What You Don't Know About Me (and the 1 Vital Lesson I have Learned) - Duration: 4:07.
a number of people have contacted me about a particular blog posts that I
wrote there a few weeks ago and I published it on my website business and
legal that ie it's called what you don't know about me
and the one vital lesson that I've learned in the last thirty years
whatever
it's resonated with quite a few people under to say people have contacted me
and thanked me for writing it because they could relate to what I was saying
in US and they could relate to the lesson that I actually leaned or what I
was writing about so I'm gonna put a link underneath this video and you can
go and have a look at yourself for it essentially it describes how my ups and
downs such as were from starting out in business in 1986 when I was a very young
man I was 23 and how I ended up practically losing everything in 2008 or
9 or whenever the property market crashed because I essentially was very
heavily invested in the property market I was building at the time building
apartments and when the tide goes out you discover the tide goes out and is
really no fighting it and it wiped me out and worked out everything right
ironed and made before that allowed my capital was very very frightening time
but I've written the blog post as I say what you don't know about me the roses
and I held onto it and I didn't publish it for a number of months because I was
reluctant when you read it you'll see why and those who looked at what people
would think and so on but people a lot of people have come back to me and
thanked me for writing isn't have tied me for well they're able to relate to it
now in the article as well they actually speak about an incident or a meeting
that I had with somebody way back in 1980
seven or 1980s the person that I met back then who report young we were both
struggling we were both calling from the same sort of background that person is
probably one of the best known business people in the country and you will
immediately recognize who it is when you read the article but I think you'll find
it useful because after starting out in business in 1986 kind of very young age
as a sales 23 and looking us everything going belly-up ten years ago and the
property market crashed I learned quite a bit and I learnt as much I suppose
from the failure and the pitfalls and the downfall and the losing of
everything and with the property market as I learnt in the previous 25 years or
so what's one lesson of all that I've learned and I'm not gonna spoilers now
I'll let you read the article you'll see for yourself you may and may not agree
but it's something that you can put into effect you can learn from put into
effect in your life if you're having a bad time or if you have ups and downs
and that's phases if you have a heartbeat you have ups and downs because
in everyday life that's just the nature of us and that's the nature of the
struggle so I hope you find it useful as to say it's called what you don't know
about me and won't fight a lesson that I've learned and I'm going to put a link
down below underneath this video so that you can click through and have a read of
us and let me know what you think about it in the comments below also if you
find this video useful you might give it a thumbs up down below and you may be
interested if just the first time you've seen a video of mine in subscribing to

What is the difference between being unattached and not having interest? (Subtitles: EN-PT-NL) - Duration: 2:13.
"What is the difference between being unattached and not having interest?"
Having attachment
it means to grasp at something
and not want to let it go.
We want it to continue as we think it is,
and we don't want to get separated from it by any means.
Seeing the meaning of something, connecting to something it means
that we give value to it that we recognize its qualities,
we recognize its functions, okay?
It's possible
to see the benefits of something
to connect with something; it can be a person, it can be a place,
it can be an object, it can be anything.
We see that it's good for us,
we create a positive relation with it a positive interdependence,
but at the same time we have no attachment to it,
which means that we do accept deeply that it is impermanent
we do accept deeply that at some point
it's not going to be anymore as it is right now.
So what does it mean to connect
with no attachment?
It means I enjoy as much as I can
while it is there
because I know that at some point it will change
and in the moment that it changes and it's not there anymore
instead of being upset
I rejoice that it was there.
That's the main difference.
Because when we are attached to something,
when it's gone, we suffer a lot.
So non-attachment doesn't mean no interest.
Non-attachment means not grasping at things
hoping it will never change.
Non-attachment means to accept impermanence
to relate with reality as it is, always changing,
but at the same time by having interesting things
by seeing their qualities by understanding
the positive interaction that we can have with things.

What surprised you most about prison? - Duration: 1:40.
How quickly it became normal to walk through the prison gates. How much time
you actually get to do things that aren't really scary. There's not as much
aggression as I was expecting. It's actually a really human environment, in
fact I would say I have a laugh with the guys without doubt every single day. How
cheerful it can be at times it isn't always a fight, there isn't always
tension. I expected to come into an environment that was kind of chaotic and
fights and assaults and abuse and the reality was so so different. Of
course you have a few worries when you first start that's completely normal but
those go away quite quickly when you realise that the day-to-day is very easy
to get comfortable with and becomes enjoyable very quickly. So what's most
surprising for me is actually being able to enjoy my job
as much as I do. You can have a lot of fun and have a laugh with other staff
members and with prisoners and that definitely helps you to deal with the
more challenging aspects of the job. The amount of aggression I was expecting has
actually changed to 'these guys, these prisoners, just need our help'
and whether that's help in talking to them because they feel down and they're
missing their children or whether it's help through getting them into some sort of
education course. When you imagine a prison you don't necessarily imagine it
as just a place full of people. It's surreal and it's strange and it's
unusual, but it's just full of humans and I think the humanity that I found here
is what surprised me most in staff and in prisoners alike.

we are live welcome to the day one journey episode 33 part 14 of
Marcus body coding story my story about marcus body coding
last episode I finally shared with you my second ridiculous dream about Marcus
body coding what I'm planning to do with it so very short recap
I'm going to create the biggest video archive video
library of dance tutorials footwork... focusing on footwork
body isolation and spins but last episode I emphasized that
this is relevant for all kinds of dances it's not just Salsa it's not just
hip-hop because we are it's the same body it's the same two legs and now I
want to add some more ridiculous stuff into that dream and again I remind you
all will be for free always free will be for free and for ever for free and I
already shared with you the reasons why I'm doing that because this is who I am
but back to the ridiculous stuff some more ridiculous stuff are you ready?
so I already shared with you Marcus body coding is a language it's a language
and up to this date what you have in the YouTube channel is the words I have
families of words Cross family Cross-Tap family Heal Complicado family we have
families of words - words like one bar or two bars one eight count of two eight
count these are just words but I'm going to create sentences and then I'm going
to create paragraphs and this will be choreographies I'm gonna code these
choreographies but everything will be made from the same words so you better
start working on these footworks because we're going to use them
we're gonna use them in all these choreographies we're gonna use them
again and again and again because these are the basics these are the
fundamentals all the Kick family the Tap family the Cross-Tap family and these
choreographies now I'm I'm hearing something yeah I know what I hear all my
friends that I told you like three episodes ago and they told me and they
asked me why do you do it? and they were truly asking how much how much can you
earn through that? they assume I do it for the money
but they were wrong but now I hear them whispering to me: "okay now you have
choreographies now we have choreographies so you can sell them you
can upsell them.." No! they will all be for free open source open source
choreographies yeah open source choreographies it's a language Marcus
body coding is a language if I want as much people to use that language to help
them I want as much people to use that language so I open it to everybody open
source the same concept and idea why Android is open source yeah I'm thinking
more like Google than Microsoft I don't sell my windows I open source my Android

the idea enjoy this wonderful day I meanwhile that's the sunrise

you have some lost dreams some ridiculous dream that you are afraid to
even think about it. think about it give yourself the opportunity to just feel it
and I have one question for you if you have something in mind and if you
don't if you wanted to have something in mind how would that feel like to be
living that dream think about it give it 2,3,5 minutes even write it on
the journal on your journal or just a piece of paper record yourself in your phone
how it would feel like I'm not asking you how you're gonna do it how it's not
the how is not your business right now I'm just asking one question how it
would feel like how much energy will it give you and until tomorrow do that
till tomorrow and until tomorrow

CNN's Jim Acosta 'Asks' Trump, 'What You Really Mean Is That You're a White Nationalist' - Duration: 2:24.
latest news president Donald Trump defined nationalism for CNN reporter Jim
Acosta in the White House Tuesday saying that he's so proud of our country mr
president just to follow up on your comments about being a nationalist there
is a concern that you are sending coded language or a dog whistle to some
Americans out there that what you really mean is that you're a white nationalist
Jim Acosta asked in the Oval Office I've never even heard that I can't imagine
that Trump said I've never heard that theory about being a nationalist Trump
also said I am very proud of our country we cannot continue to allow what's
happened to our country to continue happening we can't let it happen so I'm
proud I'm proud of our country and I am a nationalist it's a word that hasn't
been used too much some people use it but I'm very proud I think it should be
brought back all I want our country is to be treated well to be treated with
respect for many years other countries that are allies of ours so-called allies
they have not treated our country fairly so in that sense I am absolutely a
nationalist and I'm proud of it the president also told Acosta this question
comes after Trump enthusiastically called himself a nationalist at a rally
in Texas Monday a globalist is a person that wants the globe to do well frankly
not caring about our country so much the president said you know what I am I'm a
nationalist okay a nationalist use that word Acosta as usual took to his Twitter
to recap what just happened for his followers I also asked Trump about the
nationalist label he has given himself he brushed off the notion that this
means he is a white nationalist he said in part

Some studies show that one-third of women will experience a major depressive episode in their lifetime
Depression is different from sadness or grief
bereavement
The death of a loved one loss of a job or the ending of a relationship are difficult experiences for a person to endure it
Is normal for feelings of sadness or grief to develop in response to such situation?
Those experiencing loss often might describe themselves as being depressed
But being sad is not the same as having depression
The grieving process is natural and unique to each individual and shares some of the same features of depression
Both grief and depression may involve intense sadness and withdrawal from usual activities
They are also different in important ways in grief painful feelings come in waves
often intermixed with positive memories of the deceased in
Major depression mood and or interest pleasure are decreased for most of two weeks in
grief

Co-exist the grief is more severe and lasts longer than grief without depression
Despite some overlap between grief and depression. They are different
distinguishing between them can help people get the help support or treatment they need
risk factors for depression
Depression can affect anyone even a person who appears to live in relatively ideal circumstances
several factors can play a role in depression
Biochemistry differences in certain chemicals in the brain may contribute to symptoms of depression
genetics depression can run in families
For example, if one identical twin has depression the other has a 70% chance of having the illness sometime in life
Personality people with low self-esteem who are easily overwhelmed by stress or who are generally
Pessimistic appear to be more likely to experience depression
Environmental factors continuous exposure to violence neglect abuse or poverty may make some people more vulnerable to depression
How is depression treated?
Depression is among the most treatable of mental disorders
Between 80% and 90% of people depression eventually respond well to treatment
Almost all patients gained some relief from their symptoms
Before a diagnosis or treatment a health professional should conduct a thorough diagnostic evaluation
Including an interview and possibly a physical examination in
Some cases a blood test might be done to make sure the depression is not due to a medical condition like a thyroid problem
The evaluation is to identify specific symptoms medical and family history
cultural factors and environmental factors to arrive at a diagnosis and plan a course of action
Medication brain chemistry may contribute to an individual's depression and may factor into their treatment
for this reason
Antidepressants might be prescribed to help modify one's brain chemistry. These medications are not sedatives uppers or tranquilizers
They are not habit-forming
generally antidepressant medications have no stimulating effect on people not experiencing depression and to depressants may produce some
improvement within the first week or two of use
full benefits may not be seen for two to three months if
A patient feels little or no improvement after several weeks
His for her psychiatrist can alter the dose of the medication or at or substitute another antidepressant in
Some situations other psychotropic medications may be helpful
It is important to let your doctor know if a medication does not work or if you experience side effects
Psychiatrists usually recommend that patients continue to take medication for six or more months after symptoms have improved
Longer-term maintenance treatment may be suggested to decrease the risk of future episodes for certain people at high risk
psychotherapy
Psychotherapy or talk therapy is sometimes used alone for treatment of mild depression for moderate to severe depression
Psychotherapy is often used in along with antidepressant medications
Cognitive behavioral therapy CBT has been found to be effective in treating depression
CBT is a form of therapy focused on the present and problem-solving
CBT helps a person to recognize distorted thinking and then change behaviors and thinking
Psychotherapy may involve only the individual but it can include others
For example family or couples therapy can help address issues within these close relationships
group therapy involves people with similar illnesses
Depending on the severity of the depression
Treatment can take a few weeks or much longer in many cases
Significant improvement can be made in 10 to 15 sessions
electroconvulsive therapy ECT
Is a medical treatment most commonly used for patients with severe major depression or bipolar disorder who have not responded to other treatments
it involves a brief electrical stimulation of the brain while the patient is under anesthesia a
Patient typically receives ECT two to three times a week for a total of six to twelve treatments
Ect has been used since the 1940s and many years of research have led to major improvements
it is usually managed by a team of trained medical professionals including a psychiatrist an
anesthesiologist and a nurse or physician assistant

What is Civil Engineering? - Duration: 4:21.
So Civil Engineering, what is it?
A lot people think its architecture, well kind of, but really they work together,
the architects work on the artistic and creative feel of the design
and the Civil Engineer work on bringing this to life.
So let's get into it, there are three main roles as a Civil Engineer.
The designer,
The contractor,
and the client representative.
Okay, so the designer, it's in the name really.
With calculations, standards and design software such as AutoCAD.
Designers can visualise the end structure whilst also pushing boundaries
with new and exciting innovations.
But it's not all about building mind blowing sky scrapers
like The Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world by the way.
Sometimes designer's work in areas you least expect them to.
How about designing a water slide in an theme park. Sounds simple doesn't it?
Let's consider the problems that need to be resolved.
They need to ensure the waterslide can withstand
the weight of the riders, the force of the wind blowing on it and of course the rushing water,
because without no water there is no ride, and what would be the fun in that!
Next is the Contractor, they turn the plans of a designer into reality.
They are responsible for attaining materials, equipment, and labour
all required to carry of projects in accordance
with budgets, time schedules and safety regulations.
Do these names mean anything to you?
Pacific Bridge Company, Barrett & Hilp, McClintic-Marshall Corporation
These are just some of the contractors who united together to build
the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
A massive 1.7 mile long suspension bridge, that weighs over 800,000 tonnes,
whilst also being able to withstand 90mph winds and magnitude 8 earthquakes.
Last but by no means the least, the Client representative, what do they do?
Let's think of it this way, if the designers are composers who write music
and the contractors are musicians then
the client's representatives are conductors of the orchestra.
They ensure the project does not deviate from the client's vision by solving any issues on site,
between, the designer, the contractor and anyone else for that matter.
Modern Civil Engineering is a broad field that comprises of various types of engineers
each specializing in different types of construction
Did you know gusts of 100 miles per hour have been recorded near the top of The Shard,
the tallest building in Western Europe?
So how is the iconic tower still standing?
It's all down to Structural engineers, these guys analyse how such structures can hold up to
environmental factors like floods, winds and earthquakes.
Here's another problem, You're in Tokyo Japan you need to get to Shinjuku from Shibuya
in ten minutes flat, it takes 50 minutes by foot and 14 minutes by car, what do you do?
You get on the Tokyo metro of course and get there in 7 minutes flat!
You have the transportation engineers to thank for
such a Super-fast, super-punctual, super-everything railway system!
And these engineers don't stop there, they are also responsible for, highways, ports,
airfields in fact anything involved with getting from A to B.
Sometimes what many think is impossible is actually possible.
Imagine a dam that could hold back a 500 ft deep, 10 trillion gallon reservoir.
Well there is such a Dam, The Hoover Dam,
built in 1936 and is still here today as a source of fresh water,
electricity and not to mention a top tourist attraction
with more than a million visitors each year!
This is just the tip of the iceberg, there are thousands of projects across the globe
that civil engineers have been getting stuck into.
See with engineering, you can leave a legacy,
you never know, you could help build the next wonder of the world
or even design the next shuttle to space,
yes engineers get involved with everything!!
