Hello, Friends!
I'm Nikki Karis.
For today, I'd like to share an inspirational message I've written about self-reliance
to help uplift and empower you to overcome the negative effects of bullying.
Here's my message for today: "It's better to be who you are than someone who others
want, need, or expect you to be."
You know, Friends, I think this is such an important message, and it's actually the
theme of my inspirational company – Finding Zeni.
The theme of the company is "Discover Your Authentic Self".
What I want to encourage all of you to do, my Friends, is to be who you are.
What happens is if you're being bullied by others, people don't want you to be who
you are.
They want you to be someone who you are not.
They want you to be someone they want, need, or expect you to be.
Well, you know what Friends?
I tried that for many, many years.
I tried to mold myself into the wants, needs, or expectations of others.
And what I eventually found out, was that I was a really unhappy person as a result,
because I was living a lie.
I wasn't being the person I was meant to be.
That's what I want to encourage all of you to do, my Friends.
Be who you are.
Be happy.
Be your authentic self.
