Youtube daily to make Dec 27 2017

Hi everyone! ddrawf is online

And today we are going to talk about

how to create calendars in Photoshop

First of all Photoshop is not designed to creating calendars

Nevertheless

if you are ready to suffer I will show you how it can be done

Here's what you'll need:

More or less powerful PC

Photoshop CS5 or a newer one plus some knowledge of how it works

Calendar Maker Script (see link in description)

Important! Save-before-crash skill and I will show why

And very important - Patience and Willpower

Ready? Let's start then!

I'd recommend you to apply some PS settings manually

Go to "Edit - Preferences... - General..."

or use hotkey Ctrl+K on Windows Cmd+K on Mac

Go to Performance

Set a little bit more than 70% of the allocated memory

Choose "Big and Flat"

Set scratch-disk's configuration

I recommend not to choose a system one from the list

Prioritize it this way:

Prioritize it this way:

let the disk with the most free space be the highest one

and locate all the others lower

All this will simplify our work a little

Ok, let's go ahead

We'll need 13 images:

one for each month and one for the cover

Since 2018 is a Chinese year of the dog, the images will relate to it

Actually I just adore doggies :)

Go to pexels.com

and search for the images you'd like to see in your calendar

Or use keyword search

Choose an image you like and download it in the necessary quality

(the larger the better, but don't go overboard)

I save the links to the images in order

to specify their authors

Select 13 images this way...

Create a new A4 format doc in PS

with Resolution 300 dpi and CMYK Color mode

Turn the canvas at 90 degrees

Then when you choose an order

(front cover and 12 months)

drag the found images to our doc

And adjust their size

Then rasterize the layer

Repete these actions with every image

In the end crop them to get rid of all the unnecessary parts

Then highlight all the added layers

and set the proper order for them, to be exact:

Layer - Arrange - Reverse

Now export all the layer into separate images

Go to "File - Scripts - Export Layers to Files..."

Set the path to the file, the necessary format

and the prefix in the window

Then click Run and wait until the script finishes its work

Then we are going to work with the Calendar Maker Script

Start it, go to the Expert Mode

And make the necessary settings in each tab

For example I want to place the heading on the right

Tick the month background in order

to set the common background

Set the number of rows and columns to 1

So that there was one month for each of your images

Go to the week section

and set the display of week numbers in accordance with the accepted standard

Untick "0" in the day section and set backgrounds for holidays

...and upload the lists with the names of months, days of the week and holidays

You can find the detailed instruction on complying such lists

in the User Guide which is attached to the script

I just unticked the "Group by month" checkbox for holidays

as grouping is not required for this task namely

As for fonts, I prefer Garamond

but you can choose any font you like

Now I've prepared the necessary parameters for all the elements

and I'll just set them

Set intervals the way you prefer

I've already prepared the necessary values for this task

Enable autosaving

and select "Save result to a user doc", then choose the A4 Landscape

Unselect "Adjust if the result has a larger size"

The PRO-version users can save all their settings

as well as upload them

You can find my settings in the video description

Check the settings

then click "Create!" and …

have a cup of coffee :)

We have a doc

(or dog)

with the prepared info for months

Let's focus on holidays even more

I'm creating a new set which I'll write all the Actions into

You can also download the "Calendar 2018.atn"

Please find the link in the description

Before you make a record please check if one text layer with the holiday date is selected

Then click the record button and perform any actions to the layer

Then stop the recording and cancel all the actions in the history panel

Start CalendarMS again

and go to the "Finishing touches" section

Choose "Select Type: use year selectors"

And then the year's group

Set a holiday list

which you specified when you created the calendar as your goal

Click "Select this!", fill in the year, click OK and wait

Now select the recorded Action from the Calendar 2018 set

Check if "Apply to each of the selected layers separately" is selected

And click "Play"

As you can see, the way all the holidays look changed

Now select all the holiday backgrounds

so that it would be more convenient to work with them

Set "Backgrounds - holidays" as your goal and click "Select this!"

Close the script window

Use the "Move tool" to change the location for holiday backgrounds

Now I want to group all the month backgrounds together

To do it I also use "Finishing touches"

and set "Backgrounds - months" as a goal

In the end I merge all the backgrounds into one group

Ctrl + G on Win Cmd + G on Mac

Now let's work with holiday backgrounds

Go to any smart-object related to a holiday

Place an image or a figure there

I'm going to use a shape of a little paw print

(as it's the year of the dog, as you remember)

I remove the red border

and crop its sides a little

Then I save the results

As you can see

now there is a cute paw print near each holiday

Then I return the display of all the months again

To do it I select all the layers

go to the menu and choose Layer

Show Layers

or Layer - Hide Layers and then Layer - Show Layers

Now you can merge each month into a separate layer

Choose a layer group, Right Click - Merge Group

Repeat for each group.

Then align the layers relative to the center of the canvas

I did it wrong :)

Instead of selecting all the year group I selected each element of it separately

Highlighted the white Background

and aligned them vertically and horizontally

with the help of the Move Tool

You'll see how I fix it just a little bit later

Check the pixel size of your canvas

We'll use it later

Go to "Image - Canvas Size"

Edit the month background

Go to any smart-object of the month

Increase its size to the A4 in pixels

Now it's time to correct the mistake

Align the layers with months along the upper border

Now I place the background which I prepared in advance to the smart-object

(find the link to the background in the description)

Open the document with the background, copy and paste its content into the smart-object

Remove the red border

Save the changes into the smart-object

Adjust the months to the created background

And then you'll need to catch the moment to save :)

Don't forget about it

Now I want to move the dates

to the bottom left corner of my cell

To do it I write a new Action

Now I'll apply it for every month.

Move our group a little bit lower from the upper border

Merge the month layers into a separate group

Then let's add some colors to the month backgrounds

As I used vector shapes

all we'll need to do

is to change its colors in the settings

If the same color scheme

for all the months is OK for you, that would be enough

All the back parts already changed their colors

as we use copies of smart-objects

But I want to add different colors for each image

To do it

we'll need to make all the smart-objects independent from each other

Write an Action again

Copy the current smart-object through the menu

Layer - Smart Objects - New Smart Object via Copy

We'll get a new smart-object

Go to the lower layer using the "Alt+[" or "Opt+[" on Mac

And delete it

I use this action for the other smart-objects

Now if you apply some changes to one smart-object

it will NOT effect the other layers

"Pack up" the backgrounds

and catch a moment to save

You'll need to do it in order to avoid this T_T

Well, I remade it all over

and found a moment to save the document

Now we'll enlarge our canvas to the A3 size

in order to place the images to the top part

Go to "Image - Canvas Size..."

Set Percent

200% height

and Anchor relative to the bottom center arrow

Change the Color Mode to CMYK; Go to "Image"

Mode - CMYK Color

Don't Flatten; Don't Rasterize

Now to reduce the load for Photoshop let's make each month

a separate PSD file

To do it I'll write an Action again

Go to the previous layer

Alt+[ or Opt+[

Add the layer preceding the previous one to the selection

by Alt+Shift+[ or Opt+Shift+[

Create a duplicate and add it to the new doc with a name

Return to the original doc

and stop the recording

Enable "Toggle dialog on\off" in the "Make document" subcommand

in order to manually choose a name for the document

Perform the Action for the other months

For example, let's take August

and see how to choose the correct color scheme for a photo

Now that we have each month as a separate file

we can return the smart-object content back

o the document

Place the "august" photo into the document

Select the needed element of the back part in the "Color stripes" group

and use the eyedropper to apply the color from the photo to this element

Adjust the color by eye

so that it would harmonize with the photo

Repeat the action for all the other elements of the group

and get the result which looks smart

We'll color the numbers too

That is the reason we chose the grey color for them

This way it will be easier to add colors to them

This task is also routine

so I write an action for it

Create a layer

and select the area below the names of the days of the week

Fill it with any color.

Create a clipping mask on the current layer

Set blending mode to color

To unselect use Ctrl+D or Cmd+D on Mac

Our action is ready to be performed for other months

Select the layer with dates before you start the action

Months do not have the same number of weeks

There are 6 of them in the template

as you can see there are 5 in August

That's why we can remove the extra line

with the help of another Action

Let's go forward to adding holidays

If you remember a document

with text layers was created upon the calendar creation

Change it to the CMYK Color mode

Now copy and paste each layer with holiday names

to the corresponding month

Choose a necessary position for it

select its font, size and color

By the way

I was foolish enough to choose the blue color initially

If I had chosen grey

I would not have had to change its color now

All I needed to do in this case is to merge it with the date layer

and the color would appear automatically with the help of the clipping mask

Now let's merge again our months into one document

Go to "File - Scripts - Load files into Stack..."

Set Use - Folder

then Browse...

choose a folder with the PSD-files for our months

Click OK

Please pay attention that our PSDs

must NOT contain smart-objects

I decided to place the month a little bit lower in order

not to have such a large empty space in the bottom part

Again I will use Actions which proved to be so useful

Now I export each layer to TIFF

Go to "File - Scripts... - Export Layers to Files"

Now it's time to cover our calendar

I chose this luxury cover for the front cover

The front cover does not require a lot of actions

We'll just mark the year somewhere near

and add a couple of effects

As for the back cover

we'll go the other way

We'll create a new document

with the A4 Landscape

Place all the images there

and then reduce their size

so that they looked like thumbnails

Then place images into the 5x3 table

Add a year and a caption

and then adjust the paragraph parameters

All that is left to do now

is to add authors of the photos

and the necessary links

Now I want to create a multipage TIFF

Later I will export all the layers for printing from it

Why?

Well, it is more convenient.

Some may find a multipage TIFF handy

and some would prefer several TIFFs in one folder

I will write one more Action

or maybe two Actions

which is going to transform the TIFFs into separate layers

Remember

that you can find the set of actions here in the video description

When everything is ready I use

File - Scripts... - Export Layers to Files

When I thought the work was finished

I found out one more defect

After printing 5 mm will be cropped from the sides

In case it is not crucial in relation to photos

the dates of the months can be "cut off"

(which is not good at all)

I'll fix this issue with the help of the last Action

which will move the month a little to the left and add the missing 5mm.

Of course

these overmeasures should be taken into account in advance

but I forgot about them

and I'm too lazy to remake this video from the start :)

This is how the results of my work look

I did this work according to my wishes

That's all

Those who watched the video to the end

I'm proud of you

You are AWESOME!

Have a perfect day!

Merry Christmas

and Happy New Year!

Bye!

How to make wedding table favors and place settings tutorial 👰🤵 - DIY wedding ideas - Duration: 7:30.

hi crafters its Hannah from handcrafted cards calm welcome to my channel today

today we're going to be making this little project these are table favors

and place settings or in one so this is part of the wedding series that I've

been doing it's their quickest quickest project ever I'm going to be showing you

how to make these and these are perfect they sit quite nicely on the table for

your play setting so let's get started okay so these are the quickest table

favors ever or any kind of favors so I'm going to start with a piece of a six by

six this is the choose to the air designer series paper as we've been

using for all of the projects so all you need to do is put double-sided tape

along three edges and three alright and you're gonna take off the tape on one

edge the one where there isn't anything on the other side so this one you've got

two pieces of tape there so we're taking off this one

ah and then you're gonna start to bend it around and we don't want to fold it

really we kind of just want to curve it when you could have done this before

we've actually put the tape on Bob oh well so start to curve it around and

then basically you're gonna stick that to that so you've got it nice and curvy

just stick it down just looking to make sure it's lined up like so press it down

oops Oh get your fingers in there and press it down okay so now you've got

this weird-lookin thing so take off the tape backing from one edge doesn't

matter which one and then squeeze that closed so I'm just squeezing it together

and you want to crease it where the tape is but not further down so I've creased

just to a point like so then you would put your goodies inside and I don't

actually have any goodies to be put in here yeah I haven't got anything so then

you would put your goodies inside and then take the tape backing off the other

end

and then you need to squeeze it in the opposite direction so this one squeeze

that way so this time I'm going to squeeze that way you're gonna go like so

so that one is that direction and the bottom line is that direction so you'll

have a little pouch how quick and easy was that super super quick so these are

as well as table favors they're going to be the place settings so it does sit

quite quite nicely on the table so just for the play setting part I'm going to

take from the cheese to the ear stamp set either the starburst a kind of one

or they're certainly one I think I might actually use deserty one this time and

just start in basic black oh thank god that's too close to the edge Donna I

need to cut it out so we'll go there

we're gonna punch it out you see so it needs to be closer to further in the

middle then I'm just gonna take the one of the journaling pens and which ones

does it go on either one doesn't matter then write the guests name on so you've

got fancy handwriting even better this is not fancy at all

so just write the name then punch out with these starbursts

oh come on oh that's I need to go further in the middle up in the middle

and then I'm gonna stick that on with some dimensionals so you think I'm gonna

pop it there actually so put your dimensionals in a line down the middle

so then I can just sit there and that is your table favor and place setting so

you can just pop those on your wedding tables and you're good to go so whatever

good is you're gonna put they can take those home or pop them open straight

away so that is it I mean I told you it was a quick project so that's the I hope

that you enjoyed this video and you found it useful either if you're

crafting your own wedding or somebody else's let me know what you think and I

will also link the other videos in this series in the description and a few

other tutorials there for you as well so thank you very much for watching and

I will see you all next time bye

Man Utd urged to make swoop for Alexis Sanchez because of Robin van Persie - Duration: 2:17.

Man Utd urged to make swoop for Alexis Sanchez because of Robin van Persie

The former Republic of Ireland star believes Sanchez has the potential to emulate Robin van Persie's successful switch to Old Trafford.

Sanchez is expected to leave Arsenal either next month or at the end of the season as he will be a free agent in the summer.

Arsene Wenger has maintained that he doesn't expect the Chile international to leave in January, but they may be forced to cash in with the prospect of losing him for nothing.

Manchester City are the heavy favourites to sign him and are expected to return with another bid next month after failing to complete a deal before the start of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been linked but Pep Guardiola's side seem to be leading the charge.

However, Jose Mourinho came out yesterday with an outburst claiming United haven't spent enough to challenge for the title, despite bringing in £300million worth of talent since arriving at Old Trafford.

And Cascarino insists Sanchez would be the ideal signing to kickstart United's league campaign.

"Lingard's success is symbolic of why United will finish second, or even third, and Manchester City will cruise to the title," Cascarino told.

"Look at Sergio Agüero — he would walk into United's team and yet he often finds himself on the bench under Pep Guardiola.

"I think United should try to snatch Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

"They managed it with Robin van Persie, and Mourinho would be able to offer him assured starts, whereas he might face more competition at City.

How To Make Illustrator Vector Buttons | Illustrator Vector Tutorial - Duration: 6:37.

in today's illustrator vector tutorial by Satori graphics we learn how to make

illustrator vector buttons in an easy to follow step-by-step method

what is that people welcome back to satori graphics the home of graphic

design content or right here on YouTube the first thing we need to do is to

select a gradient of fill without a stroke in the color palette and then

take the ellipse tool hold down shift and click and drag to make a perfect

circle if you open the gradient window here you can adjust your gradient to

whatever you feel looks best for your vector button design next in today's

illustrator vector tutorial we need to make another circle but this time with

the white field only

then open up the aligned window and select both circles you can now align

them perfectly like so add a gradient a fill to the white circle and then in the

gradient window change the gradient to a dark gray to a light gray

set a direction to minus 45 degrees for a vector button design then in the color

palette add the same gradient of the stroke the direction of the gradient

stroke needs to be 120 degrees and then we can increase the stroke way like so

you can select both circles in a resize them in place if you all don't shift and

the alt/option key at the same time

just a quick tip for you on today's illustrator vector tutorial in the

illustrator preferences he'll help if you scale your stroke options as well as

choose the same smart guide options as mine here we now need to open up the

layers window located in the drop down menu or you can simply press f7 on your

keyboard select the white circle and copy it with command or ctrl C and then

paste it into place with command or control F now I have two of the same

circles in the same position for your vector button click the eye icon to hide

the colored circle and then lower the white circle select the remaining circle

and turn off the stroke as well as adding a black fill

how down the alt/option can duplicate the circle like so off to the lower ray

bring the original circle to the front and then change the lower right circle

to a white fill

how does shift and click buy circles then go to object blend and blending

options

select specified steps and typing something like 800

now go back up to object blend but this time click make

you will now need to open up the transparency window and change the

blending mode to multiply which will really add to the 3d effect on today's

Illustrator vector button design also lower the opacity somewhat to the shape

make the other layers visible in the layers window and then drag the shadow

below the white circle like so as you can see the better button is taking

shape in today's vector tutorial by pressing a on your keyboard you access a

direct selection tool and then you can adjust and manipulate the shadow shape

there are just a few finishing touches to make in today's iterator vector

tutorial

I actually made a very slight error so please open up the gradient window and

then select the white circle we need to change the direction of the gradient on

the fill and the stroke the fill was set to minus 45 but it needs to be 120 and

the stroke was 120 but it needs to be minus 45 now the lighting matches the

shadow shape lastly I will show you how to add topography or a logo on top of

the vector button in a stylish way place the logo or the text on top of the

vector button and then in the transparency window change the blend

mode to overlay copy the layer with command or ctrl C and then paste it in

place with command or ctrl F you can then duplicate it over to the other

button

Nutella Ice Cream - Homemade Nutella Ice Cream - How To Make Ice Cream at Home - Duration: 5:59.

Hello and welcome to wanna be a chef

today we will make nutella icecream

nutella chocolate chip icecream

let us see what all ingredients we need for that

I have taken 500 ml full cream milk

some chocolate chips

around 1/4 cup

2 tbsp coco powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/2 cup nutella or any hazelnut spread

you can take

3 tbsp milk powder

2 tbsp cornflour

1 1/2 tbsp of GMS

1/4 tsp of salt and

3/4 tsp CMC

so let us make our nutella chocolate chip icecream

first we are going to take a sauce pan

or mug

and transfer the 500 ml full cream

milk, which we took

our milk is has warmed a little now to this

we will add milk powder

put all of the milk powder and

using a whisk mix well

so that the milk powder mixes well with the milk

and there are no lumps

now we will add GMS

and mix well

now add CMC

add CMC and GMS and mix well

now add the coco powder

now add cornflour

and keep mixing

we will cook this till the mixture starts thickening up

keep stirring so that

it doesn't stick to the bottom

our mixture has thickened well

switch off the gas

and let the mixture cool down

and come down to room temperature

and in between stir the mixture

so that we don't get the skin on top

our icecream base is now ready

now we will add 1 tsp vanilla essence

and little salt

now mix everything well

now transfer this mixture

in an air tight container

and freeze for 6 to 8 hours

then we will whip this

our ice cream base has set well

it was in the freezer for 6 to 8 hours

you can see that it has set well

we will transfer this to a bigger bowl

and whip it I have taken

a big bowl here and

we will transfer this ice cream to it

and along with this we will add

nutella and if you add hazelnuts

then add hazelnuts as well

you can add hazelnuts essence as well

if you don't have you can simply omit it

now to this add the nutella

I have not added sugar because

nutella has lot of sugar

and will be very sweet but if you want your

ice cream to be more sweeter then

while preparing the base you can add 3/4 cups

of sugar

I have put 1/2 cup nutella

now we will whip this

I am using hand blender

if you have hand blender

then please use it

hand whisk will take too long to whip it

let us whip this

it will take around 8 to 10 minutes

when it whips well it will double

it's quantity or volume

our ice cream base is now ready

it has doubled in quantity or volume

it is smooth in texture like softy ice cream

I whipped this for about 10 minutes

and out ice cream looks so good

now we will transfer this to the air tight container

we need 2 boxes

as the volume has doubled

now we will transfer this in these 2 containers

I have some hazelnuts

if you do not have omit this step

DIY How to make wand for the fairy, kanzashi (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #437 - Duration: 3:49.

Hi. Today I will show you how to make wand out of ribbon.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Wrap a ribbon (6mm in width) around a wooden skewer.

Warm it up a little.

Take it off the wooden skewer.

Do a second spring in the same way.

Glue a ribbon to the wooden skewer and wrap it.

Now, cut the strips out of ribbon. 2.5cm x 5cm.

We need about 24 strips.

Fold a strip in a half.

Cut off a corner, burn an edge...

...and press it.

Fold the sides to the middle.

Burn an edge and press it.

Now, cut the strips out of ribbon (second color). 2.5cm x 3.5cm.

We need about 12 strips.

Make the petals in the same way as previously.

Cut 2 circles out of cardboard. About 4 cm in diameter.

First glue 6 long petals.

Glue another 6 petals between them.

Now glue 6 short petals.

Glue a rhinestone on the center.

Do the same with second circle.

Take first circle. Glue the springs...

...and the wooden skewer.

Glue the second circle.

And it's done.

This wand will be perfect for every little princess.

Of course you should use the proper colors of ribbons to match it to the rest of costume.

You can also check out a princess hat which I made a year ago.
