Best Vlogging Camera - Canon G7X II vs. Sony RX100 V - Duration: 14:14.

the best camera for vlogging and for YouTube let's compare the Sony RX100

mark 5 to that canon G7X II - first things first how do they look compared

side-by-side alright so let's compare these cameras

side-by-side I've built myself a rig on the cheap this is the Canon G7X II this

is the Sony RX100 mark 5 so how do these cameras behave in

rather difficult lighting conditions the Sony RX100 Mark 5 seems to hold the

autofocus pretty well as well as the Canon as I mentioned I mean it's

pretty similar let's see what happens when we cover the lens and how fast it

comes back and they're pretty similar actually and as far as the picture goes

I think the sony seems to have a little more dynamic range what happens when I'm

coming really close let's see how the autofocus reacts to that that's

typically what you would do when you're vlogging and you're somewhere showing

around follow me around and you'd be moving and looking into the camera and

but the purpose of this test is so you can see yourself which one you like

better and how the picture looks and this is very difficult light condition

the G7X II is a really good choice because you've got everything you need

for vlogging and in auto mode it does a really good job when it comes

to the picture quality at the same time we did an audio test as well I've been

switching back and forth with the audio so you can decide yourself which one

sounds better whe you've got the camera in your hand that's also

something to consider when choosing a camera for vlogging so you'd

probably not come this close when vlogging but still we're testing

the sound here and one more time a little more further away that's how I would sound

if the camera was in my hand okay that much for moving around what if the

cameras were sitting on the table on little tripods and I was moving back

and forth let's see how well the autofocus is following me and before I

hit record the the RX100 had a really hard time focusing on my face so I don't

know why that is let's cover the lenses again and then let's see how fast they

come back and what if the face detection seems to work so what if I'm here and I

was presenting an object like this camera the Sony is there already and the

Canon seems to have a problem with closer objects see that maybe it has

been detecting my face in the background and boom back to the face and let's try

that again and now the Canon has found I'll see that it's going back and forth

so the S ony is the winner here it seems to find the focus point really well

whereas the Canon really has a hard time finding the right there seems to be

a problem with closer focusing closer objects like this distance here and the

Sony where I was actually trying to complain started complaining about the

the RX100 works really well with closer objects but other than that they are

pretty similar okay so the look at the camera

is actually a matter of personal taste but although they look very similar and

share a lot of similarities there are a couple of things significantly different

from the technical side so the Sony camera does 4K internally although it's

limited to I think five minutes and when you're looking at a compact camera like

this it's probably not it doesn't have the biggest priority because I

personally don't shoot in 4K with these compact cameras with bigger projects

bigger cameras you certainly need it as an option for post-production when you

want to crop in or something plus the Sony camera does have overheating issues

with anything else than Full HD in 30p technically this goes to the Sony

camera because it does 4K it's capable capable of doing 4K if you want that as

far as the stabilization goes they are pretty similar I have to admit I'm

impressed with the optical stabilization with the Canon the Canon casts a

little more reddish images when shooting video that's typical for Canon I don't

really like that I have to admit I would go for the Sony because

the color in auto mode looks a little more neutral plus on top of that

it does have the S-Log2 color profile which is great if you want to

match it to the bigger Sony cameras I had used this in a fitness video project

this was actually my second camera the client didn't know but they liked

they loved the videos and it was all good in general the Sony looks a little

more neutral plus on top of that it does have the S-Log2 which I which looks

absolutely gorgeous you can have great images almost looking like a Sony A7S II

that's pretty impressive for such a small camera

well slow motion and Canon it doesn't really go together

it does 60p whereas the Sony does 120 frames continuously and even the 240

frames in 4 second bursts you even have 'end trigger' which I loved

with the Sony FS700 camera which means you're shooting for four seconds

and if you're happy with the shot you can push the button and then it will

save these four seconds in 240 frames a second the buffer will be saved so

you don't have to shoot and fill up your SD card that's a really handy function

which I really love so but other than that 100p continuously that's also very

impressive for a compact camera I've used that for instance in this

particular shot this kind of lookbook video for

Instagram models and 100 frames were just looking great in combination with

the S-Log2 color profile it looks like I had a FS7 or something

I actually just shot it handheld with this little little thing here the good

thing is nobody's gonna bother asking you what you're doing you could be

looking like a boyfriend or a friend shooting snapping pictures

from the model although technically they have the same capacity the batteries the

battery consumption in the RX100 is ridiculous I mean anything else then

Full HD 30p it's gonna drain batteries within like I would say minutes you

can't really work with it so if you're planning to you like using throughout

the whole day you're at an expo or spending like traveling somewhere and

you want to shoot the whole day unless you want to carry around four or five

six batteries I'm not exaggerating that many batteries with you you should go

for the Canon because it doesn't eat up that much battery as the Sony camera so

that's a big minus for the sony camera if you want to shoot more cinematography

shots like I did and with this example here then it doesn't matter as much

because you're you're creating you're shooting short sequences but since we're

talking about vlogging cameras vlog cameras this one goes to the Canon

camera definitely so the autofocus I say I'm

slightly leaning towards the Sony camera but sometimes it loses the focus and

then it's having a hard time finding it back again I'd say they're equal

although technically the face detection should be better in the Sony maybe I'm

just getting the settings wrong if you have a if you know what setting that's

rock-solid just let me know in the comments but as far as the autofocus

goes I'd say these cameras are pretty equal

so both cameras have built-in Wi-Fi, NFC ,ND filters which is 'sunglasses for your

sensor' if you don't know what that is built-in flashes but the Sony camera

does have a built-in viewfinder which could be handy when you're outside in

bright sunlight and you can't really see the screen I don't know what I use what

I sometimes do is using the viewfinder to stabilize the camera

when it's like sitting in front of your eye, the other side, it stabilizes the camera

a little more if you use used to that I mean it's kind of awkward using a small

camera like this with a viewfinder but when you're outside that might be

something that you that you would need so the Sony camera does have a

viewfinder whereas the Canon camera doesn't with these compact cameras it's

not really a deal-breaker and not to have a viewfinder in my opinion of

course for vlogging it makes sense to see yourself on the screen although you

shouldn't be looking at the screen but rather into the lens you're gonna be

looking above the audience okay look into the lens but still you want to

see what's going on so that's a pretty handy thing the difference is the Canon

camera does have a touchscreen and that's very important if you want to

focus on something you just tap that area and the camera will focus on that

point whereas the Sony doesn't have that I think that's a pretty big deal for a

vlogging camera so this goes to the Canon camera the touch screen asks for

additional functions both can do time-lapse but the Sony camera you have

to buy an app from the app store so it can shoot time-lapse whereas the Canon

does have time-lapse built in already when you buy it

you have to spend extra money although that this camera is pretty

expensive and you have to get a an app and on top of that that's how it is

I got the time-lapse for my Sony camera and it works really well so if you're

planning on doing time-lapse the canon camera is the right thing the right

choice for you out of the box well we're talking about videos about vlogging but

one thing to mention the sony camera does 24 frames per second

bursts whereas the Canon does 8 frames per second bursts if you're into

photography that might be something that you would want to consider but for

vlogging it doesn't really matter this goes to the Sony camera but it's not

really a big point so what is my conclusion with these cameras I would

say when you want to when the main focus is vlogging and nothing else I would go

for the Canon camera since this is also significantly cheaper than the Sony

camera currently retails for 680$ dollars on Amazon

whereas the Sony camera retails for 950$ dollars like 270$

difference there's a reason why many youtubers and bigger

youtubers choose have chosen the canon G7X II for vlogging but if you want to

have these these extra options that the Sony camera is giving you and if you're

planning to do a lot of post-production if you want to have the picture profile

if you want to have these nice looking imagery, the slow motion, the 240 frames

per second don't get confused they're marketing it with

1000 frames per second which is actually at a much lower resolution

we're talking about Full HD so this camera does Full HD 240 frames

a second in 4 second bursts so that's a very nice feature so if you want to

have all these filmmaker / cinematography options then the Sony camera is

certainly something that you should consider but it's significantly bigger

but you're getting pretty much the performance like within limits the

performance of a sony A7S II camera at the palm of your hand it's really

impressive but the battery life and the overheating issue are two big flaws

in a otherwise very impressive camera so what are your thoughts about

these cameras have you experienced do you have any experience with either one

if you ask me this is my camera the Sony RX100 Mark 5 because I'm a professional

videographer I want to have these options the picture profile the slow-motion and

everything and I do use that so that's why I bought this I borrowed this one

from a friend to make this video and if you're planning on doing only vlogging

and you want to have a great camera out of the box

well rounded great vlogging camera this is the right choice for you if you're

planning on buying either one of these cameras please consider checking out my

LIMA, PERU | Best FOODIE City in Latin America (w/ Luke Korns & Valeria Basurco) - Duration: 11:03.

We're in Lima, Peru, and this is a cow heart.

Good morning Vagabuddies. Welcome back to Lima, Peru.

We are in the Parque de Amantes, as you can see by this.

I think it is Parque de Amor.

Well, it's love or lovers.

Either way, it's a cool place, great view,

and we have an awesome day lined up.

Lima, as we said, is one of the best food cities in the world.

It's combining a bunch of different influences from indigenous Andean recipes, European, and even Asian.

We're going to go around exploring the city,

and we're starting off with a spot right down here

to get one of the most typical dishes of Peru, ceviche.

This is crazy. It feels like home

in an interesting way... like

the road down there feels like the PCH.

These cliffs kind of feel like Santa Monica or Torrey Pines where we're from,

where there's a glider port.

I mean, check this out.

You've got para-gliders flying right in front of us ten feet away.

First stop of the day is at Punto Azul,

a classic ceviche spot here in Miraflores.

There is a bit of a debate about where ceviche comes from, but most historians agree that

ceviche as we know it today

originated here in Peru in colonial times.

The predecessor of the dish was brought over from Spain by Moorish woman in the south of Spain,

but basically it's just raw fish mixed with lime, lemon, onions, chili pepper and that kind of citric juice

actually cooks the fish without flame. Yeah, so it's served cold.

There's a bunch of different takes on ceviche.

We've quickly found that the biggest challenge in making this video is that

there're simply too many good restaurants to feature here in Lima.

A lot of them also are

really, really, really good restaurants like Central,

which you might have seen in season three of Netflix.

It's one of the best restaurants in the world.

It's definitely the best in Latin America.

A lot of those restaurants need reservations,

and they can be really expensive.

So what we're going to try to do in this video is show you places that are easily accessible-

some that are more expensive than others, some of that are cheap and from just sandwich spots.

We're going to try to show you guys a balance of quality and price and have a great time exploring Lima.

This places is a very famous ceviche spot.

We've ordered the classico.

It's kind of like a mix of a bunch of different types of ceviche,

and we've been joined by our buddy who's a local now in Lima.

Welcome to Lima. Hope you guys like it.

We knew each other through the internet,

and we just met last week or two weeks ago at Buffer Fest

where Luke premiered a film that he filmed here in Lima,

and we realized that we're going to be in town

at the same time, so we've been connecting.

Luke's been down here... for what thirteen months?

Thirteen months. I've been counting every month as it goes by.

How's your Spanish coming along?

So now we got some Chicha?

It's like a corn drink from purple corn mixed with like some purple drink.

Okay, so we have ceviche in the belly, and now we're going to head down the street

ten minute walk to a sandwich place called

El Chinito.

Next location on our Lima foodie tour is Sanguchria El Chinito.

Supposedly fifty years ago, a Chinese

family moved here and wanted to make affordable good sandwiches,

and so we're just posted up outside.

We're going to grab a sandwich to go.

Like we said, about 3% of the population of fruit is from..is Asian, mostly Japanese.

But there were some Chinese indentured servants who came here in the 1800s,

and their mark is left on the cuisine.

So in this case we're having a sandwich,

but Japanese food.. there's this whole thing called Nikkei cuisine,

which is a mixture of Japanese and Peruvian food.

Hopefully go somewhere, try some of that, but too many restaurants, not enough time.

Moment of truth. Hit it.

This would be the perfect hangover food.

I feel like to make Pisco Sours, have one of these. Good to go.

Conclusion: at 14 souls are about four dollars and some change.

It's a pretty good way to get some pretty dank food here in Lima.

So moving onwards.

Quick stop, coffee break in San Ysidro.. a place called Puku Puku.

It's a Quechua word, which means bird that eats the sunrise,

and I think they have Amazonian coffees.

So let's go have one.

Now we have moved to Grimanesa Vargas Anticuchos,

and they specialize in one thing:

cow heart.

To be completely honest, when Luke told us about this place,

I didn't know what to think.

I'm not a huge fan, but we're going to try it.

It smells good, seems to be popular, and this is my first time trying Inca Cola.

Tastes like bubblegum.

It's like yeah. It's literally bubblegum.

I agree, but I love it.

It's what makes us unique guys.

We've been now at an eating marathon.

The key is just eating a little bit at each place,

but go all day long.

All right so... we have the green sauce,

and we have the pink sauce.

I think this is the ahi, right?

It's supposed to be ahi, and this is something else.

Surprisingly tender.

Now it's dinner time, and we're at a restaurant called Matria back in Miraflores.

We're going to have a quick chat with the chef, Arlete,

and she's going to tell us a bit more about the philosophy behind the restaurant.

All right first little platito, we have scallops, and they have been marinated in five different types of limes.

It looks delicious.

I don't know much more than that, but I'm going to eat it.

So second round we're doing a Japanese -Peruvian dish.

It's called Nikkei style cooking.

This is tuna with avocado on top and then right here

we've got some sweetbreads and chimichurri sauce with a puree of white vegetables.

We made it to the last stop of our whirlwind gluttonous day,

and here we are at Ayahuasca, which is a pretty cool bar.

And I think Luke you were saying that it used to be a mansion?

I did a lot of events for the Dutch Football Association in 2016.

Like matches of the national Futsal team.

Before the match I had the chance to play against people who were attending the match.

I'm telling you. For the viewers at home.

It was a Panna day!

For real. Only Panna, Panna and some more Panna!

The ball in the shirt Panna, was something special that day.

I don't know, I'm a person who plays on intuition.

It's like when I do something crazy.

Let me try out some more stuff.

And then stuff like this happen.

You get Basketball/Freestyle/Street soccer.

Easy Man!

Yeah, I've got a lot of reactions about this one.

Everybody was asking me if I could do it again.

But this ain't stuff you can just do again.

But basically it was just repetition for the halftime entertainment.

But when it's showtime, the adrenalin starts pumping.

Because then I really have to shine, then it's really Easy Man showtime for real!

Then I watch the audience.

And it's like a full Football stadium.

But it's just somewhere in Almere or something. I don't know where.

I think I've been to every indoor court in the Netherlands.

But I really like the half-time entertainment.

But personally I like it when I play in Rotterdam.

Because there, the pressure is really high. Everybody knows me and Rotterdam is my hometown.

But even there, I didn't lose a single match.

Easy Man!

Panna All Day!!!

It's just Panna all day man.

All day long!

It's like 50 Panna's in a half an hour.

It's a like therapy for me.

When I really feel like playing Panna.

And then it's no mercy for anybody.

Who comes, will get a Panna.

But nothing but love for my opponents who tried against me.

Because I always say...

The ball is round.

And anybody can get a Panna. But that day...

Those Panna's were on fire!

That year I visited Paris again.

My homie Séan Garnier invited me.

Shout Out to him!

He told me, yo come visit me in Paris.

There is a Football week over here and we want you to join us.

Just hang out with the crew.

I also got the chance to play some Panna.

Because that's what he invited me for.

There was one guy...

He scored a goal and thought, yes I am gonna beat him.

Everybody was cheering...

and then... Panna!

I was surfing over there.

Panna here, Panna over there! From the back, from the front, right!

One fell when he got a Panna.

I don't know if you got that one.

In the air! Big, tall, young, old. Who ever wanted to try...

Got the Panna!

I also played a match against Melody. Shout Out to her!

She's a very good Freestyler.

But she told me...

I'm training groundmoves.

And I want to try against you.

And then you'll have to tell me what you think about my groundmoves.

And I told her I would like to see them off course.

She was really upgraded. She was playing very well.

She did some very nice moves. She even scored a goal.

But at a certain point...

I thought hey...

I have to put myself on the map here.

It's Easy Man in Paris!

So I also had to show her some moves of mine.

You know how we do it. Nothing but Love & Respect!

And I gave Panna after Panna!

It was so crazy man!

And the vibe was just...

It was just Panna Football, showtime...

Everything was complete. There was a very good vibe over there.

Shout Out to Paris man!

Séan Garnier asked me if I wanted play with him against the crowd.

I grabbed that chance with both hands.

I was killing it!

Panna after Panna, I even gave more Panna's then him

Even he told me: Hey Easy Man, you're on fire bro!

I said: Yeah man!

This is what I do, I take the Panna souls...

And I sleep with them! You know it!

Easy man!

In 2016 I also launched a new format.

It's called Easy Man street Challenge.

This format was really something else.

Really not my style, because I'm not really a vlogger.

But I did like it. Approaching people.

Ask them if they want to play against me.

Some people recognized me and said, no no, I'm not gonna play against you, I'l be on YouTube!

But some people said, sure lets try it.

Let me se what you got. so..

I had 6 hours...

On 5 different locations in The Netherlands.

On each location I had a half an hour...

To give as many Panna's as possible.

That was my mission for the day.

And I really completed it!

So many Panna's...

It didn't even fit on the video!

There were just too many, really a lot!

Panna's in Tilburg, from Helmond to Vlaardingen. Unbelievable!

Oh and on that day. Edgar Davids didn't dare to play against me.

Easy Man was traveling again.

In Belgium!

We follow the Panna, and the Panna was in Ostend that day!

On the beach!

Together with Martijn Debbaut, I could give a lot of Panna's!

But what I can remember of that day...

Is this one Panna...

And that was just no, no, no limit Panna!

Crazy Panna!

I'm speechless!

I went to pick up Séan Garnier from the airport.

He told me...

There is Panna tournament again in Elbeuf and there is a price to win.

There's a price for the 1vs1.

There's also a nice price for the 2vs2.

I asked him: Aren't we gonna be too late for the tournament?

He said no problem!

When I come... The tournament starts.

That cracked me up.

I thought yeah man. This man is really a legend!

No problems, like you. Easy Man!

Keep on smiling, all will be fine!

I think I won the first match on goals.

Second match I gave a Panna.

The third match I also gave an awesome Panna to one of my buddies.

Ilyas Touba.

You know it. He's my homie for real.

You know, but that day I had to give him a Panna.

I didn't know what got into me, it just happens.

And he got a very crazy Panna man!

Everybody went crazy over there.

Everybody wanted me to win the tournament, because I was playing very well,

But eventually I had to play the final against Kristoffer Liicht.

And I was like 3 goals ahead.

And I thought it was already a done deal. I already won.

It's just Easy Man Showtime!

I was showing moves for the audience, I really tried my best.

But out of the sudden it became a draw.

And I thought, oh shit! This is crazy man!

And then it happend, he scored the golden goal!

And he took the price right under my nose.

He was really happy and I knew he never won a tournament before.

And especially against me.

He also looks up to me.

It was just a crazy final.

But still a fun experience. i wasn't mad...

Or disappointed or something.

I just thought, I screwed it up myself you know.

And I even liked it and it was really awesome man.

Easy Man!

After there was the 2vs2 tournament.

Like you already know. Séan Garnier and me.

The first time when I played with him in Paris

We are just fire and fire together man!

He is really good!

I am also really good!

The both of us when we have the ball, either of us can decide a match.

And eventually we made it to the final.

We were up against Ilyas Touba and Hakim.

That match was just fire against fire man!

Yeah, he gave me the assist...

And I scored immediately.

He saw me coming loose from my opponent and ask for the ball...

I just had to touch the ball once...

Golazo!

That's how we won.

And then he...

What was really funny, was when he was telling in his camera...

Yeah Easy Man came loose and asked for the ball...

I saw his move... I pass...

And it's Golazo you know!

That was really dope man!

And then he starts imitating me in his camera.

You know, stuff like that. He was cracking me up.

Futsal Fissa was also a very fun project of the Dutch Football Association.

We had to visit 40 schools.

And we did a show at every school.

We were giving a lot of Panna's. We just turned the schools into parties.

It was really amazing for those kids.

Easy Man!

It was so dope! Seriously!

I really gave some ridiculous Panna's at every school!

What really stayed with me, is when I gave someone a Panna...

I don't remember what school it was. I think it was the last one or the one before that.

I gave a Panna... And the boy ran out of the school!

Left the building! Disappeared!

That Panna was so crazy...

Even Nasse couldn't believe his eyes.

He was like, Easy Man what are you doing?

You really love the Panna! You really do!

I told him, yeah!

I did a crazy Dab Panna.. And he was gone!

5 Legends video went viral!

The S3 crew had an 10th year anniversary. Séan Garnier's crew.

And he invited me to celebrate with them.

He organized a showcase match.

With 5 legends against a professional Futsal team from France.

And that was so dope! Seriously!

Everybody was giving his all and just showed what they got.

Crazy moves from Bencok!

Crazy Akka Panna! Very sick!

Some crazy goals from Issy Hitman! Also very sick!

Leamssi also showed his moves!

Séan Garnier also represented himself with a few amazing moves!

I couldn't stay behind man.

I gave a Panna off course! Easy Man Panna!

I also made 2 very beautiful goals.

One no look goal, behind the other leg. You really have to check that one out!

And not be forgotten, Lisa also gave a Panna!

Yeah the pressure was real high there.

Everybody was thinking when comes the Panna?

And then she gave the Easy Man Panna!
