally i'm really happy the car had

no issues no quality problems you don't

see how this Falcon things hold up over

the course of the three-year lease but

i'm hoping i don't have any problems but

we will see me guess watching hope you

What is the Fear of the Lord | What is the Fear of God - Should we be scared? | Bible Devotion - Duration: 2:06.

Bible Munch What is the Fear of God? What is the Fear of the Lord?

Maybe you've been reading the Bible, or heard a pastor say something about, the

Fear of the Lord and thought, Fear God?

Why would anyone Fear God?

I though God was Love?

Well.

The Fear of the Lord is a familiar phrase all throughout the Bible, it certainly doesn't

mean to be scared of God as if He is some unpredictable lose cannon.

However, contrary to what some have been taught on the other side of the spectrum, the Fear

of the Lord does not just mean to have a healthy respect for God.

The fear of the Lord means so much more than either of those.

Hebrews 12:28–29 offers a balanced perspective, saying "Let us offer to God acceptable worship,

with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire."

When you teach young children about fire, you generally wouldn't teach that fire is

something only to be scared of… if you did, birthday parties, and camp fires would be

a nightmare!

No.

Fire, when properly understood offers beauty like in a candle lit service, or great usefulness,

like heating our homes, or cooking our meals.

To Fear the Lord starts with understanding Him correctly.

God is all powerful and all knowing.

He is love, and he is judge.

For an unbeliever, the eternal judgment of God for sin, is something to be genuinely afraid of.

For the believer, remembering that God will lovingly discipline us, in order to teach

and correct us when we wander from his will, that discipline is also something we should

fear.

Job understood this balance well when he said, "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom."

We are to fear the Lord not because we are scared of God, but because we understand His

power and response to sin.

To fear the Lord is to revere God - because of his character, and worship Him in Awe - because

of his Love.

That's today's Bible Munch.
