percent of surveyed people reported to

have seen a ghost at some point in their

lives and if you use those numbers on a

larger scale then that means someone

somewhere is experiencing the first

ghost sighting every minute but those

numbers also raise some questions

mainly if ghosts really are that

apparent and why is there no scientific

evidence for ghosts yet the James Randi

Educational Foundation has even offered

1 million dollars to anyone who can

prove anything in the paranormal ghosts

psychics mediums anything yet no one has

claimed that million dollars yet so why

has nobody claimed that money at why is

there still no scientific evidence for

ghosts if they really are as apparent as

the numbers suggest we are going to talk

about that as well as how we can go

about proving that ghosts exist

so first of all if goes to really do

exist in the way that most people

believe that they do and they really are

that common than we should be able to

prove it scientifically there is

absolutely no reason why we should not

be able to do that so since it hasn't

been proven that means we are doing

something wrong

right so let's start by pointing out

some of the problems with the way that

people are going about it now both in

trying to prove that ghosts exist and

accepting ghost as a reality

the first problem is that a lot of these

paranormal experiences can be

explained psychologically when our minds

perceive something we try to make sense

of it that's what our minds do and

depending on how much you believe in

ghosts you will be more or less likely

to explain some experience as a ghost

activity but if you don't stop thinking

at "oh it's probably a ghost" then chances

are high that you will find a normal

explanation for your experience another

problem is that the results produced by

ghost-hunting equipment can also often

be explained through psychology the

spirit box can be explained through pareidolia

and confirmation bias the EMF meter can

be triggered by a variety of outside

interferences so also confirmation bias

Ouija boards can be explained through

the ideomotor phenomenon Kinect ghosts

can be explained through flawed hardware

and software and then we've got apps

which generate random words and sounds

and by the way that is how they are

advertised as well they just blatantly

say that it generates random

words and sounds so nothing paranormal

there that's just simple code and if you

do get a word that matches your

situation

confirmation bias and finally you've

also got things like this (ITC photography) i mean guys

come on really

ok so i'm not saying that none of these

things can be used to communicate with

ghosts but what I am saying is that the

evidence that these things produce is

extremely unreliable and cannot be used

to prove go scientifically because there

are so many alternate

explanations that make just as much or

more sense right to prove ghost we need

to eliminate those explanations so that

we can know for certain that these are

in fact ghost and that it's not just our

interpretation of data that's actually

completely unrelated so these tools

needs to be improved otherwise chances

are high that they are just telling you

what you want to hear

meanwhile anything that's really

paranormal just drift further and

further into pseudo-scientific nonsense

so yeah false evidence can undermine the

credibility of the paranormal as a whole

and unfortunately there's a whole lot of

it now I've got videos on most of

these tools so if you want a more

specific explanation of why they are not

exactly credible you can click on my

channel and check those videos out so

don't just say "oh you don't know"

I've had them done my research

go watch the video and then get back to

me okay so yeah whether ghosts exist or

not these tools will produce false data

more often than not that's not just an

opinion that is a fact maybe some tools

are more accurate than others but all

the tools that i just mentioned have a

pretty high chance of producing false

data now people often tell me that

ghosts can't be proven and you're right

not with these tools anyway because

these tools can produce false data but

that doesn't mean ghosts can't be proven

at all if they exist it can be proven

they are here on our planet and they

apparently have the ability to influence

objects and room temperatures and all

that those are things that we can

measure so ghosts are measurable if they

exist so how do we measure them we get

more accurate tools that don't produce

as much false data as these tools do

because the thing with these tools is

they give us more data a lot of it is

going to be false data and that's a

great thing if you are interested in

hunting ghosts for entertainment because

you know you got more to work with but

if you want to prove

ghosts for realsies then know those

tools are utterly useless but the fact

is in science

null results are still better than false

results so yeah, get your sh*t together

guys

another misconception is that we don't

need evidence to know something is true

but the problem with that is if we don't

use science then everything is

paranormal if you go back in time to the

1800s with a smartphone then

they'll just call you a witch

your a witch right or maybe a better

example of this doll right here it's

it's haunted

it's a ghost i believe that it's true so

why don't you seriously why do you not

believe that this doll is haunted is there

any reason why you don't believe

it's obviously floating on its own

you're haunted right yeah see he says he's

haunted and you know what the reason

that you don't believe that it's haunted

is because I didn't dress it up

nicely and manipulate you into believing

that it is haunted

that's why faith is unreliable because

you can easily be manipulated and if

you're not being manipulated then you

are just looking at things that you want

to be through and accepting those expect

and then just defending it with faith if

you don't fly a certain amount of

skepticism then you're going to be prone

to believe all sorts of crazy things

because the world is full of liars who

want to make money you'll be vulnerable

and you can be god damn sure that

people will exploit that vulnerability

faith is unreliable but through science

we are able to accurately describe

things of course it's not always a

hundred percent right but the reason

that it's more reliable than faith is

because it has much higher criteria to

accept something to be true if you use faith

as your reasoning and you're going to

say "science isn't right" at some point that

argument is completely invalid because

with faith there's just no criteria that

determines what is true and what isn't

so science shouldn't simply be dismissed

because you don't like what it has to

say

chances are very high that science knows

much more about the world

than you or I do if science

contradictory beliefs just adapt and

move on and alternatively find some

evidence and disprove the science that's

also a big part of science disproving

existing theories that are what they are

and if your beliefs contradict fact then

maybe the problem doesn't lie with the

fact it's very apparent to me that

people in the paranormal community often

don't bother with fact since everyone

seems to have a different theory on what

ghosts are and they'll often accept that

fact and spread that as the truth

be careful for demons or orbs they're not dust

they are angels angels or something right i

don't know it you get the point right

people accept these theories as fact

based on very little to no evidence it

just sounds plausible and they start

spreading it like it's the truth that

the thing is often times it's not and

this is how misconceptions are created

and that in itself is also a very good

example of why science overrides

beliefs

it just gives us more accurate answers

to questions

the thing is it's just really sad to see

that people dismiss science because it

contradicts what they believe and it

happens more often than you think you

can help you might even do it yourself

and a big part of that is because people

have a hard time letting go of their

belief we all have the illusion that our

beliefs provide comfort but in reality

that is often not the case and sometimes

people forget that they don't have all

the answers just because something is

plausible doesn't mean that it's true

you're basing yourself on limited

information that's why I can't say that

ghosts do or don't exist I just do not

have enough information to say either

way so keep that in mind guys you're not

always right even if you are one hundred

percent certain that you are you can

still be wrong and again goes for me as

well right

I'm human you're human well I'm a duck but

whatever

so how can we go about proving that

ghosts exist

first of all yeah improve the equipment

and if you can't just scrap it and

replace it with the best alternative

secondly evidence must be verifiable

right so if you got a Tom Buckmaster

type who is just running around like "oh I

hear something I see something" really we

don't you're not filming it so that's

not evidence

ok he may very well have been in contact

with ghosts but if there's no evidence

for it then there's no reason to believe

that there was a ghost there you can keep in

mind that hey "maybe it's possible" but as

long as there is no evidence you

shouldn't go beyond that if you can't

verify or falsify it then it's not

evidence even if a lot of people think

that it is so that's the number-one rule

so verifiable evidence this means have

multiple cameras multiple recordings or

if we're going to take a temperature

have a second thermometer make sure

the evidence is well-documented verified

that the equipment isn't malfunctioning

have multiple sessions in the same

location if possible you know things

like that

secondly we need to eliminate other

possible explanations you can just have

a weird experience and say with

certainty that it's a ghost for instance

maybe someone things they're haunted

like they feel like they're being

watched and you know things don't seem

quite right sometimes but in reality

they've got CO poisoning this can happen

and it's dangerous so you can't just say

"oh it's a ghost there's nothing we can do"

right that's why it's important to just

don't stop thinking at "oh it's paranormal"

because often times there is a very

normal explanation otherwise again ghosts

would have been proven by science by now

and of course if you're interested in

real answers rather than just validating

your beliefs then it's also very

important sometimes you can think that

you've got some good evidence while

really it's just something that can be

explained in a normal way so it's very

important to question evidence and try

to debunk it so let's look at some of

the alternative explanations for our

ghost sightings we are

poor observers us humans I've pointed

out countless times we are prone to

see patterns in things objects that

looked like faces

background sounds that sound like voices

it's pareidolia that is going to be

the explanation for a lot of paranormal

experiences not only that we are also

affected by a variety of different

biases that change how we interpret

information this constantly happens in

our daily life so again why would the

paranormal be any different and our

memory isn't that reliable either you

may think you know what happened but

chances are high that you actually don't

false memories

many studies have been done that verify

this

humans do not store memories accurately

i'll give you an example let's say that

you had an experience where the door in

your house simply slammed and you know

you're surprised what the hell is

happening why did that door just slam

and you know maybe you already believe

in ghosts your first thought is

maybe it's a ghost so then

you go tell that story to someone else

and they ask you something to ask you

well "was there any wind" and most likely

your answer will be no because you just

don't remember any wind

so now you have modified that memory of

that experience but you were in the

other room and that happened and when

you want to open the door back up you

didn't remember any wind does that mean

that there was no wind no chances are

high that there really was wind that

slammed the door maybe when you want to

check you didn't notice it or maybe

there really was no wind at that time

but because you didn't feel wind or you

didn't pay attention to it you will now

think that there was no wind and the

next time you tell a story you'll add to

it and you'll say "and there was no wind"

maybe not the best example but you know

I'm trying to make it relatable

this happens every day to everybody

memories get modified and it's no

different for a paranormal experience

or something that has a big impact

on your life or something just everyday

right most of your memories are actually

not real memories and we can prove that

these are just some of the reasons that

there are so many paranormal experiences

while there's just no proof whatsoever

that we've also got environmental

factors like CO infrasound

moving sound from a distance mold

that can induce hallucinations and you

know the list goes on and on

these are just some of the reasons that

we can't believe in ghosts based on

faith or perceived experience it would

be irrational i'm not saying dismiss ghosts

entirely it's always important to keep

an open mind but I am saying be more

skeptical when someone claims to have

seen a ghost because there's this whole

culture starting up around paranormal and

ghost but there's just no evidence

still it's a rabbit hole once you start

believing some of it you'll start

believing more and more and more and

more of any claims that fit within

your current world view that's already

not supported by evidence and that

includes the tons of fake ghost videos

here on YouTube as well and before you

know it

bam you're at the point of no return you

accept goes and conspiracies and

whatever else that seems to fit with the

way you think as reality meanwhile

there is still no scientific evidence to

verify it

so the only way to prevent that is keep

an open mind but think critically and be

aware of these things may be ghosts

exist and maybe they don't but until

there is scientific evidence there is no

way to say for certain

all we can say is that there's a lot of

misconceptions a lot of Lies and fakery

a lot of false evidence that was it for

Louvre knife attack: Soldier shoots armed man in Paris - Duration: 1:04.

A French soldier shot and wounded an armed man who was trying to enter the Louvre.

According to Reuters on Friday, a man wielding a machete tried to get into the underground

shopping mall connecting to the museum.

He was wearing two backpacks, but no explosives were found in them.

Investigators are still trying to find his motives.

Michel Cadot, the head of the Paris police force said the man shouted "Allahu Akbar",…

making police believe he could be an Islamic terrorist.

"I think this attack was made by someone who had a will of agression, who was a threat

and who was shouting things that would make one think he wanted to do it in a terrorist

context, but without elements, in particular a bag, more dangerous than the machete, or

the machetes."

Another individual behaving suspiciously was detained in the process, but it's not yet

confirmed if he is linked to the attack.

France has been on a state of emergency after a series of terror attacks in recent years

with soldiers stationed in public places around the capital city.

Yukio Mishima was one of the most influential Japanese writers of the 20th century

And was considered for the Nobel Prize three times

Mishima didn't allow the political views he expressed in his books to remain in his books

He led and lost his life trying to establish what he believed in

Mishima was separated from his family at a very young age and lived with his grandmother

His grandma wasn't the kind of grandma that would give you cookies all the time

And make more food than you really need

She was the kind of grandma that was often violent, didn't let you leave the house

And made you play only with your female cousins and their dolls

Fair to say he didn't know much about football

But who cares when you can make a perfect French braid on a Barbie doll

At the age of 12, Mishima returned to his original family and had already started writing

He was mostly writing poems at this time. Meanwhile his dad, a man with a soft spot for military discipline

Belonged to the infamous "poetry is gay" artistic school of thought. So he tried to put some masculinity into Mishima

By destroying his writing and holding him up against a speeding train

Mishima was drafted for the Japanese army at the beginning of WWII

But had a cold when he went for a medical checkup

The army called Doctor Drama and he claimed it was not a cold but tuberculosis

So Mishima wasn't able to take part in the war

After the war, Japan really wanted the others to forget that they were allied with the Nazis

And wanted to convince everyone Japan was just a country of fun-loving people

Who make origami and water bonsai trees all day

This was strongly against Mishima's patriotism and his pride of Japan's tradition

You know, the samurai and shoguns, not flashing billboards in English

Mishima had an option to marry Michiko Shoda, who later married another guy and is now known as Empress Michiko

Well, I guess she's not crying herself to sleep because Mishima swiped left

Instead, he got married with another lady and had two children, which didn't succeed in stopping the rumors

That he was visiting gay bars and was indeed a homosexual

It would be cynical of us to go back now to his father's views on poetry, but, thankfully, we won't do it

Having been let down by the westernization of Japan, Mishima formed Tatenokai, or the Shield Society

A private militia consistent of around 100 students who were devoted to returning Japan to its former ways

Mishima followed Bushido, the code of the samurai, and was hated by both the left and the right

In 1970, at the age of 45, Mishima, with four other members of the Tatenokai

Went to the office of Japan's Self-Defense Forces and tied down the commander

Mishima went to the balcony and held a speech in front of the soldiers, wanting to initiate a coup

Disappointingly, the soldiers mocked Mishima and booed him off the stage

Mishima then went back, wrote his death poem and prepared himself for hara-kiri

He sat down, stabbed himself in the stomach and waited for the second part of the ritual - a decapitation

Now, to nicely cut off someone's head you need a sharp blade, a steady arm and one swift blow

Morita, who was Mishima's designated head cutter had only one

So, yeah, things got really awkward and messy

Now after more than a few tries, another guy, Koga, took the sword from Morita

And managed to kill Mishima in his first try

Embarrassed with his performance, Morita kneeled down next to Mishima and committed hara-kiri as well

With Koga now decapitating two of his friends

On the day he was just supposed to be an uncredited member of the audience

The Koran Is Borrowed from Both Jewish and Christian Myths

The doings and "sayings" of Moses and Abraham and Jesus

being so ill-founded and so inconsistent, as well as so often immoral,

one must proceed in the same spirit of inquiry to

what many believe is the last revelation: that of the Prophet

Muhammad and his Koran or "recitation." Here again, the

Angel (or Archangel) Gabriel is found at work, dictating

suras, or verses, to a person of little or no learning. Here

again are stories of a Noah-like flood, and injunctions

against idol worship. Here again the Jews are the first

recipients of the message and the first both to hear it and to

discard it. And here again there is a vast commentary of

doubtful anecdote about the actual doings and sayings of

the Prophet, this time known as the hadith. Islam is at once the most and the least interesting

of the world's monotheisms. It builds upon its primitive

Jewish and Christian predecessors, selecting a chunk

here and a shard there, and thus if these fall, it partly

falls also. Its founding narrative likewise takes place within

an astonishingly small compass, and relates facts

about extremely tedious local quarrels. None of

the original documents, such as they are, can be contrasted

with any Hebrew or Greek or Latin texts. Almost all

of the tradition is oral, and all of it is in Arabic. Indeed,

many authorities agree that the Koran is only intelligible

in that tongue, which is itself subject to innumerable idiomatic

and regional inflections.

This would leave us, on the face of it, with the absurd and

potentially dangerous conclusion that god was a monoglot.

Before me is a book, "Introducing Muhammad", written by

two extremely unctuous British Muslims who are hoping to

present a friendly version of Islam to the West. Ingratiating

and selective as their text may be, they insist that "as the

literal Word of God, the Koran is the Koran only in the

original revealed text. A translation can never be the Koran,

that inimitable symphony, 'the very sound of which moves

men and women to tears.' A translation can only be an

attempt to give the barest suggestion of the meaning of

words contained in the Koran. This is why all Muslims,

whatever their mother tongue, always recite the Koran in its original Arabic."

In my own country of birth, I am sadly aware that there is a beautiful poetic tradition,

unavailable to me because I will never know the marvelous

tongue called Gaelic. Even if god is or was an Arab (an

unsafe assumption), how could he expect to "reveal"

himself by way of an illiterate person who in turn could not

possibly hope to pass on the unaltered (let alone unalterable) words.

the impressive fact remains that all religions have staunchly resisted

any attempt to translate their sacred texts into languages

"understanded of the people," as the Cranmer prayer book phrases it.

There would have been no Protestant Reformation if it were not for the long struggle

to have the Bible rendered into "the Vulgate" and the

priestly monopoly therefore broken.

Devout men like Wycliffe, Coverdale, and Tyndale were burned alive for

even attempting early translations.

The Catholic Church has never recovered from its abandonment of the

mystifying Latin ritual.

All religions take care to silence or to execute those who question them

(and I choose to regard this recurrent tendency as a sign of their weakness rather than their strength).

It has, however, been some time since Judaism and Christianity resorted openly to torture and

censorship. Not only did Islam begin by condemning all

doubters to eternal fire, but it still claims the right to do so

in almost all of its dominions, and still preaches that these

dominions can and must be extended by war.

There has never been an attempt in any age to challenge or even

investigate the claims of Islam that has not been met with

extremely harsh and swift repression. Provisionally, then,

one is entitled to conclude that the apparent unity and

confidence of the faith is a mask for a very deep and

probably justifiable insecurity. That there are and always

have been sanguinary feuds between different schools of Islam,

resulting in strictly inter-Muslim accusations of

heresy and profanity and in terrible acts of violence, naturally goes without saying.

It is often said that Islam differs from other monotheisms in

not having had a "reformation." This is both correct and incorrect.

There are versions of Islam—most notably the

Sufi, much detested by the devout—which are principally

spiritual rather than literal and which have taken on some

accretions from other faiths. And, since Islam has avoided

the mistake of having an absolute papacy capable of

uttering binding edicts (hence the proliferation of

conflicting fatwas from conflicting authorities)

its adherents cannot be told to cease believing what they once held as dogma.

This might be to the good, but the fact remains

that Islam's core claim—to be unimprovable and final—is at once absurd and unalterable.

Its many warring and discrepant sects, from Ismaili to Ahmadi, all agree on this indissoluble claim.

Yet no comparable project has ever been undertaken in Koranic scholarship.

No serious attempt has been made to catalog the discrepancies between its various editions

and manuscripts, and even the most tentative efforts to do so have been met with almost Inquisitional rage.

A critical case in point is the work of Christoph Luxenburg, The Syriac-Aramaic Version of the Koran,

published in Berlin in the year 2000.

Luxenburg coolly proposes that, far from being a monoglot screed,

the Koran is far better understood once it is conceded

that many of its words are Syriac- Aramaic rather than Arabic.

(His most celebrated example concerns the rewards of

a "martyr" in paradise: when retranslated and redacted the

heavenly offering consists of sweet white raisins rather than virgins.)

This is the same language, and the same region, from which much of Judaism and Christianity emerged:

there can be no doubt that unfettered research would result in the dispelling of much obscurantism.

But, at the very point when Islam ought to be joining its predecessors in subjecting itself to rereadings,

there is a "soft" consensus among almost all the religious that, because of the

supposed duty of respect that we owe the faithful,

this is the very time to allow Islam to assert its claims at their own face value.

Once again, faith is helping to choke free inquiry

and the emancipating consequences that it might bring.

President Donald Trump canceled plans to sign an executive order Tuesday that would have

revamped the federal government�s cybersecurity protection.

No explanation for the postponement was given.

The Washington Post published what it said was a draft version of the order Trump was

considering.

Based upon comments shared with pool reporters covering the White House, a White House official

told reporters that the differences between what Trump will do and what past presidents

had done could be summed up as �the changes are in management philosophy, in enterprise

risk management, and modernizing federal IT.

Not that that�s something previous presidents haven�t tried, but President Trump has a

plan for accomplishing it.�

In reporting on the draft, the website TechCrunch noted it did not address voting systems.

CBS reported the draft order would require government departments to use best practices

from the private sector and prepare for modernization.

Trump was touting the need for cybersecurity protection Tuesday when he met with former

New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a special adviser for cyber issues, and others in what

was called a �listening session.�

�The Democratic National Committee was hacked successfully, very successfully, and terribly

successfully,� Trump said, saying that served as a �good example� of the need for greater

cyber protection.

Hey hello, in a huge way, I'm a failure.

And that is the most un-positive thing I'm going to say this entire video

I in the past have had... imperfect behaviours

and I'm talking about the world of friendship, relationships, etc...

But this video's very different than the other videos I've made

because I've identified a key issue that comes up again and again.

(singing) when I was, a young boy, my mother, she told me not to let people, take advantage of me

And I didn't listen

For such a long time I've played hero

So I see someone cute attached to whatever genitalia

and sometimes those people are cute like ex-guy friends or like ex-girlfriends

and I say "Oh gosh I wanna associate with this person more"

and then I find out that they have needs

so what do I do? I say "Hey, I can fill those needs, I have the things you needs"

and so I give those people the things that they needs

What I'm trying to say is: I am not a very good hero.

I like to save people from financial hardship

I've done it repeatedly in previous relationships

where I give them my time, I give them my energy

Most every friend or significant other I was ever around

I would pay for almost everything they got while they were around me

and I did this because deep down, I thought I was buying them

I thought I was not only purchasing their meals, making them more financially well off

I also thought that I was buying their loyalty

and that is crazy, that is not something anyone should do

money is not designed to buy people's loyalty

Money is designed to make life a little easier

or in some cases buy your way into political office...

and my point in saying this is I know some of you are just like me

maybe I'm super generic

but what you do is you take a very long time to learn important lessons

and you don't realise that when you invest in people

almost like a mobster giving someone a watch

where there's all these strings attached

You are often going to find yourself walking out of that friendship or other

relationship completely not so happy

when you feel like you gave someone

something it didn't get much back off

your wannabe white knight like myself

and your super self-righteous on top of

being attention hungry you're going to

turn to the world and you're gonna say

world I was wrong and that person is the

person who wronged me first I gave him

so much and I was so happy and then they

turn around and they betrayed me

it's my fault I did the opposite of

winning and I am so very sorry for the

longest time I've been unfair in

friendships and I thought I was the

victim because I was the one who was

losing so much money to these people but the

reality is they didn't sign an agreement saying

that they would always be nice to me but

that's a which is blindly follow

whatever I said I just assumed a lot of

things and that was not right so this is

something I don't believe that I fully

understood before and because of an

epiphany I experienced today I've decided

no longer am I going to automatically

offered to pay for the meal of people

who are not my family members no longer

am I automatically going to pay for things

just because the person is coming to see

me no longer am I going to buy people

gifts when it's not even their birthday

or Christmas I'm going to do my best to

follow that if they're not family then I

shouldn't be overly generous to those

people unless they're also generous to

me and the reason for this is because

that is called fairness give to others

what they give to you it's not a matter

of selfishness it's not a matter of greed the

it's a matter of not turning your relationship

later on into something really

unpleasant if things kind of fall apart

like it would be nice if when people

decided to no longer talk anymore that

nobody felt wronged or taken advantage

of or used we gotta let fully capable

adults take care of themselves

I mean if you're an adult you taking

care of yourself why is it your

responsibility to automatically take

care of others and those individuals are

entirely capable of watching out for

themselves the lesson I've learned today

that the greatest value and friendship

is not generosity because that is

disproportionate greatest value in

friendships and relationships in general

is balance for each person gives to the

relationship as much as they take away

and and that you're actually being more

generous because you're increasing the

potential of a happy friendship as an

alternative contributing to a friendship

that's kind of like a half-built Jenga

tower if you only take the pieces out of

one side that thing's going to topple

over and again this applies to most all

relationships and it's not just about

finances is also about how much time

love effort you put into a relationship

if you are texting them way more than

their texting you back if you're calling

them way more than they're calling you

back this is disproportion in order for

things to be in sync in order for both

people to be truly happy you have to

have balance or at least that's as far

as me and my 31 year-old logic goes i'm
