What You Know about Satan Might Be Mostly Myth - Duration: 3:25.

The classic image most have of Satan is flat out wrong.

Keep watching to discover where Satan spends his time and what he spends it doing.

Make me a profile of Satan.

What does he look like?

What does he do?

From where does he do it?

The classic image—the one you likely envision—is a red guy with horns and a pitchfork,

orchestrating all of the evil in the world from his command center in hell.

I'm not sure where it came from, but this pervasive image of Satan is nothing more than

myth.

The devil is not red with horns and pitchfork.

And while he does orchestrate evil, he doesn't do it

from hell.

Surprising to most people, the Bible doesn't say that Satan's home is in hell or that

he's ever been there at all.

Quite the opposite, actually.

Jesus revealed that hell is the place prepared to

destroy Satan, not his home.

The Bible also claims the devil will not see hell until after his final

rebellion at the end of time when he's thrown into the lake of fire.

This obviously begs the question: If the devil isn't in hell, where is he, and what is

he doing?

Well, according to scripture, he's in one of two places doing one of two things: on

earth or in heaven, opposing or accusing.

It's true: Peter revealed that as an adversary, Satan prowls like a lion, seeking someone

to devour.

And John divulged that the devil continues to go between heaven and earth to bring

accusations about you and me before the Lord.

So why does all of this matter?

Well, as I detail in my book, Silence Satan, it matters so that you're aware of the source

of your struggles and how to handle them.

Rather than blame these things on the weather or a chemical in your

brain, many of the temptations and obstacles you face are the result of a devil trying

to get you to slip up, trip up, so that he can report to

God about how you messed up.

But here's great news: if you're a Christian, when the devil attempts to report your mistakes

to God, it falls on deaf ears.

An incredible Word of Victory that John proclaimed just after he

revealed Satan's whereabouts is that "they [Christians] overcame him [the accuser] by

the blood of the Lamb."

Yes, because you're covered by the pure, spotless DNA of Jesus, God sends Satan

away, giving no ear to his accusations.

But too often, when the devil returns to earth, we become

his audience.

Many of the mind games and much of the guilt and shame you experience are the

result of giving ear to things that God doesn't.

So next time you hear that voice that nags "Look what you've done" or "You're

too much of this" or "You're not enough of that"

silence it with the truth: "Shut up, devil!

You are defeated by the blood of Jesus!"

Little wins for Business: What little wins mean to Simon Hammond - Duration: 1:08.

- Little wins are almost the hardest

to remember, aren't they?

What happened in any given day that changed something?

To me, the little wins have been a moment with a person

where that person all of a sudden had a click,

had a sort of a realisation of just how simple

a great business positioning is,

or more importantly, how simple running a business can be.

It might be a lunch, it might be a coffee.

It's the little, to me, the little wins have been

in a coffee moment where someone looks you

straight in the eye and says, "I got it, I get it."

It's just that engagement, that's what builds trust,

and that's what builds a relationship that then is ongoing.

Because when you have a relationship, what you have

is almost like you have a forgiveness,

and people will forgive you.

People will forgive you if they like you and trust you.

That's the secret, whether it's retail business

or a service business, the secret is a little moment

of relationship building.

What will Trump's presidency look like? on BBC Sunday Politics Show - Duration: 16:43.

Donald Trump's inauguration day close

within dancing to Franklin actors my way

and whatever you think of the 43rd

president and there are many views of

them he certainly did do it his way

not for him idealistic calls for

national unity instead he used friday

the inaugural address to launch a

blistering attack on the Washington

establishment and on the dark state of

the nation and its political class had

to promise to take his uncompromising

approach from the campaign trail right

into the White House is Adam plumbing

with a reminder of an extraordinary few

days

alright dropping by for a cup of tea and

a slightly awkward exchange of gifts

with the obamas than friends foods and

predecessors watched the Donald become

the president donald john Trump do

solemnly swear that i will take the

crowd seemed smaller than previous

inauguration speech tougher than any

previous incoming president from this

day forward it's going to be only

America first America first other

traditions stayed the same the parade

the damn thing to meaningful music in

the meantime there were erratic protests

in washington DC opponent made their

voices heard around the world to the

president who criticized the work of the

intelligence agencies it in a visit to

the CIA

there is nobody that feels stronger

about the intelligence community and the

CIA and then Donald Trump there's no

back and back at the office in the dark

the signature signal the end of the

Obama era and the dawn of trauma so the

speech gave is the few hidden support

expect from a trump presidency and more

details have been appearing during his

first few days in office in a pugnacious

and partisan speech he talked of an

America in carnage to be rebuild with

American hands and american labor urging

a policy of by American and hire

American president from has already

started to dismantle key parts of the

Obama legacy including the unwinding of

the Affordable Care Act and the

sidelining of the climate action plan to

tackle global warming has little to say

about foreign policy but pledged to

eradicate Islamic terrorism from the

face of the ass insisting he would

restore the US military to one question

dominance

he also said the US would develop a

state-of-the-art missile defense system

to deal with nuclear threat species from

Iran and North Korea in a speech that

think is a bleak picture of the country

he will now run he said his would be a

law-and-order administration and he

would keep the innocent safe by building

the border war with Mexico as he had

promised one thing he didn't mention but

is of a special interest of this side of

the Atlantic for the first time ever

there's a Euroskeptic in the Oval Office

who is also an enthusiastic for

breakfast it

and we're joined now by technologies

Trump supporters been tipped to the

president's choice for ambassador to the

EU just flown back overnight from

Washington by James Reuben a Democrat

yourself in the Clinton administration

welcome to both of you

let's start with that last point that i

made it there in the voice-over we now

have a Euroskeptic in the awful office

he's very Pro brexit he's not keen on

further European Union integration with

of the implications of that

well I think the implications are first

of all a renewal of the us-uk special

relationship so you see the Prime

Minister going already on a very fast

trip to build and rebuild this

relationship already the bust of Winston

Churchill is back in the Oval Office it

didn't even take her arrival to make

that happen

interesting than Martin Luther King's

bus is also there so there's an active

unit even his first moving to bust into

that office but i think that the

significance is that Donald Trump will

be oriented towards bilateral

relationships and not multilateral or

supernatural 50 years has been the

policy of the state department to

encourage European integration the white

cause now has a man who doesn't believe

in it

what are the implications of that well I

think we are present at the application

the unraveling of America's leadership

of the West there was a thing called the

West that America has led since the end

of world war two creating I think we

just heard supernatural I think you

meant supernational although for some

people

supernatural is probably what it is we

created these institutions we believe

that they were valuable i think with

American leadership the world was at

peace in Europe and the world grew

increasingly democratic and increasingly

prosperous these things worked wars were

averted which could be extremely costly

but when something works in diplomacy

you don't really understand what the

consequences could have been and I think

we've gotten complacent and I think the

new president is taking advantage of

that I think it's a terrible tragedy

that so many in the West take for

granted the

successful leadership and institutions

that we've built you could argue and

digital written as are using some

articles that mr. Obama began this

process of America withdrawing somewhat

from leadership of the the West will mr.

Trump America be more involved in the

world will it provide that leadership or

will it continue the process of with the

running shoes on that began with mr.

Obama no I think that it's created the

president obama step back from American

leadership he withdrew from the world he

had a horrendous eight years in office

and American powers in diminished

everywhere not just in Europe but

everywhere in the world so that power

bill restarted in a sense Trump takes

power the focus will be on America first

the market has strong interests around

the world is it reassess itself for the

rest of the world

well i think that the institutions will

be recreated some of them may be taken

down and maybe some new ones i think

NATO itself a absolutely the defense

secretary will have discussions with

Donald Trump about how NATO can be

reformed and reshaped and maybe they'll

be more burden-sharing that's an

important thing for mr. from you you are

tipped to be the US ambassador to

Brussels to the EU and we're still

waiting to hear that are going to happen

i understand it is but is it true to say

that mr. Trump does not believe in EU

integration I think he made that clear

Michael go speeches not in favor of

super national although we mentioned god

three times in his inaugural address he

did he does not believe in those kinds

of organizations so he's investing

himself in bilateral relationships the

first and foremost of which will be

united kingdom so here we have a

president that doesn't believe in EU

integration and has been highly critical

of NATO do the people he's a pointing to

defense secretary of state national

security

do you think that will temper this

antenatal retro will he come round

to a more pro native situation well I

think we're going to end up those of us

who care about America's leadership in

the world missing of President Obama a

lot and that's because rhetoric matters

when you're the leader of the West yes I

think you're right the Secretary of

State and the Secretary of Defense will

limit the damage they will probably

urged him not to take formal steps to

unravel this most powerful and most

successful alliance in in history the

NATO alliance but the damage is already

being done when you're the leader of the

West when your leader leadership means

that your persuading you are encouraging

you are bolstering your leadership and

these institutions by the way you speak

and millions and millions if not tens or

hundreds of millions of people have now

heard the United States say what we care

about is within our borders and the rest

of you can fend for yourself what you

think that well it's such an

overstatement from a kalonian the the

point is that Donald Trump is in the

Jacksonian tradition of national

populism so he's appealing to the

american population he's putting the

people first

if anything the other day and I was

sitting right below the diocese during

our glorious he basically said everyone

sitting behind me is part of the problem

everyone sitting in front of me

the crowd and the crowd on television as

part of the solution so we're giving the

government back to the people and that

emphasis is really going to change

American life including american

international relations it doesn't mean

we're moving out of NATO it doesn't mean

that we're giving up any of the seats of

power we have all the trees will be torn

up

it simply means we're going to put our

interests our national interests first

Andy their echoes in his inauguration

address all of and rejections

inauguration address in 1820 know that

night the Jacksonian went on and had a

party and trash the White House that mr.

trans people didn't do that so there is

a difference there

he also said something else in the

inauguration address that protectionism

would lead to prosperity i would suggest

there is no evidence of that from the

post-war world that that is not true

well he didn't mention protectionism he

did talk about protecting the American

worker protecting the American Jobs

protecting the American economy i

actually think that Donald Trump will

not turn out to be a kind of smooth

Holly protectionists if you read the art

of the deal which is very daring to the

two Republican senators who introduced

method terrace in the Hoover administer

correct so I'm not looking forward to

that I don't think you'll see that but I

said to number 10 this last week if you

read the art of the deal your

understanding Donald Trump actually a

transactional basis deals with people

and we'll deal with countries so there's

a lot of bluster there's a lot of

positioning and I think you see this

already in his jawboning of jobs back to

the United States the Chinese are afraid

because things are going to change

responses that also do with this

proposition China's the biggest loser of

this election result

well let me say this is the first time

in American history an American

president has set for certainly in

modern history is view of the world and

it is a mercantilist accuse you of the

world it is through who makes more money

who gets more trade it doesn't look at

the shared values the leadership that

the defense that the world lead the art

of the deal has no application to

America's leadership of the world that's

what we're learning you can be a great

businessman and make great real estate

deals whether he did or not is debatable

but it has nothing to do with inspiring

shared values of from the West now

you're saying that China may lose

because they deem a pleasure them to

reduce their trade deficit with the

United States their their trade they may

or they may not

we may both lose right now his secretary

of state has said and I think he's gonna

walk this back once he's breathe

he's had said that they're going to

prevent the Chinese from entering these

islands in the South China Sea if they

were to do that it would be a blockade

and there would be a shooting war

between the United States and China so

us-china relations are the most

important a bilateral relationship with

the United States

and they don't lend themselves to the

bluff and bluster that may have worked

when you're trying to get a big building

on Second Avenue in Manhattan is a sign

of the biggest loser i think that the

Chinese have a lot to lose and this is

she was a devout this last week to

compare entrust them with President

Trump inauguration defending his role in

the global economy and China has largely

been a beneficiary of this very free

trade or edge of regime and some of that

is going to be real back is Germany the

second biggest loser in the sense that i

understand that he hasn't even agreed a

time to see angle America yet but also

that those close to them believe that

Germany is guilty of currency

manipulation by adopting a weak euro

instead of the dark strong deutsche mark

and that that is why they running a huge

balance-of-payments a surplus with the

United States american german relations

may not be great

well there is this point of view

throughout Europe you only need to go

and talk to the southern Europeans about

this question it seems like the euro has

been basically aligned to benefit

Germany Joe Stiglitz the famous actually

left-of-center Democrat economist has

made the same case in a recent book so

that point about the euros want to take

seriously on both sides of the aisle and

in this case I think Germany will be put

under the spotlight angle and Markel has

shown herself to be the most respected

and the most successful leader in Europe

we are all we care about the West who

care about the shared values of the West

should pray and hope that she is

reelected

this isn't about dollars and cents we

are living in a time where the Russian

leader has invaded another country in

Europe and for some inexplicable reason

the American president who can use his

insult diplomacy on everyone including

mrs. Merkel the only person he can't

seem to manage to find anything to

criticize about is mr. Putin there are

things more than more important than

that the actual details of your currency

there are things like preventing another

the war in Europe preventing a war

between the Chinese and the United

States you talk about the Trident

missile you were talking about all

morning on nuclear deterrence is

extremely important again it doesn't

lend itself to the bluff and bluster of

of a real estate I understand all that

but the fact we even talking about these

things shows you the new world that

we're moving into not just to get you

both to really react to this

this is a man that ended the bush

dynasty it's a man that beat the Clinton

machine it's a man in his inauguration

that not only did he not reach out to

the Democrats he didn't even mention the

Republicans these are change dates for

who they are changed a's and change can

be good or it can be disastrous

and what I'm worried about is it's easy

in the world of diplomacy and mission in

the leadership of the United States to

break things to break relationships to

ruin alliances these are things that

were carefully nurtured George Shultz

the famous Republican Secretary of this

irregular mr. Reagan talked about

diplomacy as gardening the slow careful

creation of a place with blossoming

bilateral relationships and flowering

multilateral relationships that takes

decades to create god i will apply them

away in a matter of things that are

going to give you the final word i

worked for George Schultz so let me tell

you that your shoulders the Marine who

stood up for America who defend America

who would actually be in favor of many

of the things that Donald Trump and the

Trump Network ever call of your mind out

that always top age that I've spoken to

are appalled by mr. Trump's application

of leader she's going to eradicate

radical islam terrorists from the f is

that our plan to do that I think that

the Defense Department is in fact test

now to come up with that plan and I know

that people in the national security

realm have been working on that plan

they say they will have such a plan in

some detail

we're going 60 to 90 days right we show

let's hope they succeed very well we've

run out of time to the fascinating issue

thank you

What is Maundy Thursday / Holy Thursday? | What Does Maundy Mean? | GotQuestions.org - Duration: 2:18.

Question: "What is Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday?"

In this video, I'll answer that question, and afterwards, I'll point to some helpful

resources, so stick around to the end.

Maundy Thursday, also known as "Holy Thursday," is the Thursday of Passion Week, one day before

Good Friday (the Friday before Easter).

Maundy Thursday is the name given to the day on which Jesus celebrated the Passover with

His disciples, known as the Last Supper.

Two important events are the focus of Maundy Thursday.

First, Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples and thereby instituted the Lord's

Supper, also called Communion.

Some Christian churches observe a special Communion service on Maundy Thursday in memory

of Jesus' Last Supper with His disciples.

Second, Jesus washed the disciples' feet as an act of humility and service, thereby

setting an example that we should love and serve one another in humility.

Some Christian churches observe a foot-washing ceremony on Maundy Thursday to commemorate

Jesus' washing the feet of the disciples.

The word Maundy is derived from the Latin word for "command."

The "Maundy" in "Maundy Thursday" refers to the command Jesus gave to the disciples

at the Last Supper, that they should love and serve one another.

Should we observe Maundy Thursday?

The Bible neither commands nor forbids it.

It is a good thing to remember the Last Supper and Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf.

It is a good thing to remember the Lord's example of humility.

However, at the same time, we should avoid ritualistic observances of holidays unless

they are truly focused on God and our relationship with Him.

Observing a special Lord's Supper service on Maundy Thursday or, Holy Thursday in remembrance

of the Last Supper is a good thing to do.

Doing a foot-washing in remembrance of how Christ humbled Himself and washed the feet

of the disciples is a powerful reminder of how we are to live the Christian life.

Let's just make sure we are observing Maundy Thursday in a way that truly honors what happened

at the Last Supper.

What makes organic food better? | RMIT University - Duration: 2:10.

You would have seen food with an 'organic' label in your local supermarket, but what

exactly does this label mean?

Generally speaking, organic food production isn't allowed to use synthetic chemicals.

But there's a lot more to it than that.

Organic food can benefit not just the people who eat it, but the environment, the farmers

and the animals themselves.

So let's start with the most important thing: your health.

Many conventional farmers use pesticides to keep bugs from damaging their crops.

Pesticide use is generally well regulated in countries like Australia, but we should

remember that their purpose is to kill or disrupt the function of living organisms.

And some studies have shown links between pesticides and cancer, behavioural and reproductive health

issues and lower IQs in children.

Research conducted at RMIT University showed that pesticide levels in humans were reduced

by 90% after eating a mostly organic diet for just 7 days.

So less chemicals in your body is great, but there are also ecological reasons to eat organic.

An organic farmer uses systems designed to fit the cycles of nature and adapts to local

conditions, culture and scale.

To help protect the environment, any resources used in organic production are minimised,

reused or recycled where possible.

Animals also benefit.

In Australia, organic standards dictate that a level of fairness be provided to the animal.

If you're a pig and you naturally love to roll in mud in an open field, then that is

the life that you must be able to lead in order to be classified as organic.

The principle of care means that the production of organic food must be undertaken

in a responsible manner that protects future generations, as well as the environment.

This protects farmers and the land they work on, keeping it useable for years to come.

One word of warning though, organic is generally more expensive to produce, so look for an

organic certification logo to make sure you're getting what you pay for.

What Is Residual Income? - Duration: 3:20.

Linear vs Residual Income. Which is better?

Are you being paid once a month for the work or services that you have produced?

If you say yes, chances are you are earning a linear income or some called it active income.

Whereby, you earn one unit of income for one unit of your effort.

To earn a linear income you also need to be present at your supposed workplace.

For example - a doctor, lawyer, hawker or practically every employed or self-employed person.

You earn a linear income.

If they don't attend to their clients, you don't get paid.

Ok, let's talk about passive income.

What about passive income?

It is an income that you continue earning even when you are not working. Sounds ridiculous, right?

You better believe it!

As thousands or probably millions of people have made it.

Passive income, also known as residual income, is a stream of income which you can earn many times...

with your one unit of effort.

It means that, you do it once, you earn many times.

Let me share with you several sources of passive income.

#1 - Royalty income. Do you know that singers or song writers are paid royalties...

every time their songs are played on the radio or on TV?

This is regardless of how long ago they made the music.

This is a form of royalty income and the best part is, it continues for the rest of their lives.

#2 - This is easy. Real estate. Your real estates can be rented out to earn a good amount of passive income.

#3 - Dividends. This can come from stock investments, where listed companies share their income with...

share holders in the form of cash or stock dividends.

Dividends also come from mutual funds.

#4 - Interest income. Interests from savings or fixed deposits.

#5 - Websites. With increasing availability of internet websites.

Websites have become an effective place to sell your products and services

You don't have to watch the website 24-7 as your clients will be able to purchase

your products or services online without much hassle with secured online transaction.

So, the question is...

how do people actually get rich?

The answer is by having multiple passive incomes.

Would you rather earn a linear income or a passive income?

Is your decision.

Reading Diversely & Picking What to Read // Discussion - Duration: 3:55.

Hi everyone! It's Clarisse, this is ClarisseReads

and today I'm going to talk a bit about

reading more diverse science fiction and

fantasy books. As you may know, I decided

not to set yearly reading goals but

instead try to set more specific

quarterly reading goals. And I'm still

sticking with that, but even though I'm

doing that there are still some reading

goals that are more general that I do

want to prioritize - not necessarily for

the year, but just right now, for some

undefined period of time - and one of

those goals is to read more diverse

science fiction and fantasy. Well, the

first part probably makes sense to you; a

lot of people on Booktube have been wanting

to read more diversely - I mean to

DiverseAThon is a thing, and I think it's

going to be happening when this video goes up -

and that's something I want to strive towards

generally. But the reason that I'm trying

to read diverse science fiction and

fantasy specifically...well, I think that has

bit of a longer explanation. Recently, when

I was trying to reflect a bit on my

reading goals in 2016, and things

that went well, things that went wrong - I

did make those videos, but there were

some thing I noticed that I wasn't able

to mention in those videos. Specifically

for my "Read the World" goal. As I mentioned in

the video when I talked about the results of

that reading goal, I was pretty proud of

what I was able to accomplish, and I'm

still pretty proud of it.

But something I forgot to mention is that even

though I read from so many different

countries

last year I don't think any of the books

I read from my "Read the World" goal made

it to my "Favorites of 2016" video - like I

tried to read more diversely, but my favorites

videos still didn't end up being all

that diverse. I tried to figure out, why is that?

Am I just naturally biased towards things

that aren't diverse without me even trying

to be biased? Then I realized there was

something wrong with my mindset when it

came to reading more diverse books.

When I pick books to read in

general, I normally gravitate towards

science fiction and fantasy, because I

know that those are my favorite genres.

But when I was trying to pick books for,

example my "Read the World" challenge last year,

I was picking books that were rated really

highly, books that were recommended by

my friends...and I don't think there's

anything wrong with that, but I do want

reading diversely to become something

normal, to become something natural.

And I don't think that's going to happen if I

continue to have this disconnect

between how I choose books to read in

general and how I choose books to read

that are diverse. I wasn't unimpressed by my

"Read the World" books because they were

from other countries, but because I

wasn't picking them the way I was picking

books normally. I wasn't picking them

with the same filters. I wasn't picking

books that I thought I WOULD enjoy, but

instead I was picking books that I thought I

SHOULD enjoy, and I think there's

something wrong with that.

So now, for again, some undefined period

of time, I want to try to focus more on

reading diversely, but also reading

books from the genres I love, and

knowing that those two things aren't

separate, I don't need to think of them [as] separate,

I don't need to pick diverse books

differently from the way I pick normal books.

So I'm hoping by the end of the year my

favorites video is going to be a lot more

diverse, I'm hoping that as I progress

with this channel I'm going to be

able to share books that other people

aren't talking about, and, most

importantly, I hope that reading

diversely eventually becomes something

that I don't need to consciously do but

instead becomes something that I

naturally gravitate towards doing. So that's all I

have to say about that,

I guess. Sorry if it was a bit ramble-y; normally for videos I try

to write a bit of an outline first, but I was actually filming

something completely different when I

suddenly went off on a tangent and started

talking about this, so I figured I might as well

make it a completely different video. So if

you have any thoughts on this, or on reading diversely

in general, feel free to share it with me in the comment

section below. Also feel free to share with me any of

the diverse science fiction or fantasy books that you think I should read

also down below. Anyway, thank you so

much for watching, and I hope to see you next time. Bye!

WHAT IS BIOBLITZ? EXPLAINED - Duration: 5:15.

the whole concept of the BioBlitz is

attributed to go Wilson the closest

thing we have to do a father of

biodiversity conservation and the whole

idea is to focus a lot of scientific

attention very broad in scope of

different different types of science and

and directed towards one area and for 24

hours these scientists earth are going

to try to enumerate all life that fits

in whatever the defined area is and

that's guaranteed almost to bring you a

longer list of species for an area that

was known prior to the pile

hungry one of the things that I i expect

to find in these lagoons that we don't

often find in the lake are some

different kinds of crustaceans called

isopods and I also expect to find farm

or insect line and probably a richer

life of worms now you get into lots of

different following when year you're

talking about the different kinds of

worms but we've already captured one

that being the the leech all plankton

has for swimming ability and so and so

it's captured inside the throat here and

concentrated down in this bucket and so

will bring the bucket back and and

unscrew it and wash it out and and see

what we found

we have creatures

sometimes love like this it's almost a

meal

okay coming down here with the others

like that this goods that you can see a

variety of life the darting around in

there there's some great diaphanous

there's some larger amphipods swimming

around here that's good news

it was great to see research and science

happen in real time fashion my students

usually get publications are things on

the internet that you know could be a

couple months you know after is

re-created of science was done so to

actually do the science in a real-time

manner and have been able to see it's

been a great experience file but as

several key components that that are

essential to accomplish what we wanted

to accomplish there are the scientists

that I mean they're they're component

you can deal without i am the primary

researcher on the eukaryotes so we're

looking all the periodic plankton

organisms Yellowstone and we're

basically identifying the

morphologically and then we are

extracting the DNA from them so that we

have a known morphological

identification a known genetic

identification

there's lots of disagreement about what

actually is there and what isn't there

and one of the things that's really

gonna help us with some of these

organisms that are really hard to

identify morphologically is we can

hopefully genetically identify them

one of the things we're looking for is a

hard packed colloid copepod which is

type of crustacean and we have found

that and only one other person that we

know of has found that so far

in the park over last iron some years

and then there's their logistics people

people would have to put together the

the the transportation and and

everything associated with specimens

well on and on and and the third

component our citizen scientists and

their they're just really important

meeting the scientists who are doing the

actual research was phenomenal and being

able to be with them in the field

conducting research and then coming back

and knowing that the information that we

collected information that we are doing

is actually going to be used and be

applicable in the scientific community

was probably the most important part for

me

well they were just at Yellowstone

clocking out the lake as you know and so

they've identified those organisms

morphologically download from the park

now we brought them back to

the lab here at MSU and we're now

extracting the DNA so once we extract

the DNA will run them through polymerase

chain reaction called the pcr for short

and that amplifies lots and lots of

copies of the gene that we want to use

of to actually identify that organism

genetically that's the whole point is

knowing what diversity you're living

around because you cannot conserve what

you don't notice there

Dr. David Jockers - What I Would Do If Diagnosed With Colon Cancer - Duration: 4:30.

Ty Bollinger: So let me ask you this Dr. J. If you were diagnosed with colon cancer, let's say,

what would you do?

Dr. David Jockers: Well, I will tell you, I mean this does hit home.

I didn't talk about this in the beginning but

early on in my practice I was 28-years-old and all of a sudden I had this big red spot

on my nose right here.

And the cancer actually that my grandfather had was a melanoma, a metastatic melanoma,

so a skin cancer.

And so I knew I was susceptible to something along those lines.

I grew up surfing on the beach.

So I've had a lot of intense sun exposure, probably been

burnt way more than I would naturally recommend just really

because I didn't know any better.

And so I knew I was susceptible and at that period of time in my life I was

living, number one, with a lot of fear.

I had just opened a business.

I was in a tremendous amount of debt.

I had a lot of people counting on me.

There was lots of—you know when you run a business there's

confrontation.

There's all different types of issues and you know, my nutrition wasn't excellent.

It was great. I would say it was a lot better than most people.

It wasn't excellent.

There was a lot of things in my life that were

issues.

And so I looked at myself in the mirror and I could see exactly what was developing.

And I knew enough to know that that was not normal.

And certainly I could have gone to a dermatologist or somebody for a more

advanced diagnosis of it but I really didn't need that.

To me it was a wakeup call.

And I think really for all of us we've got to have eyes to see and ears to

hear in our own life because ultimately if we're living in a way that's

just not beneficial to us and the people around us there's going to be wakeup calls.

And I just took inventory of where I was in my life and I realized that

fear was my dominating thought—fear of failure, fear of letting people

down, and I knew I needed to work on myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

I looked at my nutrition.

I realized, you know what.

There was probably way too many carbohydrates in there than there should be.

Okay.

And so I took out the carbohydrates and went keto—ketogenic.

I was over training.

I was actually exercising too much.

So I really focused on rest, really, really resting my body well because I was in a state

of adrenal fatigue.

And so I really needed to rest effectively.

And I just took inventory of all the different areas in my life sort of

doing more detox, really trying to detoxify my liver, utilizing some different supplements,

some different advanced strategies.

In a matter of two months it completely went away.

And so to me it was just—it was really just a message that, hey, my body can

heal itself.

I just need to line up with the right principles.

And certainly, I wouldn't say I was in an advanced

state of cancer but I was looking at something that had the

potential to kill me.

And you know, by just heeding that warning, taking inventory of my life, really getting

it under check I was able to heal myself naturally.

And so I would take the same approach.

You know, I would just look at myself and say what areas of

my are out of sync with natural order and what do I need to get in

check?

Then I would seek out people with great knowledge, people that share a similar philosophy when

it comes to the health—your health and the health of

the body as you.

So I'd seek out expert opinions.

I would research.

Obviously, there's a lot of great website like yours Ty where you can find a lot of

information.

You have a fantastic book where you can find all kinds

of great information out there so you can start applying these

strategies because clearly I had a little bit of an advantage being a doctor working

in this field, I knew where I needed to go to find what I needed.

And so if you're out there and this is the first time you've ever heard this I

would highly recommend seeking out the experts, for example, that are on this panel as well

as getting the books, going to the websites that you need

to, getting the information you need, finding people that share a

similar philosophy, starting to apply either nutrition plans, the supplements, the different

advanced strategies, whatever you're able to do and whatever

just feels right in your spirit to do and you know, you do have hope.

I mean there are answers.

There are natural answers.

And you know, there's a lot of people that are getting

well naturally and you can be one of them.
