Youtube daily to make Dec 29 2017

this will be a flower variation of the cheerful flower and I've made it to be

approximately the same size as the cheerful flower so it will fit in this

is the progress I've made with my cheerful flower blanket I decided I

wanted to add some different flowers in and this is a variation I came up with

it will fit in this shows I've taken a bullion stitch flower and put it right

in with the rest of my flower Afghan that I'm piecing together and it just

fits in there nice and perfect the hook size is AG or four millimeter crochet

hook this is a size tapestry needle I used for the smaller bullion stitch this

is the tapestry needle I purchased which is a larger one that I'll be using for

this project I bought it from jo-ann fabric and crafts we'll start with a

chain five join chain one work a single crochet chain 5 slip stitch in the

single crochet work two single crochet chain five

slip stitch in the single crochet work two single crochet chain 5 slip stitch

in the single crochet work two single crochet through the loop chain 5 slip

stitch in the single crochet work two single crochet through the loop when

this is complete we'll have a total of six loops 12 single crochet we have two

more loops of 5 to do

work to single crochet now we're working on our last loop slip stitch in the top

of the single crochet work one single crochet slip stitch with the beginning

single crochet I'm going to leave this loop I'm not going to cut it off and

change colors now I'm going to take my little contraption for making the

boolean flower and I'm going to slip it right in here between my gooshie grip

and the other way is if you just have the plastic tube of course I already

have a plastic tube on here you can do it this way but I found that since I

have the gooshie grip on here I like to have a little bit more space and it

makes them a little bit more full by doing it just about like that the longer

needle works better with the larger crochet hooks and it'll stretch across

the front I can use this tapestry needle with an H or an eye crochet hook pull

the loop up drop it from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through

the loop wrap the yarn around the tapestry needle and hook seven times

four five six seven insert the hook through the loop with the tapestry

needle going on top wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and then pull

through all the loops wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through

you

I am making my Slipknot and I will be slip stitching my new color onto the

flower you can start it in any loop when we're finished we'll be cutting the

green now chain three now pull up and make a larger loop here take the hook

off the loop insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop just

like that i've been wrapping the yarn around seven times you can do more or

less it's your choice there's four five six

seven now i insert the hook through the loop with the needle going on the top

wrap the yarn over pull it through the loop grab a hold of all the loops pull

it through just like that wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and I've

completed my first bullion stitch pull the loop up that you just completed drop

it from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap

your yarn around seven times there's two three four five six seven insert the

hook through the loop the tapestry needle goes on top wrap the yarn over

the hook pull it through and then pull it through the loops just like that wrap

the yarn over and pull through now to our complete pull the loop up drop it

from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap

the yarn around the tapestry needle and hook seven times there's four five six

seven insert the hook through the loop with the tapestry needle going on top

wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and then pull through all the

loops

wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through pull the loop up drop it from

the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap it

around seven times three four five six seven insert the hook through the loop

tapestry needle goes on top wrap the yarn over the hook pull through pull

through all the loops wrap the yarn over the hook pull through to secure we've

completed for bullion stitches we have one more to do pull the loop up drop it

from the hook insert the hook and tapestry needle through the loop wrap it

around seven times there's two three four five six seven insert the hook

through the loop wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through pull through all

the loops wrap the yarn over the hook pull through the loop to complete the

five bling stitches for the first petal do two more chains and then work a

single crochet in this loop work a single crochet in the next loop and I've

temporarily removed my tapestry needle because it does get in the way sometimes

chain three I'm going to put it back on

pull the loop up drop the loop from the hook insert the crochet hook and

tapestry needle through the loop wrap the yarn around seven times four five

six seven insert the crochet hook through the loop tapestry needle on top

wrap the yarn over over the hook pull it through pull through all seven loops

wrap the yarn over the hook and chain to secure

and you'll be working five bullion stitches you can decide how many bullion

stitches you want to make if you want to modify your flower there's a chain three

single crochet at the end single crochet on the first loop with a chain three

five bullion stitches worked and all the petals are the same now I have two more

stitches to do

I work the last single crochet slip stitch with the beginning chain

now I've completed the petals I'm going to remove my tapestry needle I don't

need it at this point I'm going to pick up my pink yarn that I left attached

wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and I'm going to work a single

crochet through the single crochet round like that in the chains I'm going to

work a slip stitch the next chain work a slip stitch in the next chain work a

slip stitch if we flip our flower around there are long loops that were formed

when we created the bullion stitch we're going to use those and we are going to

insert our hook under the loop and make one single crochet and then make a

second single crochet we will be putting two single crochet in each loop on the

back side there's one two and I'm just inserting my hook underneath like that

one inserting it through again two so we'll have ten single crochet across the

top one two one two

and we will do one slip stitch in each chain

work a single crochet in the single crochet round below and this is what we

have for our petals now work one slip stitch in each of the three chains

two single crochet in each loop on the backside

these are the loops that I'm referring to there are there should be five and

work one two three four two single crochet in each loop go over to the

third loop five six

seven eight

nine ten

now work a slip stitch in each chain now will single crochet in the single

crochet around below between the petals just like that now we've completed two

petals each of the remaining four petals will be done the same way one slip

stitch in each of the three chains two single crochet in each loop on the

backside for a total of ten one slip stitch in each of the three chains on

the way down between the petals and then the single crochet I have finished the

edging around to the beginning single crochet I'm going to work a slip stitch

to join cut the yarn and then pull through the tail this completes the

bullion variation to the cheerful flower

this will show how to place the bullion flower in to the Afghan this petal will

be attached here the next petal will be attached here this one will be attached

right here and the last one right here so we will need for open petals it is

not necessary for the edging amount of the different flowers to match since

they are being centered you can find your Center and then kind of eyeball it

and place them in they don't have to be exact I'm at the center of my flower I

find the center of the matching flower make sure you have the right side facing

which I didn't so I had to flip it over otherwise I would have been adding my

flower to the wrong side now slip stitch it in just like that I'm going to work

one more single crochet in the loop I have two more loops back here

which means for single crochet now I met the center of the next flower petal this

is the one we just attached now I'm going to be working with these two

petals I'm at the center of my next flower petal and I'm going to pick up

two loops for added security to the other flower petal attach this flower

petal to this flower petal wrap the yarn over pull it through now in the same

space work the second partial single crochet and attach it to the next flower

petal continue on around with the edging to the next flower petal I'm at the

third flower petal and I'm picking up the two loops here I will be joining

right in here I'm attaching to the first petal

and work a single crochet in the same space attached to the next flower petal

and continue around to the last flower petal we've completed these three flower

petals or at the last flower petal

and continuing around to finish the edging that completes attaching the

flower

5 Steps to make a Perfect Cover Letter | How to make a cover letter - Duration: 3:18.

Press the bell Icon and never miss an update from Aasaanjobs.

You were finally able to get in touch with the recruiter from your dream company.

You started exchanging emails, had a great conversation.

She thought you were really smart and you would fit the culture there.

You were getting excited and you finally got that email

saying, "hey you know what we might

be having a job opening that will be perfect for you!

Why don't you send in your CV?

But then came the most dreaded line in that email.

Please attach a cover letter!

The first part of your cover letter is probably the most simple of all

and we'll call it the Header.

What comprises the Header?

It's simply your Name, your Email address and your Phone number.

Make sure you have a professional email address

and you are not using the one's you used to use

while you were in your high school.

The second part of the cover letter is called the greeting.

Now what you have to do is figure out the name of the hiring manager.

Do some research, go on LinkedIn and figure out

who is the person who is going to be reading

your cover letter and address it to them.

Start with Dear Ms. Jones or whatever their Last name is.

When it comes to First name Vs Last name,

always use the Last name of the person you are writing to.

Up next is the Opening Paragraph.

And here you need to tell the recruiter how excited

you are about this role and how you are the

perfect fit for the role.

You need to convince them to go through your CV

and how it would be a monumentally stupid idea to not hire you.

You can write something like, "I am enthusiastic about marketing which is why I am incredibly

happy to be applying for such and such role at your esteemed organization.

You can mention brief highlights from your previous job roles

that makes you a perfect fit for this job.

Now what you already did in the previous paragraph

is tell the company what you bring to the

table and why they should consider you.

Now let's turn around the tables

and you tell them, why they are a perfect fit for you.

Talk about what you like the most about this company in particular,

maybe it's their culture,

maybe it's some of the projects they have been working on

and you feel it will be a great experience for you

and how you will be able to contribute to those projects.

And finally we come to the closing paragraph.

What you need to do here is make sure you don't appear too needy and say something like,

"I hope you will consider me for this position".

You should also not use cliched lines such as,

"Thank You for your consideration and your time".

How about you simply say something like,

"I would love the opportunity to discuss how

my experience in the previous companies

will help grow the new company that you are applying to."

And you can sign off with "Regards" and your name.

And now you can reply to the recruiter from your dream company.

Send in your cover letter and I am sure they'll be impressed.

I hope this video was able to add value to you.

How to Make a Mini Terrarium | Sophie's World - Duration: 8:32.

Hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world so recently we had an event where we

went in and we made little tiny terrariums with our clients and it was

so much fun that I thought it would be fun to show you how to make your very

own little tiny terrarium for this project you will need small containers

small rocks or gravel charcoal hammer potting soil little plants like moss and

lichen little figurines a water source such as a spray bottle stick napkins

paper towel q-tips scissors and spoon so these are super fun to make and on my

website www.sophie-world.com I'll have a list of all the little plants that you can use but

basically think tiny like ground covering this is what I've got here is

little ground covering that we can use you want to just make sure that they

have a significant root source so that you can gently take them out of the dirt

and that their roots are still intact that's the one thing that's most

important so you can actually find you know in your backyard you can find some

mosses and lichens and that sort of stuff that that could be used first

thing first you're gonna take your little glassware and I was able to get

my glassware at the dollar store which is you know my favorite place and we're

gonna take some little tiny stones now these can be any kind of stones that you

can find I'm gonna use white ones so that you can see and you're just gonna

make a little layer of stones on the bottom this is to make sure that the

water doesn't get logged down and bogged down in your soil because you don't want

your little plants to rot so we're gonna put some stones down

there and then the next thing we're gonna do is put in a layer of charcoal

now the reason I said you need a hammer is because you can take a regular

charcoal briquette just make sure it's all natural and doesn't have any like

chemicals in it and you can I didn't do it here because it makes so much noise

but basically you put your charcoal briquettes into a plastic bag and then

use a rubber mallet and just bang-bang-bang you do it on the

ground do it on you know a concrete surface or a rock surface or someplace

like that that's nice and sturdy and they'll break up pretty easily and

pretty quickly and you're just gonna take a layer of this and put that right

over top of your rocks the reason we're doing this is because the charcoal helps

to keep that dirt fresh and absorbs any extra moisture and keeps it from

becoming mungy basically nobody wants mungy terrarium so at this at this event

which was really fun people were really getting into this and creating these

little landscapes and stuff they were having so much fun

except they kept calling them planetariums which i thought was pretty

good okay so the next step is we're going to add our plants and our soil so

I'm going to first start putting a little layer and this is just potting

soil you can also do this with succulents now if you were to do this

with succulents what you would want to do is use a cactus soil but we're gonna

be we're gonna be using a little ground covering so I'm gonna actually put a

little bit of the soil in here and then I'm going to use my water source here

which is little spray bottle and moisten that just a little bit not too wet just

a little bit and then I'm gonna take my little guys here and as you can see you

can see those roots in there we're just gonna gently break those roots apart

here cuz I don't need this whole thing I mean I could use this whole thing but

and I'm just gonna place it in there with my fingers get it in there and then

I'm gonna take a little bit more soil go around

make sure that's nice and solid in there you can use a little spoon if you want

to and then again I'm gonna use my water source Moss is great for this especially

if you're using teeny-tiny itty-bitty little figurines like this one right

here I found these I thought these were the cutest thing ever I found these at

this place called Darice and they were mythical creatures and I just fell in

love with them and they look really like look how cute that is a little dragon in

the midst isn't that cute so now the reason that I had suggested that you

have a little paper towel and a stick is to get in there and clean off your sides

a little bit if they start to get a little soil ridden and mungy so you can

just kind of come around with this little paper towel on a stick and just

kind of tamp that down make sure that that's not messing up your glassware and

you can always use a q-tip as well to get in there clean that now we get to

have some fun so I'm gonna add I'm gonna make this my own little Yosemite so I'm

gonna add a big rock here that's my Half Dome okay and then I'm

gonna add a little little gravel here it's gonna be my little water bed my

little water bed this this gravel this really fun colored gravel is actually

the kind of gravel you would find for like fish tanks and it's great it comes

in all these amazing colors and including like these hot pinks and

oranges and things like that then put a couple little white ones in here and

it's pretty inexpensive too you can get a big old bag of it but again you know

you don't have to spend a lot of money can just go out in your backyard

or in nature and find the appropriate things right there in nature

for you so now I get to add my little animals and I also

found these these are so cute aren't they there are little tiny mushrooms and

they actually have this little bit of wire on them which makes it very helpful

because I'm going to cut off about three inches there so that I end up with just

an inch left here that's why I need those scissors and then I can just stick

this down into the soil and they stay wherever I want them to which is great

once again I'm just gonna cut that right there put a second one over here

maybe I'll do one more just because they're fun so we've got our kind of own

little half dome there okay now I could put in my little tiny dragon wouldn't he

be cute but I think I'm gonna put in a bunny instead I love these bunnies and

again I got these at this place called Darice which is an online shop and I

will make sure that there is a link down below and that's that's it that's really

all there is to making your own tiny terrarium so just remember the most

important thing a layer of rocks if you can find it a layer of charcoal if you

can't find the charcoal it's okay then put your dirt then your plant then some

little embellishments and there you have your own tiny little terrarium put that

in your room wouldn't it be nice to just see a little bit of life every morning

when you wake up wonder what they're thinking about down in there hmm

I think mr. bunny looks like he wants to get out for more fun ideas come and

How to make Garlic Bread - Stuffed Garlic Bread - Domino's style stuffed Garlic Bread - Duration: 7:46.

Hello and welcome to wanna be a chef, today we will make stuffed garlic bread

first we will make the bread

let us see what ingredients

we need for that

we need 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour. 3/4 cup

water. 1 1/2 tsp of active dry yeast

2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp

salt and few garlic pods

if you have garlic powder you can

use that, you can chop or use the

paste of these garlic pods. I will make

paste of these garlic pods

we will warm the water first

I am using a microwave

you can do this on stove also

warm the water and we should be able to touch the water

our water is now warm. we will add sugar

mix a little

so that dissolves a little

now add the yeast

which is 1 and 1/2 tsp and not 1 tsp

mix well and let it proof for 10 minutes

till then we will make the paste

of our garlic

to make the garlic paste, I am taking the small jar our the mixer

put all the garlic pods to it

and make a fine paste of it

garlic paste is now ready

we will now take the flour

and add this paste to the flour

and we will add the salt also

and the garlic paste

I have put all the garlic paste

and you can see that the yeast has proofed well

mix a little and add

the mixture

to the four, little at once

first mix the salt and garlic paste in the flour

then add the water

little at once

so that it is easy for us to make the dought

we will knead this dough for 10 minutes

so that the gluten and the stickiness goes off

and lastly we will apply some oil

and allow it to proof

kneading bread dough is very improtant

I have taken a ceramic plate

which is in black, you can see that our dough

is now on sticky and coming together

you can use a ceramic plate or marble

to this process

our dough is ready and is soft

now drizzle some oil in the bowl

around 1 tbsp of oil

and

spread it nicely and

put the dough in the bowl and roll a little

and coat with the oil

make a nice ball and

place it back in the bowl and let it proof till it

doubles in size

it is necessary to place this in a warm place

so that proofs well, this will

take around 45 minutes

our garlic bread dough has raised well

so let us make our garlic bread

we need some corn kernels

I have taken the store bought corn, which come in packets

you can take fresh corn as well

I have taken garlic powder, if you don't have you can omit it

I have taken go cheese, which is pizza cheese

this cheese is the combination of both

cheddar and mozzarella cheese

and pizza cheese is the best for

pizzas and garlic breads

I like this cheese

and this cheese gives me the best results

if this cheese is not available then you can

use any pizza cheese

and we need Italian seasoning

you can take oregano, garlic

some basil and

chili flakes as well, if you don't have Italian seasoning

we will punch our dough

knead this dough well once again

and make 2 portions of it

dust little flour

and roll the dough

in one corner add the seasoning

some corn kernels

now grate the cheese

take 1 corner and close the edges

we will make impression at about 1 inch distance

I have greased a baking tray with out

now transfer the garlic bread

and bake at pre heated 230 degrees Celsius

our first garlic breads is ready

let us see the texture

I will zoom a little and show you

texture

I hope you like this recipe

if you liked it do hit like share and subscribe button

thank you an keep watching

HOW TO MAKE MAYONNAISE - Easy as 123 - Duration: 2:24.

Hi and a massive welcome to Steve's Kitchen. Now why would you want to make

your own mayonnaise at home? Well it looks better, it tastes better,

it's super, super easy, it's much cheaper and to be honest after you've tasted

your own mayonnaise it tastes so good you're never going to go back to

store bought mayonnaise. So come on let me show you how simple it is to make your

own homemade mayonnaise.

We're going to pour 300 mls of sunflower oil into any

sort of mixing vessel, that's about 10 ounces. Now in with the oil we need to

emulsify this, so we're going to take one egg, just break it in there. Now I just

want to take a teaspoon of mustard, pop it in, you really do need mustard in a

good mayonnaise. I've got a fresh lemon here, you just want a little bit of lemon

juice there, just squeeze that lemon juice in there, we probably want about a

teaspoon maybe teaspoon and a half and I'm just catching the pips in my hands. A

good pinch of nice sea salt, add the salt in and I'm also going to add a little

bit of black pepper, not too much. Now like the lemon juice we want about a

tablespoon of white vinegar just to cut through the fats, put your stick blender

into the oil and

Now you can see after a very short time you've got this wonderful thick emulsion,

which is the perfect egg mayonnaise and that is it. We've got this gorgeous

mayonnaise, I mean it is thick, it is absolutely delicious. Now I've made this

so many times I barely need to measure out my ingredients and you can actually

play with your ingredients put different spices and herbs in there if you

like and come up with all sorts of different, interesting versions of

mayonnaise. One thing I know is for sure, once you've made your own and you've

tasted how good this is, you're always going to make your own, you're not going

to buy it from the shops. It just tastes so much better. If you've enjoyed this

video, share it with your friends, let them know how they can make mayonnaise

at home, be good, give this a thumbs up and I will see you for another Steve's

kitchen very shortly.

How to make a wedding gift bag 👰🤵 Tutorial by Hannah Jones - Duration: 25:09.

hi crafters its Hannah from handcrafted cards calm

welcome to this week's Facebook Friday video and Facebook no Friday YouTube

video because I'm actually posting this video on Facebook for Facebook Friday

and it's also part of a series on YouTube of wedding themed projects so

for today's project we'll be making this gift bag for the mr. and mrs. so it's a

very easy gift bag to make the fun part that I'm going to show you which I've

learned from a fellow youtuber and demonstrator is how to actually attach

the handles so it will be getting into that and then how to make up a gusset II

that gift bag so let's get started okey-dokey so to

start off this actually museum at this video we're starting with a piece of

twelve by twelve gorgeous cheers to the year designer series paper

and if you want this paper you need to get it quick because the autumn/winter

catalog is nearly gone so that said we're going to start off by doing the

handles for the bag so this was a tip that I learned

two-tone designs she's an awesome youtuber as well as a demonstrator so

I'm gonna actually score this part em to make the bag you don't actually have to

score it but I'm gonna do this pot just to make sure this is correct so down one

side you're just going to score it at an inch okay so now that we've done that

we're gonna start off doing the rest of the bag then sort of come back to the

handle bit in a little bit so you need to find the center put a knot actually

fold it at this end so just find out where the center is just make a tiny

little notch there so you know roughly where you go into so you're going to

fold one side in to the center and do whichever way around is easiest and

burnish particularly well this part because you've folded it over I mean you

could do it the other way around and do this bit first and then fold that but

yeah you can do each other would you like and then fold the other side over

and you're going to overlap by about a quarter of an inch so just a touch

make sure it's straight

okay dokay so know that that it is done you can

come back to up here so to make the handles you need to make some little

notches and I do have a prototype here this video was a complete mess so

they're gonna look like so so I'm just gonna take the half inch punch and on

this side that isn't folded so on the complete side you're just gonna pop two

little notches so equal distance apart that's not even a complete half a circle

it's mm about that much okay so you want the ones on this side to line up so if

you line it back up and then you can kind of look through to see if it's

lined up roughly so then you've got a notch that's on both sides does that

make sense so you've got the one that you've already notched out and then the

other one underneath it so I'm putting the punch in place and then looking

through to see where bo Knights lined up

roughly got them right okay so open this back up and I've got

some of the metal gold metal edged ribbon so I'm gonna cook a couple of

lengths so this one did I think that I'm gonna do at this time with the bags

with the handles attaching so this this one I did it so the bags were the

handles were that way but I'm wondering whether or not to do so the handle goes

that way that makes sense so before we actually add that just put your adhesive

down this part and you could use wet glue if you wanted to but I find it's

just too messy and I always end up getting some all over the place so okay

so in my back to this part get your two pieces of ribbon and that's about 17

inches doesn't have to be exact but we do want them to be the same as each

other

roughly okay so if I want the handle this way no I can't do it that way I

know it'll just be too awkward so what we're gonna do is two holes that are

next to each other you're going to thread your ribbon through

so it's going to get threaded through like that and I've got way too much

rebirth so you're gonna go about there then just grab some double-sided and

just stick that in place we are going to trim it down don't worry and then do the

same for the other side this way you can make sure that they are level okay so

they look about the same length I think

yep and double-sided to hold in place

okay now obviously we need to trim those down then just add a strip of

double-sided along the edge on the top edge there actually I'm going to use a

thicker one and remove all of that backing so off the long strip and these

lip lines here as well there then just fold that down and you've got the

handles of your back I just think it looks really really cute with a little

notch there awesome idea then we'll go back to just making the back how you

probably think I've made one of these before on here

I can't remember so take off the tape down the middle and just fold that back

over like so

make sure it's stuck really well so then you've got your handles that will be

like that obviously we need to finish up the rest of the back okay so to make the

bag up all we need to do is start by folding the sides in about an inch so

I'm going to use my long ruler just to help me just sort of but roughly but

we're in inches and it's straight all the way up and down then you can carry

on and you do have to burnish this and really well because this paper it's like

more like cardstock than paper it's quite hefty stuff so it will support

whatever good is he decided to put inside and then open the back out and do

the same on the other side so I'm going about an inch

okay so know we have got two folds on either so now we've got that we need to

fold up from the bottom and you want to do about two and a quarter inches so I'm

just using my grid paper just to help me get my measurements so right two and a

quarter inches just so I've got a straight line as well when I'm doing

this with just the sort of the normal designer series paper

I don't measure it as much but because this is thicker I want to make sure I

get it right so I don't crease in the wrong places and obviously it's thicker

so if you crease it wrong you kind of it's not great so now you've got your

little flap at the bottom so you can open that flap and squeeze in these two

straight so it's it looks like a little mouthing sorry so when you do this you

want to make sure that this bit here is flat and net so get your bone folder in

there pretty much just press it down I'm

burnish really well

so yeah this video is a part of a series of wedding you type stuff and do the

same on the other side so this is on Facebook

today's video is for Facebook Friday but it is also part of this series so it

will be on my youtube channel along with all the other wedding videos that I have

made so we've got wedding invites we've got a guest book we've got a gift box

type thing and lots of goodies so now we've done that all you need to do is

fold or these two flaps and you should have a score line just about there and

there and that should just say it should be just at the right spot when you fold

over that's not right is it overlap it should overlap so that the bottom of the

bag will be closed and they just want to add some adhesive along there and make

sure that when you do your bag if there's a if you can see a gap here so

you can see in here when you put your adhesive down it's gonna stick the bag

together if that makes sense so you want to make sure that when wherever you're

adding your adhesive it's not going in this section here because it will just

wreck your bag and I have done that so that's how I know so I'm going to put a

little bit of adhesive on these two out of triangles but make sure it doesn't go

in there so I'm just going to use my fast fuse for that

and it's not too important on this bit anyway so just a little bit of you will

do the trick and then on this part again making sure that no adhesive goes on the

inside section there so we can put a strip across

over there I'm gonna go with the thinner strip of

tape just on the edge there because if you go too far down here then it's just

going to stick to itself and then we can put adhesive on these two triangles

there so bit a few years

so then furnish all of that really well

I'm sure it's stuck nicely and then when you've got your two score lines there

just reinforce those and fold this little bit here again you just burnish

down there and that is it - no it's the moment of truth ever made this correctly

is it gonna actually work so you lift this bottom bit so that goes flat then

pop your hands in and should be able to open it out and these side creases the

middle one you're going to invert so fold it back the other way like so so

it's just the side of a gift bag you publish seen a gusseted gift bag before

so you kind of shadow will probably have the idea of how it's supposed to look

and it'll be flat on the bottom and then just squeeze in those sides and way it

works there we go so it's flat on the bottom so it will stand up flat so you

can get some nice goodies in there love it so I'm just gonna grab a stamp set

just for a little tag so one second okay so I've got the cheers to the stamp set

and I'm just gonna stamp starburst ething and mr. and mrs.

as like I said this has been a wedding themed

series so spritz me a Stampin scrub go hunt mister missus in the middle yeah

that's fine and I forgot I need another stamp set so

bear with ok I've got the heart happiness starts at which is a new one

awesome stamp set and there's just a teeny tiniest little heart in there and

it is adorable so just going to stamp two of those hearts I did use this on

the tag for the wine gift box yes I did actually no I'm just gonna leave it as

that there is an outline image to go with that heart as well but just leave

it like so so I've got the 1 and 1/2 inch punch so this is going to cut away

quite a fair bit of the thing but it's gonna do just enough to make it look a

little interesting and Shh what so you kind of got a funky

little pattern I like it anyway and then I've got this starburst which I'm gonna

punch out it's some glimmer paper on top

out of the way then bring in the gift bag the front of it and I think I'm

actually just gonna stick it on there so let's get some tombow on here because we

are sticking on to glimmer paper and even though I don't like Tumbo as a

general rule I'm a fast fuse girl for sticking on to glimmer paper

Tombo does seem to work the best

give it a really good press say even then

so mystic you give me a good good good press hopefully after all that tell you

out let's add some what to do what to do dimensionals behave they maybe they'll

stick better is me saying oh yeah Tombo stick is really good I obviously

don't know what I'm talking about

let's give this a go

there we go dimensionals to the day to the day to the rescue even oh gosh I

think I need to go and lie down so that's our little tag which is gorgeous

and I'm gonna just pop it on there with more dimensionals bazzill of

dimensionals so like I said I have a whole series of wedding themed projects

over on my youtube channel if you're watching it on Facebook if you're on

YouTube then you obviously know that so there are lots of other projects for you

whether you're crafting for your own wedding or for somebody else's hopefully

and some of these ideas will be of use to you so if you're on Facebook I will

see you next Friday and if you're on YouTube there will be another video here

on tomorrow which is Saturday obviously so I will see you all in the next video

whoops thanks very much for watching and I will see you all soon bye

How to Make an Apple Tart | Easy Homemade Puff Pastry Apple Tart Recipe - Duration: 8:30.

How to Make an Apple Tart - Easy Homemade Puff Pastry Apple Tart Recipe

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor.

Today I am going to show you how to make an apple tart, more specifically a puff pastry

apple tart.

I had a request to make an apple tart, and since I already have a video on a fruit tart

that uses a shortbread cookie base, um I decided to do something different and use a puff pastry

base.

It is really easy to do, simple ingredients, if I can do it, you can do it, let's get started.

First we are going to go ahead and prep our apples.

I am going to start with 2 apples and depending on how many you want, you could go three,

three apples, so we are just going to have a washed apple, an apple I am using granny

smith, and once you washed it and dried it, we are going to go ahead and peel it and cut

out the core, so if you have an apple peel corer, go ahead and use that, lets go ahead

and peel our apples.

Okay and then just cut it in half, and then in quarters, and then you want to cut out

the middle part.

And then with this piece you are going to just cut about a 16th or 8th of an inch thick,

see that.

This part doesn't have to be exact.

So let's go ahead and do that with all the apples.

All right, that's ready to go.

I am going to go ahead and set these apples aside.

Now I am taking a baking sheet and I just lined it with a silicone baking mat, or you

can use parchment paper.

Now, take your puff pastry, and I just bought my puff pastry at Walmart, um most supermarkets

will sell it, and a lot of times they will come with their own parchment paper as well,

like this one came with parchment paper.

So I am just going to un-roll it.

And take it off, all right, there we go, now what we are going to do, is we are going to

take our knife and we want to score a little bit, about a half of an inch square around

this whole thing.

You don't want to cut all the way through, and if you want to get really fancy, you can

use a, like a ruler or whatever so you can get a really straight line, I am not too concerned

about that.

And this will allow the pastry to puff up around our the middle.

All right we got that scored, it also gives us a guide where to lay our apples.

So now we just start with an apple, an apple chunk like this, and we are just going to

start laying them down, and I like to do it, a little, so they over lap almost half way,

all right so just complete the other line, so this is going to be three lines of apples.

And now what we do is we are going to take our granulated sugar, and we are going to

go ahead and dust the top of these with our sugar.

And you can add like a teaspoon of cinnamon to this too if you like, and I will put the

amounts for these down below in the description, but we are really not measuring anything,

so it really doesn't matter about the amounts too much, and if you want this to be more

healthy you can leave the sugar off.

Now we are going to take some butter and I am just going to go ahead and cut this up

in cubes and dot the top of this with butter cubes, so little pieces of butter like this,

and then do the rest.

And now what you can do is if you want a really nice golden finish to your puff pastry you

can take some egg wash and go ahead and go around the edges.

Now we go ahead and put this in the oven and bake it at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes.

After 25 minutes let's go ahead and take our tart out of the oven, and now what I am going

to do is I am going to take my honey and I am going to heat it up in the microwave, for

about 15 seconds, just so it is going to be nice and liquidy for me.

Take my honey, a couple of tablespoons and I am just going to drizzle it on top, or baste

it on top, this step is optional, you don't have to use honey if you don't want to.

You could use like a jelly that you melt or a marmalade, or something like that.

All right and then let us put it back in the oven and let it bake for another 5 to 10 minutes.

And when your puff pastry apple tart comes out of the oven it will look something like

this.

Go ahead and let it cool for about 10 minutes before we cut into it.

All right now what I am going to do is I am going to go ahead and transfer this over to

my cutting board.

And I am just going to pick up the silicone baking mat like this, and then, go underneath

it with my spatulas here, put it down like that, so awesome.

And then what I am going to do, this is totally optional; is I am going to come in here with

powdered sugar and just sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar.

There you go and awesome apple tart.

And then when you want to serve it you just come in here with your pizza roller, like

that, and then it is up to you how big you want to do them, I usually just use my apples

as a guide, and there you go a nice little apple tart slice.

All right our puff pastry apple tart is done, it turned out amazing, really easy to do,

simple ingredients, if I can do it you can do it.

I am Matt Taylor this has been another episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, thank you for

joining me, as always if you have any questions or comments, put them down below and I will

get back to you as soon as I can.

Thumbs up, down in the corner, push it, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and check

out my other videos, take care.

Time for me to dive into a slice, oh yeah, I am going to grab this guy right here, mmm,

mmm, mmm,

How to make a PERFECT magic beginner knit crochet flower English Subtitles Translations - Duration: 18:56.

this will be a flower variation of the cheerful flower and I've made it to be

approximately the same size as the cheerful flower so it will fit in this

is the progress I've made with my cheerful flower blanket I decided I

wanted to add some different flowers in and this is a variation I came up with

it will fit in this shows I've taken a bullion stitch flower and put it right

in with the rest of my flower Afghan that I'm piecing together and it just

fits in there nice and perfect the hook size is AG or four millimeter crochet

hook this is the size tapestry needle I used for the smaller bullion stitch this

is the tapestry needle I purchased which is a larger one that I'll be using for

this project I bought it from jo-ann fabric and crafts we'll start with a

chain five join chain 1 work a single crochet chain 5 slip stitch in the

single crochet work two single crochet chain 5

slip stitch in the single crochet work two single crochet chain 5 slip stitch

in the single crochet work two single crochet through the loop chain 5 slip

stitch in the single crochet work two single crochet through the loop when

this is complete we'll have a total of six loops 12 single crochet we have two

more loops of 5 to do

work to single crochet now we're working on our last loop slip stitch in the top

of a single crochet work one single crochet slip stitch with the beginning

single crochet I'm going to leave this loop I'm not going to cut it off

and change colors now I'm going to take my little contraption for making the

boolean flower and I'm going to slip it right in here between my Gucci grip and

the other way is if you just have the plastic to about the course I already

have a plastic tube on here you can do it this way but I found that since I

have the Gucci grip on here I like to have a little bit more space and it

makes them a little bit more full by doing it just about like that the longer

needle works better with the larger crochet hooks and it'll stretch across

the front I can use this tapestry needle with an H or an eye crochet hook pull

the loop up drop it from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through

the loop wrap the yarn around the tapestry needle and hook seven times

four five six seven insert the hook through the loop with the tapestry

needle going on top wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and then pull

through all the loops wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through

you

I am making my Slipknot and I will be slip stitching my new color onto the

flower you can start it in any loop when we're finished we'll be cutting the

green now chain three now pull up and make a larger loop here take the hook

off the loop insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop just

like that i've been wrapping the yarn around seven times you can do more or

less at your choice there's four five six seven

now I insert the hook through the loop with the needle going on the top wrap

the yarn over pull it through the loop grab a hold of all the loops pull it

through just like that wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and I've

completed my first bullion stitch pull the loop up that you just completed drop

it from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap

your yarn around seven times there's two three four five six seven insert the

hook through the loop the tapestry needle goes on top wrap the yarn over

the hook pull it through and then pull it through the loops just like that wrap

the yarn over and pull through now to our complete pull the loop up drop it

from the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap

the yarn around the tapestry needle and hook seven times there's four five six

seven insert the hook through the loop with the tapestry needle going on top

wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and then pull through all the

loops

wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through pull the loop up drop it from

the hook insert the hook and the tapestry needle through the loop wrap it

around seven times three four five six seven insert the hook through the loop

tapestry needle goes on top wrap the yarn over the hook pull through pull

through all the loops wrap the yarn over the hook pull through to secure we've

completed four billion stitches we have one more to do pull the loop up drop it

from the hook insert the hook and tapestry needle through the loop wrap it

around seven times there's two three four five six seven insert the hook

through the loop wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through pull through all

the loops wrap the yarn over the hook pull through the loop to complete the

five billion stitches for the first petal do two more chains and then work a

single crochet in this loop work a single crochet in the next loop and I've

temporarily removed my tapestry needle because it does get in the way sometimes

chain three I'm going to put it back on pull the loop up drop the loop from the

hook insert the crochet hook and tapestry needle through the loop wrap

the yarn around seven times four five six seven insert the crochet hook

through the loop tapestry needle on top wrap the yarn over over the hook pull it

through pull through all seven loops wrap the yarn over the hook and chain to

secure

and you'll be working five bullion stitches you can decide how many bullion

stitches you want to make if you want to modify your flower there's a chain three

single crochet at the end single crochet on the first loop with a chain three

five bullion stitches worked and all the petals are the same now I have two more

stitches to do

I work the last single crochet slip stitch with the beginning chain

now I've completed the petals I'm going to remove my tapestry needle I don't

need it at this point I'm going to pick up my pink yarn that I left attached

wrap the yarn over the hook pull it through and I'm going to work a single

crochet through the single crochet round like that in the chains I'm going to

work a slip stitch the next chain work a slip stitch in the next chain work a

slip stitch if we flip our flower around there are long loops that were formed

when we created the bullion stitch we're going to use those and we are going to

insert our hook under the loop and make one single crochet and then make a

second single crochet we will be putting two single crochet in each loop on the

back side there's one two and I'm just inserting my hook underneath like that

one inserting it through again two so we'll have ten single crochet across the

top one two one two

and we will do one slip stitch in each chain

work a single crochet and a single crochet round below and this is what we

have for our petals now work one slip stitch in each of the three chains

two single crochet in each loop on the backside

these are the loops that I'm referring to there are there should be five now

work one two three four two single crochet in each loop go over to the

third loop five six seven eight nine ten

now work a slip stitch in each chain now will single crochet in the single

crochet round below between the petals just like that now we've completed two

petals each of the remaining four petals will be done the same way one slip

stitch in each of the three chains two single crochet in each loop on the back

side for a total of ten one slip stitch in each of the three chains on the way

down between the petals and then the single crochet I have finished the

edging around to the beginning single crochet I'm going to work a slip stitch

to join cut the yarn and then pull through the tail this completes the

bullion variation to the cheerful flower

this will show how to place the bullion flower in to the Afghan this petal will

be attached here the next petal will be attached here this one will be attached

right here and the last one right here so we will need for open petals it is

not necessary for the edging amount of the different flowers to match since

they are being centered you can find your Center and then kind of eyeball it

and place them in they don't have to be exact I'm at the center of my flower I

find the center of the matching flower make sure you have the right side facing

which I didn't so I had to flip it over otherwise I would have been adding my

flower to the wrong side now slip stitch it in just like that I'm going to work

one more single crochet in the loop I have two more loops back here

which means for single crochet now I'm at the center of the next flower petal

this is the one we just attached I'm going to be working with these two

petals I'm at the center of my next flower petal and I'm going to pick up

two loops for added security to the other flower petal attach this flower

petal to this flower petal wrap the yarn over pull it through now in the same

space work the second partial single crochet and attach it to the next flower

petal continue on around with the edging to the next flower petal I'm at the

third flower petal and I'm picking up the two loops here I will be joining

right in here I'm attaching to the first petal

I worked a single crochet in the same space attached to the next flower petal

and continue around to the last flower petal you've completed these three

flower petals or at the last flower petal

and continuing around to finish the edging that completes attaching the

flower

How To Make Video | Create AMAZING Videos With These Strategies - Duration: 18:11.

hey hey what's going on Aaron Chen here hope you're doing well if you're

watching my video right now then you're probably doing some research online

about some sort of video marketing strategy okay so you want to use video

to do marketing you don't know how to do it so you're here online you're trying

to do that search so I'm gonna talk about that over the next few minutes

because video has been one of the main things that has allowed me to take my

business from you know not but not in profit to very very profitable okay so

over the next few minutes I'm going to talk about my strategy you're gonna get

that stuff as well so I hope you enjoyed this video for those of you who don't

know me my name is Aaron Chen I've been online for nine years on building

businesses online actually failed for a big part of it eight years I didn't

really know what I was doing marketed lots of different things lots

of different business models made lots of mistakes but finally was able to

figure it out probably about a year year and a half ago now finally generated you

know hundreds of sales in my business last year so I want to teach you how I

did that and and one of the main ways that I did that was through video okay

so if you're not using video the first thing I would say is why why are you not how to make video

using video you have to use video ok video is not the marketing of the past

it's not the marketing of the future it is the marketing of today and it's gonna

stay for a very very long time okay and there are lots of you know there are

lots of very very practical reasons why video is so powerful and why a lot of

you know very big market is using and why it's so effective but the main

reasons I would tell you is just number one people get to see you face to face

write the whole thing about doing internet marketing whether you're doing

you know MLM affiliate marketing digital marketing it doesn't really

matter okay the fact that you know you're hiding behind a computer it makes

it very difficult for people to trust you right so number one if you had do

video people gonna see your face they're gonna get to know you they're gonna get

to know like and trust you and Trust is the biggest reason why people buy stuff

online okay so the the easiest way to get people to to know like and trust you

is through the medium of video okay because you get to see people's faces

you get to secure them speak you get to look into their eyes which is really

really important right and you get to get a sense of their character and then

the only way that you can do that is through video you can't do that through

email okay it's very difficult to do it through sales letters right I mean yes

it's possible to do it through sales that is an email but you have to learn

to be a master copywriter and even then they're not really getting the true

essence of you because you can hide it okay you can create different characters

by writing emails and stuff like that but it's very very difficult to fake

yourself via video okay and people buy from from real people that they know

like and trust okay so that's why you must do video alright and this is really

interesting because I started doing video when I first started marketing

nine years ago so in 2009 when I first got into this whole industry I did video

I went on YouTube and stuff like that but I had no idea what I was doing okay

absolutely none right and what I would do was you know I went I went with the

whole mentality that you know if you build it if you record it if you make it

and you upload it people are gonna find it right but that is the absolute that's

that's a fallacy okay very very important for you to understand that the

Internet is not about creating something and you know expecting people to just

find it it doesn't work that way right the Internet is kind of like a gigantic

vacuum of space alright that's what the internet is

and your websites your websites your blogs your articles your videos are like

little pieces of rocks floating in that gigantic vacuum of space that's what the

Internet is like right if you can imagine how fast the Internet is it's

basically like that okay so your content your websites all your stuff all your

your online assets are like little rocks floating in space and if you don't build

bridges you no bridges towards those towards those rocks towards your

properties then no one is ever gonna find your stuff okay so very important

to know that when you make content sorry one second guys when you meet when you

make content online whether it's an article whether you do a video or maybe

you build a website it's very very important for you to know and understand

how to get people to your stuff okay so in an in the example of YouTube right so

YouTube is a great platform in fact so what happened was when I first started I

I was on YouTube I made like hundreds of videos but I didn't realize that I

needed to get people to find my stuff and how do you get people to find your

stuff you have to learn to rank your videos okay so it's not just about

coming out with content it's about number one ranking your videos on

YouTube if that's your strategy okay or having leads and sending it to those

leads whether it's on Facebook or you know reddit or your list or others you

know other other you know social media marketing strategies okay

but as long as you're getting people to view your video that's how you get

people to consume your content right so I didn't know that nine years ago I just

did hundreds of videos and then I realized that most of my videos weren't

getting any views so and I didn't understand how to rank my videos at that

time on YouTube so I was wasting a lot of time so even though I was creating

content people weren't consuming my stuff so I wasn't getting any traction

okay so fast-forward you know seven eight years later I finally realized I

can actually actually quit that strategy for a long time I could quit that

strategy for like five or six years and then I decided to you know relook at

that strategy probably about a year year and a half ago right and then I learned

how to rank my videos and that's how I've started to get a lot of traction in

my business okay so not only have i perfected or gotten really really good

or a lot better doing video than i was nine years ago but i also have learned

how to rank my videos so people actually find them for certain keywords they

watch the video they like the stuff and then they they take action based on you

know the action that i told him to do okay it's pretty simple actually but if

you're not doing that if you're not ranking your video or coming out with

content in the first place then people aren't gonna be able to find

your stuff make sense right so now what do you you know if for those of you who

are a little bit scared of doing video okay and and I understand that it might

feel a little bit scary right because you've got your camera it's a little bit

unnatural to be honest especially if you're doing video for the first time

but but here's a little trick okay that you can do today and I promise you that

if you if you follow this exactly the way that I teach you by the time you've

done it and you've completed it which you know will take you

maybe an hour or so you're going to be a lot better like way way better at doing how to make video

video than you were when you first started okay so it's really really

simple all you do is you grab your iPhone or your Samsung or your video

camera or whatever phone you have okay think about what you want to talk about

and actually it doesn't even matter because this is just practice right it's

all about practice and honing your skill set okay online marketing is all about

practice guys okay whether it's you know doing webinars doing video setting our

email it's all practice okay and the problem with people in general all right

I'm not talking about you specifically I'm talking about I'm speaking to the

choir right now right I'm just talking about people in general they're way too

worried about what other people think of this stuff that they put out okay now

you have to remember that the people that see your stuff are probably not

gonna buy from you in the first place because your stuff probably isn't gonna

be that good to begin with okay does that make sense right so even if you're

sending out crappy emails you're doing crappy videos maybe your website doesn't

look that great it doesn't matter because these people aren't gonna buy

from you anyway okay they're not gonna buy from this version of the stuff that

you put out but it doesn't matter because it's practice yeah these these

people like cannon fodder all you're doing is you're getting stuff out there

you're honing your craft you're getting better right and eventually your stuff

is gonna get pretty good okay because you're gonna start doing a lot of it

okay once you start doing a lot of it you get really really good at it and

once you get really really good at it the people that see your stuff at that

time that version of you those are the people that are gonna get they're gonna

start to know like and trust you and then they're gonna start to buy your

stuff does that make sense right so don't put too much pressure on yourself

okay you know the first year that I was in business I did hundreds of videos

right and if I look back at my videos now man they cringe

you know that cringey I mean there were okay they wanted that bad but like I

wasn't smooth I wasn't you know relaxed I wasn't comfortable I couldn't just

sort of wing it I had to write everything down I had to memorize it now

I just wing my videos I literally I think about what I want to talk about

for 10 seconds and then I just I just go I just hit recall it I make mistakes I

don't even pause my videos I don't edit them okay you don't have to do that okay

because you're your real human being right and real human beings make

mistakes you know so it's okay if you you know if you if you can't think of

the word or you know you make a little you know you kind of stammer you say um

you know you make a couple of mistakes you correct yourself it's okay right as

long as the general quality of your video is pretty high and the stuff that

you're talking about is valuable and you're actually you know creating good

content that people can use and it can help them in their business their lives

or whatever you're trying to market online right that's the most important

thing okay it's not so important that everything has to be perfect all right

sorry guys last tool so coming back to what I was saying so what you want to do

then is so this is the strategy to making really really good video if

you're really nervous and you've never done it before okay grab your phone okay

and then think about what you want to say hit record look into the the lens of

the camera okay which is basically a little dot on your camera if it's if

it's your big camera it's basically the center of the lens that is the eye of

the camera that's the eye of your audience that you're gonna be speaking

to right look directly in there and basically just do your video do a five

to ten minute video and just talk about what you want to talk about it doesn't

matter if you make mistakes just try and get through it I know it's gonna feel a

little bit awkward right which is fine and then when you're done with it I want

you to stop and I don't even want you to watch it

don't watch your video okay you want to hit stop and then you just want to

delete it okay now after you've deleted it I want you to do it nine more times

in a row just record the five to ten minute video ten times do not stop you

might get pretty tired but by the time you finish your tenth video you're gonna

be pretty tired okay that's gonna take you like an hour an hour and a half

something like that okay but I promise you that by the time you get to your

tenth video it's gonna be way better than your first video okay because

you're doing a couple of things here first of all you're just practicing

right there's no pressure okay you're not gonna upload that video it's not

really about uploading the video it's more about practicing for yourself to

get comfortable talking in front of a camera alright because if you think

about it speaking in front of a camera is actually quite unnatural right

because usually when we're speaking we're speaking to someone right you're

speaking to an audience you're speaking to a friend you're speaking to a

colleague as you're speaking to a family member so when you're talking people are

usually talking back at you okay and you're usually feeding off them but when

you do videos like this you have nobody to feed off okay so you just constantly

have to you know have a flow and a train of thought and just deliver content and

that's okay okay and you can sort of you know start to add your personality into

it a little bit later on but it's not so important at the start okay just get the

content out make sure you're delivering good content it's smooth you make sense

you're that's all you're looking for okay all

that personality stuff that comes later okay once you start to get really

comfortable in front of the camera that you can start you know using hand

gestures and you know making jokes and doing different things right and you can

see in some of my videos I'm just I'm very comfortable with a camera so I

don't really care okay I can I can totally be myself I can make mistakes I

can say stupid things haha hopefully not too often right and it's okay alright

and you'll get to that point but initially you just want to you just want

to get the content out okay you just want to practice and so by the time you

hit your tenth video you're gonna be much much more comfortable okay and then

the next day okay so let's say you do this on a Monday on the Tuesday I want

you to do the same thing again okay think about what you want to deliver you

know whether it's talking about losing weight you know talking about the three

strategies to lose weight or you know the five strategies to generate ten

leads every single day whatever it is okay depending on the niche market

you're in hit record make another ten videos okay and then once you're done

with that maybe on the Wednesday so the third day that's when you do your real

video okay that's when you do write your real video

in fact when you what you could even do is don't even set yourself a time to do

your new you know the video that's when you're gonna upload just just record

them all and then take the best one and upload it you know it could be your

eighth one it could be a fifth one it could be a twenty-fifth one it doesn't

really matter okay but the more you do video the better you're gonna get and

the more comfortable you're gonna feel around the camera and then it becomes

really really easy okay become super easy now here's here's

a couple more tips that you can use okay what I would do is is when you first

start out okay don't worry so much about the quality of your videos okay

the important thing is to get your videos out there that's the only way

that you're gonna create a lot of content and you're gonna create traction

okay if you if you're too worried about the quality of your video as in oh it's

gonna be perfect the lighting has to be amazing you know how to make video

oh I made a mistake here I have to delete it I'm gonna try again you know

oh wow I want to make super professional videos and I want to cut everything

together put pictures and all that stuff if you're doing all that stuff you're

just not gonna get the content out there okay so I would say for your first like

100 videos don't even worry about any of that stuff okay if you go back and look

at my videos on my You Tube channel you'll see that I don't I don't do any

of that okay because what I figure is that if I worry about all that stuff

it's gonna take me too long to create content okay and if time becomes an

issue you're not gonna get enough content out there okay which is why I

don't do that okay I literally just take my camera I hit record I just do it 10

15 maybe 20 minute video I hit pause I don't even cut mine you know myself

you know going in and pressing the record button off and on I don't even

bother right because it's all about creating good content and getting it out

to the marketplace in the best way that you can at that point in time okay later

on once you know you've got time and you know maybe you've got an editor and all

that stuff and you can just get you know you can outsource that kind of stuff

then maybe you can increase the quality of your videos right but the content of

your video initially is the most important thing and just the volume of

content that you come up with is the most important thing okay so I hope that

makes sense here so so don't worry so much about it because you you will still

get a lot of traction I promise you that if your videos are good and you're

delivering them well and you're talking about good stuff that people can use in

their lives and it can change your life believe me when I say people will love

that type of content okay don't worry so much about you know you know you know

cutting it you know and perfectly and all that stuff and having titles and

having music and all that stuff don't worry about that you can you can do all

that stuff later on okay so that's pretty much it okay I think that if you

focus on that if you number one if you focused on doing video

it's gonna make a big big difference to your business overall okay if you're not

doing video at all you're gonna ask yourself why okay you

got to start doing video because I almost guarantee that as soon as you

start doing video your conversions are gonna double in triple even quadruple

okay because all of a sudden people just connect with you and people like to buy

from people that they can see and that they like and they can build a

relationship with okay and people that they're attracted to that that's very

very important right and the only way that you can do that is through video

through webinars through video through YouTube through Facebook that kind of

thing okay all all different forms of video whether it's YouTube a Facebook

live a webinar doesn't really matter as long as you're getting on camera and

you're recording yourself somehow that's counted okay so let me know in

the comments below what you thought all right you know how to have some of these

things that we've spoken about how you know is this what's stopping you from

doing video okay are you gonna do video after you you know use some of these

strategies in in this video that I'd you know that I taught you today yeah I hope

so if you have some value from this video please give me a thumbs up I

really I really appreciate all the thumbs up in all the comments that you

give because it lets me know whether you enjoy this content or not okay and if

Arduino and Servos: How to Make a Laser Turret with XOD - Duration: 12:32.

In this video, I'm going to teach you about servos!

What they are, how they work, and how to use them.

Then I'm going to show you a practical example where we make a simple laser turret!

Finally, I'm going to show you how to program an Arduino to control

the laser turret using a free, open source, visual

programming language called XOD.

What is a servo?

In this context, the term servo is short for servo motor.

The term servo means there is a closed loop control system that accurately

regulates the position of the servo's output shaft.

Now let me go into more detail.

In my previous video about H bridges I showed you a circuit that can control the speed

and direction of a motor.

But that's all it can do.

The motor just moves faster or slower depending on the

duty cycle.

And if you put a load on the motor it slows down.

And there's no way to accurately control how much the motor rotates.

This is what is called an open loop control system i.e. there is no way to regulate

the output, you're just changing the power going to the motor and hoping for the best.

A servo motor is a motor with a closed loop control system.

This means that you do have a way to control the speed and position, regardless of the

load.

Here's how they work.

You've got a DC motor being powered by an H bridge.

Then you have a series of gears to increase the torque of the system.

Most cheaper servos will have a plastic gearing system, but servos designed for higher holding

torque will usually have metal gears.

(alert noise) Metal Gear?!

Yes.

They're very solid.

Next, a servo will have some sort of feedback system that detects the rotation angle of

the output.

It could be a potentiometer, a magnetometer or

an encoder, but for hobby servos it's usually just a

potentiometer.

Inside the servo motor there's some circuitry that compares the user's desired rotation

angle with what the servo's feedback system is measuring.

If the output has rotated even a tiny bit in the wrong direction, it

adjusts the power to the H bridge, and makes sure the output is exactly where it's supposed

to be.

When you put all these things together, you get a very useful building block in robotics.

From simple toys to industrial robotics and animatronics nearly

every robot will have servo motors in some form or another.

There are many types of servos out there, from many different manufacturers, and they

all have different ratings.

The main specifications to look out for are the input voltage range, the stall torque,

and the speed.

You should also be aware of the servo's travel.

This refers to how much the output shaft can rotate.

It could be anywhere from 90 degrees to 200 degrees

or more.

And you can even get servos that continuously rotate.

Servos come in standardized sizes.

These are "standard" servos, and these are sub micro servos.

These would probably be all you'd ever care about

for projects at home, but I want you to be aware that for

bigger robotics projects you can get servos in larger form factors.

If all these options seem overwhelming to you, don't worry.

A good general purpose servo you can use is the Hitec HS-311.

It's been around for years.

It's functional and it's reliable.

In bulk you can get sub micro servos for $2 a pop.

I'll put links in the video description section.

Ok, so now you know what servos are and where to get one.

Let's talk about how to use them.

Every servo will come with a bag of extra parts.

These things are called servo horns.

The output shaft of a servo has these little teeth on them that grip the horn.

Screw the horn onto the output shaft, and then you can

wiggle the horn around.

(Juvenile laughing)

The point of the horn is that you can screw other mechanical parts onto it.

Here's an example where I have some plastic gears attached to the horn, and

when I rotate the servo shaft the gripper opens and closes.

And you can use servos to control pretty much anything mechanical in any axis.

Next let's talk about how to actually control a servo.

In addition to horns, servos also have pigtails.

I swear I'm not making this stuff up.

The colors will be either orange red brown or yellow red black.

Red and brown is where you connect power to the servo, and this

usually needs to be between 4.5 and 6 volts.

So most people use either a 3 or 4 cell alkaline or NiMH

battery pack, or sometimes people will use a 5 volt switch mode power supply.

For this project I'm just going to use my bench power supply set to

5V.

This third wire is where you connect the input signal that controls the servo.

Technically the signal is a PWM signal, but it's a very special PWM signal.

We're going to start by sending out a pulse that is 1.5ms wide, at 50Hz.

And the pulse is 0 to 5 volts.

This will center the servo.

You can repeat the pulses slightly faster or slower than 50Hz and the servo will still

work.

The most important thing here is the pulse width, not the frequency.

If we change the pulse width from 1.5ms to 2ms, the servo rotates clockwise.

And if we change the pulse width from 1.5ms to 1ms, the

servo rotates counterclockwise.

You can move a little further than those extremes, but the standard signal

is expected to be 1 to 2 ms wide.

I've been using a fancy waveform generator to generate these pulses for demonstration

purposes.

But you don't need one of these to do this at home.

It is possible to generate servo pulses with a 555 timer circuit,

but I would not recommend it.

Really the best way to do it is with a microcontroller like an Arduino

because it will give you very precise control over the timing.

Make sure you've watched my previous tutorial on Arduino if you need an introduction,

and then soon I'm going to show you how to use XOD to

create the servo signals.

Okay, let's talk about assembling the laser turret.

If you want, you could simply glue a second servo to a

servo horn, and tape on a laser, but I wanted something a little nicer than that for the

video.

So I ended up buying a pan-tilt servo kit from Digikey.

You can get them pre-assembled or buy the servos separately.

You can use any dollar store laser pointer for

the laser, or you can get them in bulk for even less than a dollar

on Amazon.

The laser modules have integrated resistors, so you just need to give them 3 to 5 volts

and they will work without any special circuitry.

Since they are cheap, I glued two of them onto the pan tilt head.

To control the turret in the X and Y direction, I'm using two 10k potentiometers.

The output of these will feed a 0 to 5 volt analog signal into the

Arduino on pins A0 and A1.

If you're really creative you could hack an old analog joystick to be the controller.

I already mentioned I'm going to power the servos with an external 5 volt supply, and

over here you can see how I'm using Arduino output pins 8 and

9 to feed the servo pulse signals into the servos.

Here's a view of the overall project.

Notice how I have a jumper wire connecting the ground from the external

5 volt supply to the ground of the Arduino.

They both need to have a common ground connection in order

for things to work reliably!

Okay, that takes care of the hardware side of things, now let's talk about programming

the Arduino so we can control the servos with the potentiometer.

We're going to be using a free, open source visual programming environment called XOD.

Go to XOD.io, then click IDE, Download Desktop IDE at the

top.

Register if you want, but I'm going to proceed without

registration.

Now you can download XOD for any of the major operating systems.

After you run the installer and start XOD, you'll be greeted with the option to run through

a set of tutorials.

I do recommend you check these out at some point, but for now let's create a blank new

project.

We give it a name... and now we have a blank space to work with.

So the first thing we're going to do is go to the common hardware list on the left.

You can see a lot of devices are supported but we are just going

to look for pot, short for potentiometer.

And we're going to drag two of them onto the workspace.

These little boxes are called "nodes", and the way XOD works is

you create a bunch of these little nodes that represent inputs and outputs on the microcontroller,

and you connect them with wires in the interface.

Now let's go back to our hardware list and create two nodes for the two servos we want

to control.

And we're going to connect the output of the potentiometers to the servos by dragging a

couple of wires.

At this point I recommend you go to view, toggle helpbar.

This will give you a guide to what all the little

input and output parts of each node are.

For example, a servo node has two inputs: the output port

number on the Arduino, and the value to send the servo.

In this case the servo node accepts a value from 0

to 1 to represent the servo's rotation.

And for the potentiometer, you can see how the output is a value from 0 to 1, depending

on how much you have rotated the potentiometer.

This is perfect, it's exactly what the servo node would expect to see

on the input, so we can connect the two nodes directly with a wire.

Next, for the sake of clarity, we should start giving our potentiometers and servos meaningful

names.

And we do that by clicking on the nodes, and then

typing names into the properties section on the left.

We're just going to call them X and Y potentiometers

and servos.

Now that we have some meaningful names, we can start defining which pins our hardware

is connected to.

I want my X potentiometer input to be Arduino pin A0, so we are okay here.

I want my Y potentiometer input to be pin A1, so let's change the port

number to 1.

I want my X servo output signal to come from Arduino pin 8, so we set that to 8, and let's

make the Y servo signal appear on pin 9.

And that's it!

We're done!

Let's go to Deploy, Upload code to Arduino.

Double check your board type and COM port settings are correct, and hit upload.

It'll take a few seconds to compile the visual, node based

programming into native microcontroller code.

And there you go!

Now we can use the potentiometers to rotate the laser turret in different directions.

But there is a small problem...

I don't like how in the Y direction, the head can move all the way down to

the floor, or point straight up at the ceiling.

I'm not enemies with Spiderman.

I'd rather have it so a full potentiometer rotation will move the servo

up and down in roughly a 40 degree arc.

To do this, let's go back to XOD, and let's browse the list of core nodes.

These are all the different math operations you can do.

We're looking for one called map range.

Let's drag that onto the workspace, and we can delete the existing wire by clicking

on it and hitting backspace.

Then we connect the potentiometer's output to the map range node's

input, and connect its output to the servo.

If we click on the map range node the help bar will explain how it works, and we're going

to make it so that a value of 0 to 1 coming from the potentiometer

will end up being mapped to a value between 0.5 and

0.75 going to the servo.

This should limit the movement of the Y axis servo.

After compiling and uploading the code to the Arduino again, now the travel range of

the Y servo is a lot more practical.

It's a very simple project, but the principles you learned here will apply to building more

serious robots... or more fun robots!

Thank you for watching!

then decrease a stitch by knitting two stitches together

To knit stitches together in place,

simply grab two stands instead of one

and knit them normally as if thy were only one stitch

Knit normally

until all you have left is 4 sts on left needle

Then realize the second decrease

this time by performing a simple surje

To make a single stitch, slip the left needle stitch on the right needle without knitting

then knit the next stitch as normal

With the left needle take the slipped stich

and pass it over the knitted stitch

Finish with two knit stitches

Repeat this operation as many times as necessary

How to make rare cryptokitties mistletoe - Duration: 3:02.

okay guys, Hi I am here with Crypto kittes today and I am going to show you how to make a mistletoe baby.

This will probably work for any rare kitties

so with this mistletoe baby that I made

Here are it's parents they are not mistletoes

and no I did not buy him.

What I looked for is what I will show you

These two cats I looked for This cattribute right here

This oldlace

And on him I looked for this one The Gerbil.

And it took me about I want to say 4 maybe 5 times to be able to get 1 mistletoe baby

But after that you have a fancy mistletoe

So I will show you what I looked for and how I got to that conclusion.

I went this this website Kittyexplorer.com

i'll put the link in the description

I went to the price history and I just threw in mistletoe and I searched

You can go and click on one and

You can go here and you can go down and see what there parents are.

Now guess what if you look at this one i bet it's going to have oldlace

Oldlace! See that?

And he is going to have gerbil

Gerbil! There you go!

so that is kinda how I found out that that's what the mistletoe babies how they were making them

like I said it can be used for any rare cat that you are looking to find

you just go to that kittyexplorer and then you just kinda look.

You see what kind of cattribute that is the same

and just kinda try them out it could take a few tries

but you eventually will have a rare kitty

anyway if you like this video I will put my eathercoin

feel free to donate and feel free to like my cats

Thanks!

Commit to Change Yourself | How to make better decisions Part 3 - Swami Mukundananda - Duration: 8:48.

you have reached a certain station in life a place in existence think of where

you were 15 years ago from there you have reached here today what brought you

here it was the choices you kept on making

these choices are the nodal points that determine our life some of these

decisions we make can be reversible some of the decisions cannot be reversed

Jerry Lewis an old comedian he said the biggest gift I received from anybody was

a movie of my marriage day you know in the olden days they would have those

celluloid films so the movie of my marriage day was the biggest gift I

received because when I get fed up and frustrated I play that movie in Reverse

and feel I'm out of it all he realizes it's a decision he made and he can't get

out of it you made decisions regarding your spouse

decisions regarding your carrier whether he'll be an engineer or a doctor or an

accountant or a business person decisions regarding what you will

believe it cetera and that is what brought you here

now the decisions we make will determine where we will be 15 years down the line

every decision will have consequences big or small the interesting thing is

that the power of decision is within us we don't need it from the outside it's

not that somebody has to do something to us to enable us to decide God has

blessed us all with this power of choice how we exercise it is our own discretion

today you could decide I will become a better person will today be that moment

when you make that decision and bring about the transformation that Tulsidas

achieved but is it so simple do you just decide and change yourselves not really

it's not just the decision itself it is the commitment to your decision in other

words it is the energy you bring into that decision there are some wishy-washy

decisions and there are other determined choices somebody told me Swamiji it's

not difficult to give up smoking I give it up every day I give it up in the

morning but then after that I start again and the evening and next morning

again I give it up that is one kind of decision and there are other kinds of

decisions that shape the world you know there was this huge Soviet bloc of

countries the USSR and it's satellites and then there was this one man lek

valensa union leader from poland who decided i will not tolerate this

injustice and he launched a movement that slowly dismantled that soviet bloc

there was the decision by mahatma gandhi when as a lawyer he went to South Africa

to practice he was subjected to racial discrimination and then he decided that

this will not do he made a decision I will not tolerate it and he launched

movement that became so popular it preceded his fame preceded him in India

when he reached India he found mass support again in India he made a

decision that through the principles of SATYA and ahimsa truthfulness and

non-violence we shall achieve freedom that decision was so strong it was

unprecedented in the history of humankind that a country achieved

freedom from the biggest empire in the world through nonviolent means that was

a decision so it's not just a matter of making choices it's a matter of choosing

strongly few decades ago when I was studying the scriptures in the ashram of

Kripalu ji Maharaj I met him in Mumbai and he said you come to my Ostrom I will

teach you and then you go and spread this knowledge so I had never done

public speaking so as a part of the training

I decided to practice public speaking but in the ashram in those days it was a

small ashram with 20 residents there was no public so how you practice speaking

before the public when there is no public I used to practice speaking

before the wall and that would be induced laziness okay I would stop every

five minutes so I went up to my spiritual master and I said Maharaj ji

please assign somebody in the ashram who can sit there and listen to me while I

practice to speak that was an unreasonable demand because everybody

has their duties nobody is free to sit and listen so he told me something which

was very important he said look my son remember this formula always suet comma

bhavati Todd cutter Parvati at cutter poverty Todd karma karoti

karmic rotated of English but deity this is a mantra from the Vedas if you have

an intense desire you will make a firm decision when you make a firm decision

you will put in strong effort and that is how you will become the carelessness

you are experiencing while speaking is not coming from the outside it is coming

from the inside and it doesn't have to be overcome from the outside it has to

be overcome from the inside so we can change if we are committed to it
