Youtube daily was Oct 3 2018

NBA 2K has been a successful basketball game for years and I don't

see it falling off in terms of popularity anytime soon it's the best

basketball game on the market right now graphically and gameplay wise of course

you are going to have people that say the game has fell off and it hasn't

been what it was in the past but those opinions still don't take away from the

game's popularity and that it's still the best basketball game on the market and

on the other hand MLB 2K is the opposite and never garnered the same

success as NBA 2K has and MLB 2K was actually discontinued back in 2013 in a

few seconds I'll get into why MLB 2K hasn't been able to be as successful as NBA 2K but

before I start this video I'd like to say very close friends of mine created

an Instagram page to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease so if you are

a person that is suffering from the disease or knows someone that is don't be

afraid to follow their Instagram page fight against ad and to share yours or

someone else's story and if you are new to my channel and not subscribed make

sure to subscribe because I drop basketball videos and I cover different

topics of the NBA and the MLB as well even though this video is a little bit

different from what I usually make and don't forget to hit the notification

button to get notified whenever I drop a video if you are subscribed already once

again it's 3rdEyeView195 coming at you with another video STAY TUNED!

In this video we'll be looking at marketing the games overall and 2K's

Competition including sales I'll also be dealing with the years 2005

until 2013 and I actually won't be going beyond this timeframe because

that's the timeframe MLB 2K was born and died under 2K the company so it

wouldn't be fair to go beyond this timeframe when comparing the two sports

series against each other you'll see why number one history and marketing so

before we get into the marketing I'm going to go into a little bit of history

about 2K which will merge its way smoothly into the marketing you'll see

there's a reason why I'm bringing it up 2K was founded on January the 24th

back in 2005 after they purchased Visual Concepts, Kush games and the intellectual

property of the 2K sports game series as well Sega used to release sporting

titles under the name Sega Sports from 1999 until 2004 until 2K purchased

everything from Sega for approximately 24 million U.S. dollars this is how 2K

came into existence and 2K has been receiving commercial success since then

and has been around for almost 14 years now there used to be baseball games that

would release and on the cover it would say 2K for example World Series

Baseball 2K2 and 2K3 and ESPN Major League Baseball 2K4 but it actually

has nothing to do with the company 2K it was just to represent that the game came

out in the 2000s this is the meaning of the K before the 2 as you can see on

the screen and you can see on the covers it says Sega on it as well

this is when MLB 2K was born now under the company 2K and how ironic it was

birthed the same year 2K was founded and the first installment we would get would

be MLB 2K5 which was released on the Xbox on February the 23rd back in 2005

and two released five days later on the PlayStation 2 the cover athlete for MLB

2K5 was Derek Jeter who is retired later that year 2K would go on to

release the World Series Edition for MLB 2K5 during the MLB postseason the

World Series Edition included more features like a MLB produced DVD that

highlights some of the greatest World Series moments in MLB history and there

was a new game mode included called the World Series championship moments

mode where you had the chance to relive the greatest World Series moments in MLB

history or rewrite history similar to the Michael Jordan challenge

back in NBA 2K11 for example one of the challenges was 69 points the challenge

took you back to March the 28th in 1990 where the Chicago Bulls versed the

Cleveland Cavaliers in the Richfield Coliseum and you had to score 69 points

or more and shoot 50% or better from the field with Michael Jordan and win the

game and then you would win the challenge if you completed these things

NBA 2K11 had a total of 10 Jordan challenges so you can see that MLB 2K

was going in the right direction and the game was getting good ratings in its

earlier days last decade but MLB 2K started to fall off

not too long after this here's one reason why 2K would go on to release 8

more games in the MLB 2K series after MLB 2K5 but the series was discontinued

back in 2013 but here's the thing in my opinion 2K never marketed the MLB series

as good as they did with the NBA 2K series and that's why to me the MLB 2K

series flopped I mean yeah they had commercials and the games were also

mentioned on social media but that still wasn't enough here's an example back in

2008 sometime during June 2K sports would partner with Tencent to release an

online version of NBA 2K so the fans in China had the opportunity to play the

video game from that time on NBA 2K has spread throughout other markets in

other Asian countries 2K even release another online version titled

NBA 2K online 2 earlier this year for the Asian markets again so this goes to show

that 2K marketed the NBA 2K series better than the MLB 2K series because

they gave more effort for the NBA 2K series and

this is one of the reasons why the NBA 2K series was always more successful

than the MLB 2K series this was a smart move from 2K because even the NBA

partnered with Tencent and now the NBA has become the most popular sports

league to watch in China so this gives what I'm saying more validity after the

release of MLB 2k13 2K released a spin-off game called pro baseball 2K in

South Korea back in May 2013 it was a flop they should have tried doing

something like this earlier on for MLB 2K but at this time it was too late

number 2 customer engagement yes this is a form of marketing but there's a reason

why I never had it as number 1 and I decided to isolate it and make it number

2 but another thing that 2K did better for the NBA 2K series that they didn't

do for the MLB 2K series is have customer engagement if you don't know

what customer engagement is here's the definition customer engagement is a

business communication connection between an external stakeholder which

would be a consumer for example and an organization a company or brand for an

example through various channels of Correspondence for example this can be a

reaction interaction effect which is overall customer experience and this is

exactly what 2K did with the NBA 2K series they allowed us to interact with

them because back in 2009 2K allowed us to actually choose the cover for NBA

2K10 on 2Ksports.com so NBA 2K fans had the choice to vote for four

different covers of their choice one choice was to vote for where Kobe leaped

and leaned to make a pass on the cover as you can see and the other choice was to

choose for Kobe driving to the basket and the third choice was to choose Kobe

tugging on the LA Lakers Jersey symbolizing him accomplishing something

on the court or fourth him tugging on the New York Knicks jersey instead of

the Lakers Jersey but in the end the one where he was tugging on the LA Lakers

Jersey would win by votes and that became the official cover for NBA 2K10

fans never got the chance to do this with MLB 2K at all and this is another

reason why I think the MLB 2K series wasn't as successful as the NBA

2K series because there wasn't much interaction with the MLB 2K fans like

there is with the NBA 2K fans and customer engagement is very important

because it doesn't matter what you're selling or doing when you have

interaction with your fan base it makes them comfortable with you which is a

smart marketing strategy and it will result in your product selling really

good because the customers experience with you is great and at the end of the

day it all comes down to being about the fans who are in business terms known as

consumers number three the games overall 2K was innovative with MLB 2K in the

beginning by putting new modes in the series like I explained in number one

until later in the series the game became stagnant because nothing really

changed or nothing new was happening there was no improvement with features

gameplay or graphics and fans really felt this way for example the last game

in the series which was MLB 2K13 before the series discontinued this is what

fans had to say as you can see on the screen about the game but the biggest

blow to the game was the removal of League play on the other hand NBA 2K is

opposite there's always improvement in the series for example the game gets

better graphically each and every year and the gameplay improves plus 2K makes

it a priority to add new things for example if you look back to NBA 2K11 we

got the Jordan challenge where we had the chance to relive some of the

greatest moments in Michael Jordan's career and we had the chance to play ten

different challenges where you could go back in time and to play in the 80s and

the 90s and then in NBA 2K12 2K took it up a notch

there was the NBA's greatest moments mode where you can go back in time and

play with 15 NBA greats like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Julius

Erving, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Wilt

Chamberlain, Isiah Thomas, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen

John Stockton and Karl Malone in one of the modes you can actually play in black

and whites when you play with Bill Russell because it took place in the 60s

when the Celtics were facing the Lakers which was cool this is

also one of the reasons why I think that the NBA 2K series was always more

successful than the MLB 2K series because of the constant improvement in

the NBA 2K series at that point in time number four 2K's Competition I don't

know how old you are if you are watching this but if you are in your 20s you know

that back in the day NBA Live used to be the best basketball game out on

the market and the most popular as well it was what 2K is today in terms of

popularity in the early 2000s it was just fun you had the chance to

participate in the all-star weekend the dunk contest the three-point shootout

the rookie versus sophomore game and the actual all-star game plus the gameplay

was good and during those times the graphics were great there was just so

much fun stuff to do in the game there's just too much things to name BUT MAN

IT JUST SO NOSTALGIC I MISS THOSE DAYS!

honestly when I think about it NBA Live used to sell millions but not

anymore as you can see NBA Live fell off

after NBA Live 08 and this is where NBA 2K comes in they literally

killed their competition 2K took over right when they dropped NBA 2K9 back in

2008 because the game was just more realistic and it had better graphics

and it had just so much more new things to offer 2K crushed its competitor EA in

terms of basketball games remember this and you buy them standing at the

half-court line like Jesus glitch

Yeah that was hilarious that goes to show how bad NBA Live got at one point

NBA Live got so bad at one point to where EA actually cancelled making

the game for two years in a row back in 2011 and in 2012 and the series never

returned until 2013 with NBA Live 14 and up till the release of NBA Live 19 which

just recently released along with NBA 2K19 they still can't compete with 2K and

it hurts me to say this because I grew up playing NBA Live but I don't think

they will ever be able to compete with 2K and since NBA Live 14 the sales

aren't that good no matter what you have to say about NBA 2K the game is still

crushing it on all levels especially in sales now it's the complete opposite

when it comes to MLB 2K. MLB 2K's biggest competition was always MLB

The Show and most baseball fans will agree that MLB The Show was always

better than MLB 2K and Sony Computer Entertainment who are the publishers for

the game just crush 2K in terms of baseball games MLB The Show made an

appearance on February the 28th back in 2006 with MLB 06: The Show and it's

still in existence today the latest game that's out is MLB The Show 18 here's

what Sony Computer Entertainment did better than 2K when it came to baseball

games they marketed it better fans actually got the chance to choose who the

cover athlete for MLB 13 The Show that's something 2K didn't do with MLB 2K

allow the fans to choose any cover athlete for the game there was better customer engagement

with Sony than with 2K MLB The Show has better graphics and gameplay and

more features and Sony was more innovative throughout the baseball video

game series than 2K was MLB 2K was so bad that there's no sales documented for

the game I literally searched everywhere on the internet and I can't find the

sales for MLB 2K anywhere with MLB The Show you can and these are the sales

over the years for MLB The Show. MLB The Show is a PlayStation exclusive it's not

available for any other consoles which makes MLB 2K look even worst because a

game that's available for more consoles should sell more

than a game that's an exclusive I don't know if the sales for MLB 2K are hidden

by 2K because it was that bad or it's just not documented for whatever reason

so this is another reason why MLB 2K wasn's as successful as NBA 2K because

2K crushed its competitor which is EA that makes NBA live but 2K didn't

crush its competitor Sony Computer Entertainment who is affiliated with MLB

The Show but these are the reasons why MLB 2K was never as successful as

NBA 2K in my opinion but that's it for the video guys and like I always say

Nicki Minaj Breaks Down As She Reveals She Was The Victim Of Domestic Violence In New Doc - Daily Ne - Duration: 2:42.

This is simply heartbreaking. Nicki Minaj is tearfully revealing in her new doc of watching in horror as her father beat her mother, and that she herself has been the victim of domestic violence

Nicki Minaj may come across so tough and brash. But she's revealing in a new documentary that it stems from when she watched her dad abuse her mom when she was a young girl and vowed not to ever let that happen to her…until it did

On Oct. 2, the 35-year-old posted a clip from Queen: The Documentary to her Instagram account where she recalled the horror of domestic abuse in her home as a child and how she herself then wound up in the same vicious cycle as an adult

"I remember when my mother would let my father be violent with her. And she always brings up this story as I was a little girl I would stand in front of my mother and go like this," Nicki tearfully revealed while stretching her arms out to either side as if to block her father from getting to her mom

"And I vowed….that's why I'm like…maybe some people would describe me as abrasive or bitchy or whatever because I vowed from that age no man would ever abuse me, call me out by my name or treat me like that

And then all of the sudden, that was my life. Everything I said I would never…." she continued as the clip cuts off

"Who was I gonna inspire when I had nothing in me to give? I let one human being make me so low that I didn't even remember who I was

I was scared to get in the studio like, I didn't believe in myself," Nicki tearfully revealed in a second clip

In 2010 Nicki revealed in a Rolling Stone interview that her ambition and drive stemmed from her desire be successful enough to rescue her mom from her violent situation

"I would go in my room and and kneel down at the foot of my bed and pray that god would make me rich so that I could take care of my mother," she revealed

She said her dad was a violent drug addict who once tried to burn down the family's home with her mom inside

Nicki claimed that talking about her violent dad might make other fathers stop and think twice about their behavior

"It's the price you pay when you abuse drugs and alcohol," she said. "Maybe one day your daughter will be famous and talk to every magazine about it, so think about that, dads out there who want to be crazy

Bristol Palin's Ex Dakota Meyer Speaks Out: 'This Relationship Was Done Way Before Teen Mom OG' - Duration: 3:12.

Dakota Meyer is opening up about his split from Teen Mom OG's Bristol Palin.  The military veteran tells PEOPLE that joining the MTV series had nothing to do with the couple's divorce, which they finalized this summer

"This relationship was done way before Teen Mom OG," Meyer says, before joking he knew it was over "the day after we got married

"  "Our relationship has had struggles from day one, I think we tried our best," he says

"I can definitely say that I tried in this relationship."  Meyer, 30, and Palin, 27,  called off their first planned wedding – which was supposed to be a big, splashy affair in Kentucky — in May 2015

They later reunited and quietly tied the knot in June 2016. Less than two years later, though, they split for good

Meyer made his MTV debut on Monday night's episode, in which the then-couple got into a heated argument about his anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder

(The former U.S. Marine was the only surviving member of his platoon during the war in Afghanistan

)  "I'll take the responsibility for that," Meyer says of the fight. "I think Bristol did the best that she could do

I think that's what we all see in that episode. All I wanted was empathy."  "This is a normal reaction to abnormal circumstances," he says of PTSD

"[People who have it] deserve the utmost respect, understanding, and empathy about what they go through

"  The veteran shares two daughters with Palin: Sailor Grace, 2, and Atlee Bay, 1

Palin also has 9-year-old son Tripp Easton from a previous relationship.  Meyer previously said the two haven't spoken following their split, and he tells PEOPLE they've managed to co-parent without much contact

"I understand how important it is for both parents to be in a child's life," he says

"To co-parent with her is important to me. We communicate when necessary. I would say I'm happy with our relationship

I think that it's right where it needs to be."  Meyer is also focusing on his company Flipside Canvas, which showcases patriotic art that is "all American-made," as he proudly says

"My entire goal in life is to try and change the world," he adds. "To make it worthy of the sacrifice of my teammates made

"  Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

Before Sonic Mania, There Was Sonic Project Mettrix - Duration: 17:19.

In August 2017,

Sega unleashed Sonic Mania upon the world.

The game was a 2D platformer,

made to replicate the gameplay and feel

of the Sonic games from the early and mid 1990s.

Complete with remixed versions of old stages,

all new stages,

and even a new coat of paint for old characters,

upon release, Mania would go on to be

the most critically acclaimed Sonic title in over two decades.

Sega traditionally relied on

their in-house Sonic Team to develop Sonic titles,

especially major releases.

However, Mania was developed by a team not of industry veterans,

but rather of life-long Sonic fans,

who had cut their teeth by creating fan games and rom hacks in their spare time.

The two most famous of them, in the Sonic fan community at least:

Christian Whitehead and Simon Thomley.

Whithead rose to fame with the creation of his

Retro Engine, which could replicate the look and feel of

classic Sonic titles

along with his popular fan game, Retro Sonic.

He would begin working with Sega for official Sonic projects

beginning with the 2011 re-vamped re-release

of the 1993 game Sonic CD.

Thomley, or as he is known online, "Stealth",

was also a rather prominent member

of the Sonic rom hacking and fan game community.

Arguably he is one of the fathers of this

section of the Sonic fandom,

with his earliest attempts to create a Sonic game of his own

beginning in his youth.

In the early '90s,

after first experiencing the original Sonic the Hedgehog

on the Sega Genesis via a display at a local Sam's Club store,

he became obsessed with this franchise.

He was enamoured with the fast, momentum-based platforming of the title.

He would attempt to re-create Sonic's style of platforming himself,

first using his parents' old Apple II computer,

and later a PC running Microsoft DOS.

Today we're talking about a Sonic project

that began as one of Thomley's earliest:

Sonic the Hedgehog: Project Mettrix

is a fan title that Thomley

worked on from 1997 until 2016.

This is his story through this game.

Thomley's first game was called "Hunt".

A primitive title created by a 12-year-old Thomley in 1991,

this Apple II game featured a red rectangle,

which had to be moved through a variety of puzzles.

It was a rudimentary platformer

taking some obvious cues from Super Mario Bros.

The rectangle itself could not even jump,

but rather,

could only be moved vertically by crude, rectangular elevators.

As basic as "Hunt" was,

it was a start for Thomley,

who would initially become fascinated with programming as a child,

cutting his teeth on computers such as the Texas Instruments Ti-99/4a.

By 1996, his programming skills had grown exponentially.

He had become proficient in the programming language "C",

and had tried numerous times,

albeit unsuccessfully,

to create a Sonic game of his own with his friends.

He had become gripped by Sega's mascot,

however, unlike most,

it wasn't the character himself or Sega's "in-your-face" marketing tactics that had drawn Thomley in,

but rather, Sonic's gameplay.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a game

which relied not only on a player's mastery of level layouts,

but also on momentum and the physics of the game's world.

Also in 1996,

Thomley set up one of the early homes for the Sonic fan community online:

the Sonic Stuff Research Group, or SSRG.

This became a hub for ROM hackers to

share their resources, tools, and projects.

It was through his work on the SSRG that

Thomley would be among the first to experience

unreleased prototypes of Sonic games.

These were such as the Simon Wai Sonic the Hedgehog 2 prototype,

which included references to and playable sections of levels

that would not make it into the final release of the game.

Enter Ron Echidna,

or as she would later be known, "Aimee".

Much like Thomley,

she had a desire to bring the Sega Genesis Sonic experience to the PC.

However, she had run into some issues.

Her own project,

at the time titled "Sonic and the 7 Rings",

was being developed using a rudimentary game development tool from Clickteam

called "The Games Factory".

After encountering numerous issues, many of which were caused by the constraints of Clickteam's software,

Aimee searched out a programmer who was proficient in the "C" programming language

and who was also interested in creating a Sonic fan game.

In 1997, she stumbled upon Thomley.

He seemed like a perfect fit for her project.

What initially began as a project of just porting "7 Rings" from "The Games Factory" to "C"

instead became a much more involved project for Thomley.

Shortly after joining Aimee on development,

the game was retitled to "Sonic the Hedgehog: Project Mettrix",

mainly just due to that title sounding better to those involved.

At this point, a plot for the game had not been decided on.

Emphasis during development was put on gameplay above all else.

The main inspiration, gameplay-wise:

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.

This had been the final, biggest, most grandiose

Sonic adventure on the Sega Genesis.

Thus a build of Mettrix was created

featuring Sonic the Hedgehog,

Tails the Fox,

and Knuckles the Echidna.

All three were playable and nearly identical to their Sonic 3 & Knuckles counterparts.

The small Mettrix team soon realized, however,

that they were, in fact, going to need some sort of story.

Even if it took a backseat for the majority of the adventure,

they felt the need for some sort of reasoning

for these characters to be going through the wide variety of

stages and situations.

A few different stories were drafted.

Though never intended as a Sonic the Hedgehog 4,

the plots all took place following the events of Sonic 3.

The earliest plot

featured the evil Dr. Eggman

discovering a machine which would grant

all of the planet Mobius' animals with super intelligence.

Somehow, through a means which was never agreed upon by Aimee or Thomley,

Eggman would build and re-engineer this machine

to instead turn the animals into robots.

The name of this nefarious contraption: "The Mettrix".

However, the plot that was ultimately settled upon

was more par for the course for a mid-90s Sonic game.

After somehow escaping unscathed at the end of Sonic 3 & Knuckles,

Dr. Eggman would once again build up a robotic army

and set off to the mysterious floating Angel Island,

home to both Knuckles the Echidna and the mysterious, yet powerful, Master Emerald.

Instead of wanting the emerald to power up his Star Wars inspired Death Egg like in Sonic 3,

Eggman instead hoped to build a machine of nearly unspeakable power,

capable not only of destroying Sonic and friends once and for all,

but perhaps destroying even the world itself.

The device was codenamed by the mad doctor

Project: Mettrix.

Like in many 2D platformers,

the plot here was rather simple.

As per the team's wishes,

it served merely as reasoning for why Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles

had to traverse through a variety of zones to defeat the evil scientist in question.

In addition, Mettrix expanded on the concept of

different characters taking different paths through the game

which had been introduced in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

For example, the player would begin each adventure in Wood Zone,

an area based off a scrapped level from Sonic the Hedgehog 2,

which served as a glorified character select.

From there, if the player chose Sonic or Tails,

they would go through the lush Shining Island Zone.

However, if Knuckles was selected,

they would instead go through Guardian Castle Zone.

This was one of several points in the game where

different characters would experience their own, exclusive stages.

Despite being a DOS game,

the levels here have a very Genesis-esque look and feel.

Everything is vibrant and colourful,

and this is bolstered by a strong midi soundtrack from Andre Schroder.

Most importantly, especially in later builds,

characters control flawlessly.

Despite having some noticeable bugs,

Project Mettrix was debatably the best

fan-made Sonic experience out there in the late 90s.

In 2002, however,

development on the project would slow.

Around this time, Aimee mysteriously disappeared from the internet,

leading to most if not all development at this point

being handled by Thomley.

This would be further slowed by him taking on other fan projects in addition to Mettrix.

Around this time,

during an attempt at porting both the original

Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 2 to the Sega CD,

Thomley would learn of the Sonic romhack

Sonic the Hedgehog: Megamix,

which had began as a simple palette and level edit of Sonic 1.

He would join this project and co-found its development team, Team Megamix, in 2004.

From here, the project would shift to become more of a

complete overhaul of the 1991 title,

eventually featuring new graphics, music, and playable characters,

and eventually even itself being ported to the Sega CD.

Upon the departure of the original lead,

Thomley would find himself in the leading position here.

Megamix would soon begin to take up much of Thomley's free time,

though work did continue on Mettrix.

Aimee briefly returned online in late 2004 with

renewed interest in the project she had begun in 1996.

She would help create new levels,

mainly the prehistoric themed Bronze Lake Zone,

and even helped prepare a build of the game to be released for the

2005 Sonic Amateur Games Expo.

She would disappear again shortly afterwards.

This was the last of her involvement with Mettrix.

However, progress on Project Mettrix was continuing again.

However, Thomley was not completely satisfied.

He had decided in 2003

that the original DOS engine was not up to snuff for what he ultimately wanted to accomplish with the project.

Thus he began working on a new game engine

known as "E02" alongside the old version of Mettrix.

He re-christened the old versions of the game as "E01".

The final E01 version of Mettrix would be released in 2005.

It was the most stable and complete version of the game yet,

even if not everything Thomley had wanted.

All three characters were playable,

each with their own functional paths through the game,

and in addition to this,

the last E01 versions of Mettrix would finally

see ports to Microsoft Windows.

Despite this, due to the non-standard screen resolution of the title,

the game will not run properly, if at all, on modern versions of Windows.

Thus, the best way to experience E01 Mettrix in all of its glory

is by using a DOS emulator such as DOSBox.

From here, Thomley hoped to create an even bigger,

better version of the game using his E02 engine.

In 2006, the first demo of this new version of Mettrix

would be released for the Sonic Amateur Games Expo.

Consisting of only a few playable levels,

this build was meant to show off the power, stability, and versatility of E02 itself.

The Sonic community was impressed by this game engine,

especially once Thomley also released a Mega Man 7-style fan game demo titled

Mega Man: Triple Threat,

which also ran using E02.

The Mettrix E02 build would not change much in the coming years.

Consisting of a fully functional version of Shining Island Zone,

Act 1 of Bronze Lake,

a remake of Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1 and the Sonic 1 special stage,

plus a test zone, along with all three playable characters from previous versions of Mettrix,

Stealth would turn his attention away from porting the entirety of Mettrix to E02,

to instead porting E02 itself to a variety of systems.

By 2008, in addition to Windows,

E02 and Mettrix would have versions compatible with Mac OSX and Linux as well.

Soon after, homebrew versions were also made available for the Sony PSP and Nintendo Wii.

In 2009,

this E02 porting job would gain Thomley the attention of

Christian Whitehead.

Whitehead and Thomley had previously met in 1997

after Whitehead had discovered an earlier version of Mettrix.

They had since fallen out of contact,

though Whitehead had kept up to date with Thomley's work.

By 2009, Whitehead was working on an updated re-release of Sonic CD.

Whitehead wanted to make a demo version to pitch to Sega themselves.

However, versatile as his Retro Engine was,

he wanted Thomley's help in getting the demo to a point that he was comfortable with on smartphones.

In particular, he wanted help in getting the game's

pseudo-3D special stages faithful to their original versions.

This was in addition to other aspects, such as the Palmtree Panic Zone boss,

which was the first boss of the game.

An agreement was made and Thomley got to work.

Within a year, Whitehead's pitch had been made and accepted by Sega.

Upon the release of his version of Sonic CD in 2011,

it was met with critical acclaim.

Thomely, however, would not work on this project after the initial pitch demo.

Though he would initially try to join Whitehead in developing the port past this point,

Whitehead would decline,

citing lack of experiencing or existing relationship with Sega at the time.

This did not stop Thomley with coming up with his own idea to pitch to Sega.

In his free time,

he had created his own demo version of Sonic CD

which ran on the Nintendo DS.

Unfortunately, due to a variety of external factors,

he never got to make his own Sonic CD pitch.

Fortunately, Thomley would get a chance to work with Sega again a few years later.

Whitehead, after the critical and commercial success of his version of Sonic CD,

was going to make an updated port of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for iPhones and Android devices.

But - he wanted Thomley's help.

Thomley agreed.

Thomley had established his own game studio in 2011, named "Headcannon".

This was the name he would work under for this project.

This version of Sonic 1, released in 2013,

would also receive critical and commercial acclaim.

It would be followed later that year by a similarly styled port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

In a move that harkened back to Thomley's earlier work,

the smartphone version of Sonic 2 featured a fully playable version of the Hidden Palace Zone,

which had been playable in prototype versions of the game

but was scrapped from the final original release.

Throughout this time, work continued off and on on Project Mettrix.

With the registration of Headcannon in 2011,

the E02 engine itself was renamed to the "Headcannon Game Engine".

However, the final update to this engine,

which a download of was required to even play E02 Sonic Project Mettrix,

would occur in April 2016.

This was shortly after Thomley famously cancelled the Sonic Megamix project,

of which he was also the only development team member left on.

In his final post on the official Team Megamix blog,

he cited part of the reasoning for this cancellation as

involving various upcoming projects.

He also, however, did state that he would someday release the Megamix engine to the public,

after he had time to go back, clean it up, and improve it to a point he was satisfied with.

In July of that year, Sega officially announced Sonic Mania -

a new game which would serve as a celebration of the Sonic series itself.

It would feature new levels, old levels,

classic Sonic gameplay,

and even references to obscure and widely forgotten Sonic titles.

To put it bluntly,

it was equal parts a new Sonic game

and a celebration of the franchise as a whole.

This title would be successful enough to get an updated release,

titled Sonic Mania Plus, in July 2018.

One of the prominent members on the mania project was Thomley.

While Sonic Project Mettrix was never formally cancelled,

it can be assumed to be on an indefinite hiatus.

However, the game itself, both in the later E01 versions and E02 demos,

is a blast to play and is definitely worth your time.

As for Thomley himself,

his story shows what happens when you take something you're passionate about,

in this case Sonic the Hedgehog and game development,

and stick with it.

From a young age, he didn't just want to re-create the Sonic experience,

but actually contribute something to his favourite franchise.

With Sonic Mania he was finally able to do this.

He had gone from a Sonic fan to part of what is considered one of the best Sonic games of all time.

However, the work he would go on to do on Sonic Mania,

and indeed with Sega in general,

would not have been possible without the work that was set in motion by

Project Mettrix.

This is part of Thomley's story and the tale of an extraordinary fan game.

Why Tina Knowles Lawson Was Hesitant to Date Ladies' Man Richard Lawson | Black Love | OWN - Duration: 1:48.

TINA: The women, you know, they like Richard.

Richard's 70.

He's still got 70 years on them.

They still be like googoo eyes, so I was like, oh hell no.

So we laughed about it, and we just had a good time.

And then the next night, we went out again--

we went to a jazz club.

And then on Monday, we had lunch.

And I said, you know what, I'm really feeling good.

I'm not sad at all.

I said, it's like a weight has been lifted.

But the only thing that I'm kind of upset about

is that in two weeks, Beyonce has a concert in Houston

and I don't want people looking at me saying,

oh look at poor Miss Tina.

And so he came down for the concert in two weeks,

and you know, we just had a really good time

and we connected.

And eventually-- and we talked, and I said you know,

I just got to really take it slow because you know.

And he said, Yeah well.

I said, but I just really want to thank you for coming down

here to support me, and he said, well you know

I'm really attracted to you.

And I was like look, I'm too old for you.

RICHARD: No, I thought that's what you said.

TINA: No, that's what--

RICHARD: You didn't' tell me you were attracted to me?

TINA: No, you told me you were attracted to me.

Don't try it.

And then I said--

RICHARD: I'm not so sure.

TINA: Oh you're not?

RICHARD: No, I think you said it.

TINA: No, you said it.

RICHARD: OK. TINA: You said it.

RICHARD: All right.

TINA: Why you changing the story now?

What's up with you?

RICHARD: Go ahead, finish your story.

TINA: So anyway, I said, well you know I'm too old for you.

Do you remember that part?

RICHARD: You said that.

TINA: That came as a result of you saying well I'm

attracted to you.

And I say, Yeah, but I'm' too old for you, because you know,

you like them young.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Backlash Was The Work of Russian Bots - Duration: 12:58.

people must be delusional to think that Russia would care this much about a

movie franchise. what's up everybody? today I'm here to talk again about Star

Wars the last Jedi now I have something very interesting to talk about there is

an article on a Hollywood Reporter first we find out that Kathleen Kennedy is

actually staying for three more years which I said I don't have a problem with

because three years it's not a lot of times to get a lot of projects going if

you think about so whatever she's probably just gonna finish episode 9 and

those TV shows and that's pretty much it the art quiz actually titled Star Wars

the last Jedi negative buzz amplified by Russian trolls study finds and this is

beyond ridiculous in my opinion okay the article starts an academic paper

finds that half of criticism aimed at director Rian Johnson was politically

motivated to me this is absurd because Disney Lucasfilm Rian Johnson

Kathleen Kennedy whatever you know they cannot fathom the fact that they made a

terrible product okay and they cannot even understand why are the fans so mad

or they're just pretending not to okay first of all we have this horrible

attacks on the fans that people that didn't like the film are racist misogynist

are this this and that okay forget about the women they're

actually didn't like the film or the diverse people that actually didn't like

the film because it does not fit within the Star Wars lore okay you basically

took a crap all over legacy characters but that's so good okay it's all

politicize okay we made a great product and this is what irritates me the

most because they are not even listening to anyone's criticism because Disney

could do no wrong because there's no movie that Disney would put out there

that people would despise at this level. we all know you and I if you have been

around YouTube okay there's plenty of evidence out there of the amount of

people that put videos explaining the reasons

why they don't like the last Jedi okay if you do a little bit of research you

can go around YouTube and you'll find many videos of very very extensive

essays and reasons why people actually didn't like this you will see that

people are not actually complaining about the amount of women or about the

diversity but they are saying that this movie does not make sense

Luke Skywalker is completely out of character completely destroyed and made

fun of a legacy character they're also emphases on new characters

without even build-up or story arc is just whatever I am sick of having to

discuss the reasons why I think this movie is horrible okay and I totally

respect people that like the film I don't have a problem with people

that like the film I honestly don't if you like to film great for you

that's not what I'm discussing here but what makes me really mad is the fact

that the people that disliked the film are not even being heard okay

there's no way to have these people listen to criticism Rian Johnson is a

clown and he's desperate so desperate that this backlash so-called backlash is

non-existent that he's retweeting this article and talking oh my God I'm gonna

be reading this paper and you know victimizing himself saying the

experience that I have online you know confirms it seriously Rian Johnson

you're such a clown you're the one attacking the fans and calling everyone

men babies here and there right or am I wrong

not long ago I made a video where he was attacking Mike's zeroh you know making fun

of him also know long ago he was on Twitter's calling people man babies and

blah blah blah and now the Russians are actually are the ones that they're

actually Russian BOTS guys Russian BOTS are the ones that... what is it saying here?

that amplified the negative effect of the last Jedi seriously guys Wow the

level of desperation here is beyond me it honestly and you know what I don't

even doubt that Rian Johnson might be behind it all even this paper because again

he's desperate he is desperate to prove people wrong okay

there's no way people didn't like my movie oh my God and we all know he

wanted to create a polarizing film ok there's videos of him out there saying

he loves this kind of to extremes how can you believe that Russian would

be that invested in a movie franchise ? ok and this whole politicized and that's

why I hate politics and I don't like talking about politics ok I'm not

involved with politics I have never been here talking left talking right I don't

like this movie this movie's terrible and this movie sucks period. we know that

George Lucas has never hidden the fact that there was politic involved in Star Wars

ok however those politics make sense within the world what people are

complaining what I complained as well is that in the new movie they did bring

politics okay rich versus poor and war oh my God how people are horrible and we

have to treat animals but what about slave kids who cares right let's just

save animals because that's the kind of that's what we should do, we should care

more about animals than humans even though I love animals myself, but yes all

this crap all over the film whatever but this is my point ok yes George Lucas did

not deny the fact that Star Wars was indeed very political the politics

made sense within the universe and it didn't sacrifice the

story because of the politics but the problem with the new movie is

that they did not care about legacy characters they did not care about the

lore they cared about a certain political message shoved on people's

face and that's why a lot of people had problem with it because you don't go to

Star Wars to be reminded of terrible things that are happening in the world

you go to Star Wars to watch a Star Wars film to go to a galaxy far far away to

see lightsaber fights to be inspired by Luke Skywalker or any other character

that would you know do an inspiring thing but then they get a character that

was good okay because you cannot tell me Luke Skywalker wasn't good they get a

character that was good that inspired good a character that would be a good

role model for a man out there and they destroy the character

because the male are villains okay you cannot trust the male and that's the

problem that is the problem and that is what irritates me the most because they

don't get it no matter how much you talk about it no matter how much you explain

they are never gonna get it okay they are never going to get it now these

bunch of clowns at Lucasfilm destroyed the biggest IP okay they divided the

fans and now regardless of the numbers there is still no acknowledgement of

criticism of division amongst the fans it's like none of this exists

seriously people I think that these people think that the fans are a

bunch of morons okay I believe that they were so shocked that the fans actually

rebuked this film that that's why they are coming up with all these articles

and all these things and bla bla bla that they have this notion that Star

Wars fanatics will just take whatever this is proof that Star Wars fans want

quality films that's what people have been asking for again I've already said

it many many times I am on YouTube talking about entertainment because I'm

not interested in politics or having fights with left and right I don't care

about any of that I care about good movies forget about things that would

actually take me out of this terrible reality we live nowadays and that's the

reason why a lot of people watch films now I'm sick of all this and this

excuses okay because again it's very sad what happened to Star Wars and now how

can you have any hope why do you think fans are going out of their way to

create fan films? to do re edits and do all these things because they love the

universe people I always loved Star Wars Star Wars has always been dear to

people's heart and these clowns you know got a hold of this and pretty much

destroyed and thanks to Kathleen Kennedy for allowing it. She started off

very strong and I thought that everything was going to be successful

but then she allowed the last Jedi again this woman I already said that

she is a great producer her name is present in many of my favorite franchises but

as a producer I'm not going to take her credit out but because

they are mad at her they do want to take her credit I'm not going to, give

credit where credit is due, she is indeed a good great producer very powerful

woman in Hollywood but she's terrible when

it comes to creative aspects of things because we could totally see what

happened to the last jedi when her creativity is involved she allowed this

movie to completely destroy the lore she allowed this movie to be extremely

agenda driven she allowed this movie to destroy legacy characters just for the

sake of whatever because she doesn't care all she cares about her message and

that's my only problem Kathleen Kennedy okay and we all know that this extension

doesn't mean anything you know I Bob Iger already said that they're not gonna

be making films or at least right now there's nothing announced, three years is

not a lot of time if you think about production and putting films out there

so perhaps this three year will indeed be her last three years whatever it

doesn't matter anymore but I'm just so sick of all these clowns and all this

crap and all these articles and all these excuses and excuses I've already

said if something is good it does not need explaining it does not need anyone

shove it in your face oh my God guys the last guy is a great film please believe

that! people are not gonna believe that they're not gonna change their minds and

now they keep pushing this articles out there to pretend that everything is fine

listen the fans are no idiots okay you can't not tell us that Russian bots are

the one that manipulated okay so Russian BOTS the Russians now

manipulated the box office failure that was solo a Star Wars story, are

you gonna tell me that they had that kind of power as well ,why would they be

so invested on a movie franchise to begin with ? how does that make any sense?

now what one of the things that people don't get you cannot force people to

feel something I saw the last Jedi twice once in the theaters and a second one

was a fan added who asked me to check he said it out that was the only time I saw

this film and I cannot tell you that he made me feel anything this is the one

movie one Star Wars film that actually the feeling I got about it was discussed

okay I was grossed out about a lot of this movies and shocked that's the only

feeling I can tell while I go back and watch the original trilogy and I'm

inspired I want to be like those characters I want to be

a better person the same thing with the prequels say whatever you want about the

prequels okay I still think that he expanded the universe I didn't think a

lot of the cinematic choices could have been done differently a lot of the

dialogue could have been written differently but I still have a lot of

love for those characters we still have a lot of memes we talk about them fondly

so whatever but the last Jedi did divide the fans it did create it you

know this horrible atmosphere that only mentioning Star Wars right now is

motive for fights and insults on the internet and all thanks to you Kathleen

Kennedy all thanks to you Lucasfilm and Rian Johnson so here congratulation and

right now with these stupid articles talking about Russian BOTS you have got

to be kidding me? and I don't understand why Bob Iger so

far have not come forth and said anything about Kathleen Kennedy good or

bad okay we have not seen why can you just say something all we think the last

Jedi was a great accomplishment and they why why because they are indeed listening

to the criticism they're just not acknowledging the criticism because if

they do if they do acknowledge it's like saying how we did something wrong and

they are never going to do that so whatever we look as film and you know

whatever with all these stupid article whatever with rian johnson that clown

you know he's not gonna shut up whatever what else can you say about all of this

so that's it that's my point my two cents on this stupidity

Jamie Dornan Was a Drunk Tigger at His Kid's Birthday Party - Duration: 2:04.

You have kids, you said.

I do.

Two?

Two.

Yeah.

How old?

Uh, Dulcie, our eldest, is going to be five in November,

and [? Alva ?] is two and 1/2.

Adorable.

Yeah.

Now, when you go to, like, play dates and stuff,

do you find that the moms show up a lot?

[LAUGHTER]

Um, I think, like, the moms show up a lot in those things

anyway?

You know, it's often--

Yeah, but more so.

--because--

[LAUGHTER]

If you're there.

I don't know.

We're planning Dulcie's fifth birthday at the moment.

And we're trying to get her away from--

We've done two years in a row with Winnie the Pooh themed.

And this year we're having--

I think we're doing disco, is the new thing.

Does she like disco?

A five-year-old?

She-- I don't know where she got it, but somehow, in our house,

one of those disco light, like, things has turned up.

A mirror ball?

It's one of those--

Or a light?

Like, it change-- it has all these different settings,

and all different colors.

And she's very taken by it.

So at night, she's into--

So now she's going to like Gloria Gaynor, all of a sudden?

Like, just because there's a light?

Exactly.

I don't know if that's--

It's not a very strong premise.

No.

No.

It's just really a light.

It's a light.

It's not really the music.

We're all going to gather around a light.

Ah.

And eventually bring in a cake.

I was quite sad about the Winnie the Pooh thing.

I enjoyed that.

Oh, really?

Yeah.

It seems like you'd be ready to move on

from Winnie the Pooh, but it--

(LAUGHS)

And you control the party, anyway.

So you can do whatever you want.

Yeah.

Well, I-- that's me, there.

So I'm Tigger every year, right?

That's-- I'm-- I'm drunk in that picture.

Uh-huh.

That's not early on.

That's after the kids have gone.

So that's not even--

that's not even her birthday.

That was-- she just had a birthday.

That's just you.

Yeah.

That's just me.

On a Wednesday.

We, uh-- there's always lots of other Tiggers there.

Invariably, you know, a lot of the other little kids

are Tiggers.

Uh-huh.

But I'm the biggest Tigger.

Uh-huh.

Well, congratulations on that.

Good for you.

Thanks.

Michael Jai White Confessed His Love to Gillian When He Thought He Was Dying | Black Love | OWN - Duration: 1:43.

MICHAEL: I'm like a lightweight.

I've never been drunk in my life.

I've never smoked marijuana.

I've never gotten high.

I've never done anything, but my system is real sensitive.

I was doing a movie, and I couldn't--

I had like--

I was going on two or three days with no sleep.

Plus I was getting a cold.

So I figured, OK, I'll take some NyQuil or something like that.

Like it will help me sleep, and deal with my cold.

I took them, and later just went bonkers.

And I was convinced that I was going to die.

I was convinced that if I let myself go to sleep,

that was it.

I got so paranoid that thinking I was going to die,

I ended up like confessing to her that--

GILLIAN: He kept calling me.

--that like she was the one, you know?

You know, I got to let her know.

That in case I'm gone, you know, it was you.

And I'm like, well, thanks for telling me

now that you're going to die.

No, but she didn't know I thought I was going to die.

But I just-- you know, but it turned out

it was a bad reaction to some damn Tylenol PM.

So the next day, I realized I to put that out there,

and I had to deal with it.

So you know, I basically it was like, whoa, OK,

about the other day--

you know, that night.

And the timing couldn't have been

better, because we both were at the end of our marriages.

So you know.

TOMMY ROBINSON WAS RIGHT - Duration: 4:14.

One of the most ironic things in the last decade

has happened in the last few days.

Tommy Robinson has got a taste of his own medicine.

Asalaamu Alaikum guys welcome to smile2jannah.

Now Tommy Robinson

who lately has refused to speak to the mainstream media

why would I have anything to say to you all you do is lie

has spoken to the mainstream media

the king of crap and controversy is yet in another one

and again something of his own choosing

if you read the Sun newspaper

if you read Russia today, if you look at LBC all of them said, LBC that I

don't care if my message incites fear into Muslims

now Tommy Robinson dare I say it was

actually right on this one that Sky had changed his words and taken em out

of context. They'd actually changed two words

took letters off of both words

which completely changed the context of what I said

now I hope Tommy's not failing to see

the irony in this. Which is he does exactly the same thing but with Muslims and Islam.

All the Uber drivers in the UK are Muslims immigrants

So again he's claimed that the media lies... we all know this

in fact I've made an entire video where I've compiled major news headlines

where they've lied against Islam and Muslims

and after complaints, they've retracted that news statement

and posted it in the middle somewhere

and ironically Tommy's crying here about lying

where he does the same thing about Muslims

in fact I've done an entire video where I've just compiled the lies of Tommy

the link is in the description

Now you got loads of people like a Alidawah

that have asked Tommy Robinson

that all right mate your actions are noble and they're good

grooming gangs need to be stopped

but why is it Tommy that you only target Pakistani or brown grooming

why not white grooming gangs and gangs of other ethnicities?

Now Sky here, ask him about certain cases of white grooming gangs. Now Tommy gave

the most poorest response mate and this is an understatement. In fact to call it a

response is I think very disrespectful to this word

If you're worried about grooming gangs and pedophilia why aren't you outside the

courthouse of a bunch of white pedophiles

who are raping toddlers and babies in 2015.

okay good question let's say the response

-and I'm telling you -okay we're ready for the masterpiece

-Hit us! -That these gangs have been allowed to do it for 30 years

Huhn, what's that got to do with anything?

What about the Catholic church, why aren't you outside the Catholic Church?

I despise the Catholic church

Why aren't you outside the Catholic Church?

Oh I despise the Catholic Church... how on earth is this a valid response mate?

Operation Yewtree, have you ever stood outside an operation Yewtree?

Have I? No -Why not, is it because they're white?

No it's not coz ...

Is it because they're not Muslims? -No it's not no

What about sex tourists? What about people like Garry Glitter you go abroad and rape children

in Cambodia or Philippines -Do you know what, do you know what...?

OK quite a few cases have been brought forward let's see what Tommy

Robinson is going to say in return, he hasn't really answered any of the

questions let's see

Your job... I'm actually unfortunately I've had to come

a fill a void and do your job

Absolute useless response mate, didn't give any

valid reason... pathetic

Thank You Tommy for providing us with yet more entertainment

(NOT CLICKBAIT) I ordered the iPhone XS Max online but it was given to the wrong person!!! - Duration: 12:18.

An

$1,800

Package got sent to the wrong place

That is what he was trying to tell me.

Hey guys! Sorry about the lighting change and the location change. I just wanted to quickly say...

Hi how's it going? My name is Michael Saliba. And this is my first ever youtube video that I have ever made

Filmed, edited everything so, please cut me some slack. I apologize for all the cuts and everything

I was trying to shorten the video as much as I possibly could

Because no one likes it when someone just talks talks talks all the time

So I cut it down for like 28 minutes to like 12**. So there are a lot of jumps in there

I tried to make it as natural as possible

if you were blindfolded and you were watching it, you wouldn't even notice but

Unfortunately, I talk with my hands a lot. So

It's way more obvious when I do the cuts because my hands are just moving around all the time

I'm sorry, but I hope you can still enjoy the video! Thank you so much for watching and enjoy

long story short

I ordered the iPhone XS max on the Apple website

umm maybe

two, three weeks ago and

I got a notification

Yesterday morning. At like 8:45 a.m

Saying "Hey Michael, your order will arrive sometime today" but I had work

so I had to leave the house and no one else was at home

So when they eventually did bring it to me, I wasn't there

So I got a notification saying "Hey Michael, we tried delivering items in your order except

It could not be collected. We'll try again a little later" then

Maybe like two three hours later. I got another notification. Saying the exact same thing.

Immediately followed by a notification saying "Hey Michael, good news. You've received your order. We hope you enjoy"

*tonguepop* so I was at work and

I read that and I thought to myself

Maybe someone from my family collected the phone, you never know. So, after I finished work

I called my mom and I said "Hey, did you get my phone?"

She was like, "No I didn't" and then I called my sister. I was like "hey

Do you have my phone?" She's like no, I don't have your phone

So I said, can you please go check the mailbox to see if they left a letter in the mail saying

"Hey come to the post office to come and collect your package"

There was nothing in the mail, at all.

But the Apple store said that I have received my product so I frantically search my emails for the tracking number

and then I go online to see the tracking data and I will put a screenshot of

What I saw up here

So as you can see, there's a lot of stuff going on. Started off in Sydney, went to Melbourne

Anyways, it says I'll zoom in actually, it says

"Your

delivery address has been changed." Now I read that and I was like what?

Why would my address change? How did it change? I never changed it! Who collected it.?! So, I

was still at work by the way

Like I was just finished work, was just walking towards my car when this was all going on and I was like nah

So I finally got off hold

So he said it's on Sweetwater Road, which is a seven minute drive away, and he was like, "But they close in 10 minutes"

*mouthpop* *tonguepop*

10 minutes closing and it's a seven minute drive!

I Pumped the gas, drove all the way down

I was on a red light and I was just crying on the red light because I was like, I'm not gonna make it

*exhale* I get there! As soon as I say, "Hey, how's it going? I have a package." He goes. "Yeah

well, that's not what I need to hear. What I need to hear, is your surname and who you ordered it with." and I was like, "Ummm

My surname is Saliba and I ordered it with TNT," he's like, "Right."

Then he goes in the back and he looks

like just behind the counter

And he sees 'TNT' and he's going through all the packages that he has and then he sees 'Saliba' and he says "Cool, Saliba"

He puts it on the bench and he's like "I need to see your ID just to make sure

that the address I live on is the address of the package and that we're the same person

So I give him my ID and he reads it. He's like, "Ummm,

I don't have an order for Michael Saliba, sorry." And I was like "What? What's that package?" and then he's like "This isn't for Michael,

this is for..." I'm gonna make up a name. Um

Mary. "This is for Mary Saliba." But then I scroll down, *laughs* scroll. Oh my god, that's how you know I'm addicted to technology...

I look down and I see the address

It's not my address. It's um, like some random address

It's on iPhone Drive

so I'm like "iPhone drive?

I don't live on iPhone Drive! This isn't my order." So he just grabs it away

Alright, well, then I can't help you. He put the package away gives me my license back and he says "Go, you need to leave now."

I can't help you and I was like, "what do you mean? Where's my order?

I was on the phone with TNT and they told me that it was here" and then he was like "Nah,

It's not here. Maybe the courrier sent the wrong order"

an

eighteen hundred dollar

package

Got sent to the wrong place

That is what he was trying to tell me. I don't know about you

*tonguepop*

But if you pay $1,800 for a phone, and have been on hold for 15 minutes, That doesn't make you smile.

He was like, "Call TNT, Call TNT." So, I call them again. I'm on hold with them

But in my mind, I remember iPhone Drive, and I remember just quickly

I only glanced at it for like two seconds and I straight away just said "nah this isn't mine" and put it away

But I was like "I need to go to this address". But I was like "No, I can't do that, that's illegal"

"I shouldn't of seen that" "I feel bad for..."

What was the persons name? Mary? Okay," I feel bad for Mary Saliba"

because I just saw her address like I shouldn't have seen it.

So, I did what anyone would do *tonguepop*

I put iPhone Drive into my navigations and went to iPhone Drive and I was like cool iPhone Drive

I'm gonna get my phone. It's gonna be all good

And then on the way there I was on the phone with my mother and my father as well

They were on speaker and she was telling me like "You shouldn't be doing this,

this is a scary thing to knock on someone's house and say 'Hi give me my iPhone back' because they might not do it

They might lie to you. I am on my way to a iPhone Drive, but I don't remember the actual address

I just remember quickly glancing at it and I remember seeing the number

Three and the number four, but I don't remember the actual address

so I put '3 iPhone Drive' into my

Navigations and I went to '3 iPhone Drive' and I knocked and I was like "Hi

are you Mary?" because it was an old lady and she was like "No, I'm not Mary"

I was okay like "Do you know someone named Mary Saliba that lives in this neighborhood?"

She was like "No I don't", So I was like "great." So I went to '4 iPhone Drive' and I was like "Hi

do you know someone named Mary Saliba that lives in this neighborhood?"

"No I don't." So I was like great. Okay, like there goes that idea

So I think to myself all right, if you need to find somebody and all you know is their name

How do you find them in 2018?

Facebook! I go on Facebook and I write down Mary Saliba

and I find this old ladies facebook profile, I click on it and

She's there and guess what?

I had one mutual friend with Mary Saliba.

Someone that goes to my high school. I

Was like what? This is crazy this can't be real so I go and I click message request

So I said "Hey Mary, my name's Michael Saliba. Um, I think we have a mix-up with our packages. Please contact me ASAP"

So I do that and now I'm waiting for a response

From this old lady for a message request and I was like, I can't do this like I'm never gonna get a response.

I messaged the mutual friend and I said "Hi

'Vanessa'

Awkward question

Can you please contact Mary Saliba and tell her that

she needs to contact me back because we have a mix-up with our package!"

She replies literally one second later and we have a conversation getting it all sorted out.

So I thought to search her up on Facebook,

found her, messaged her.

She thought to look at me, look for me through the phone books

I just think that's really funny and cute and I just wanted to add that in because like it's just funny how the

Generations both act like we both thought let's look for the other person

But I knew to go to Facebook and she knew to go to the phone books

She didn't find me but I found her so it proves that you know

*tonguepop* Facebook is powerful. It can really do wonders

Basically, she just said that I'm more than welcome to go to Mary's house to collect

My phone whenever. Literally before I could even knock on the door she was already walking outside and

she gave me m- my phone

My beautiful iPhone XS max she gave me my device and

Yeah, we had a good conversation for about 10 minutes and then I went home and Here I am filming this video right now

I thought you know

That the courrier that was in charge of delivering me my device had made a mistake

And it turns out she didn't get it delivered. She got a phone call saying

"Hi Mary, come to the newspaper agency and we'll give you your parcel." She ordered a bunch of different mugs

I don't know why I have this ready to go, but she ordered a bunch of mugs and

Didn't get them and they told her to come to Sweetwater Drive newspaper agency

So she did and then the girl

so the guy that served me was a guy, he was a rude old man with gray hair and

He checks my ID and he said go away. You're not the right person. This isn't your address

you can't have the parcel but the girl who served Mary she was a

Short large woman who was very rude and it's just funny because both employees at the

Newspaper Agency on Sweetwater Drive are both rude, were both rude to us

Except the only thing is the girl who served her

Said "Saliba? Yep, here you go. No worries"

Didn't even read the ID. She checked it, but she didn't even read it to make sure that it was correct

She just thought to herself "Oh Saliba, how often do you get an order for Saliba?

Like how many Saliba's are there really around town?

So she just gave her the phone and then Mary went home

Open up her mug set to find out that it's not a mug set and that it's an iPhone

*exhale* And I went to the post office to not even receive my product so I

Was gonna blame TNT and say that their couriers made a huge mistake and all that, but it wasn't the couriers fault.

It wasn't TNT's fault. It was the newspaper agencies fault.

The Fact that she was rude and the fact that she didn't even read the ID

It's unforgivable.

Thankfully, I got my product. But I'm sure this isn't the first time it's happened I want to know

What you guys have experienced, like have you ever had something

Similar or the same as this happened to you? Have you ever had your parcel given out to the wrong person?

Did you get it stolen? Like what did the newspaper agency do with it? Like did they try and throw the blame?

Did they pay you back for it? Like I want to know.

What would a manager do

to the employee

that makes that mistake?

How would they?

Deal with the problem. I want to know if you are a manager of a newspaper agency

Tell me what would you do? I think it's pretty rare for that to be the case

What I think is more likely is that someone that has dealt with this would be able to tell me but yeah

thank you for watching and

Enjoy the rest of your day! Or night

See ya

Thanks for watching xx
