Today's manga lesson is
I know, I'm adding -ing in every English word but it doesn't help me.
This time continues from our previous topic, establishing panels.
In Japanese manga or other fictional media's term, it's called "Baten". It's short term for "bamen tenkan"
In Japanese manga,
generally we change scene in almost every 4 pages by changing place and time of a scene.
We call the panels for changing place and time "baten".
Well, chage... scene. (can't spell "scene" in English"!)
What we do on the baten panel?
Previously we learnt to give an information of place to the readers by drawing background.
And by drawing the sky,
we can show when the scene takes place.
But
I have more to tell you about how to show when a scene takes place.
As the shift of the scene
becomes drastic...
Well...
For example, the shift of place from a classroom to...N
THE WORLD!!
- The time has stopped.
I was finding an English word for "rouka".
"Corridor"! I'd never find the word out.
What's the "corridor"?
What is that...
Leaning english is quite difficult...
So, the shift from a classroom to a corridor.
This is a corridor of a school.
In this case, we don't have to draw the sky.
Because the place and the time of the scene haven't changed so much.
The shift is so little so we don't have to show the sky.
But in the case of a shift from a classroom to ...
Taiiku-kan.
You mean I picked a wrong word?
-You're right.
We write taiiku-kan like this.
Taiiku is...
the subject to play a sport.
Taiiku-kan is a building to conduct a taiiku class.
Shift to Taiiku-kan from a classroom is big enough to show the sky.
Showing the shift to a taiiku-kan might be needed.
Plus,
For a shift for longer distance,
1 panel is not enough,
you can use several panels.
For example,
a shift from Tokyo to Osaka.
You show a city of Osaka here.
And a house in Osaka.
You show a shift with several panels for long distance shift.
I suppose you don't get why you have to draw several panels to show a shift. Coz I hadn't got it.
And I wondered from where we need to use several panels.
So I'm going to tell you.
I mean how long the time passed during a shift.
I was like "what time is it?"
Good.
I made it.
This is a scene in the morning.
Students say "Hi" to each other.
Some students are entering the classroom.
And in the next scene, the time shifts to the after school.
If you show the shift with 1 panel like
This is school and the sky.
Students are going home.
(Manga Senpai means "bye")
Like they say see you again.
If you show the shift like this,
it's too fast.
On this panel people saying "good morning" and on next panel people say "good bye".
Too fast!
Readers may feel like that.
You need to show more panels between these two.
The pointing is...
Pointing?
A half day. Or 6 hours.
To show a shift over 6 hours, 1 panel might not enough.
In this case, after this "good morning" panel,
I want to add one more panel.
For example,
a panel like, while in class, a main character watching outside of the window.
With this panel, "good morning", "while in class", " then "good bye" comes.
It's very natural.
Use several panels to show a shift over 6 hours.
Show readers how long the time passed between the scenes.
There's one more point that you can pay attention with.
This is what I'd been told by my manga editor repeatedly.
A shift from after school to the next morning.
I drew students on the way to the school.
This is a morning scene so I drew a sound effect of the twitter of the sparrow. This strongly convey the morning feeling in Japanese manga term.
When people read this 2 panels, they'll think the 2nd panel is the next morning.
But for the author, it was 3 days after.
In this case, the author failed to show that 3 days passed during the shift.
It's quite difficult to show such a long time shift.
There's some way to show. Past Japanese manga showed this time shift
with a narration says "3 days after". It makes sense.
However,
in these days this narration is less used in Japanese manga.
I don't know this feeling is common with foreign manga readers.
This way to show the long time shift is bit outdated for today's manga.
So we're in trouble.
On top of that, in older days,
to show this 3 days time shift,
they drew tear off calendar.
They drew 3 pages of tear off calendar to show the shift.
Then the readers know that 3 days past.
But it's outdated.
Tear off calendar is outdated and a narration is also.
But what else we can do?
Without showing the time shift readers will get confused.
They'll be in panic.
So, to show this time shift in today's style,
We draw a panel showing inside a classroom.
Students are chatting inside a classroom. In the conversation we show that 3 days passed from a previous panel.
Conversation of characters
that readers can guess that 3 days passed.
That's today's way to show the long time shift.
That's important point.
-Can you give us an example of such conversation? -For example...
"Did you see the TV show on the last Sunday?"
Or giving a name of TV show which seem on the air on specific day...
Like "Did you see 'Friday countdown 50' ?"
Then readers know that the day they talking about the show is maybe Saturday.
If you showed it was Monday on the previous panel,
by the conversation you can show the shift form Monday to Saturday.
Or a character says like...
Like "Did you finish your homework?"
"That teacher is doing a test again, it's 3 days in a row.
By saying that readers can guess 3 days past from a previous panel.
They can guess.
Something like that.
You should keep what characters saying is not so far from the story of your manga.
Give the hint of time shift to readers with a conversation which relates to the story a bit.
It's very natural.
Something like that.
So, the time is very important information.
Without it, readers get confused like "What is it?"
To avoid that, we need to show appropriate information by panels.
This episode got long again.
Today's summary.
It's important to show place and time on the establishing panel.
To show the time shift over half day or 6 hours,
You need to show it with several panels.
To show much longer time shift, such as 3 days or 1 week...
ago?
What is "ago"?
To show 1 week later,
you need to show it somehow, for example with a conversation.
Following today's style is also important thing to keep in mind...
How's the trend of manga in your country?
That's what you can refer to.
If a narration says "3 days later" is on the trend,
there's no problem to use it.
Believe your sense of manga.
Many people are using this method today.
It depends on your style.
Depends on your mangaka spirits.

So I want to ship lap these boards
So one will be cut on the show face side, this one, and this will be cut on the non show face side
Now with both show faces up
And sitting on a flat surface

So I'll make an adjustment and keep repeating and sneaking up on it until they match
A very slight adjustment and now with a single cut instead of a multiple cut
They are just perfect
Giving the show face a very slight chamfer on the corners
We'll start with 80 grit and indulge in everybody's favorite pastime
Give it a quick coat of boiled linseed oil and that brings the color right into the
Cedar
And just like that
We have a whole bunch wainscoting done.
A good time to cut these to size
I've got a stop lock set up at 30 inches
We'll take the ugly off one side
And cut to length
Now we can give everything a quick coat of water-based polyurethane and we'll start with the back
And the first coat on the front side
First coat is dry
Give it a little bit of sanding with 320 grit
320 yeah 320
Just to take the raised grain off from water-based polyurethane
Coat number two on the back
The "show" side, so before we actually put the second coat on this one
make sure the dust is off of it
We'll start the second coat
On the "show" side. The underside is done, two coats to protect it, that's it
Getting ready for the final coat
That's a pretty smooth
with two coats on so before I put a third coat on I
Usually hit it with a green scotch-brite pad, but I've only got a grey one which is finer
So we're gonna go over it with a gray scotch-brite pad
And naturally, seeing as this is the final coat
Take a very slightly damped rag and make sure there's no dust on the pieces
Now as a final precaution we're going to strain
Our finish
Into a clean container
So my first piece, that's how far out of level my wall is
So I'm gonna have to rip a bit off of it
So, this is the normal view of the corner, so you have two choices
Put that one in first
or you can put this one in first
but if you're looking
The way that you're looking now
You want to put this one in
And then that one
And that'll make a better hide.
A definite lack of structure behind these...
this dry wall here
So we're gonna use a little bit of construction adhesive on the back of these things
Use 18 gauge brad nails to hold it in place while it dries
And I'm not going to put a whole lot on
A bit at the top and at the bottom
Inch-and-a-half 18-gauge nails
and we'll drive them at a slight angle
I don't want to put these things perfectly tight. So what I've got is a couple of card scrapers.
I'll slip that in
at the bottom

Now, there will be a molding coming across the top of this so I'm not too worried about the nail holes
Just worried about keeping level
And of course there will be a base board along the bottom too
So I think my next piece runs into the cabinet so I'm just gonna leave that off for now until I get a
proper measurement
Now we could start on this side. I hope I don't get too much in your light
Get it level....plumb, I guess

Might take a few tries to get it
We've got a pretty good match there in the corner and it comes up plumb

And carry on

I'm not exactly sure where my trim will come up from my door yet

That's good enough to get the toilet in place
So there we go. We're functional again
We have a little bit of trepidation about the red of the cedar against this floor
But we're hoping the colour will mellow

I've got the part that's hard to keep clean done anyways

and one handy tip
when you're working on your plumbing and you have a rag in the
flange in the bottom
Take the rag out before you set the toilet in
I found that out the hard way just now.
One other thing to consider

You'll be sorely tempted
To put a bead of caulking in there
To make it look nice
resist that temptation
Because if there's ever a leak there you want to know about it right away. You don't want the caulking holding it under there and
rotting in your floor out
so
Just don't put any caulking there

DECISIONS.
They're critical, they are very very important.
Now there are, there are some very practical decisions and very natural decisions I want to talk
about a natural decisions and how important it is that you make good
natural decisions.
When it comes to natural decisions, there are decisions that you
make in order to make them effectively, you need to have very very good
INFORMATION.
How many of you have ever made a decision and then got more
information on the subjects; you say I didn't know that.
You know if I, if I would have known that, it would have changed the decision.
No magic to this, there's no magic to your destiny. It's method to your destiny.
Get rid of your magic mentality about destiny. It's method.
Nobody becomes successful by accident.
They just, I just, I just stumbled into it. You have to purpose your way into it.
You might stumble into an opportunity, but you don't jump up and sing well by accident.
You don't get your degree by accident, I don't know how it is happening just...
You don't raise good kids by accident.
I didn't trying to raise good kids they just happen.
You don't have a strong marriage by accident I don't care how it
love you are when you get married, a good marriage doesn't happen by accident.
We just love each other fifty years later we are here, don't believe it.
It is not happening, it is a conscious decision,
it is effort, it is hard work and it is methodical.
And you cannot make good decisions with poor information which may require that you make slower decisions.
Floor decisions, patient decisions, wise decisions.
Decisions that are not built on desperation.
Desperation is a poor counselor.
So that means that they are making decisions out of your emotions has got to cease.
Just a desperate panic I'm getting older I got to do something

10 years later every time you look at him you you really don't hate him,
you hate your decision.
And some of your anger with the person is really your anger at yourself because you know it was you that got you into that situation,
though you act out your rage on them, you are a victim of the bad decision.

Good and upright is the LORD, therefore will He teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgment. And the meek will He teach His way.
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

What man is he that feareth the LORD, him shall He teach in the way that he shall choose. Teach me how to make good decisions.

This is the guy who makes good decisions, his soul shall dwell at ease.
You're gonna rest in the decisions you make when they're good decisions.
And your children will benefit from good decisions.
Your decisions will either bless your children or be a liability to them.
And it doesn't have to be a sinful decision, it can just be a poor decision.
Stand on a deadbeat job when you had an opportunity to have a better job,
and you decided to stay there and all of a sudden people suffer with you.
It's not a sinful decision, but it was a poor decision.
Buying something you couldn't afford, and all of a sudden, you're a house poor,
you got a lovely house but no groceries.
Every kid has their own bedroom, their own baths, and everything no toilet paper.
So the Bible says, if you will allow God to teach you how to choose,
your soul shall dwell at ease and your seed shall inherit the earth.
Then it says the secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him and He shall show them His covenants.
that's a bird Scripture right there, the secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him.
God said if you fear me, which just means to reverence me,
God said, I will whisper in your ear, hidden information.
I will give you intelligence that you didn't know. I will give you information that you're like it,
I will tell you secrets in the middle of the night.
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him and He shall show them His covenant.
God says if you keep making bad decisions, many times you're making bad decisions because you're not listening to me.
Now I want to make a line of delineation because I want to be clear.
There are some decisions that you don't have to go on a prayer trance to make.
When the stock market start going down, I didn't have to go into a trance...
God if it be your will, I don't know what you want me to do I looked at all
the information, I listened at all of the educated in that area I listened at
them argue about it and I said back when I gathered all information I made a decision.
I don't have to pray in tongues,
When they start shooting in Kroger's I don't have to pray in tongues say
LORD do you want me to go or do you want me to stay or you going to use me in Kroger's today
and you speak to me and whatever you do I will be, I don't need God when I have common sense.
When I get the information, this is dangerous, the door is to my right I have on my tennis shoes,

I don't need a revelation when I have information.
I don't need a revelation when I have information, I need a revelation when the information is hidden.
God have mercy
So we're talking about two different kind of decisions, we're talking about some decisions that just require
natural practical decisions, require surrounding yourself with natural practical information.
But then there are some decisions for which you cannot access the information to make the decision.
They are secrets.
There are secrets, these are destiny decision and the only way you can make a wise decision
where there is no information, is to talk to the guy who knows everything.
Hence, the Bible said if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth liberally as He wills l and upbraideth not.
You are not going to get this out of the book.
You're not going to give this by associating with people of influence.
And people who think that spend their life
sluicing up under people who cannot make it happen for them and then they get
frustrated and bitter and jealous because people aren't working for them
when there are some things people cannot give you.
The secret of the Lord is with him that fear him and He should show them His covenant.
I don't know what God's purpose and plan is for your life, so hanging around me is not gonna unlock it to you.
You have got to go to the God who created you from the dust of the earth,
and show you what your predestined purpose is.
And then make your decisions line up with what he told you.

so I know it works.
Now it's your turn to get the same results.
Step #1 Define what matters to you
I don't care who you are and what you do, you're not going to get along with everyone
you interact with.
If you have a day job, then you have a limited time to socialize that's why you have to be
clear about the types of people you want to meet.
This is important because it's so much easier to spend time with other like-minded individuals.
Whatever you're into, trust me, there are people out there who are also into the same
things as you.
Remember, you become the average of the people you spend the most time with.
You have to be intentional about whom you keep close to you because your environment
shapes who you are.
To give you an example from my own life, I wanted to be surrounded by positive and highly
motivated individuals, so networking with other influencers and entrepreneurs was a
big priority for me.
Step #2 Show up at the right place
Once you're clear about you want to meet, all you have to do is to ask yourself where
do you think these types of people like to hang out.
Make a list of potential places where you could meet them and then identify which ones
you'd enjoy doing as well.
This could be both offline and online.
Start by finding relevant events in your city and being part of communities in your preferred
social networking platforms.
Show up there regularly, provide value, and engage with the other members.
For example, I'm a member of a few business-related Facebook groups.
I also spend a lot of time at trendy coffee shops, co-working spaces, and personal development
seminars.
Why?
Because I know that the type of people I wanted to meet would also be there.
Where you show up to connect with people makes a huge difference so make sure you do a bit
of research and planning.
Step #3 Organize your own events
Remember, the host of the party has the highest social value so you want to become that person.
People want to meet other like-minded people, so take the initiative and bring everyone
cool and interesting you've met together.
Organizing your own events doesn't have to be anything complicated.
It could be as simple as just hosting a dinner party.
For example, I would organize a get-together at a restaurant where I would invite everyone
I met throughout the week, and I would also encourage them to invite their friends.
The key here is to leverage your existing connections.
This is one of the main strategies I've used to grow my social circle in a very short
amount of time.
Be a good host and ensure you make everybody feels welcome.
Mention something interesting when you introduce people to each other so they have something
to work with.
Hosting your own events is also a great way to get invited to other events.
Naturally, people who attend your parties will want to reciprocate by inviting you to
theirs and now you've just tapped into a new group of people that you wouldn't have met.
Step #4 Keep in touch
There's no doubt that social media has really influenced the way we interact with each other.
Not only is it a great tool to amplify your presence online but it's also very useful
for keeping in touch with your existing friends and acquaintances.
Make sure you add people you meet on your preferred social media platform.
I personally use Instagram as my main platform and Facebook as a secondary.
Be proactive about posting content and videos that are authentic to you and make sure you
engage with your friends content as well.
As you can see, learning how to build a social circle from nothing doesn't have to be difficult.
You just have to be intentional about it.
Implement these tips and you'll connect with more like-minded people in no time.

to stand out from everybody else and what I'm actually doing for everybody

guys can stand out and be different and I'm gonna explain why it's very
important to do that in a few minutes but with that said guys as you can see
already I have 58 comments down here I've once shared my 14 likes no guys the
reason is the 58 comments are relevant is because it's literally these people
asking for info we gonna scroll down this keeps growing more and more people
who are interested in what I have what I have to sell what I have to promote
which is of course the Builder all business program and the 30 day
challenge of course guys as soon as somebody asks for info on me scroll back
up so as soon as somebody actually goes ahead and comments info all you have to
do is reply to them in a comment saying hey thanks for the comment this is the
system I use to generate this amount of money and then it send them your your
link your affiliate link to the 30 day challenge and guys it really is that
simple guys on this post alone I generated 58 comments I'm gonna show you
some other posts but guys all this one alone

here it again it's same picture same text because I posted these on the same
day and you guys can go ahead and do the same thing this have like a copy-paste

right there's another 41 interested people 41 potential leads who then some
of them did turn into sales I'm gonna show you one more post right here this
one is a little bit different just because I am testing around some things
guys you want to keep your stuff fresh you want to keep it new and different
I'm gonna explain again exactly why that's so important in just a minute
guys but as you guys can see that the picture
is a little bit different I'm gonna send you this picture as well for everybody
under my team and the text is a little bit different this one I just posts it
not even 24 hours ago but I've already gotten 10 comments on this one as well
so guys with these three posts that's what is that 58 comments and 41 guys
that's all for a hundred people just on these new posts alone I have some more
in other groups but I just wanted to show you guys 3 knots are like
overwhelming guys that's a hundred people who are interested in what I have
to offer that's a hundred potential leads and then guys again some of them
did turn into sales because 100 people even if you just have a 2% conversion
rate you're still making 2 sales about $100 which was again fantastic if you're
just starting out with the builds roll business program if you're bringing guys
this is by far the easiest method you guys can go ahead and use I'm gonna show
you an example of somebody in the group the names Fabio I really this guy's been
killing it has been absolutely crushing in the challenge so far as you guys can
see from his screenshot though 22 days into the challenge he's already made
over $500 and guys he's using this method as well I know that because he's
talked about it in the group and I've also seen his posts and some of the
other of flight marketing and make money groups or guys he's actually one of the
people that's killing it the most right now using this exact method his comments
are absolutely insane he's getting 100-plus comments hundred plus people
that are interested per post so he's definitely one of the best examples and
guys the results are there he's made over 500 dollars reading and you guys
can do the same thing just by using this very simple method with that being so
the guy's just a backtrack a little bit I mentioned how important it is to be
different and be different than everybody else who's using this method
because again guys a lot of the people in the challenge how many people write
in right now I got over 4300 people are already in the challenge so a lot of
them are also going to be using this method
it just works simply simply put it just works Oh a lot of other people are gonna
be using it but the problem that I've been seeing guys is but so many people
in the challenge and so many people using this exact method to start making
sales everybody's using the same exact ad text and the same exact picture and
guys the reason that everybody using the same picture and text is a problem is
because you guys the people they're promoting to all the people that are in
these groups already they've seen the same post over and over and over again
so then I'm asking for him fro anymore they're not interested anymore because
they've seen it a million times and guys you're not getting comments on your
posts then you're not getting any leads and definite not getting any sales so
with that said you it's very important to stand out and be different I'm gonna
show you an example of a screenshot that I've seen posted over and over and over
again in these groups is this one right here guys and of course I'm not calling
anybody out here that's not the point in this video I'm really just trying to
help you guys out here so you guys can actually go ahead and make sales as fast
as possible using this screenshot right here guys I've seen it a million times
I'm not even sure whose screenshot this is to be honest I think it's from the
owner of the challenge I got a screenshot but everybody's using the
same exact one and yeah it's a good screenshot it shows earnings it shows
people making money and stuff like that but the problem is that what everybody
is using it people have seen in a million times and guys the other problem
that I have with this screenshot right now is that it's not even like recent as
you guys can see this screenshot is from September 6 2018 now as I'm recording
this video guys its October 3rd it's already been a month since the
screenshots been taken it's not updated it's not recent and guys the craziest
thing is I've actually seen people in these groups start calling people out
for this I've seen people say hey why are you guys all using the same
screenshot don't you guys have any other results or pictures or anything and I've
seen people also say hey let's touch screenshots from September 6 why isn't
there like a more updated screenshot aren't you guys still making money with
this and obviously guys that is not what you want at all you want people to be
interested and comment info on your posts you don't people calling you out
on your posts so again guys I'm not calling anybody out I'm just trying to
help you guys to my best ability and to do that what I'm doing for everybody on
my team is I'm actually gonna be sending you guys these pictures the pictures I
use to generate all these leads all these sales I'm actually beginning to
you so I'm leaving this one right here as well as this one and I guess I'm
making more and more the reason I was able to generate all these comments all
these interested people is because I wasn't using the same screenshot I
wasn't using the same text as everybody else you got to be different and the
only way to be different is using different texts and different
pictures but of course guys I know that a lot of people who actually went ahead
and signed up with me or just joined the challenge in general they're beginners
they're a little bit newer in the flight marketing and they know how to do this
stuff the same way so what I'm gonna be doing for you guys I'm gonna be creating
new pictures you guys use every single day because you guys I cannot stress how
important it is to be different than everybody else because you guys if
you're just the same person using the same picture with the same text you're
not gonna get you're not gonna generate any interest nobody's gonna ask for info
because they've seen it a million times you need to be using different pictures
different text you guys need to get creative with this stuff like I already
mentioned I know a lot of people won't be able to make this count these kind of
pictures themselves so I'm gonna be sending it to everybody who's on my team
that way you guys can actually go ahead and use this method yourselves but you
guys can go ahead and actually use it effectively I'm not just gonna tell you
to use his method and then send you this picture right here I want to help you
guys out I want to actually see you guys make sales of this so the best way to do
that is just to give me the pictures yourself that way you guys are not too
worried about learning how to do it yourselves or making them yourselves you

How to make PERFECT Swiss Meringue Buttercream - Duration: 3:07.
Hey guys it's Amanda from Just Bakecause.
Today I am sharing my recipe for the perfect Swiss Meringue buttercream.
Swiss Meringue Buttercream, also known as SMBC, is made by heating egg whites and sugar,
whipping it into a meringue, and then adding in softened butter.
This is my favorite buttercream to use when frosting cakes because it is stable, super
creamy and silky, and it doesn't taste too sweet.
What you'll need are: A mixer bowl with the whisk attachment, softened
butter, egg whites, a rubber or silicone spatula, some salt, vanilla, granulated sugar, and
a pot filled with about an inch of water.
On a flat surface such as your table or countertop, start cracking your eggs and separating them,
placing the egg whites into your mixer bowl.
I like to crack my eggs on a table rather than the edge of the bowl because larger cracks
are formed into the egg making it less likely to get shells into your bowl.
Then add your salt and sugar and whisk to combine.
Place your mixing bowl on top of your pot filled with water.
And over medium low heat, let the mixture cook slightly.
Every so often, use your whisk to stir the egg whites.
Tip: Make sure the bottom of your mixing bowl does not touch the water in the pot.
Your mixture will be ready when it is warm and all of the sugar has dissolved.
I like to test this by rubbing a small amount between my fingers and if it is super smooth,
and there are no sugar granules, I am good to go.
Transfer your mixing bowl to your stand and let it whip on high.
Touch the outside of your bowl: if it is room temperature and your meringue has formed stiff
peaks, you can turn your mixer off.
Switch the whisk for your paddle attachment, and then you can add in your butter.
The consistency of your butter should be easily spreadable, almost like peanut butter and
soft enough to easily run your knife through.
Slowly add in your butter, letting it fully incorporate before adding in your next batch.
Stop your mixer and run your spatula around the edges of your bowl to get everything mixed
in evenly.
Add in your flavoring of choice, then continue to beat for about a minute.
At the very end, remove your bowl and use your spatula to mix by hand, knocking out
any remaining air bubbles.
You should end up with a super silky, smooth, and delicious Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

So today I'm gonna be making Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap!
That's right its going to have Colloidal Oatmeal its gonna have Coconut Milk and its gonna
have Manuka Honey!
Yum!
Scrumptious!
It's a really, really, really nice soap for dry skin, for eczema.
I've actually had a lady who said it really helped her with her Backne!
Shhhh!
But it works!!
And it smells delicious like a big steamy bowl of Porridge!
Yum!
If you don't know what porridge is Google it!

So come along with me and I'm gonna show you how to make this Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap!
Squee!
OK so first things first I'm giving my oils and milk a good mix here.
What I do is when I've mixed my lye solution into my water and it's all...
When I've mixed the caustic soda in to the water and it's all hot, I then heat the oils
up so they'd be about the same temperature as the lye.
Then I add frozen milk and blend it in to the oils, and then I let everything cool down
to room temperature or about 24 - 22 degrees Celsius depending on the day.
And here we are, we're adding our cooled lye water to our cooled, or room temperature oils
and milk.
So everything is going to be around about the same temperature, somewhere in that range
of about 20 to 30 degrees Celsius.
You have to be patient to soap like this but I've had the best success soaping this way,
so this is my method and this is how I like to do it.
So now that the lye has been mixed in I'm going to use the stick blender, give it a
bit of a burp, and then blend and bring everything together.
And look at that beautiful spiral of emulsification!
It looks gorgeous!
So this does tend to slightly scorch the milk as you can see, you get this very light tan
colour but it doesn't smell!
And that's what I'm really looking for, if it gets that Ammonia smell you don't want
to carry on.
It's not gonna be a nice soap.
IMO.
So I've learned to use not too much and to keep things just sort of at the right temperature.
So I mean there are a lot of different ways to add milk in to your soaps and I'll leave
a couple of links below with different ways I've done it in the past.
Not always with milk, sometimes with fresh produce.
But you can freeze it and then you can rest that in an ice bath and you can slowly add
the lye to your frozen milk if you want to have 100% milk instead of just doing a water
discount and adding a little bit of milk like I do.
And yeah so, and you can also add the milk at trace in liquid form.
So once you've brought your soap to trace then you can go ahead and add a little bit
of your milk if you wanna do it that way.
Again doing a water discount and again making sure that your milk you're adding is around
about the same temperature as your soap batter.
That way hopefully nothing scorches but y'know milk soaps can be a little bit tricky.
It's not something you wanna try as your first soap project that you ever do, guys, so if
you're a beginner you might wanna put this on your list of things to try once you're
feeling a little bit more confident at making that soap behave.

So I'm now just separating out my soap in to some different portions.
I've got some honey mixed in to some oil here that I'm gonna add in to the main part of
the soap now and I'm also gonna come back and add some colloidal oatmeal in there as
well.
So that is the manuka honey with some olive oil that is going in right now.
And I've got two jugs with different colours, one is my Mocha Mica that makes a really lovely
dark brown.
And the other is just going to have some Titanium Dioxide and be white.
So the jug that is white will have no fragrance added to it.
Because the fragrances I'm using contain Vanillin and can discolour the soap, so I really don't
want that white to be affected.
I want the white to stay bright and I want the other colours to slowly tan.
So here's my colloidal oatmeal, I got mine from Pure Nature, they're a soap and candle

So I'm just giving it a bit of a mix with the spatula here but I will have to come back
through with the stick blender to get that colloidal oatmeal to incorporate thouroughly
in to the soap batter.
And I'm gonna mix with a spatula to get these colours dispersed because they don't really
need the stick blender.
The mica just blends beautifully in to the soap and look at that lovely colour!
And I can go ahead and add some fragrance to this because it's already a dark brown!
So that's kinda neat!
The fragrances I'm using are a blend.
One is called Oatmeal Milk and Honey but it smells very strong of almonds to me personally,
and the other one is Cinnamon Vanilla which I really like, its just a really lovely warm
vanilla scent that perfectly represents the oatmeal milk and honey soap.
So I really love it and I used to only use it but I've found that I like the blend of
the two!
So I'm just mixing the titanium dioxide in to the jug now, and I'm just gonna add a little
bit more titanium dioxide in there because I'm not quite happy with that shade.
I want it to really pop!
I want it to be white and I want it to be an accent colour that goes against the plain
base with all of the lovely manuka honey and the milk and the oatmeal in it and also this
dark colour will be the other accent to stand out against the base.
So I'm just bringing my stick blender in now to give the base a really good mixey mixey!
We want to try to make sure that, that colloidal oatmeal is really thoroughly dispersed and
mixed in to everything and there aren't gonna be clumps of it.
At the same time though we don't wanna mix too much and end up with a super thick soap
so there's a balance there.
I think I've reached it, I'm quite happy with that now.
It's not too thick as you can see it's still quite watery and hopefully I've got all of
that colloidal oatmeal blended through the soap.
So now I'm just adding my fragrance this is the cinnamon vanilla and I already added the
oatmeal milk and honey but I cut that sorry, I really really like this blend.
I've actually got a little bit of French Vanilla that I'm putting in there as well just to
bring up the sweetness.
And that cinnamon spiciness it's just brilliant!
It makes me think of a lovely big steaming bowl of porridge on a cold winters' morning!
So in New Zealand porridge is a fairly common breakfast, and it is usually just rolled oats
that has been cooked, with a little bit of salt and a little bit of sugar and it's getting
that salt and sugar balance, is really key!
You definitely want that bit of salt!
I know that sounds weird but you also want that sugar!
Then we serve it piping hot and we add milk, and it sort of floats in the milk and then
you can add a little bit of golden syrup or some sugar.
I tend to use soft brown sugar on mine its my favourite!
And then you dig in!
And it's a hearty, sweet and savoury, delicious breakfast.
It's sort of similar to what you American's have that you call grits except for the sweetness.
Grits I think are usually savoury, so correct me if I'm wrong in the comments below!

So now I'm gonna go ahead and add most of my base in to the molds and just about fill
them right up.
Before I'm going to pour my accent colours in.
And I'm gonna be holding the jugs up high when I pour in the accent colours so that
I get them to penetrate down in to the soap better.
So if you want the soap to sit...
If you want those colours to just sit on the very top then pour very close to the surface,
but if you want it to drop right down, pour from a bit higher up just like this.
And that way you guarantee the colour is going to go down and in to the soap and not just
sit on the top.
Again this is gonna depend on the consistency of your soap.
If you have really really thick soap batter its gonna be really difficult for the colours
to drop down, you've got to have everything at the just the right consistency.
And I've been doing this for quite a while now so I like to think I've mastered it.
But there are still times when the soap catches me off guard.
Haha!
So now that I have poured the colours in, and I've kept a little bit back of the two
colours for the top of the soap, I'm gonna scrape the last of the base in to there.
And then I can tap it down to release any air bubbles before I come back through and
use my hanger tool to give it a beautiful hanger swirl inside!
And then its going to have really cool surprise patterns in every bar!
And this is one of my favourite parts of this whole process now!
I love cutting the bars and seeing what swirl we got!
It's like Christmas morning!
Giggle!
So I'm scraping every last little bit of soap off my hanger tool and then I'm cleaning my
hanger tool.
Before I come back through with these colours like I said and line them across the top.
Now I'm not gonna be too particular about making perfect lines here because I'm gonna
be swirling but I really do want that pattern of the white and the dark and the white and
the dark.
This'll make my final swirl really really pop and stand out!
So this is something I love doing!
I don't always leave enough soap back to do it but I really love swirling it, like the
final stage with the skewer where I come through and swirl it I really feel like an artist!!
Giggle!
And I grew up in a family where my brother was the artist not me.
So its really nice to get that feeling like look at my art that I'm creating!
So here is that magical moment where I get to come through with the skewer and swirl the top.
It sits overnight and we're back again the next day to cut the soap bars!
Now I've put real whole oats on the top of my soap and I don't want them to cause drag
lines through every bar of soap so I'm lying the whole loaf on its side before I cut it.
This way the oats will not get pulled through the bar and leave horrible lines and you'll
get to see a nice swirl.
Cause as we talked about that's what I'm excited about! *gasp* Oh my gosh!
The first swirl is a butterfly!
That is so beatiful!
The white is not as white as I would've hoped but as the soap cures and darkens a little
bit with that vanillin content I should find that it gets darker on the base and that the
white stands out even more!
I really really love this soap!
I always have a bar of it myself, this one and Pumpkin Chai!
They're my personal favourites!
And I love how the design has worked out!
It's still simple and hopefully its not so pretty that people look at it and they think
I don't wanna use that!
I'm really trying to aim for that with my soaps at the moment, I want them to be beautiful
still but I really want people to look at it and think I wanna use that soap!
Haha!
And I get a lot with my cake soaps, my cupcakes or whatever like that, they just, they think
oh it's gonna look so beautiful in my bathroom and I'm just gonna always have it there to
look at.
I'm like 'Hey guys I'll make more!
You've gotta use it!'

and I don't like to wear aluminum in my deodorant which
is basically thing that isn't an antiperspirant
so which is really difficult to find in a lot of deodorants and if you do find
natural deodorants sometimes they don't really work well.
um so I made a number
of recipes and I found a deodorant recipe that works for me that makes me not smell bad
but I still get to sweat.
which is I don't know a my opinion good.
there's water in this pot and then you put a heat proof...

over it and that's how
you make a double boiler.
I have a number of recipes here and there's a variety of
different ways that you can do it.
I like using shea butter as my core because
it's better for the skin but you can use coconut oil which is been the trend for
a couple years now.

So what I want to use instead which is what of all of the other recipes have,
By all of them I mean two.
Which is Baking Soda.
Now this is where you have to be careful.
So baking soda is what makes natural deodorant work.
If you don't use this you will probably still smell bad.
But the problem with it with using it is that it is an irritant.
So if you shave your armpits like myself,
and you put it on you might get some
irritation.
So this is half a tablespoon which I think is a teaspoon?
I don't have a full tablespoon with me.
Oh my god Bunny.
I have one but it's silver and it'll reflect the green screen.
Here- you whisk,a nd I'll pour.
Count to four.

It's getting really bubbly, is that supposed to happen?
Well, baking soda will make stuff bubble.

Aw man this is- the whole bottle was corrupted. It's all oily and gross now.
So this is vitamin E oil.
And it's five drops. You can buy vitamin E capsules instead and do that if you with a knife.

So good luck getting-figuring out what drops are.

Alright! So now it's fun part. So we get to use essential oils.
Now this can be anything that you have or want.
But what we're definitely going to use is lavender oil.
We're using lavender oil because lavender oil is anti-bacterial.
And depending on the recipie you use,
I have anywhere between 20-
20 sounds like a lot.
It is a lot. 20 to- this recipe calls for 60.
WHOA!

So, we've waited for our deodorants to cool a little bit in the refrigerator.

Well, we're going to at least touch them so we can see what they feel like.
I, instead of adding the coconut oil we used double the shea butter.
And so it's a little hard.
If you press down you can get some up-oh great it's under my fingernail now.
and this is like far more then you'd ever need to use, for an armpit.
You'd need about like,

So this, on my finger here is about good for...

is enough for two armpits.
I'm gonna put it in my armpits.

It does smell a lot like lavender and,

Yeah I mean, it smells good. If it works

So, like I said, the only thing to be careful about is the baking soda.
If you don't shave it'll be... easier.
If you sweat a lot it might (I don't shave)
it might get a little irritated but otherwise (I do sweat a lot)
We'll find out.
We'll find out how irritated it makes your armpits.
I found this recipe works really well for me and you can use any essential
oils for the scents you like. Not just the ones that I have you can use other ones
like peppermint if you like mint.
I just like lavender because of the smell and the anti-bacterial.
Mint is good for the holidays.

How To Make The Law Of Attraction Work For You - Duration: 10:41.
My five-step formula will help you manifest what is timely incorrect with grace and ease.
Hi, I'm Carol Tuttle.
I have had the extraordinary experience o,f not only healing my own life, but helping
millions of people heal and create lives they love.
I'm a teacher, healer, a best-selling author of six books, most recently, "Mastering Affluence,
6 Lessons to Create a Life You Love."
This five-step formula is something I've taught for decades.
It has helped me really understand how to make the law of attraction work.
These five steps, you'll notice, that you actually practice unknowingly as you become
aware of them, you can actually use them more conscientiously to get more results out of
the law of attraction.
Now, the first step is desire.
What do you want?
Now, you might have been raised with your wants squished, meaning you were told "No"
a lot.
It's not okay to want, it's selfish to want, no, you can't have that.
Good things happen for those who wait, you have to work hard to deserve it.
A lot of struggle has been presented to you throughout your life, so my book, "Mastering
Affluence," will help you clean that all up.
You have healthy wants, desires.
God wants you to have those wants, those desires, they're timely and correct.
Not just the basics in life, but maybe you want a really amazing vacation with your family
and you haven't been on one for 3, 5, 10 years, that's a wonderful want.
So, let's just take the experience of a new car.
That's something that we actually are supported by in our cultures.
Most of this use cars for transportation.
You want a new car, you want a car that works well, so that's your want.
Now , you're going to ask, who do you ask?
Well, that just depends on your spiritual practices, your belief system.
You can ask the universe, you can ask God in a formal prayer, you cannot…ask angels.
You can ask nature, you can ask your higher self.
You can just ask the universe.
It's really your preference.
Asking though employees a power beyond yourself knowing there's a system at work that I'm
just a part of.
The law of attraction involves me and a force beyond myself that I am engaging to the benefit
of myself.
And so you're asking and you're also letting go of it in a way.
You're letting go knowing that you've planted the seed.
The seed has everything in it to know how to materialize, just like you plant a seed
in a garden.
You don't have to tell the seed what to do.
It's innately programmed in the seed.
So is the practice of creation.
Now, the third step is belief.
Now that you've asked, you need to believe it's possible.
You need to trust, you need to know that what you want is good, it's timely, it's correct,
it's desirable, you can have it.
So, you need to believe, that's where affirmations come into practice, this is where different
creation tools that I teach really, really feed your belief.
You've got to really feed the belief.
For now, you have to allow, get out of your own way, you got to like trust.
If there's something for you to do, you'll be inspired, I call that inspired action.
Some people, events will play out to support that materializing even better than you could
ever hope for or create on your own.
It's like, I wonder how and when this is going to show up, it's going to be amazing.
And the fifth is to receive it with gratitude.
Expressing gratitude actually starts the cycle all over, so it looks like this.
Round and round the creation process because when you express gratitude, you initiate more
things showing up in your life for you to feel grateful for.
So, it's this beautiful creation cycle that you keep as a constant in your life.
Now, where does this get tricky?
Well, let's take that new car and I want you to use a rating scale from 0 to 10.
Usually, your desires are very, very strong.
So, let's say there's something you really, really want.
We're just using the car as a reference point to teach this.
So, you really, really want a car.
So, on a scale from 0 being not wanting it at all, to 10, I really, really want this,
rate your desire.
Typically it's up there in the 7, 8, 9, 10, you really want it.
It's something that you'd love to experience, plus there's practical reasons for it.
And it would be really supportive to you living a joyful life to have that.
Then you go down to belief and you rate your belief, how much do you believe it's possible?
Are old beliefs getting in the way?
You don't deserve it, you can't have what you want, old programming from your childhood,
old family story programming, things were put down, you know, it's better to go without,
all this stuff that then interferes.
So, now let's say you rate your belief, and maybe your belief is only a 2 or a 3.
Well, guess what happens?
What do you do typically when your desire and belief are not aligned?
You usually shrink your desires, you usually say, "Well, it's okay, it's not that bad,
I can go without it.
You know?
I should be grateful for what I have."
You try and minimize the desire that you don't really desire it as much.
You play all these mind games with yourself saying it's not that important, I'm going
to try and shrink my desire because quite honestly, I don't have the belief to allow
to happen.
People are notorious for doing this, settling for last, mediocrity, living in compromised
states because they just don't believe they're worth it, they deserve it, and it can happen.
So, what do you want to do about that?
Well, certainly, stop minimizing your desire, you want to feed your belief.
You want to grow the belief, feed it, get it up to a 9 or 10.
Well, how do you do that?
We're going to do it right now and we're going to tap on two have your main meridian points.
Your energy pathways are running all through your body.
We're going to help get the mind to think it, the emotion to feel it, and the body to
own it.
And these K27s are really just, kind of, in the collar.
It's a pretty large area you can tap on just in the collarbone area.
Take a deep breath.
Think of something you desire, I'm going to use the car.
You fill in whatever works for you.
I'm grateful I can have a new car.
I'm grateful that it's a car that runs really well and it's dependable.
It's amazing how easy my car shows up for me.
It's easy to come by.
It sort of just lands in my lap.
I'm really happy to experience the unfolding of events that lead to my purchasing and owning
a new car.
I love my new car, I love how it smells, I love the way I feel when I drive it.
I love looking at the color of the car, and the interior, I enjoy keeping it clean.
I'm grateful that I'm receiving this with grace and ease.
Take a deep breath.
You could even just listen to me.
I know I went through those pretty quick, but I want to give you this idea, see?
Feed your belief.
Tapping on your K27 points will help strengthen the mind's belief, the mind really thinking
it, the feeling, your emotions feeling it, and the body owning it because you're actually
engaging the body as well.
And you can do this just for a few minutes every day, right?
You can say the same ones.
The mind doesn't care if there's a variety of thoughts.
It's just raising the belief, the vibration of belief to match your desire and keep encouraging
and feeding that because that's when the law of attraction works for you.
The reason it's not been working is your belief's been short of your desire as far as it being
a strong.
When you get that belief strong and the vibration of your desire and your belief are aligned
and harmonized, magic happens, things show up.
You are the one saying, "Oh my gosh, it's like it just came out of the woodwork.
It fell out of the sky.
It's so easy.
Things just show up for me.
Wow."
Good for you to be open to being a creator of your life.
God wants you to show up, take accountability and make your life better so you can make
a difference in the world.
You know, you get to a point that I've gotten to that so many things are going well and
you feel good that you really are free of your own struggle to now make a really healthy
contribution that matters and makes a difference in people's lives.
And I'm grateful I've done the work I have so I can help you do the same because that's
what you really want.
You really want to show your good works and do good works in the world, so thank you for
being that kind of person.

My Dad Teaches Me How To Make A Stained Glass Window - Duration: 5:56.
I'm at my parents place and my dad's gonna teach me how to make a stained
glass window. We'll use this kind of mould
that's just a square wooden frame. This is square. Tape it and this will be the base.
and what we are going to do is fill it in out with lead strips and then we have
to cut the glasses at the right size move from the left bottom corner all the
way to the right. We're gonna use three types of strips. The ones on the outside
and you can see it here, is called 'U'. You can see why. Then for most of the glass
in between we're gonna use this H strip. So you put glass in here and in here and
for the middle section we're gonna use an H strip with a thicker core and that
will give extra strength. Yeah, so let's just put it down.
You press a bit, not too much and then I'll pull and that will give this very
flexible LED strip a bit more strength. This is a LED knife it's to cut lead
so for instance this last part we have just damaged a bit. And I can just cut it
like that. All you need to do. With this you can open it. Just to make sure you
open up the lead again. 'Cause here in the end you see it's closed because you put
pressure on it. Or if I would like to put another piece say into it, you can make
it wider with just the thickening of that. The first U we can put here. We'll
use these lead nails quite a bit. Pieces of glass will fit in here
and when you when you have fixed it and you want to set it you can again use it
with these nails to push it. We've made a double drawing. The first drawing we'll
use as the surface of The second one we've got all of these
samples of what we needed to cut and then we have also big pieces of glass.
The question is how do you cut it? You cut it with a glass cutter, which is a very
small diamond kind of cutter in in the tool.
whatever you gonna cut you have to break. How can I cut the glass such that I
minimize the amount of glass I waste? I will try to cut it first in the shape
that I cut it in one go and I only use this piece and then all of the glass here at
the very top of it might be waste but the rest I can still use for the next
one. And I trace it a special white pen for it. You can see
it in a minute I'll take this away. And the most important thing of any glass is
try to do it in one go. The cutter itself very straight and then and now the scary
part comes and it's breaking the glass. This is where you can see the line and I
put it on an edge, already done. So this is indeed as simple as it was.

How to make Rasam - Madras style | തമിഴ് സ്റ്റൈൽ രസം (English Subtitles) - Duration: 4:25.
Today's recipe is for a basic rasam
A Tamil style meals is incomplete without the rasam
Lets see how to make it
First we will prepare a masala by coarsely grinding cumin, peppercorns, garlic, green chili & coriander stalks
Coriander stalks is optional
If you don't like the rasam spicy, you can add just 1 green chili or none
Add some hot water to the tomato and peel off the skin
You can skip this step and instead add diced tomatoes
Soak tamarind in hot water. After 5 minutes, extract the pulp, filter and keep aside
In a pan, heat some oil and splutter mustard seeds
Add 1 dry red chili
Now add the coarsely ground masala and fry in medium heat for 2 minutes
Add a pinch of asafoetida powder
Now add the tomatoes
Add required salt
Cook for 2 minutes
Now add the tamarind extract
Also 1 cup water
Add a pinch of turmeric powder
Close the lid. Let it stay on medium - low heat for at least 15 minutes
The rasam should not boil as this will increase the sourness of the tamarind
Let it heat for 15 - 20 minutes and then we can switch off the flame right before it starts to boil
Its been 20 minutes now. You can check and adjust for salt
Garnish with lots of coriander leaves
You will know the rasam is ready when the white froth starts appearing (as seen here)
You can switch off the flame now
Rasam is ready now
Let it sit for a minimum of half hour before consuming
