THAT IS DISASTROUS NEWS IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE CORE

PRINCIPLES OF AMERICA.

IMAGINE IF IT WAS A DIFFERENT RELIGION.

INSTEAD OF CHRISTIANITY, IT WAS ISLAM AND THEYíRE LIKE NO.

ALL OF THE CABINET OFFICIALS ARE MEETING WITH THEIR LEADER AND HEíS

JBL Pulse 3 Vs Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus Which 360 Degree Speaker Is Right For You? - Duration: 8:42.

So, you're looking for a speaker with 360 degree sound.

Should you get the brand new JBL Pulse 3 that has a built in light show or should you go

with the elegant and refined Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus?

Or do you just want to know which of these 2 360 degree speakers sound better?

The JBL Pulse 3 is the newer of these two products and retails for $200.

It comes in two color ways, black or white.

The Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus was released back in spring and retails for $300.

It also comes in two color ways, black or silver.

Theres also the smaller Bose Soundlink Revolve that retails for $200.

It dosnt get as loud as the Revolve Plus and battery life is a little shorter.

and I'll keep them updated so you can get the best deals possible.

I was very impressed when i first reviewed the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus.

Its brushed aluminum body just gives it this presence and elegance that can easily make

it the center piece of your living room.

This design is what i imagined the Apple Homepod would look like.

It even has a carry handle which makes life a little easier.

And theres also a contact patch on the bottom for Bose's charging cradle.

The JBL Pulse 3 on the other hand uses plastic and has a nylon mesh weave bottom portion.

Obviously these two products are aimed to two completely different demographics.

The Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus is aimed to the older crowd that wants an elegant looking

speaker while the JBL Pulse 3 is geared towards a younger crowd that wants to take it with

them every where and have a light show with their music.

The JBL Pulse 3 has that classic cylindrical design you can expect from JBL and its portable

speakers.

The Majority of the device is hard plastic that houses the light show and the bottom

portion which houses the drivers is wrapped in a nylon mesh weave.

And both end caps are made out of soft touch rubber which give the Pulse 3 a good amount

of grip.

There are passive radiators on the top and bottom of the device, and there are controls

on the back.

You can control your music playback (except go back a track), adjust the volume, answer

or end calls, activate siri by pressing and holding the triangle, and pair another JBL

connect plus enabled speaker with the pulse 3 with the tap of one button.

Theres also a fuel gauge so you can see your current battery status at a glance and under

the rubber grommet you will find a micro USB port for charging and an Aux Jack.

The Bose Sound Link Revolve Plus also has a cylindrical shape to it.

The bottom portion has milled holes which just looks fantastic and just like the Pulse

3 has soft touch rubber on either end caps which gives it a good amount of grip.

The controls on the Sound Link Revolve can be found on the top of the device.

You can do everything the JBL Pulse 3 can do except you can actually go back a track

by triple pressing the multifunction button.

Unfortunately pairing another Bose Speaker with the SoundLink Revolve Plus isn't as easy

as the Pulse, but I'll go into that later.

But the Bose logo on top does serve as an NFC touch point for easy pairing if you have

an android device.

But unfortunately the Bose doesn't have a battery gauge so theres always a sense of

uncertainty when you power up the device unless you check the battery status on your phone

or have voice prompts turned on and personally I'm not a fan of the voice prompts so i

always turn them off.

If you have watched any of my other JBL Pulse 3 videos you might know by now that i really

wish the Pulse 3 had textured buttons.

The new button layout on the Pulse 3 is an improvement from the JBL pulse 2 but its not

as easy to know what button you're pressing without looking like the Bose Soundlink Revolve

plus.

You still have to memorize the button layout on the Bose, but since the buttons are indented

a little its easier to know what you're pressing.

Concerning specs, the JBL Pulse 3 is using bluetooth 4.2 it can be paired to two devices

at the same time and range is at around 70 feet.

The Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus is also using bluetooth 4.2 and can also be paired to two

devices at the same time but range is much shorter at only 30 feet.

And the connection starts to struggle if you have multiple walls between the Bose and your

phone.

The JBL Pulse 3 on the other hand is able to keep a strong connection through more walls

than the Bose.

Battery life is also very different between these two devices.

Bose advertises a battery life of 16 hours on the SoundLink Revolve Plus but really I

usually get a battery life of around eight or ten hours.

The JBL Pulse 3 on the other hand advertises a battery life of 12 hours but in my testing

I've managed to get close to 13 hours of playback with the light feature turned on

and 15 hours of playback with the light feature turned off.

The JBL Pulse 3 has the better battery life here but just by a couple of hours.

Both of these devices are fairly durable but if you are too rough on either one they will

get scratched.

But in my testing i have noticed the Bose shows scratches faster than the Pulse 3.

The Bose Soundlink revolve plus is IPX 4 certified so it'll be fine if it gets a little splashed

but the JBL Pulse 3 is IPX 7 certified.

So the Pulse 3 can get splashed or submerged in water and it will be just fine.

It even floats in water and keeps playing music with out any issues.

On the other hand i wouldn't dare submerge the Bose underwater and risk its internals.

Alright now lets talk about sound quality.

Like I've said in previous videos the JBL Pulse 3 is a really good sounding speaker.

It has a good amount of bass to it, the Miss and highs are very clear, it has a very wide

sound stage, theres a good amount of depth to the sound and theres very little sound

distortion at higher volumes.

The Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus on the other hand does manage to get a little louder and

has more bass than the Pulse 3 but the over all listening experience isn't as good.

The problem with the Bose is that the sound is too forward and it dosnt have as much depth

or instrument separation as the pulse 3.

The highs do tend to crash from time to time at higher volumes and I feel the vocals can

sound a little nasally sometimes.

Im really trying to not play favorites here but if i had to pick one I would go with the

JBL pulse 3.

Like i mentioned earlier the JBL Pulse 3 has JBL Connect Plus.

This means you can pair up to 100 JBL Connect plus enabled devices like the Pulse 3 or Flip

4 and have them play music simoutanlesly.

Obviously you're not going to pair 100 JBL speakers together but you can pair for example

3 or 5 speakers together and fill a larger area with music.

Or if you have 2 JBL Pulse 3's you can pair them together to play music in stereo mode

and even sync up the Light shows together.

And you can do all of this with the press of a single button on each speaker.

Bose on the other hand is much more limited.

You can pair two Bose Soundlink Speakers together and have them play in party mode or in stereo

mode like the JBL but you cant connect any more devices to my knowledge.

But paring 2 bose devices is easy from the Bose Connect App but it not as easy if you're

trying to pair them by just using the onboard buttons on top.

You have to remember certain button press combinations and hold them down for a few

seconds and repeat the process on your second bose speaker.

JBL's connect app also allows you to play with the light feature of your Pulse 3.

For starters you can adjust the brightness and obviously the brightness of the light

feature will play a roll in the speaker's battery life.

You can also cycle through the different light settings.

They all flash to the beat of your music but they each do so a little differently.

Theres wave, Jet, explosion, equalizer, Rave, Rainbow, fire, and you can even make you're

own.

And you can change the color of each setting either through color matching with your camera

or you can use the color wheel.

JBL's App is very well laid out and I've never really had an issues with it.

But one thing i really like about Bose's connect app is that i can remotely activate

But i have noticed if i turn off my Bose with a full battery and come back 3 or 4 days later

and turn it on the battery is severely depleted.

So does having the remote on feature means the bose is in a low power mode when its supposed

to be turned off?

Is having a shorter standby time worth having the remote on feature to you?

light feature obviously isn't the deciding factor.

When it comes to the overall design the Bose is elegant while the Pulse 3 is fun.

But when it comes to sound quality i have to give it to the JBL Pulse 3.

Like i said the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus has more bass and gets a little louder but

there isn't as much instrument separation and everything just sounds like its to forward.

Not to mention the Pulse 3 has a slightly better battery life even with the light feature

turned on and its slightly more durable.

an advertised APR, which stands for annual percentage rate.

Just go with the one that has the lowest APR.

But you can't compare them at face value.

The APR represents a combination of things.

The interest rate, yeah, but also a wide range of additional costs.

And if you're looking at an adjustable rate mortgage the APR doesn't even tell you what

your maximum interest rate will be.

Look, mortgages come in two basic types: fixed rate and adjustable rate,

also known as variable rate.

In a fixed-rate mortgage, the interest rate is set when you take out the loan

The following month, because your outstanding balance is now $149,664,

the interest portion of your monthly payment will also be slightly lower

and the principal portion will be slightly higher.

So looking at the entire stretch, even though a big chunk of my monthly payments are going

towards interest at the start, over time that kind of flip-flops.

And by the end, more of my payment is going towards principal than towards interest.

Now you're getting it!

Using this example, after 25 years, you will have made over $213,000 in payments on your

$150,000 loan.

Whoa!

That's serious.

All the more reason to know exactly what you're getting into before signing everything.

People get into trouble by committing to mortgages they don't understand.

It happened to a friend of mine.

There are three forward gears and reverse.

Kurogane proved to be very effective during the war in North China, as I said it doesn't

need any water and it was a great advantage, cause there was a shortage of water at that

war scene.

The vehicle has a very simple and reliable design, a very efficient and swift military

atv, it met all the demands of that time but as you know it was not enough for Japan to

avoid a defeat in the Second world war.

Nowadays it is the rarest vehicle, only three cars in good shape are known in the world.

Horch 930 was produced in Germany in 1937.

At that time Germany was preparing for the war, so this model is designed to be more

practical not luxurious.

It is equipped with V8 engine 3.8 l capacity and 92 hp.

The weight is about two tons and maximum speed is very decent for that time 100 miles per

hour.

Even today Horch is a beautiful car and for that time it was a real masterpiece, the design

is so strict and clear, simple lines, big windows this car was very successful with

consumers.

Also it has a luxurious interior, huge comfortable seats, a lot of space, and even in standard

version this Horch was equipped with radio!

Moreover it has another luxurious option - it is a washing stand.

I am not kidding – a real wasing stand was built into right side of the body.

The car had every chances to become very popular throughout the world, but these chances were

ruined by the second world war.

The factory where this vehicles were produced was eliminated by numerous bombings!

And this is a military version – Horch 901.

This model was produced since 1937.

The main parts were taken from a civilian model, that we have just seen.

The main difference is that the military version has a four wheel drive with dif lock.

There is an interesting fact – The commander in chief of USSR Army Ghukov used this vehicle

that had been captured in German embassy in 1943.

And he stated that this Horch was one of the best atv of The second world war.

Not only Ghukov but even british prime-minister Cherchill greatly appreciated this vehicle.

It proved to be very reliable, heavy-duty and simple and it could move in toughest conditions.

The car has the same engine as civilian model – V8 92 hp, maximum speed 70 miles per hour.

Nowadays it is almost impossible to find this Horch in such a perfect condition, there are

less than 10 units remained in the world.

T-38 – the lightest amphibian tank from USSR.

This tank firstly was produced in 1935.

It is a very stocky but wide machine and such solution resulted in the fact that this tank

can quite steadily float.

This tank has an advanced suspension system that provides quite decent maximum speed about

30 miles per hour.

The weapon is 7.62 caliber machine gun.

The engine is four cylinder 3.8 l capacity 40 hp.

Side clutch system.

The weight is slightly more than 3 tons.

A special propeller is used to move on water.

It is interesting that it was one of the first tanks where the welding started to be used

in construction.

By the way in 1935 when this tank was firstly produced there was no any analogs in the world!

At the show there were almost all the models of motorcycles that took part in the SWW.

You could meet there such bikes as legendary bmw and the rarest japan military bike, but

this german Kettenkrad I think is the most interesting moto atv at the exhibition.

This is the lightest tracked atv, it is a very manevaruable vehicle which was perfectly

This atv can be turned both by a front wheel and by a side clutch.

As a result of its offroading features this atv was the only vehicle that could successfully

move in winter and spring when it was the severest terrain conditions in Russia.

This armored vehicle is called FAI-M, it is advanced Russian machine was produced on the

base of civilian vehicle GAZ.

It is equipped with the 50 horsepower engine.

It is a rather heavy car, so it could be used only in town on good roads, and it immediately

gets stuck on offroad.

But on the other hand it has quite a decent armor that can save people sitting inside

from bullets and shell fragments.

Unfortunately these vehicles could easily be damaged by a more serious weapon, besides

they were not quick enough to survive any tough battle.

That is why Russian military government decided not to produce on the line this machine.

And it was made just about three hundred units, so nowadays this model is extremely rare to

be come across.

T-70 – ussr light tank of the second world war.

Firstly it was produced in 1941.

The weight is 9 tons.

It has an advanced armor, 45 mm cannon, and double 12 cylinders engine.

Total power is 140 hp and it allowed to accelerate the machine up to 30 miles per hour.

Many of these tanks took part in the severest battles in 1942.

But then they were replaced by more advanced models and by the end of the war it remained

just few of them.

The rarest French four wheel drive vehicle Latil M7T1.

Firstly it was produced in 1938.

This is a multipurpose military atv, it could be used for scouting and for towing light

cannons.

It can carry five people and additional cargo.

The vehicle is equipped with four cylinder engine 2,7 l capacity and 50 horsepower.

Also it has advanced 8-gears transmission with differential lock and independent suspension

system of all the wheels.

Very powerful hydraulic brakes, decent ground clearance and 50 miles per hour maximum speed

– all these features make this vehicle one of the best light military machines at that

time.

It was made up to 1945, the total amount of produced vehicles is about 900 units, but

just very few of them could be seen nowadays in such a great condition.

Half-truck M5 – Heavy American ATV of the second world war it was being produced since

1940 till 1945.

During the war many of this machines were supplied by USA to the American allies.

This atv proved to be very effective and reliable it is very interesting that some countries

had used these vehicles in their armies up to 2007.

It has an armor that can protect from bullets, the thickness of the steel is 6 mm.

And there is a 13 mm steel in front of the vehicle that protects a driver and a car commander.

It is equipped with 6 cylinders engine 6 l capacity and 141 hp.

The maximum speed is about 50 miles per hour.

There is four gears transmission and low mode for cross country moving.

The weapon is 12.7 mm machinegun mounted behind the cabin and 7.62 mm machinegun mounted from

behind the vehicle.

And this is a legendary german light tank – Panzer Kampfwagen.

It has a front armor 14,5 mm and its weigh is almost 9 tons.

The thickness of the armor is the same at all the sides so it can protect only from

bullets and shell fragments.

The engine is Maybach 6 cylinders 7 l capacity, power is 140 hp.

The maximum speed is 30 miles per hour.

Fuel consumption is about 90 l for 70 miles.

There is a six gears transmission.

The weapon is 20 mm automatic cannon and a machinegun 7.62 mm.

The crew is three people: commander-gunlayer, a scout and a driver.

Now you see Japan light tank Ha-Go.

This machine was produced in 1935 by Mitsubishi company.

The weapon is mounted in the middle of the body it is 37 mm cannon.

This is Ford F-60 . It is an American military atv truck.

It is equipped with 8 cylinders engine, 4 l capacity and 95 horsepower.

It is a full drive vehicle that can deal with a rather serious offroad.

There is an interesting story about this particular vehicle.

During the war it was captured many times.

Firstly it was captured by german forces in 1942, then it was sent to Italy where this

vehicle took part in battles.

After that it was transferred to the east front where it was retaken by soviet union

forces.

In this way this machine served almost for all the sides of the Second world war.

And it is hard to believe but even today this truck is in great condition and it is ready

to be used at any time.

And this menacing machine is considered as the most effective tank killer of the SWW.

It is a german self-propelled cannon that was used to shoot enemy tanks from the long

distance.

It was produced in 1940 and soon it proved to be a very effective in battles.

It has 150 mm cannon, that can cope with most tanks of that time.

The vehicle is equipped with 6 cylinders engine, 3,5 l capacity and 70 horsepower.

It is a tracked atv so it was possible to move on offroad and maximum speed is 20 miles

per hour.

The crew is two people – a driver and a gun layer.

The cabin is open so it is possible to leave the vehicle at any moment and this feature

saved a lot of people during the battles.

At present it is the rarest vehicle, it is known only one machine in good condition,

and this machine you see now on your screens.

Renault 31R.

It is so called tankette, it was used mainly for towing different cannons and other cargoes.

But many of these machines served for civilian purposes in the police and even as tractors.

It has 9 mm armor, and 4 cylinders engine 2 l capacity, 35 hp that provides 30 miles

per hour maximum speed.

The weight is about two tons and loading capacity 400 kg This particular vehicle was captured

by soviet army.

And there is nothing more to say but now it is very difficult to find this model in such

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's romance has the Duke of Cambridge's seal of approval,

as proven in a statement released on Saturday, November 26.

Prince William has taken it upon himself to set the record straight on what he thinks

about the young red-headed prince's decision to defend his new love from the scorn she

has received from the public after reports had surfaced earlier this month that the Duke

had disapproved of his younger brother's actions.

"The Duke of Cambridge absolutely understands the situation concerning privacy and supports

the need for Prince Harry to support those closest to him," a spokesperson from Kensington

Palace said, according to Us Weekly.

An aide from the Palace added: "A statement like this would not have been released with

The Duke first being consulted."

It must be said that both Prince William and Prince Harry have the same media advisers.

Therefore, both of them are likely to be consulted about matters, be it professionally or personally,

that might affect the both of them.

A royal source explained that the Duke was "alarmed" like anybody else about the situation

and eventually agreed with his younger brother, who felt the need to take action after the

situation had gone too far, according to The Telegraph.

Speculations about whether or not Prince Harry and Markle were officially a couple have been

going on for months.

It was only earlier this month when the 32-year-old royal went on to defend the 35-year-old "Suits"

actress from the "wave of abuse and harassment" she and her family had received online that

The Torch: Day 13 - What does Deaf-Centric mean? - Duration: 20:22.

See the person signing. You would think he

signs and the speaking follows him.

But no, the announcer speaks first, and then

the sign language interpreter follows. Why?

The question is-- at Deaflympics-- what does Deaf-centric mean?

Well, in 1924 at the first Deaflympics in

Paris, France, everyone was Deaf.

Deaf people worked together and organized everything.

Deaf people attended the events, competed with each

other, and although everyone was Deaf, it was small.

Over time, Deaf people continued to organize the

games with different Deaf sports federations, pulling in

more Deaf people.

However, times have changed.

Why? What changed?

Did Deaf people change? No, Deaf people are

the same… but the numbers of participants have changed.

In the old days, the numbers of athletes

were in the 100's.

There were perhaps 10 to 20 countries participating.

Now, we have over 3,000 athletes.

Three thousand.

We also have more sports. We had 5,

8, or 10 sports, and now we have

21 sport categories.

I see more athletes here together.

For the first time ever, we have the

Deaf [Athlete] Village, and we can meet each other.

That is a start, and we will see

more in the future-- being together and interacting.

So, Turkey confirmed in 2011 to host Summer Deaflympics 2017.

Turkey Deaf Sports Federation is small, and it

is impossible to bring in enough Deaf people

to fill in all roles for organizing Deaflympics.

We must bring in hearing people.

It is different…

I want to back up to 2001 in Rome.

I think it was the first time there

were more hearing people organizing Deaflympics-- not fully

taking over Deaflympics but still pushing aside Deaf

people to have smaller responsibilities.

I saw that in 2001.

Denmark in 1997 also had some examples of

this, but Denmark is a small country with

limited number of Deaf people.

Italy had a lot more Deaf people who

could have worked in Deaflympics but did not.

Hearing people assumed they knew best and took

over. The Deaf community allowed that to happen.

In 2005 Australia hosted Deaflympics.

Deaf people were very involved, but they struggled

with funding.

They asked their government for sponsorship.

The Australian government agreed to give millions of

dollars, but because it was a lot of

money, they did not trust Deaf people's knowledge,

budgeting, and organizational skills.

They brought in hearing people, and then many

more hearing people.

Hearing people took over authority.

Australia's government has clear requirements for qualifications to

work in government, which includes a University degree.

Not many Deaf people in Australia have a degree.

Most do not have a degree, so it

was impossible for them to work in 2005.

I was the ICSD President at that time.

I refused to accept this-- with my American

perspective, I know Deaf people must be at the center.

I debated with the Australian government, asking them

why they excluded Deaf people and hired hearing people.

They responded saying that hearing people were better

qualified with their degrees-- Deaf people had no degrees.

I said No.

There must be a Deaf person working with

a hearing person-- partnered and sharing responsibilities equally.

Mentorship. Not Deaf people working under hearing people.

The government was hesitant, not believing that it was possible.

They asked where Deaf people were.

I knew some Deaf people in Australia and

reached out and brought them in.

Hearing people were surprised to learn so much

from Deaf people.

Deaf people know how Deaf people communicate, and

what Deaf needs and ways are.

Hearing people learned about Deaf ways of being--

from cheering to embracing visual communication modes and signing.

All of the little details that the hearing

people did not think of.

After Deaflympics 2005 finished, the government realized that

there were many qualified Deaf individuals and offered

them full-time jobs!

After 2005.

If this did not happen, the government would

continue to think that Deaf people were not

as smart or capable.

The same is with Taipei in 2009.

I worked with their government-- I met with

the President of Taipei Taiwan… the President, like

our Obama or Trump, the President, Ma [Ying-jeou].

During our conversation, I told him that the

expectations for Deaf people must be raised.

The attention must be on Deaf people, not

hearing organizers.

President Ma was receptive, interested in improving human rights.

This is Deaflympics, give Deaf people the opportunity

to grow and prosper.

Taiwan agreed, and brought in many Deaf employees,

working on everything from transportation, making passes, and

organizing sport complexes.

One person-- Kang, from Taiwan, was unknown/hidden, but

we saw potential in him.

I told the organizers that I wanted Kang

to be more involved.

They did not know him, but brought him on board.

Now Kang is a successful man.

We must bring in Deaf people-- it is

possible for Deaf people to work in different

branches of organizing.

Now here in Turkey… it is different.

I see how it is organized and feel

deeply about how hearing people think of Deaf

people--*gesturing like they need help.*

They keep Deaf people in their place and rise in their rank.

Not much communication.

--high up. Almost impossible to be grouped together.

All under him and have their own responsibilities,

both Deaf and hearing.

The Delegator is hearing, and he reports to

OC [Organizing Committee].

Turkey Deaf Sports Federation is separate from this

schema, and we work with OC and the government.

OC is focused on sports-- organizing everything for

the games, including medals.

We are separate.

It is the same with hearing IOC.

At the recent games at Brazil, there are

no hearing sports federation involved, and OC's job

is to organize the games following IOC rules.

It is the same here.

The OC in Turkey is responsible for transportation,

services, lodging-- all set up under OC.

Why? Why?

Deaf… he could not hear. Deaf.

Broken communication. *trying to resolve situation, moving on*

Deaf people back down, "respecting" this treatment.

I do not think this is right.

I encourage them… but it is their culture.

Turkey is different. Here, I see more Turkish pride.

Turkey flags.

Turkey wants to show hearing people at IOC--

the Olympics--

You know Turkey has been wanting to host

Olympics at Istanbul.

IOC has been resistant because Turkey does not

follow some of their human rights requirements.

IOC declined Turkey's bid, and Turkey has taken

on Deaflympics to show the world that Turkey

is a great place.

In the past Turkey has bid for Olympics

and Paralympics and failed.

Now with Deaflympics, perhaps it was their ulterior

motive for this to happen? --No… perhaps, no.--

or was the idea of hosting Deaflympics Turkey's idea or yours?

It was not their idea.

It was Turkey Deaf Sports Federation's idea to

host Deaflympics.

Each place is different.

The understanding of Deaf at the Center here

is different-- I still face barriers as a

Deaf person here in Turkey.

I hope that at the next Deaflympics in

four years, it will be different.

More Deaf at the center-- led by Deaf and for Deaf.

At the Opening Ceremony I was thrilled.

There were a lot of people-- stadium was full.

On the stage were two hearing people making

the announcements, and behind them was a huge

screen showing two interpreters.

This is Deaflympics, the speaking should follow signing--

not the other way around-- could be more

Deaf centric.

Missed opportunity.

Same thing with the ICSD President's speech.

The screen that showed his signing cut away

to show a drone flying over the stadium,

so Deaf people missed what he was saying.

Definitely not Deaf centered.

Turkey wants to raise their standards to surpass Taipei.

I think they did with media, filming the

stadium and games-- it is very good, better than Taipei....

But, the program, like what you see here

on the field-- Taipei was full of action.

Turkey's field did not have people, and the

music and dancing on the stage is really

for hearing people.

It is a hearing program. I did not

enjoy it as much as I did at Taipei.

However, Turkey raised standards, so I think it is good, overall.

Deaflympics' organizing and planning--who has the authority? Hearing people?

Yes.

Not Deaf?

No. Each of us have our own roles.

If Deaf people are demanding, it becomes a

problem.

If we are flexible, it is all good.

Flexibility is important, and here we do not

have serious problems and they organize the programs.

Without them, we would not accomplish.

We must have hearing people on board with

Deaf people, working with each other.

Disability activism author James Charlton wrote in his

book "Nothing about us without us" that people

with disabilities know what is best for them.

Progress, Deaf people must be involved/lead constantly.

Deaf at the center means first recognizing sign

language as an equal and valid (official) language.

Deaf first means written language, English or Turkish

does not matter as much as knowing Sign Language.

No criticism to hearing people. No.

Hearing people can find work anywhere. Hearing people get paid.

Deaf people volunteer. Limited experience, opportunity.

Deaf world, beautiful.

Hearing people want a part of it, join

us, sign, respect us, push us forward through society.

Deaflympics belongs to us.

Our language, sign language.

I went in and the security guard came

up to me, speaking.

I could not understand.

I tried signing and looking for an interpreter,

but it did not work.

Wow. The bleachers are full of hearing Turkish people.

Broken communication.

Different things were said. Confusing.

Deaf schools are closing.

More are mainstreamed.

It is the same all over the world.

Hearing perspective and Deaf perspective is different.

Behind me is the Metro Detention Center. If you're arrested in the city of Albuquerque you go to this jail.

In 2014 there were over

3,000 inmates in the MDC. Now there are less than

1,100. What happens when you let out 2,000 people out of jail? Well crime goes up in the city of Albuquerque.

In fact the data shows there's a direct correlation between the reduction in population of this jail and the increase in crime in Albuquerque.

All because of a massive reform effort by our criminal court system.

Where the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled and put in place new policies that you can bypass

bond and go to pretrial services, and if you're called low-level nonviolent, then you could qualify for

bypassing bond. The problem is almost everyone is called

Low-level nonviolent.

See the courts replaced a good system of

bondsman, a bonding industry where bondsman come along law enforcement and hold people accountable

With pretrial services where nobody is accountable. What can a Mayor do?

about this problem, about a broken criminal court system? Well I want you to know that

I'll do everything in my power as Mayor to hold this broken Criminal Court system accountable.

We'll work together with the DA, the district attorney, to make sure that we have enough prosecutors.

We'll work together with the legislature and make sure those prosecutors are not

handcuffed and limited by impossible timelines for gathering evidence.

And we can change this.

I'll make sure as mayor that we do our part as a city. That we put 1200 police officers on the streets of Albuquerque

doing community policing - smart and intelligent policing - and that we have those officer's backs, that we make sure that they're well

led and well-paid and well-trained. That they have everything that they need to be able to do their job.

And I will prioritize in our budgets the ability to be able to pay for those police officers.

To make sure that we keep them till 20 years and we keep the best officers at 25 years. We can change this

but I cant do it without your help. I want to invite you to join this movement.

We will make Albuquerque the worst place to be a criminal.

We will not be defined by crime.

We'll be defined as the best place to work, the best place to live, the best place to raise a family.

In today's video I want to talk about 4th Offense OUI Charges.

My name is Michael DelSignore, I'm Massachusetts OUI Lawyer.

I handle these cases throughout Massachusetts.

Now, if you're charged with 4th Offense and you've been through this before . The difference

between you know you have 2nd , 3rd offense is that on the 4th offense you could potentially

be held as a danger to the community and held for a 120 days without bail.

On your first court date, one be prepared to have bail money.

Let's say minimum bail on a 4th offense would be a 1000$ certainly 2500$ it's not

unreasonable, it could even be higher depending on how long ago your other offenses were in,

whether you showed up for court and all those offenses.

A Dangerousness Hearing means that the Government will have to produce witnesses or testimonies

about the underlined facts.

So the benefits of that is we'll get a little discovery, we get to cross examine the officer

prior to trial however if you're held, you're held for 120 days without bail.

Now, there's 2 problems to the Dangerousness Hearing 1.

they're going to show a probable cause but 2.

they're going to show that no conditions of release can assure the safety of the public.

So typically, what will happen is if you're not held and one of the arguments we would

make is that you can be placed on a Sobrietor , your license obviously will be suspended

but it could only be suspended for 30 days if you took the Breath Test.

But if you refused, you're looking at a lifetime suspension on a 4th Offense.

But there will probably a condition from the judge if there's a breath test that he can't

drive during the pendency of the case, other condition would be random alcohol screening

and potentially a Sobrietor as well.

So that's what you're looking at.

The first court date 4th offense, it's not going to be a routine date , it's not going

to be in and out entry guilty or not guilty plea but there probably will be a hearing

to determine to whether you should be released under what conditions.

Now once that's done then in terms of fighting the case the issues are the same.

We're going to 1.

look to see can we get the Breath Test knocked out challenge the field test and what other

evidences there in order to show that you aren't impaired by alcohol.

It's a very high standard to convict somebody of a crime, they're going to prove it beyond

reasonable doubt to a near moral certitude.

So one thing we do is look to see how we fight the underline case.

Secondly we'll look can they prove all those underline prior convictions.

In some cases on a 4th Offense maybe the DA would agree to a reduction, it's possible

they would reduce all the way to a second to avoid any jail time or they might only

reduce it to a third offense.

minimum year jail sentence of trial or work out some sort of plea agreement to a lesser

charge.

The license loss will still bet the same.

We're still looking at a 10 year license loss regardless of whether the charge is reduced.
