What is HAZOP - Duration: 4:44.

[Intro Music] >>Background Voice: ABC Industries is building

a new, greenfield hydrocarbons processing plant. Linda is a young engineer, working

on this project. George is her boss, who is the project manager.Lets now go to the Project

Office. >>LINDA: Good Morning George!

>>GEORGE: Good Morning Linda! How are things? >>LINDA: Well..not very clear

>>GEORGE: Why? >>LINDA: During yesterdays meeting, you

said that we will be carrying out a HAZOP Study for the new plant that is coming up.

Could you explain what is it? Why do we need it?

>>GEORGE: Sure, Linda. A HAZOP is a highly structured way of analysing all the things

that can go wrong in a complex plant such as ours. It is a Risk Assessment technique

that has become the de-facto industry standard for all plants in the Oil & Gas, Chemical,

pharmaceutical, power generation and even mining industries.

>>LINDA: Oh? Yes, I have heard of it before but have no idea how it works.

>>GEORGE: No problem, I will explain the basic idea of HAZOP in short. If you want more information,

simply go to the Abhisam website to learn about it.

>>GEORGE: Look, the idea is fairly simple. As I already said, modern plants are complex

and there is the possibility that some things may not happen as expected.

>>LINDA: Yes, thats true. >>GEORGE: But in our case, if things do not

work as they are supposed to, it may lead to a disaster!

>>LINDA: Yes, you are right. >>GEORGE: And there may be so many things

that can go wrong. We call them deviations. >>LINDA: OK.

>> GEORGE: Now in HAZOP, we carefully examine every possible deviation and think about what

were to happen, if the deviation does take place. For every such deviation, we ask whether

this can result in an unwanted occurrence or an accident. This could be a fire or explosion

or a tank that overflows, causing spillage of toxic material.

>>LINDA: Oh, that we means we think of all these bad things that can happen! Then what

do we do? >>GEORGE: Then, we think of ways to mitigate

it and recommend ways to do it. It could be an operator action or a safety interlock or

whatever is needed. >>LINDA: That must be a very long and complex

process. >>GEORGE: It sure is! But then a proper HAZOP

Methodology takes care of it. Also, a trained HAZOP team can do it pretty fast.

>>LINDA: Oh thats good to know. >>GEORGE: Yes, sure. You should get trained

in HAZOP at the earliest, since the project has already started.

>>LINDA: Thats a great idea, but how do I get the training?

>>GEORGE: Well, no sweat at all! Just take the Abhisam online HAZOP Training. You can

learn everything that you need to know with actual examples and case studies. Simulations

of deviations, make it really great. Just take a look at this!

>>Explainer: Here's a part of an animation from the HAZOP Course, that explains the Guide

Word High via an actual situation. This is just a very brief sample. The actual HAZOP

Course from Abhisam has many more such different examples.

>>LINDA: Thats great! Looks very interesting. >>GEORGE: Yes. Plus you also learn about the

management aspects of HAZOP, standards used in HAZOP and much more.

>>LINDA: But after I take the training, then what? How do people know that I am trained?

>>GEORGE: Well, if you take their exam, then you get a printable Certificate of Competency

and also an electronic badge that you can share on places such as LinkedIn and Facebook.

So everybody knows that you took the training, passed the exam and are now competent in HAZOP.

>>LINDA: Wow! Thats cool. >>GEORGE: You are telling me! On my last

project I could get my entire team trained and made competent in HAZOP in the space of

just a couple of weeks. >>LINDA: Sure, I will request my Training

Manager to get it today. >>GEORGE: That is good! Bye for now, I have

to rush to a meeting now. >>LINDA: Thank You George, you are always

so helpful. Bye! Take Care!

- Electronic boost control gives

a number of advantages in a high powered car.

Not only can we maintain a consistent,

and accurate boost level, but particularly in a high powered

two-wheel drive car, we can use electronic boost control

to reduce the boost, as the driver backs out

of the throttle, and also run lower boost in lower gears,

were traction's more of an issue.

Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2017: How to win everywhere or What is a Game Theory - Duration: 3:00.

In my opinion life is a kind of game where we achieve our goals

Today my dear friends i want to share with you about how to play this game or to be precise

what is a game theory game theory is a method of finding optimal

strategies in games using math in the concept of the game theory a game is a process in

which two or more participants are fighting to realize their interests each of the participants

uses a certain strategy which depending on the decision of other players can lead to

a win or loss now let`s talk about how it`s started first concepts of game theory were

described in the classic book of great mathematicians like John von Neumann and Oskar Morgenstern

in 19 and 44 at that time all the concepts of game theory analyzed zero sum games where

winners win at the expense of losers as an example this is poker where one picks all

the bets of others then in 19 and 49 mathematician John Nash develops methods of analysis where

all participants either win or lose despite the fact they competed these situations were

called non-cooperative equilibrium or nash equilibrium which i will explain later as

a result of this research game theory has become popular in economics business science

psychology computer science and biology despite this fact the game theory is everywhere around

us and to prove it let`s get acquainted with one main paradox of game theory which tells

if people don`t cooperate with each other and think only themselves then often situations

where everyone loses are developed for example let`s imagine two cousins Sam

and Bob who by unimaginable coincidence wanted to sell unique glowing socks that spencer

wore in Icarly Since they are brothers Bob and Sam make an

agreement to sell socks by equally high prices their initial profit was 300$ each one day

Bob decides to lower his prices what makes him earning 400$ sam notices that his profit

has fallen to two hundreds and also reduces his prices to return customers after this

Bob and Sam start earning 50$ less than if they agreed to cooperate this state is called

Nash equilibrium because it`s beneficial to save this balance since any change except

agreement will worsen their financial situations for that reason large companies compete in

non-price range and try to distinguish their products from others by making innovations

and improvements but in most cases the best outcome is only possible when cooperating

anyway cooperate or not ..... is your choice

KARD Reveals What's Most Awkward About Being A Co-Ed Group

KARD laid out the most awkward and uncomfortable parts about being in a co-ed group.

  A post shared by KARD (@official_kard) on Jun 11, 2017 at 10:39pm PDT  .

KARD is unique in that they're one of the only K-Pop idol groups with both female and male members.

According to the members, the most awkward part of being in a co-ed group is having to dance provocatively with the members of the opposite sex.

In Oh NaNa, Somin and Jiwoo twerk in front of the boys during the dance break.

And in Dont Recall, BM and J.

seph get up close and personal with the girls.

But after months of practice and a stronger bond between the members, Jiwoo revealed that they all just got used to it.

Even though its uncomfortable for us, we had to get used to it because even if its awkward – its more awkward for the viewers if they sense that tension between us.

Thats why we got over the awkward stages and did our best with the dance. — KARDs Jiwoo.

The members also revealed that they had to change clothes in the same room before!.

All of the members agreed that it was super uncomfortable when they were only given one changing room.

But thankfully, theyre now being given two rooms for wardrobe changes!.

BBC 6 Minute English - What your lunch says about you - Duration: 6:19.

Hello and welcome to 6 Minute English– the show that brings you an interesting topic,

authentic listening practice and six items of incredibly useful vocabulary.

I'm Dan…

And I'm Neil.

In this programme we'll be discussing the lovely topic of lunch – and what our lunch

choices say about us.

So, Dan, what are you doing for lunch today?

Ah Neil, are you asking me to join you?

I'd love to, thanks.

There's this great little Vietnamese place we have to check out, right next to the office

if you just…

Ah, actually – I was just asking to… open up today's topic.

Sorry.

You see, I've brought a sandwich.

Oh, a sandwich.

Again!

How dull.

Well, you're not the only one – a survey from 2012 showed a third of Britons eat exactly

the same thing for lunch – every day!

And yes, it's mostly sandwiches.

I had a curry yesterday.

Well, it's almost lunchtime so we'd better get on with our question, which is: how long

is the average lunch break in the UK?

Is it: a) An hour and a half

b) 45 minutes c) 25 minutes

Oh, I wish it was an hour and a half, but I'm pretty sure it must be c) 25 minutes

Well, we'll find out if you're right… just before lunch!

All this talk of lunch is actually making me feel a bit peckish.

Peckish is a great word isn't it – it's a slang word for being a bit hungry.

Feeling peckish, Dan?

I am now.

Now, about you and your sandwiches Neil.

Two slices of bread with filling might be the most popular British lunch choice, but

it didn't use to be that way.

Listen to food writer Bee Wilson.

Which adjective does she use to describe sandwiches?

They were what you had in an emergency.

They were what you had on a long train journey.

It was a kind of makeshift lunch when you couldn't get anything better.

So – sandwiches had humble origins as makeshift meals.

Makeshift describes something temporary and low quality – a solution you create when

you can't do anything better.

I can't help feel this is all getting a little personal, Dan.

There's a sometimes very practical reason to eat a sandwich – like on a train.

On a weekday in the office though, there's no excuse.

If you worked as hard as I did, Dan – you'd only have time for a sandwich!

Which is just what Bee Wilson was saying – we treat lunchtime as if it were an emergency.

It says something about our attitude to work and food in the UK.

Next, let's hear from philosopher Julian Baggini with his view on eating the same thing

every day.

And let's teach one more word first – utilitarian.

It describes something practical and useful, rather than attractive.

What lunch says about us is that we're still very much stuck in this kind of quite functional,

you know, efficient, utilitarian attitude of how we should construct our daily lives;

and that for all our embrace of this great food culture and everything, we haven't

managed to make that an everyday thing – it remains something for the special occasions.

So – he thinks we live in a world where we value being efficient – where we have

a functional, utilitarian attitude to life.

Exactly, we're aware of a great food culture, we embrace this culture – but only for special

occasions.

Yes – let's look at that word embrace.

It normally means this… let me just…

Oh Neil, I didn't know you cared.

Neil just hugged me, wrapped his arms around me, embraced me.

Just as we can embrace physical things and people – we can also embrace ideas.

Here's an idea I embrace, Neil.

We should all embrace new foods.

Broaden our horizons.

To broaden our horizons means 'to open our minds and experience new things'.

Let me broaden your horizons right now.

Experts from Cornell University say it leads to better team spirit if colleagues eat together.

OK, I get the picture.

I should ditch my sandwich and eat with you.

In the name of team spirit – that is – getting on well with team members – having a feeling

of belonging.

Finally.

Vietnamese?

Oh yes, but not before you tell me the answer to today's question.

How long do Brits take for lunch?

Well the answer was c) 25 minutes.

That comes from a survey done by the BBC this year to find out about our modern dining habits.

25 minutes?

It's a crying shame, Dan.

But before we have lunch ourselves, let's run over the vocab one more time.

First up we had peckish.

It means 'hungry – just a little hungry'.

I'm feeling rather peckish at the moment, you?

I think I've gone beyond peckish, Dan.

Roll on lunch.

Next?

We had makeshift – which describes a temporary or low quality solution.

For example, last week my team's goalkeeper was sick, so I had to replace him as a makeshift

goalie.

Or, another example – when I was a student I used the steel bin in my room as a makeshift

drum.

I'm sure the neighbours loved that.

Now what about this word utilitarian?

In the context we used it, it means 'simple and functional, rather than beautiful'.

Do you think it would be fair to describe your polo shirt as utilitarian?

I prefer classic and timeless.

Please.

But enough of all this banter.

You know, I believe we should all just get along.

Oh, are you going to hug me again?

To embrace me?

Not this time, let's stick with the metaphorical meaning – 'to accept a new belief or idea'.

For example, I wasn't sure about the new website design, but now I fully embrace it.

Very nice.

And I embrace your suggestion that colleagues should eat together.

It looks like you've broadened your horizons.

Well, when I taught English in Spain, Japan, Poland and the Czech Republic, it really broadened

my horizons and taught me about new ways of life.

How about you?

Yes, they say travel broadens the mind – it certainly broadened my horizons too.

Even better – why don't we go travelling together – with the whole Learning English

team?

Yeah!

That would be wonderful for team spirit –the good feeling of being together.

Maybe to Cambodia?

It certainly would.

And that's the end of today's 6 Minute English.

Please join us again soon, after our delicious lunch!

And we are on social media too.

Make sure to visit our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages.

Bye!

WHAT IS BIG SHINY TUNES 20?? - Duration: 3:13.

Hey, My name is Jeremy King.

As some of you already know, I'm a content creator and I'd like to share one of my

most recent projects with you called Big Shiny Tunes 20.

But first, many of you will probably appreciate a little bit of context.

So what what exactly is Big Shiny Tunes?

Well, for many people growing up in Canada in the 1990's, watching MuchMusic, "the

nation's music station," was their first exposure to popular mainstream rock music.

Starting in 1996, MuchMusic began releasing an annual compilation album called Big Shiny

Tunes.

Released before Christmas and extremely popular, these compilations provided a whole year's

worth of hit songs on one affordable CD.

Big Shiny Tunes became the best-selling album series in Canadian history, with 5 million

albums sold in ten years.

The best-selling album of the series was Big Shiny Tunes Two (2), which went Diamond, selling

over 1 Million copies.

On a personal level, Big Shiny Tunes was my first exposure to modern rock music.

I was 11 years old when my best friend, Jeff, brought over Big Shiny Tunes Two (2), it opened

the door to a larger auditory reality and my musical life was forever changed by it.

At the time of the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Big Shiny Tunes album,

I felt compelled, fueled by nostalgia, to create my own compilation album "Big Shiny

Tunes 20."

So this is my vision of what Big Shiny Tunes would look like today, if MuchMusic had continued

releasing albums, and if the station hadn't been bought out by Bell Media.

To create this album I carefully curated the chosen songs.

I did this through months of research, I listened to The Zone, Victoria BC's modern rock station,

for hours on end.

I made sure that the album complied with the CRTC regulations that were followed during

the Big Shiny Tunes era, which required a minimum percentage of Canadian content.

The order of the songs was also important to me in that I wanted to create a progression

that resulted in a sum total bigger than the individual parts.

I wanted to create an overarching narrative that personified MuchMusic.

At the end of this project, I created a mock commercial to advertise the fictional CD release

of this album.

Steve Anthony, one of the original MuchMusic Veejays and the voice of the original Big

Shiny Tunes commercials generously agreed to do the voice over of my commercial script.

Steve's voice added to the authenticity I was striving for in this project.

So stay tuned because up next is the commercial for the album followed by the album itself

in a traditional MuchMusic format.

I've even included some little easter eggs for those who check out the livestream of

the album.

Thank you so much for watching and I hope that you enjoy Big Shiny Tunes 20.

WHAT I ATE TODAY | lazy no-cook vegan meals | healthy + easy - Duration: 10:52.

Morning, guys. Today I'm gonna be doing a what I eat in a day video and show you

everything I eat in a day because that's the most requested video I got. And it's

gonna be a what I eat in a day - no cook lazy vegan meals edition because I want to

share with you what I actually eat a lot of the time when I am too lazy to cook

or too busy to cook. I'm just starting my morning with some green tea. I like to

start my morning with a little boost. And before that, I did a really quick a

meditation session and I also wrote in my journal for like 5 or 10 minutes. And

I love to start my morning with those activities because I find I'm so much

calmer and less anxious and stressed than if I start my morning by looking at

my phone and checking email and social media and reading the news. I really

recommend you don't read the news when you first wake up - it's very depressing.

Anyways I'm gonna finish my tea and then head out for a short workout, and I'm

keeping it short because I'm coming off a very long hiatus from exercising, like

months long, so I don't want to injure myself. And after my short workout, I

will see you back here.

Alright so I just got back from my morning workout and I

am ready for a hearty and nourishing breakfast. So this is an instant

superfood muesli and I like to make it because you can have muesli in just a

few minutes you don't have to wait for it to soak and it's easy, it's healthy

and it's packed with superfoods. So we're gonna start with about 1/2 cup of oats -

these are rolled oats. And then we're gonna add this plate of superfoods. We've

got about 3 to 4 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut flakes, 2

tablespoons of walnuts, 2 tablespoons of raw buckwheat groats, a tablespoon of

chia seeds and about 2 to 3 tablespoons of raisins.

To soften the muesli instead of waiting for it to soak in the fridge, we're going

to add the flesh of one mashed ripe banana.

Once it's all nice and mashed, we're going to add it to the oats mixture. Just get

that in there, real sticky and gooey.

So we mixed the banana with the oats and everything else until it got a nice little

texture. And then we're gonna serve it on the side of some coconut yogurt. You can

also serve it on the side of plant-based milk.

Then we'll add even more superfoods. This is a tablespoon each of flaxseed meal,

pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs, and one more thing - hemp seeds.

Alright, I'm back home and in

the kitchen. After breakfast I ran a bunch of errands and I met a friend for

coffee and then I walked home for a couple miles, so I worked up an appetite.

And we're gonna make a huge hearty salad, and if you think salads can't be filling,

I think you should try this one out. For lunch we're gonna have a huge salad, it's

basically an everything but the kitchen sink salad. I'm gonna use all kinds of

ingredients that I have in my pantry and in my fridge. We're gonna start with about 2

to 3 cups of a coleslaw mix, this is just shredded broccoli and carrots, it's from

a bag. It saves a lot of time. You can use any kind of bagged salad you like. And then

I'm gonna add some canned chickpeas, about 1/2 cup to a cup. I just want to make

sure I get enough protein since I've been active today.

And then we're gonna add some nuts and seeds and raisins. This is about 2 to

3 tablespoons each of cashews, sunflower seeds and raisins, and the nuts

and seeds are raw. Let's just toss all that in there. And then we're gonna add

some creamy avocado. This is half of an avocado and it's ripe, so it's gonna

be delicious. For our salad dressing, we're going to be doing a tahini maple

dressing, which is one of my favorite dressings, and it's super simple. We're

gonna start with t2o tablespoons of tahini. Tahini is just ground sesame

seeds into a paste or liquid form, and we're gonna add about a tablespoon apple

cider vinegar. And that will be the acid in our salad dressing. I'm gonna add a

few pinches of garlic powder, a generous sprinkling of black pepper,

some pink Himalayan sea salt. When you're making your own salad dressing at home,

it's really important to season it properly so that every morsel has a

little bit of flavor. Then we're gonna add about a half tablespoon of maple

syrup. That sweetness really balances out the acidity from the apple cider vinegar.

And that's about it. And we're just gonna whisk it, if I can find my whisk.

Now that it's nice and creamy and pourable, we're just gonna taste it to make sure it

tastes good. And it tastes perfect, so I'm just going to dress the salad.

So after I did some work this afternoon, I treated myself to a glass of wine at a

bar. I didn't show you that because you know what a glass of wine looks like, but

now it's almost dinnertime, so let's head into the kitchen to show you an

easy quick dinner. For dinner we're gonna be having some really easy tacos. I love

Mexican food but I don't really love to stand by the stove and make refried

beans from scratch or do lots of other time intensive things when I'm feeling

lazy, so this is a really easy five-minute taco recipe. Canned black beans -

I've just rinsed and drained these. Of course if you use beans that you've

cooked that are, you know, dried to begin with, that's great, but to save time I'm

using canned beans. And I'm also going to add some canned corn that I've also rinsed

and drained.

Very ripe avocado - as you can see, it's perfectly ripe. That's gonna make this

salad so much more better. That's not a thing - so much better.

Then we're gonna add some sliced cherry tomatoes. You can use regular tomatoes as well.

Some minced cilantro and one chopped shallot. And I'm using that

instead of onions because I don't love raw onions - they're a little too strong

for me - and with the shallot, I can just use one and that's all I need for one

person, I don't have to store the rest of the onion in my fridge. Now we're gonna

make a dressing for this mixture right here and it's nothing fancy. There are no

measurements, I'm just gonna kind of play it by ear. Or what is? Is that the phrase?

I'm just gonna, hmmm

Huh. Alright. So I'm going to add a little bit of olive oil, this is maybe 2

teaspoons, maybe a tablespoon. Then I'm going to add some fresh lime juice for

the acid for the salad.

Then I'm going to add some red chilli flakes because I want some spice. If I

was cooking more, I would add some diced jalapenos or serrano peppers. A little

bit of ground cumin. If you don't like cumin you can leave it out. I know some

people say it tastes like feet. That's unfortunate. I think it's delicious.

Then some freshly cracked pepper and salt, and I'm gonna kind of mash up the

avocado so it's kind of like a guacamole. Except not because guacamole doesn't have

black beans or corn. To go with our tacos we're gonna have a really easy vegan

sour cream. This is a store-bought Greek style vegan yogurt. It's from the brand

Kite Hill. It's made with almond milk, and if you can't find Greek style yogurt, you

can use any plant-based yogurt, it just won't be as thick. To this I'm gonna

add a little bit of apple cider vinegar and some lime juice. You could also use a

store-bought vegan sour cream or you can make one at home from scratch. I have a

recipe for a cashew sour cream. If you're interested in that, let me know in the

comments below and I will put up a recipe for that. Then we have our

tortillas right here. These are corn tortillas - they're made with just white

corn, water and lime, so they're gluten free as well. Since this is a no-cook

video, of course you can just put your filling onto your tortillas like this.

You can also microwave your tortillas so they're warmed up or you can char the

tortillas for about 10 seconds on the stove over an open flame. I know this

involves some cooking, so it's totally optional.

So after I finished those delicious tacos for dinner

I finished my evening by snuggling up on the couch with my best friend Netflix.

And I had some dark chocolate and dates for dessert. I hope you enjoyed this what

I ate today video. If you did, let me know in the comments below, hit that thumbs up

button, and of course don't forget to subscribe so you get more videos from me.

What Does Your Palm Lines Says About Your Love Life & Marriage - Duration: 3:24.

What Does Your Palm Lines Says About Your Love Life & Marriage

If You Bring Your Hands Together And These 2 Lines On Your Palm Match Up, It Means Something

Incredible!

There is a lot that can be said about the lines on your hands but did you know what

it means when the two lines provided in the picture line up together perfectly?

Palmistry has been a very big piece of ancient Chinese history where you are able to see

your destiny unfold before your very eyes depending on what story can be told on the

surface of your palms.

Every single person has their own individual tale to tell, however, you might be surprised

at how accurate these lines really are.

Place both of your hands together just like in the picture.

It is the first line directly below from your fingers.

This line specifically has to deal with your love life and what should be expected when

it comes to marriage, hence the title of the lines: the line of marriage. So, what

does line of marriage have to say about you.

1.

The Left Handed Line Is Higher.

If the line on your left hand is higher than the line on your right hand, then this means

that you are somewhat of a fighter when it comes to love.

You are the kind of person who adores a challenge whenever it presents itself.

2.The Right Handed Line Is Higher.

If the line on your right palm is higher than the one on your left hand, this usually means

that you are someone who has a very old soul.

You are the kind of person who might marry someone who is much older than you are and

are highly sought after by older people in general.

You also have a tendency of not playing by traditional rules whenever it comes to being

normal.

You prefer to have things a little off or a little bit stranger than what most people

are use too.

However, you also love seeing the kind of personalities that each individual can bring

to you and you dont like to beat around the bush when it comes to giving the truth.

3- Both Lines Are Perfectly Aligned.

If both of the lines on each of your palms align perfectly at the center, then this means

you are the kind of person who has one of the purest of hearts.

Gentle in every way possible, you give people a reason to have faith in humanity.

What with your good common sense and how sensitive you can be, you tend to be one of the most

amazing empathetic people that everyone seeks whenever they are feeling low about themselves.

When it comes to marriage, you are the kind of person who will marry someone that is accepted

by every single person you know.

However, you really have troubles for sudden changes throughout life but somehow find a

way to make it better.

Hopefully this guide has lead you in the right direction of figuring out what your true destiny

is.

what it reallt means o be spiritual - Duration: 6:12.

What It Really Means To Be Spiritual

We are all spiritual. Everyone. Everything. Whether you think you are or not.

There are many definitions of what it means to be spiritual. Some say spirituality is

measured by how deeply you love yourself and others say it is measured by your understanding

of oneness.

No matter how we define spirituality, at our core we are all spiritual. We are all spiritual

beings here to have a human experience.

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but are spiritual beings having

a human experience- Teilhard Chardin

In essence, being spiritual is about choosing to live your life as close to the true you

as possible. Being spiritual is essentially about accepting who you are, being yourself

and aligning with your soul truth.

This includes:

1. Being OK with who you are, negative thoughts and all.

Most spiritual practices put such an emphasis on positive thoughts and while this is great

for raising your vibration, negative thoughts have their place too.

Negative thoughts allow us to view the duality of life and allow us to also get to know our

weakness and our preferences. It is impossible to appreciate the light unless we have seen

the dark, so dont beat yourself up when you have negative thoughts.

You of course dont want negative thoughts to rule your life or dictate your actions,

but you dont want to squash them or feel guilty for them either.

The best way to deal with negative thoughts is to identify them, accept them and then

let them go. It is only when we dwell upon the negative or beat ourselves up about them,

that negative thoughts become a problem.

Remember, it is more important to be yourself than to fake positive. Own who you are,

and through acceptance, positivity is naturally born.

2. Laughing a lot, especially at yourself and not taking life so seriously.

We all fall into the trap of taking life seriously. Life was never meant to be taken so seriously,

honestly we all need to learn to lighten up!!

Life is really not as important as we make it out to be. While there is of course value

and purpose in being here, stressing and worrying about things is definitely not helpful.

Find the lightness in life, try to detach and relax- at the end of the day, life is

a journey, its a game that we all know the end to, so we might as well enjoy it.

3. Being proactive- if you dont like something, change it, if you cant change it, learn

to accept it.

We all have situations that come up in our lives that we dont like, but the beauty

is that for the most part we do have the power to change things, and if we cant change

things than we can surely change our outlook about them.

Life is not set in stone, life is constantly ebbing and flowing. To really enjoy life and

to experience connection we have to tap into the flow of the Universe and find a way to

be at peace with it.

Trying to control every aspect of your life is only going to lead to stress and disaster.

Know that you have the power to change things that you dont like, but start on the internal

first.

4. Learning how to identify ways that your soul speaks to you.

It is not difficult to learn the language of the soul; the soul speaks to us through

joy, happiness, laughter, peace, love and stillness.

When our soul is in agreement with how we are living our lives in the physical world

it feels passionate and excited, it feels motivated and at peace.

Many of us forget that this is really what life is all about, life is about finding the

things that bring us joy and make us feel at peace within ourselves.

Sure, life is not always going to present roses as we did sign up for the package deal

(thorns and all), but finding ways to bring more joy and passion into our lives is a necessity.

It doesnt have to be big either, make a list of all the things that you love to do-

big or small, and then start introducing them into your life one by one.

Joy is infectious, so the more you work on bringing it in, the bigger the momentum will

become.

5. Loving yourself and understanding your infinite connection to the Universe.

Do you want to feel your energy? Rub your hands together quickly for a 10-20 seconds

then slowly separate them. Do you feel the energy dancing between your palms?

We are all energy and we are all connected to everyone and everything in the Universe.

When you understand that you are really energy, suddenly it makes sense to view everything

in this world as vibration.

You are simply energy vibrating, you are simply the Universe expressing itself as human.

There is never going to be a way to absolutely understand our beings and the purpose of all

this as the purpose is forever growing. We live in an infinite Universe and our consciousness

is always expanding to new and unfathomable heights.

Without getting too caught up in all of that, the only way to put all of this into action

is to love. Love is the Universal connector, and though loving ourselves we instantly connect

into our source energy and the energy of those around us.

Self love is truly the most important spiritual practice because essentially, self love is

the honoring of the true self, the soul, the spirit that we all are.

The Last Post season one: What time is it on? How many episodes? Who's in it? - Duration: 3:14.

The Last Post season one: What time is it on? How many episodes? Who's in it?

How many episodes are in The Last Post season one? The Last Post will run for six episodes starting tonight (October 1) on One.

What is The Last Post about?  The wartime drama is written by BAFTA winner Peter Moffat and follows his childhood memories and his father's career as an officer in the Royal Military Police.

The series will also chronicle his mother's struggles as she tried to conform to the requirements of being an officer's wife.

What's more, the series will give viewers an insight into the extreme danger of army life in 1960s Yemen, as its central characters are exposed to deadly heat and bloodshed.   Who is in The Last Post? Jessica Raine.

Call The Midwife star Jessica Raine leads the all star cast as she branches away from her role as Jenny Lee in the nation's beloved medical drama.  Jessica stars as Alison Laithwaite, who struggles to play the doting wife to Lieutenant Ed Laithwaite.

She comes a dose of scandal and seduction as she cheats on her husband. The actress has also starred in Wolf Hall, Fortitude and Jericho.

Jessie Buckley  Jessie Buckley shot to fame when she came in second place on BBC talent series I'd Do Anything, which saw Andrew Lloyd Webber on the hunt for the next Nancy in his rendition of Oliver Twist.

She plays Honor Martin in The Last Post. Stephen Campbell Moore  . Stephen Campbell Moore stars as Alison's husband Ed Laithwaite, an outsider and a tortured soul.

His unconventional approach leads to resistance from the army.  Viewers may recognise Stephen from the Benedict Cumberbatch standalone drama The Child In Time, while he also starred in the 2006 film The History Boys.

Jeremy Neumark-Jones stars as the young Captain Joe Marton, a new arrival in the army.  The Last Post marks Jeremy's first break out role in television but he popped up in last year's BBC One drama One Of Us.

The Last Post airs Sundays on BBC One at 9pm.

Youtube daily game Oct 1 2017

hey guys sorry I missed last week I've been really busy but I'm looking forward

to talking to you today about Gerald's Game so the film just came out on

Netflix last night and it's directed by Mike Flanagan who's known for his horror

and thriller films like his original Oculus his most recent Ouija: Origin of

Evil and my personal favorite that's also available on Netflix Hush

so I first heard about this film from the YouTube trailer and was intrigued

because of Mike Flanagan directing as well as knowing it is based off Stephen

King's novel now I haven't read the novel myself and if you think I should

please let me know because when I saw this film I was kind of hoping to just

go into it blind as best I can and unlike what I did with IT that you know

I ended up reading the novel and watching the miniseries before seeing

the new film so really the only picture I had in mind was from the trailer which

did give away quite a bit that I knew a little bit had an idea of going in

here's my recommendation for you if you're gonna watch this film try to go

into it blind don't watch too much don't read too much if you're a fan of horror

thriller sort of maybe survival or just Stephen King novels in general I think

you'll dig this just keep in mind you know if you see the poster you're like

what is this some kind of like Fifty Shades of Grey thing no it's not like

that it has some elements of things maybe in there but very little and yeah

I'm just gonna stop talking and comparing it to that right now okay yeah

now I'll admit when I watch this film last night I was pretty tired so at some

point I did feel like I wanted it to wrap up even though it is not that long

of a movie there are parts where I was just getting tired and maybe I wasn't

really in the completely right mindset to watch it but I did enjoy it overall

and now that I've slept on it I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts

so the film stars Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood a couple who are on a little

kind of vacation to sort of spice things up in their love life and they end up

kind of going to this place where they can just have complete privacy and you

know see where things go and just try to rekindle what they've had in their

relationship we're introduced to a stray dog but other than that there aren't

that many other characters I won't spoil too much on that and because I really

want to keep as much of this a secret as I can to you guys if you're planning on

watching it but Flanagan wastes no time getting to the heart of the

matter here which is Jessie and Gerald Burlingame's relationship and how things

have kind of you know not worked out for a while there's a lot of tension and

there's a lot of things that these two are trying to hash out and figure out

now if you've seen the trailers you know

something is gonna happen to them I'm not gonna say exactly what it was but

that leads to pretty much the major plot here of which becomes a big sort of

survival story particularly for Jessie essentially she ends up being handcuffed

to a bed and she has to try to figure out how she got out of this situation

alive one thing I was excited to see which I

really didn't know was going to happen was some of the more psychological

elements Jessie becomes kind of hallucinogenic about a lot of different

things she starts seeing herself she starts seeing her husband and she even

starts to see some really mysterious looking figure which I won't really get

into too much because that's one of the more really intriguing things about this

film let's just say if that wasn't there I would call it mostly a thriller but

because of this it does lead into more horror elements oh and Carla Gugino is

really really good in this film I've enjoyed her throughout the years

there aren't a whole lot of movies I can pinpoint and say like oh yeah she was

really good in that or I remember her from this film but she is excellent

really brings her all in this film Bruce Greenwood is good as well however I just

didn't feel as connected to his character there are a lot of things

hinted early on and pretty much everything you see has a really

significant symbolism to it that you'll see there's some flashbacks there's a

lot of different parts that you're just gonna have to absorb and you might even

enjoy this film even more the second time around if you see it I

haven't seen it twice yet but I just have a feeling I'll like it more if I do

now to get into the things that I might have just had a small issue with and

again this could just be because I was tired it does feel like maybe throughout

the second act that it kind of drags a bit with some of the more the communication

that goes on you know the hallucinating you know Jessie talking to herself

talking to her husband all these sort of things happen and at one point I'm just

like alright you know when is this going to move along here but again I was

getting pretty sleepy at first I wasn't really sure if I wanted to review the

film but after sleeping on it and now that I've really absorbed it and I've

heard a lot of people have really enjoyed it so far too I think it is quite

a really interesting film that I hope most of you will go ahead and check out

there's a lot of really cool shots and scenes reflecting on an eclipse which is

something you don't hear about too much you know we hardly

ever see eclipses as it is so to see it portrayed in the film was really awesome

and I loved how they sort of contrasted the shots of how you would see an

eclipse with that deep dark red orange yellow kind of

color now this may just be me but I wouldn't say this is really like a film

that's really really gonna scare you I have heard people that have already

said that this might give them nightmares there are some pretty creepy

things I ended up watching it alone but maybe it's because I'm such a horror

buff it didn't hit me as hard as it could have however there is some really

really intense moments that I had to kind of almost look away or you know

close my eyes real briefly just so I didn't have to see some of that most of

those are kind of near the end so if you're you know if you're feeling the

movie you'll see it come in maybe but it's one of those things where you're

always wondering whether it's actually gonna happen and then okay yeah okay

maybe it actually will and then yeah this film also does a great job of kind

of subverting some of the horror tropes you see you know there's parts where I

was kind of concerned that like oh no I've seen this coming before I know

exactly what's gonna happen there and then I'm like oh okay that didn't happen

that's good I'm glad they decided to go in that route there's also a lot of

moments where you think something is what it is and then it might end up just

being a hallucination or there's a moment where you're gonna be like what

is that is that what I think it is and then you're not really sure for a long

time until it's finally revealed whether it is or it isn't so this film is really

kind of for the careful eye it's really for those of us that are gonna watch it

and keep looking for little instances and keeps thinking about it until it

gets answered later which I believe this film does answer the questions that it

brings up from what I've heard it stayed very true to the novel there are

some liberties and you know it's a Stephen King adaptation so there are

definitely some things that had to be changed I'm sure guess I'm gonna have to

look up some of that later especially after figuring out some of

those changes that they did IT because you know that yeah yeah I don't know

we'll see this is a film where you really start to get invested in the

title character and follow her journey here you can see her every day here

every moment every hour just getting more and more stressed dehydrated hungry

tired all that stuff and you really start to feel the pain that she's going

through so I appreciated that character investment because that's something in

horror movies that we really need more of nowadays and we're starting to get it

you know we have a lot of these up-and-coming filmmakers who are

starting to make a name for themselves and I just think this really needs to be

the case character driven films especially in horror is what makes

something like this really stand out so again Gerald's Game is a really

interesting film I hope many of you will give it a try and let me know if you

think I should give the book a chance because if it is pretty good I might

read it someday and hey I have a free audiobook credit so that might be

something Gerald's Game is a powerfully adapted survival tale that will shock

and surprise fans of Stephen King stories and that's why this film is a

Dyligent Pick so guys what are your thoughts on Gerald's Game are you

looking forward to checking it out soon have you read the book do you think I

should give it a chance let me know what are some of your other favorite Stephen

King stories that are worth checking out in the future also what other novels

from King do you think should be made into a film someday my name is Dylan and

if you love entertainment subscribe to my channel well this video ends and send

me a thumbs up before you go thanks for watching and stay diligent

Surprisingly addicting heroes are gonna go dart

Dart monkeys which I don't blame him dart. Monkeys especially if we get the trooper darts the super open the early rounds and

I

Believe he's the first time

I actually play this game on my channel so if you do like it to be sure leave me

I like I like maybe know if not you can just leave me a comment

I was like reading comments and let me know what other tours. You like me to use or strategies or whatever?

Just let me know okay

That's where right now. We just send him rats. I went to get my blue knee go up to at least 300 by around four

Come on come on. How is he holding on okay? Yeah? He had to boost oh

We want him to sell that farm. We don't if we got yeah

I want to go like him, but I don't want him to have that farm there

Don't really like that um. Okay so run forward. Let's try to get a 300 eco, please

Also, sorry of my thumb's in the way, I try to actually play this on my PC but under PC, DOS

It just didn't really work at all

So we're playing it here now as you see I go free hundred eco

And my man did our monkey our monkey right now is holding off pretty strong also

I'm doing these new channel trailer people. It's so this is super cool when it does come out your people are gonna

Love it

I got a lot of youtubers feature that isn't super funny and cool because um some announcements coming out

I don't know if they already came out or they will come out because you know timing and editing and yeah

Just pretty much. It's weird

Let's name some greens bunch of greens try to get my eco up to 400 maybe

Now these greens I do it. I get him pretty far away. I mean he has to start defending. Maybe sell the farm

That's what I want him to do any boost again the hold no

I'm raking him right now, but if we can get a 500 Bonanza eco

We will be okay, and as you see right now

He's go like three towers only half my dart monkey and my dart monkeys holding off just fine

I feel work more for us here because you also get the ones from the start and

Also will get the ones from when they go the whole way around so yeah

I'm just gonna go with ya blondie. So here his own double shot right now. He's not bleach yet, but we are gonna

Eventually upgrade him to blend jutsu

Um let's saying some bleed just

To see how he holds on he's got two dark monkeys one witch and he's building another farm. Oh

I don't want him to sell this farms and brush me super

Strongly I just ya don't

He doesn't up build another witch that's good

He's spending money that that's pretty good

And we end up getting the balloon jatin jit su su propia if you both ninja start start aren't that good

but when you get a balloon jutsu or the

Sabotage supply line there you wreck super strongly

Also, he cannot tell what makes you a pretty dick is a fanboy of this game. I like it a lot

Lightning is better than here, but it's too white and he hurts my eyes

So we're just gonna keep it kind of half of my face being dark and half of my face being white

Make sense make sense the same

Send some pinks try to get my eco up to 700 eco is super important people if you're new to the game

Try their site strategy

Like you really need to get your eco working eco super important part of the game

700 there we go and he upgraded to summon whirlwind okay, so we spending money they very very good

now I

Don't really like this free trio right there. I don't know we can call a trio. I want to sell these thar monkeys

But they're just so good. I don't really wanna

Why do I want to do here hmm

I guess we can get a dar monkey here and sell with the one I have there we can get actually two here, so

You little buddy. Thank you very much for your help your service has been very appreciated to my defense and

There we go

Should I get some whirlwind?

Yeah, why not somewhere when we go free to our monkeys we have good defense right now if you versus us with anything

If it's not I mean I think we could defend. I'm more of just one. I think we could if we I fibers of course

But if it does send us like two free we're done, and it's nearly round 19

I'm gonna try to kill him here

I don't really think I'm gonna go like him with this guy because he could get the spectre and

Yeah, it does. Just won't work for me, so let's try to rush him here

Let's try to get some more cash around 21 around 20. We're gonna same like for more apps is gonna be crazy

So let's be ready. Let's save up money for round 20. We got a gritty coming this match Hey, okay, it's getting darker

Jesus clouds were you so awesome clouds are awesome and

Yeah, I guess we rush him now should we I guess let's go one two three four let's go

There they go he has boosted it and over the first my bees down so I miss like I mean he's super quick

But there is two alive still and either gonna go through oh. He actually seems to be defending them quite. Well. Oh

There we go to ceramics

Are they gonna go for her? Oh?

He defended it

We're in trouble now because she knows now that I want to kill him and oh

Oh, we're in trouble

We're in trouble right now people I should have just saved up a bit more money

Okay, the same Sumiko try to get it back on our feet 600 okay that work

If he sends me some finish could be the end of us, okay, let's hope the dozen said anything. He just keeps building his

farms oh

No, I really thought that was gonna work, but okay

How about blend you find files in pubs Jesus bellowing Jesus is so LP and my ray which is not doing that bad?

anyways

Let's get another witch right here

There we go there we go monkey sense lightning

I don't think he'll defend us oMG. Let's just send him to red ones

I don't know their name actually I used to know their name, but I forgot

Let's send him to there we go one two

Least ourselves in case he decides to defend himself

Okay, this is my last attempt to kill him. There was a two

red ones the red ones like

Like you could say build with four blue ones. There's like they're a bit slower bus because they're dopey oh

He's upgraded to fili oh

Okay, this is intense right now

He upgraded his fire wait. I don't have his name right now, but oh

I'm actually scared right now. They actually seem to be going quite far away this might be the end of him

Ceramics seem to be going nearly fruit and this is

the wind

PICKUPS 14: Games + Hardware + Stuff + ShoutOuts | It's a Pixel THING - Ep. 128 - Duration: 24:02.

Hey, guys!

Welcome back to another pickups video!

So, in the last 60 days I managed some interesting stuff for my game room:

games,

books,

hardware,

you name it!

So, come along with me and enjoy the ride!

Let's take a look!

So, let's start with a few shoutouts, like

this amazing dust cover for my Amiga 600, that was a gift from Riggz

from Retro Protect.

Riggz makes dust covers for all sorts of consoles and computers, so, if you're interested,

just email him and he will get back to you with solutions for your own projects.

Thank you very much, Rigzz!

I absolutely love my dust cover!

Thank you so much!

Secondly, Andy Remic was kind enough - hugely kind - to send me a review copy of his latest film

"Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict".

It's a really well-made documentary about the amazing days of the ZX Spectrum that,

if you're a fan and if you grew up with the machine, it's a must have and must see!

If you haven't already seen my review,

click on the annotation and I'll also leave a link below in the description of this video

for everyone that is interested in grabbing a copy of this amazing documentary.

Please do!

In third, I have to thank Vitor, from the channel "Uncle Vitor",

for sending my way the physical release of DiRT Rally for PC.

He knows that I own the digital version of the game and that this one was the only one from

the series that I didn't have the physical release.

He kept the steam key for himself and kindly offered me the box and its contents!

Again, thank you so much, Vitor!

You rule!

Truly appreciate it!

And last, but not least, my friend from the channel "Kappa-Games", approached me

and ask if I owned the physical release of the very first Call of Duty!

Yeah! The very first Call of Duty!

I have all games that followed, but didn't owned that particular one.

So, here it is!

And still sealed!

Amazing stuff!

But, that wasn't all!

Along with Call of Duty came another older PC game: Soulbringer.

Kind'a obscure stuff to me...

Do you recall playing it back in around 2000?

It's from Infogrames.

This game, this Soulbringer game

that didn't get the attention it deserved back in 2000:

It was developed by Gremlin Graphics, a studio that was acquired by Infogrames

a year prior.

Kappa, thank you so much for your gesture!

Truly appreciated it!

The links for "Uncle Vitor" and "Kappa-Games" will be in the description below.

Check them out!

Jumping right into the PS4, You know that I've purchased through PlayAsia

Cursed Castilla, this cursed item

that it was held in customs here in Portugal for around three months and that I had to

pay an extra fee of 22 Euros.

So, instead of 30 Euros for the game, including shipping, I paid 52.

Check my dedicated video about that sort of curse that Cursed Castilla

brought into my life!

Besides that, this physical and exclusive PS4 release is freakin' amazing!

And, for all you guys out there that love Ghosts & Goblins and Ghouls & Ghosts, this

is a must have!

Highly addictive!

And, as they say,

"for the glory of the arcade times".

I've also picked up for the PS4 Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, that was an obvious pickup for me,

and... that also brought a digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

As I said, this was an obvious acquisition for me, 'cause, as you know, I absolutely love this style,

this genre!

Adventure, exploration and…

driving off-road!

This was one of the most enjoyable things to do in Uncharted 4, so I'm glad that

the driving around plays a major part in Lost Legacy!

The game is beautifully crafted and seems that Lara Croft has, now, a new and strong

contender!

Now, a title that I simply had to grab day one was BAJA: Edge of Control HD, for the PlayStation 4!

That was released in the 14th of September.

I pre-ordered it back in March and I'm having a blast with it!

It's nothing more than a facelift of the 2008 original for Xbox 360 and PS3, which

shows a significant step up in graphical richness, a renewed user interface and a new split screen

multiplayer mode up to 4 players simultaneously.

Not many titles have this feature nowadays.

I can only recommend it to everyone that enjoyed the Xbox 360 original and to PS3 owners that

always wanted to play Baja with smooth framerates.

I have all those versions, as you know

and I'm truly loving this new HD version / remaster

HD...

the other ones were HD! What the hell, man?

Baja: Edge of Control HD!

The original versions from 2008 were HD!

This was supposed to be Baja: Edge of Control Remaster not HD, ok?

Now, also for the PS4 and also a racing game / driving game

is WRC 7! What an amazing game this is!

And I just had to grab it day one!

The closer we got to its launch, more and more positive previews were popping out all

over the place.

And I must say that Kylotonn Games completely nailed it!

Graphically it's a beauty and extremely playable on the PS4, and I don't think that

the courses are that narrow.

It just feels right, you know?

Adds an extra boost in the realistic side of things!

And I love it for that!

And have I mentioned the Epic Stages?

No?

Well, prepare for a huge challenge, then!

On action packed stages, with 18 and over 20 kilometers long!

And flying through the Portuguese landscape is simply overwhelming!

Highly recommended and the best from the WRC franchise, no doubt!

Sorry, DiRT 4!

You're history!

Now, what we have here for the 360?

For instance, Alan Wake! This amazing Limited Collector's Edition!

So freakin' amazing! Check this out, man!

You're obviously familiar with this version!

Amazing stuff!

I already have American Nightmare on the PC, that came bundled with a magazine a few years

back, but never had the chance to grab the original.

So, instead of the normal release, I was lucky enough to get the Collector's Edition

of this game!

This beautiful Edition includes a few perks, like the soundtrack

in CD, a book titled "The Alan Wake Files", and also features a developer commentary,

besides other digital content for Xbox 360, like Avatar clothes and themes.

This game was on my wish list for far too long and I finally have it!

Awesome!

Another game that was on my wish list for, since it was announced was Max Payne 3.

Finally I have it in my hands!

I still haven't played it, but I know that my Brazilian brothers criticized

the São Paulo depiction within the game.

Rockstar painted it like Rio and that led to some unfavorable reactions from the Brazilian

specialized press and reviewers.

Rockstar even hired Portuguese actors, not Brazilian actors, to voice its characters!

Rockstar, please do your homework, first!

People will notice the fake accent!

Even so, I'm glad to finally have this one in my collection and I want to play it soon!

Now, let's jump right into a franchise that I'm absolutely loving, 'cause I've been

playing it, slowly playing it.

So, I'm completely immersed in Assassin's Creed III, 'cause I've been playing it

with Stereoscopic 3D support.

But, this time around, I managed to grab another title from this amazing series:

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Yeah, pirates are kind of fashionable these days, so it was the perfect time to pickup

Black Flag that seems to have inspired a couple games that are going to be released soon.

This one was launched back in 2013 and was criticized, by a couple of reviewers, that it was more

of a pirate game than an Assassin's Creed game, because of its high focus in the golden

era of Pirates.

Played just a bit of the beginning of this game and I was totally blown away by its fast

pacing that places us right in the middle of the action in just a few minutes!

Amazing stuff!

Can't wait to continue playing it!

Have still to finish the third chapter, though.

Also, I was finally able to get my hands on a copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the beginning

of the marvelous Arkham series!

This franchise had been kind of left aside, 'cause I wanted to start playing it with

this first entry in the series.

But, even so, I played, and loved, Arkham City and is simply one of my favorites on

the console, mainly 'cause Batman is also my favorite DC character!

I've heard so many great things about this first game, that ended up winning several

awards when it came out, around 2009.

I have, now, all 4 games of the main series, so I can now immerse myself into the dark

alleys of Gotham.

During this period, I also had the chance to get my hands on the very first…

not first, but...

On Dark Souls!

I know that there's Demon's Souls, exclusively for the PS3, prior to this one.

But that game is really hard to find at a good and acceptable price.

In the meanwhile, I'm trying to grab all the others from the series, including Bloodborne.

Miyazaki, the series creator, said that FromSoftware is moving forward to create new things

and not continue on making Souls and Bloodborne games.

I kind'a foresee a future without a Dark Souls 4.

As for Bloodborne, I guess that a second one will probably be announced soon.

What do you think?

Please share your thoughts below!

Travelling back to the 6th generation of consoles, and to the PS2 in particular,

I was able to grab:

Taito Legends! I love this type of compilations!

And this one was released back in 2005 and was also available for Xbox and PC.

It features a bunch of awesome Taito classics from the arcades, such as Space Invaders 1 and 2,

Elevator Action, Bubble Bobble, Operation Wolf and Thunderbolt, Rastan, Rainbow Islands

and The New Zealand Story, Continental Circus.

the amazing Plotting, one of my favorite arcades games, etc, etc, and etc!

A must have for all fans of the good old days of the arcades and these compilations are

always welcome in my collection.

Now, for the original Xbox, I was intrigued by Tetris Worlds

that I simply had to bring home!

And, you know what, I became totally addicted!

And it plays like a dream on the 360!

It's an early title on the Xbox's library, released in 2002 alongside the GameCube.

The PS2 version was released first and, prior to that one, Windows PCs and the Game Boy

Advance also had their own version of Tetris Worlds.

It features both a story and arcade modes, and this Xbox version, being the last to come

out, along with the one for the GameCube, has the "easy spin" feature disabled,

a feature that was highly criticized on all the other versions of the game that allowed

rotation of the pieces even after they had touched the bottom of the screen.

That's not Tetris, if you ask me!

So, if you're interested on getting also Tetris Worlds, grab the Xbox version or the

one for the GameCube.

Now, moving on to Hardware, you know that recently had the chance to get a Sinclair

ZX Spectrum 128K +3, in the box and in mint condition.

Well, sort of!

The disk drive wasn't reading the disks, 'cause the 29 years old belt melted completely.

It's a normal thing to happen.

And, as you also know, ordered a new belt and brought the Speccy back to life!

It can now happily read the also 29 years old 3-inch disks!

So happy that it turned out ok!

I'm now thinking on getting a DivIDE thing.

What do you think?

I'm curious to know what you guys have to say about that...

Now, and to improve my PC setting to be able to continue to bring more awesome stuff

for you guys to watch,

I've purchased a new monitor:

an HP monitor,

this beast, this 27 inch monitor from HP,

model... model....

27es, yeah!

27es that you can see in action back there, the one... that one

is the 27 inch,

and this one, from this side,

is my old 22

21,5... 22 inch, 22 inch

HP also.

It's ultra-slick, really slim, LED IPS monitor with one VGA and two HDMI inputs.

So, I didn't want to spend money on a 144Hz screen, yes, it's a 60Hz panel.

I'm not a professional PC gamer and my specs are just average.

Nowadays I use my PC essentially to capture and to put the show together, so as for this HP,

I'm really impressed by the image quality and, again, to work with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop

and Corel Draw is freakin' amazing!

So crisp and clear!

I'm loving it!

Even so, played a couple of games on it they look awesome as well!

It's not 4K also, only Full HD 1080p, and I went to HP 'cause it's a brand that

I trust and they work flawlessly and super quick when things go wrong under warranty.

As said, my old 22-inch monitor is also an HP and is now next to the new one to support me when I'm producing

my videos.

So, expect more awesome stuff in the future from It's a Pixel THING!

Talking about HP, a friend gave me this old PC...

that I'm... it's really heavy stuff!

Yeah, that

most of you will recognize this design

yeah, this was really popular back

back in the XP, Windows XP days!

with all these ports and, yeah!

All this stuff!

This is a drive bay, for an HD.. an HDD, Hard Disk Drive.

A DVD-ROM, another DVD-ROM

and a card reader!

Awesome!

Awesome stuff!

I'm loosing...

I'm loosing screws!

Not me! The computer!

So, he gave me this old PC that will bring memories for many of you, 'cause it was a model, or a

sort of template, for practically every single HP back in the Windows XP glory days!

So, I will restore this particular model exclusively for XP Gaming.

I already have a DOS machine that will play games from the 80s 'til mid-90s, and another

that plays late 90s 'til early 2000s.

This one will play stuff 'til around 2007/2008, and probably beyond that.

Have yet to figure out what components I have to get to make it as fast as possible for

an XP machine.

Guess I'm gonna check Phil, from PhilsComputerLab!

He's such a cool dude with so many awesome ideas and a complete encyclopedia when it

comes to building computers from scratch!

By the way, check his channel!

He's one of my favorites in all of YouTube!

For last, some random stuff, like:

"The Story of the Commodore Amiga in Pixels", by Chris Wilkins and Roger M. Kean!

Yeah, Chris Wilkins is such an amazing dude!

And Roger Kean was the one behind Crash Magazine!

So, I've backed through Kickstarter project back in 2016.

Arrived a couple weeks back, and is so awesomely well written, as usual!

You can't go wrong with Chris Wilkins!

He always delivers amazing stuff for all of us, children of the 70s and 80s!

Superb quality in all respects, the writing, paper, the printing quality, the perks…

Talking about perks, and besides the book in PDF format also, it came with this

Amiga pin and pen, and an audio CD with 10 iconic tunes composed by David Whittaker

for a handful of Amiga games, now reimagined by the awesome Allister Brimble.

Gorgeous stuff to listen!

This whole package is highly recommended to all Amiga fans!

Talking about books and, why not, magazines

I also managed to grab the number 65

of PushStart magazine, the Portuguese retrogaming magazine,

and this one features an article, written by myself, about Ocean Software.

Besides that article, there's a lot other even more impressive articles to read, like

the one about the ill-fated CDTV, and another from the history of the amazing Commodore 64.

The link to order this issue will be in the description below.

Another shoutout that I simply have to send is to Miguel Freitas that developed a Kodi

add-on dedicated to It's a Pixel THING.

This is highly useful for viewers that only uses Kodi through a TV set for all sorts of

media content, and the YouTube add-on can be really painful to navigate.

With this exclusive add-on, you'll be taken directly to all my videos and playlists.

Thanks for your work and dedication, Miguel!

Truly appreciate it!

Also, and along with the release of DiRT 4 back in June,

this Crash Kings compilation came bundled with the game!

It was sent later due to lack of stock, but now I have it!

I was always a fan of this sort of compilations and I have a bunch in my collection,

in my DVD collection!

And finally, to conclude, I've created, in

a sort of secrecy, a second channel exclusively to store all the raw gameplay footage that

I capture for my main show.

I was starting to have huge storage problems, 'cause I simply didn't want to get rid

of the tons of hours that I capture while gaming for the videos that I create for Pixel

THING's main channel.

So, instead of spending over a hundred euros on a 3 or 4 terabyte hard disk, I decided

to create "Pixel THING Plays!", not only to upload that raw no commentary footage,

but also do occasional live streams in Portuguese and other different stuff that don't belong

in the main channel.

If you want to follow Pixel THING Plays, feel free to subscribe.

The link to the channel will also be in the description below!

Guys, that's it!

Thank you so much for sticking around 'til the end!

My latest episode about "Barbarian the Ultimate Warrior" brought a ton of new subscribers

to the channel, so, to all of you that are now starting to follow It's a Pixel THING,

please browse the channel, 'cause, there's a ton of history videos

just like the Barbarian one!

While you're at it, click on that bell icon so that you're notified when a new video

is uploaded!

And I highly recommend that you start by watching

my Lucasfilm/LucasArts 1 hour and 22 minutes documentary!

Or, why not, my 1 hour-long retrospective on the first 20 years of E3!

Either way, thank you so much for watching and…

I'll see you all in the next episode!

FB: Samford Post-Game Interviews (The Citadel) - Duration: 6:13.

"Well, Citadel's a tough one, but you guys got it today.

You've got to be ecstatic."

Hatcher "Well, I really am and um I'm excited.

And you know after the first couple of wins this season I was more relieved and that's

not the way you've got to coach and that's not the way you've got to play.

Our strength coach did a great job this week.

He got the game ball, of getting the team to go out and have a good time and play football

like we're capable of playing.

And that was the difference in the game.

We hit them with some big plays early um, that Coach Callaway drew up and it was just

a matter of calling them and we did.

Defensively you know, boy we played, we just out physicaled them and again I keep saying

that's the strength of our team and offensively we found some weapons today.

You know Yassar made a big play.

It wasn't an easy one.

TD made a big play.

We just had guys stepping up when we needed to and um I couldn't be more proud of the

O-Line offensively.

Um and then we had two injuries early in the week with Roland Adams and Treyvon Paulk and

had to move Montrell Washington from receiver to running back.

And then big Mo, we already moved him from receiver to running back and boy they ran

the ball well.

Justin Curry came in and finished it off, made some big runs.

But the defense that's where you win games and if our defense can play that consistent

for the rest of the year we're going to be a force to be reckoned with.

But probably when you get beat on the road like we did last week, self-doubt creeps in,

you know and maybe we thought we were a little better than we really were.

But I think we've got a good team and today we came out and we were firing on all cylinders.

Ya know second half it was kind of we just it was field position, milk the clock, play

defense and one of those types of games, but it was exciting and boy you beat that team

like we did today, we out-physicaled them and I don't think too many teams can say they

out-physicaled The Citadel."

"Is this one of those games, one of those wins that can really pivot a team and really

start making that, it's not a final run, but boy, really get them juiced for that next

half of the season."

Hatcher: "Oh there's no questions about it.

I hate to say must-win but with the place our team was in this week um you know I hate

to say a game is ever a must-win, but it was pretty close to being a must-win for us, just

psychologically.

Hopefully, that will bring a lot more pep, get our confidence up.

But guys stepped up and made plays today and it was really good to see and that was a win

I'm going to savor all night."

"And lastly to do it on Family Weekend.

You saw Bulldog Walk always a juiced atmosphere here that has to feel good."

Hatcher "Well, I wish we had that every weekend at the home games.

But it was outstanding.

I actually took a little time and walked around the tents a little bit.

And it was good, I think that juice and our students have been outstanding all season

long as you well know I mean those guys stayed through the three-and-a-half hour delay on

game one, so they're behind us.

We put a good show on and we'll enjoy this one tonight and then see where we go from

there."

"Well, Citadel's just one of those pesky option teams.

Just talk about the mentality going into this game and what motivated you to stop them like

you did."

Ahmad Gooden "Well really man we had a great game plan by Coach D. Attitude.

Bouncing back from last week's loss.

Keep emphasizing the fact that we have to have a killer instinct.

Often teams are going to get some good plays, but we just have to be a grittier defense.

We just have to set the tone out there.

Just keep time of possession down get off the field."

"Talk about y'all keep coming back and coming back.

They held the ball probably 35 minutes.

How did you guys keep the energy up and not get tired?"

Gooden "Just all eleven guys on defense pumping each other up at all times.

You know, the team gets a good play, a good team like Citadel they're going to get a big

play, but it's just all of those eleven guys out there just keeping each other up.

Keeping the tempo up, keeping the juice up ya know?

We know things like that are going to happen but it's we're depending on ourselves to bounce

back and make a stop."

"Those fourth down stops, how critical were those for you guys?"

Gooden "Very critical.

That was a game-changer right there.

And um knowing that we can get one right there on the goal line you know that really just

brought out the best in us what we're really capable of."

"What does it mean to get this big win against Citadel which is always a tough one?"

Devlin Hodges "I mean it's huge.

Last week we didn't play to the best of our ability and we learned a lot from last week

and just to come back and ya know beat the 11th ranked team in the country, it's a huge

win and we came out with a lot of energy and I'm just so proud of the guys in all phases."

"Just tell me about that start.

Boy, 28 points right off the bat"

Hodges "I mean yeah, coach put a good game plan in for us.

Everybody bought into the game-plan and we just came out with some juice and it's just

nice to see ya know everyone making plays and those young guys running the ball real

good.

I'm so proud of the guys.

I mean what a great day."

"Talk about your defense.

Boy holding Citadel to 14."

Hodges "Aw, that's huge I mean, Citadel.

That's one of those teams that's going to run the clock down and get some yards.

I don't know how many yards they had, but it seemed like they didn't have no more than

a hundred.

And that's huge to stop a triple-option team like that.

I'm so proud of them and our offense.

We came out and scored for those guys and the defense was stopping those guys for us.

So just, team chemistry was big, I'm just proud of everyone."

"What can a win like this do for you guys moving forward?"

Hodges "I mean, you know, definitely gives us motivation, but at the end of the week

it's come out each week and facing a different opponent.

A faceless opponent, so each week you've got to come out and our goal is to be 1-and-0.

Definitely a lot of confidence when you beat a big team like that and we've just got to

keep on with it."

"How about to do it on Family Weekend?

Always one of our biggest crowds and one of our biggest weekends of the year?"

Hodges "Yes, I mean it's great.

We had a great crowd and it's just good to ya know perform well when those families come

in."

My Two Cents: Fuck Video Games - Duration: 4:25.

Fuck Video Games Ehem

I don't mean to diss games. If my other video essays haven't made it clear, I kinda

enjoy them. What I'm sick of is the term "video game" itself. There is the ceaseless

conversation between people about the boundaries for which some piece of software falls into

the tag "video game" and it all looks so pointless to me. As KingK said in his now

unlisted video "Edith Finch and the Way We Consume Games": "At the end of the

day, the label of game means absolutely nothing. It's what we as a society have arbitrarily

chosen to represent a particular artform." He is absolutely right. Language is symbols

attempting to approximately translate some physical object or mental construction from

one person to another. It's all contrived, and it's all imperfect. But where KingK

went on to attempt to define what a game is in spite of the statement I quoted, I just

want to say: "who gives a shit what a game is?"

The term "game," or really any artistic tag, finds its true use as a marketing tool.

The only stake in calling Gone Home a "game" is being able to place it alongside titles

on Steam or GOG. I admit in that sense, the term has been helpful. My eyes were on the

more conventional titles, and these minimalist experimental games caught me in the periphery.

But now they've been found, and won't be leaving these marketplaces within which

they've established themselves. So the need to really define what they are is a useless

effort to me. Honestly, Edith Finch might not be a game.

After an arduous and futile fight with my own devil's advocate, I now can accept that

possibility. But this distinction does not mean that whatever Edith Finch and its ilk

should be called are lesser than a traditional game. No medium is worth more or less than

any other. And no combination of mediums is worth more or less than any other.

I say this because I want to bring up a certain aesthetic philosophy that I subscribe to that

is a drastic reinterpretation of the art conversation that I've seen commonly held online. This

philosophy, introduced to me by Mike Rugnetta in the PBS Idea Channel video "What is ~A

E S T H E T I C~ Experience?" is one where "art" is not an object with inherent meaning

and beauty, but is an experience between a specific observer, the culture they inhabit,

and an object with which they discover beauty and meaning. This can mean basically any object

an intelligent being created can be "experienced artfully" as I'll say. To borrow language

from the linguist Louise Rosenblatt, the transaction between observer and object is art, and not

the object itself. From a materialist perspective which essentially believes that all meaning

is a collaborative and artificial construction, this fits the framework really well.

With this being the case, then it doesn't matter if a piece is wholly interactive, has

a win state, has cutscenes sprinkled in, involves long codex calls, or is just comprised of

words with still images. As long as a person takes into consideration all of its objective

disparate parts (all of the things which it is observabley comprised of) and creates meaning

there, then "art" has been experienced. There is a video by the YouTuber Whats With

Games that suggests the game Journey isn't a good enough example of game's showcasing

their capabilities as an artform. I understand the sentiment; we've already seen the written

and visual mediums be art through their specific traits and we want to see interactivity pushed

to its fullest potential. But the use of interactivity as narrative is not a better way of telling

a story or making meaning, it is simply a different way. Looking down on a game like

Journey for not being what you wish it would be is, I feel, a pointless and overall detrimental

perspective. You don't have to like Journey, or any Walking Simulator or Visual Novel or

Metal Gear Solid 4, but to posit that the artistic appreciation they induce is lesser

than traditional games is to misunderstand and disrespect the idea of art itself.

But, that's just my Two Cents
