It's a little bit like regular construction although I like to

say it's like building the house that only has to last two weeks.

Instead of using two by fours, you use one by fours a lot of places and it's

just a little bit different. My wife is Brenda Amburgy who's the director for

this show and she convinced me 17 years ago to help her build sets and so I

got started there. I'm really a veterinarian in real life and I'm

retired and so now I need something to do so I'm doing this. We have a

professional designer that designed the set named Jeff Cook and he's works

in Seattle [and] Portland and designs a lot of stuff for the children's theater

up in Seattle. And he's been helping us build sets for a number of years when I

helped at Timberline High School -- I did sets there for about 17 years. So he

provides you with blueprints which are the same things you get from an architect

and then it's my job to take the blueprints and make them into reality,

with the idea of trying to do it the cheapest possible but also

make it look as good as possible and number one so that the set's safe and it

doesn't fall down on people. So it's fun doing this kind of stuff. You know,

it's just a lot of fun.
