Youtube daily was Sep 26 2018

Jesus told us, "Do not judge," but the Apostle Paul told the Corinthians to judge.

So who's right?

Stay tuned.

Hi, welcome to today's little lesson.

We're working our way through the Sermon on the Mount.

Thanks for joining me on this special farm field edition.

And here we are once again in the first verses of Matthew chapter seven, Jesus' very famous

words about, "Do not judge, lest you be judged," and so forth and warned us about looking for

the speck in our brother's eye when we've got a log in our own eye.

Now notice what He said to do.

He didn't say, "Don't worry about at all about the speck in your brother's eye."

He said, "First, take the log out of your eye, you hypocrite, and then you'll see clearly

to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

So there is a place ... let me get this little bug off the lens here.

There is a place for finding a speck.

You've just got to make sure you don't have the log in your own eye, and that's the jist,

the overriding message of what Jesus is saying in these verses.

He's not saying we should never make a spiritual appraisal, because the fact of the matter

is, we have to make spiritual appraisals if we're going to obey even everything that Jesus

said on the Sermon on the Mount.

We're going to have to make spiritual appraisals.

He's about to say, in just a few verses here, "Don't cast your pearls before swine and don't

give what is valuable to dogs."

Now He's not talking, obviously, about literal pigs and literal dogs here.

He's talking about people who have, spiritually speaking they're pigs and dogs, and He says,

"Don't be taking what is valuable and giving that to people who don't value it."

Well, you have to make a spiritual appraisal, don't you, to determine whether a person's

a spiritual pig or a spiritual dog.

And I'll give you a little hint on how to do that.

You throw them one pearl.

Sure.

Throw them one pearl.

He just said, "Don't cast your pearls."

Kind of maybe being a little bit too technical.

He said, "Don't cast your pearls before the swine," so if you cast one pearl, that's not

pearls, that's singular pearl, and then you see.

What do they do?

Do they appreciate this?

Do they value this?

Are they interested in spiritual things?

Are they interested in Jesus?

Are they interested in the Gospel?

Do they want to talk about God?

Or do they quickly change the subject or come up with some smokescreen and so forth?

Well then you know.

I cast my pearl and I'm not going to cast any more pearls because I just discovered

myself a spiritual pig or a spiritual dog.

But my point is, you have to judge them, right?

Right.

And there are other passages of Scripture that help to bring a balance to all this,

sure.

Paul writes to the Corinthians, and there's a problem in the Corinthian church.

There's a guy there living in an immoral, sexually immoral, relationship apparently

with his stepmother.

Somebody has his father's wife, Paul says.

Let me read to you First Corinthians chapter five, verse number one.

"It is actually reported that there is immorality among you.

An immorality of such a kind does not even exist among the Gentiles, that someone has

his father's wife."

This is a gross immorality.

This guy posing as a Christian in the church and sleeping with his stepmother.

"You have become arrogant, and have not mourned instead," Paul says, "So that the one who

has done this deed should be removed from your midst."

So Paul's saying this guy should be gone.

He should have already been removed from your midst.

You should have judged him.

Not misjudged him, but the reports are true.

There's no doubt about it.

The evidence is stacked against this guy.

This is not a rumor.

This is not some kind of an innuendo.

This is a fact.

The guy is sleeping with his stepmother.

So Paul says in verse number three of First Corinthians five, "For I, on my part, though

absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this

as though I were present."

See, so Paul didn't interpret Jesus' words, "Do not judge" like a lot of Christians do.

Why?

Because Paul was not stupid, that's why, and he realized that what Jesus said was within

the context of everything that Jesus said, and Jesus was not saying, no way was He saying,

"Don't make a spiritual appraisal."

As I've already said, He told us to make spiritual appraisals of people.

We have to do that.

Jesus was talking about being the fault finder, particularly the fault finder who doesn't

have a right to find fault because he or she has the log in their own eye, right, and they're

setting a standard for other people to attain that they themselves don't even attain to.

That's hypocrisy.

Jesus doesn't want us to be that way.

So, Paul says, "I've already judged this guy as though I were present," and so he gives

them instruction.

"In the name of the Lord Jesus, when you are assembled and I with you in spirit, with the

power of the Lord Jesus, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh

so that his spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus."

So, I'm not sure I fully understand that, but they're doing some kind of public proclamation.

They're saying, "We excommunicate this guy from our midst.

You can't be calling yourself a Christian and doing what you're doing, so we have to

disassociate with you.

We can't eat with you any longer.

We can't allow you to come to our gatherings and so forth because you're misrepresenting

Christ.

You're a gross stain on the church.

We don't want people looking at the church and think it's made up of people like you

because it's not, not the true Church anyways.

And so we've got to get you out.

So we're delivering you to Satan, but our hope is not that you'll be damned in the end.

Our hope is that you'll saved.

We're hoping that this will cause you to ponder, cause you to think, realize that you really

can't be a Christian and do what you're doing, because no immoral person's going to inherit

the kingdom of God.

So we're hoping you come to your senses and repent, and therefore your spirit will be

saved in the day of our Lord Jesus."

A couple of verses later, Paul elaborates even more.

"I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people," so a previous letter.

"I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, with the covetous and with

the swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you'd have to go out of the world and you

can't avoid these people.

But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother.

He's not really a brother if he is an immoral person, like the guy I'm telling you to excommunicate

and deliver over to Satan.

Or covetous.

Or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler.

Not even to eat with such a one.

For what have I to do with judging outsiders," Paul asks.

"Do you not judge those who are within the church?"

So what he is saying, is it's a rhetorical question.

"Come on guys.

You're supposed to be judging people within the church.

And if people don't measure up to the standard that God has set, when God says, "If you do

these things, you're not a Christian."

If you're not keeping God's standard, well, you're failing as a church.

You're failing as a church.

Lot of things we could say about this.

"But those who are on the outside, God judges."

So he's saying the church has the right to be judging its own members.

Now, not again, looking for the little specks.

We all have plenty of specks.

But when somebody has a log in their eye and they're guilty of sexual immorality and you're

not, because you're being faithful sexually.

You're not sleeping around.

If you're married, you're faithful to your spouse and so forth, then you have a right.

You don't have a log in your eye.

You've cleared the log out of your eye when you came to Jesus if you were sexually immoral.

Now you repented of that, and now you have not only the right but the obligation to be

looking at those within the church, not with condemnation but with love.

"Oh my goodness, you're in the church, you think you're a Christian but you're sleeping

around?

I love you.

God loves you.

You're deceived.

You don't want to be in that situation, so let me help you understand how God feels about

this.

We have to send you out of here.

You can't come anymore, until you repent.

Then we'll welcome you back because this is a church or merciful, gracious people who've

all repented."

Amen.

Okay.

Well, more to say about this in our next little lesson.

Thank you so much for joining me.

It's been a joy sharing with you out here in this beautiful place this evening.

God bless.

Mom, 20, who was beaten by cops on a New Jersey beach charged with assault after refusing plea deal - Duration: 7:12.

The 20-year-old mother who was beaten by a law enforcement officer at a New Jersey beach in June has been charged after refusing a plea deal in July

Emily Weinman was indicted last Tuesday on two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, throwing bodily fluids, and obstruction the New York Post reports

Body cam footage and bystander video from the incident on Wildwood Beach where the she celebrated Memorial Day with her 18-month-old daughter, shows the scuffle with Thomas Cannon and Robert Jordan

The temporary help staff were placed on administrative leave this summer but were cleared of any wrongdoing after previously being under an non-criminal but internal investigation

Her attorney Stephen Dicht was furious about the outcome from the Cape May Grand Jury, telling the Post: 'We welcome the chance to vindicate Emily and show that police are the culprit in this case, not her

' It started when officers came up to the Philadelphia woman and questioned her about unopened alcohol

To prove she hadn't been drinking, Weinman took and passed two breathalyzer tests, but refused to cooperate with the cops further when they demanded that she give them her last name

Witnesses recorded the officers then tackling Weinman to the ground, Cannon hitting her twice in the head, as they struggled to put her into handcuffs

When the video started going viral online, the officers received more attention as Weinman appeared on TV shows

In an interview on CBS on Wednesday morning, she said it was unfair how she was treated and claimed the officers thought they were above the law which, she says, they have proven to be

'They think that because they're cops they can get away with it and that's not the case, that's not right at all

'In my eyes, I'm not a criminal.I'm not a bad person,' she said.In an earlier interview on GMA, Weinman said the experience had been 'emotionally exhausting' for her

Weinman said she 'didn't really see the point' in giving the officers her name.'Something in my gut was just telling me something wasn't right with the situation and I just knew in my rights I didn't have to give them my name due to everything that they did

I cooperated and, like I said, I did everything that they asked to,' she said. When asked if the reason she didn't want to give her name was because she was on probation for another 2016 arrest, Weinman responded: 'No, not mainly, no

' She was also questioned about the officers' allegation that she was the first to strike

The officers said she also kicked and spit at them. While Weinman said she may have kicked after they started being forceful with her, she never intended to spit at them

Her lawyer said there's no video supporting she threw bodily fluids at them according to NBC News

'When he smashed my head into the ground I got sand in my mouth, so when they got me to the point where they got me on my stomach, you know, after I was like done struggling, trying to defend myself, I spit the sand in my mouth which makes me look like I was spitting at the officer, but that wasn't the case and it definitely wasn't my intention at all,' she said

Weinman's attorney accompanied her to the interview, and pointed out that the she wasn't hit with the most serious charges until after the bystander video started going viral

'The Saturday when she was taken into custody, she was in custody for a total of about 40 minutes

She was taken in, she was charged with misdemeanors. After the bystander video came out and started getting attention, that's when they charged her with aggravated assault, that's when they piled on,' he said

Her lawyer also condemned the Wildwood mayor, who has defended the cops' actions and said that Weinman was 'no angel'

'All the things the mayor has said about her - she didn't go out that Saturday looking for trouble

She went to have a fun time on the beach with her daughter and they're the police officers,' Dicht said

After the video came out, Weinman says she's faced all sorts of critics online.'I've been real anxious over it

Kind of upset.Just the neg things that people say about me.They see  one video, one situation, and they start saying all this negative stuff about a person

But one situation doesn't define someone.I'm not a bad person.I'm not this person that they're out here trying to make me seem like,' she said

What is The #1 Best Penny Stock Pattern to Learn? - Duration: 5:58.

- What's up?

Tim Sykes, millionaire, mentor and trader

here answering your questions.

A lot of people say, "What is the best pattern?

"What is the best strategy if I could just learn one?"

And my answer is that there is no one magic formula.

There is no one magic pattern

or magic strategy to success.

The problem, the gift and the curse,

the good and the bad is that the stock market,

and especially low price stocks, it's a moving target.

Sometimes earnings winners are great.

This is why I have 300 plus video lessons

on earnings winners on Profit.ly.

Sometimes, dip buying morning panics are great.

This is why I now have 600 video lessons on that.

Oftentimes buying multi-day breakouts on OTCs,

I have 700 plus video lessons on that.

Sometimes short selling first red day

or shorting into morning spikes,

I have video lessons on that.

It's good to learn a whole bunch

of different strategies and different patterns.

The good news is there's not unlimited patterns.

There's not unlimited strategies.

You can boil it all down to basically

maybe a dozen, maybe two dozen patterns, that's it.

And if you learn each of them

and you'll have favorites and you'll have

things that you just don't like.

If you learn each of them, you'll be prepared

if and when the strategy changes.

I'll give you an example.

Back in 1999 and 2000, when I first got started,

I made nearly a million dollars

on one pattern, buying penny stock breakouts.

But as 2000 happened and the Nasdaq crashed,

2001, 2002, the whole market was crashing,

there were no more penny stock breakouts.

I had to adapt and I made my second million

by short selling the pumps.

So, I didn't even know about short selling at first.

I'm very thankful, I'm very grateful

because if I had learned short selling

in '98 and '99, I probably would have been wiped out.

Short selling became very, very good

back in 2000, 2001, 2002.

So, I learned both of them.

Now, I've made millions going long.

I've made millions going short.

I mainly go long these days just because

I'm a teacher and most students,

even when I profit very well shorting,

students don't like it.

Students get offended, they can't find shares,

they're short, it hurts their head.

Sometimes I have a 20 or 30% win on a short,

shorting a pump and dump at Interactive Brokers.

Interactive Brokers oftentimes has shares

to short, but a lot of people

can't afford Interactive Brokers.

A lot of people don't want to know how to short sell

and so they literally get offended, like they cancel.

They stop their education short

because they're like, "This hurts my brain."

And I'm like, "I don't want anybody to stop their education

"because they don't like a strategy."

For me, I've tailored my strategy.

I've tailored my trading to you guys, the students.

This is why I trade with a small account

because I show how to grow a small account

and I show how to grow it exponentially.

And frankly I think for that, dip buying

morning panics and buying breakouts is best.

But, I know a lot of students who do like short selling.

Try all these different strategies,

learn from different traders,

learn from me, learn from Tim Grittani,

learn from Mark Crook and Michael Goode.

We're all in the Trading Challenge,

in the Trading Challenge chatroom.

We give live webinars every single week

so that you can take a little something from each of us.

None of us have the exact same strategy.

We've all made seven figures which is kind of cool,

learning from experienced, self-made millionaires,

which I don't think you have that anywhere else.

You have a lot of newbies teaching these days.

You have a lot of people who claim to be millionaires.

They don't show every single trade.

They don't show their tax returns.

They don't show their audits.

So, you have a lot of fakers.

We're real, for better or worse.

We don't win every single time.

A lot of the time we make mistakes,

but we're gonna be honest about it.

You can learn from mistakes.

I'm not ashamed of the mistakes that I make.

I'm not ashamed when sometimes I screw up.

I'm not ashamed sometimes when I lose.

Sometimes I just buy a stock and I'm just dead wrong.

I buy into a wall of sellers and the stock

just cracks and I cut my losses quick.

That's rule number one.

So, I'm gonna try to teach you

every single thing that I've learned.

I'm gonna try to teach you

multiple strategies, multiple patterns.

Don't feel like you have to copy me

on any one trade or any one strategy.

In fact, I want you to be self-sufficient.

That's the beautiful thing about all my top students.

They haven't just made a lot of money.

They don't need me anymore.

I'm just training wheels.

I don't want you to need me two,

three, five, ten years from now.

I can be your introduction and that's what I like.

A lot of people don't have any mentor in the beginning.

I think Wall Street and almost all of social media

is not geared towards people with small accounts.

Brokers don't like me cause I say,

"Don't trade as much as you think that you should."

Brokers make their money through commissions.

I make my money through students

and I still trade too, but I donate

my trading profits to charity.

My main business is teaching

so I'm invested in your success.

The more successful you are,

the more successful my main business is

and, frankly, the happier I am.

I get a lot of enjoyment and a lot of fulfillment

out of creating millionaire students

and creating students who, frankly,

are very self-sufficient within a few years.

That's my whole goal here.

So, leave a comment just below this video.

Let me know if this makes sense.

I'll teach you multiple different strategies and patterns.

You choose what works best for you.

And don't be afraid if you might like one pattern

and then a year later or two years later

you might be like, "Oh, I see

"this other pattern that's growing on me."

That's cool, it's not an exact science.

You always have to be adapting.

You have to think of yourself as a scientist

and you're always experimenting,

you're always trying different stuff and seeing what works.

That's what you can do.

Cheers, I hope you have a good day.

Hey, Tim Sykes, millionaire, mentor and trader.

Thank you for watching my videos.

I hope that they help you.

I want to share everything that I've learned over the years.

You can check out more videos right over there

and also click Subscribe so that you can watch

all of these videos, get that knowledge

and become my next millionaire student.

Paula Abdul's Family: Not Everything Goes As It Was Planned - Duration: 2:47.

Paula Abdul is known not only in the US but all across the globe as a super-talented choreographer,

a pop singer with platinum albums, an actress and finally, a businesswoman.

She began her career as a cheerleader and quickly moved on to becoming a recognized

choreographer.

She was then noticed by The Jackson 5 for who she worked as a dance director's assistant.

Then she released her first album yet remained out of the spotlight.

Her star started shining again in 2002, when she joined extremely popular TV show American

Idol.

Paula's father, Harry was a business owner.

He was a great parent even though he divorced Larraine when Paula was just 7.

They were co-parenting the kids and have always been very close.

At some point in his life, Harry was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the singer appreciates

every single moment he recognizes her.

The mother, Larraine was one of biggest supporters in daughter's life.

She could often be seen with her at different events, like getting a star at the Hollywood

Walk of Fame in 1991.

Lorraine passed away in 2018 with both daughters by her side.

The outstanding choreographer has an elder sister named Wendy.

Both sisters share a tight bond and are always there for each other in times of need.

Abdul first walked down the aisle with a director, an actor and a writer, Emilio Estevez in 1992.

The couple had been dating for a year, before tying the knot officially.

The first year of a married life was very happy for the two love birds.

However, then things started getting worse and worse and resulted in a divorce in 1994.

Perhaps, the major ground was that Paula wanted to have kids and Emilio didn't, since he

already had two from the previous marriage.

During one of the blind dates, the pop star met Brad Beckerman, who is a CEO of a clothing

manufacturer.

The two fell in love immediately and in no time got married.

It seemed like they were destined to be together till the rest of their lives.

Nonetheless, in 1998 after less than two years of living together, they filed for a divorce.

Two singer's marriages didn't result in kids even though she claimed she has always

dreamt of becoming a mother to at least three kids.

But things simply didn't go according to her plan.

It was insane.

Lady Gaga. Bradley Cooper. Incredible chemistry.

I feel like... you and Tiffany...

Y'all could maybe do a romantic comedy.

- You know, look.

Tiffany Haddish is an amazing talent.

You know?

- She said "no".

- You're seeing the beginning stages of it.

The only thing would be, you know...

Tiffany's just got a bad problem

with the breath situation.

So I gotta, you know, on set I was constantly feeding Tiffany

Altoids.

Take after take. Tiff, you got to eat this.

"Just one?" "No. The box."

You know? I was giving her the box of 'em.

No. On a serious note.

I know that you're gonna see

more of she and I.

It's just seeing what those things are.

But, you know, we're

giving you a tip of the iceberg.

So hold on. Buckle up. Trust me.

"Night School" doesn't disappoint.

- I know you got to go, but I just want one response

to the clap back

My training bra.

- I wonder if you had any words back?

- We can't all have what he has.

Okay? That's not legal. Okay?

I don't know what that is that he has.

And it's not safe.

Yeah, it's stupid! It's stupid! Okay?

And I'll tell you another thing:

he doesn't have nipples.

Cats out the bag.

[Laughter]

Just a chest with nothing.

There's no nipple. It's just a chest.

So explain that, DJ. Where are your nipples?

I Was The Only Black Person In My Class And Lied About Where I Was From - Duration: 2:32.

I grew up in a small village in England. I've lived that my whole life and

growing up I've been surrounded by quite a few other minorities with different

backgrounds. However I went to a predominately white school meaning there

weren't many people of color. In my class I was the only black person as well as

the only Pacific Islander. Obviously people would ask me where I was from.

They would say stuff like, "so what are you? Where are you from?" And I used to lie.

I lied about where I was from because not many people know the country I'm

from. And I thought if I said a more recognizable country I didn't pass my

classmates. I would reply, "oh you know I'm just from southern France." I made people

believe that I was from a country even though I wasn't. I remember feeling so

embarrassed about where my family's from and being so discouraged because I

didn't know anyone else other than my family who were also Pacific Islanders.

I was so ashamed in my family that I used to tell people that my mum was mixed race,

and was half French, which in reality she's not mixed at all. When I got to

secondary school I met new people however I was still the only black person

and was still so embarrassed. I started to step up my game to think of a new excuse

where I was from. I would say to these new people that I had met that I was

Kenyan. But I'm not actually African at all. One day I met this girl who was like me.

She taught me to love my afro, love my skin color, love my background and wherever

I was from. I'm now in my third year of secondary school and I've learned that

it's okay to be different. And I started to embrace my blackness

and my culture. I am a Pacific Islander and I'm now proud to be because that's

what makes me unique. Embrace your culture and embrace your ethnic

background. Because we are all unique and different in our own special ways.

Oh, by the way that girl is now my best friend and I can't thank her enough for

teaching me to love myself.

The worst MLB pitching debut was a perfect storm of humiliation | SB Nation - Duration: 7:55.

- Some MLB pitchers make stellar first impressions.

Stephen Strasburg hurled 14 strikeouts

in his super hyped debut.

Juan Marichal started his Hall of Fame career

with a one-hit shutout in 1960.

A guy called Bumpus Jones opened his brief,

mediocre career with a no-hitter in 1892.

But not everyone has a happy first day on the mound.

And in the deep history of humiliating debuts,

one stands out as the saddest combination

of bad performance, bad luck,

and very, very uncomfortable circumstances.

This is the worst MLB pitching debut.

July 24, 2016, Saint Louis, Missouri.

The Cardinals are hosting the LA Dodgers.

And for the first time all season,

Saint Louis is using an emergency starter.

Because of a rain check double header,

and a 16 inning game earlier this week,

none of the five pitchers in Saint Louis' rotation

are ready to go.

So they went to their triple A club in Memphis,

and said, "Hey, hey,

give us the next pitcher in your rotation.

Not necessarily the best guy,

or the readiest guy, just the next guy."

That lucky call up, is this fellow, Mike Mayers.

Making his first, and to date, only career start

due to sheer happenstance.

It's not the first time happenstance

has dictated a pitching debut.

In 1912, the Detroit Tigers needed an emergency starer

because Ty Cobb was suspended for beating up a heckler,

and Cobb's teammates went on strike

to protest the suspension.

The Tigers found a bunch of randos

to fill in for their next game in Philadelphia.

Including Allan Travers, a college student

they found outside, who got 50 bucks

to take the mound and pitch a complete game,

in which he gave up 24 runs on 26 hits.

So at least Mayers is a real baseball pitcher

and not some random shmuck off the street.

But is he ready to face the playoff bound dodgers?

Let's see.

Well, with a couple strikes,

he's got the count in his favor, but ugh,

Chase Utley just kinda sticks out his bat,

and pokes one into center field for a single.

The very first batter is on base,

but hey, at least Mayers faced a batter right?

In the ninth inning of a 1971 Astro's game,

Robin Yount's older brother Larry Yount,

was called to the mound to make his debut.

He entered the game, but aggravated an elbow injury

while warming up, and was pulled

before throwing his first pitch.

Yount never got another opportunity.

That non debut, debut, was his whole career.

Mayers arm feels fine, so with a man on first,

he deals to Corey Seager, gets up two strikes again,

but then Seager hits this weird roller that just stays fair.

No play at first or second, so that's two men up.

Bad luck, and now Mayers is starting to sweat.

He's sweating because remember,

this isn't a relief inning in the middle of a game,

he's getting his major league baptism as a starting pitcher.

And it happens to be Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN.

People are watching.

Including a large contingent of Mayers family members.

Who were gonna go watch him in Memphis,

but took a surprise road trip detour

to see him pitch on a way bigger stage.

Oh, and Mayers is also sweating because it's 100 degrees.

So yeah, whatever he does, it's gonna be as a starter

in front of his family, and a national TV audience,

and Marlins man, and everybody.

It's gonna be a story.

This is not like Fred Hutchinson's debut in 1939,

in which he gave up 8 runs in just 2/3s of an inning

in relief against the Yankees, but was totally overshadowed

by Lou Gehrig's decision that same day

to end his legendary streak of 2,130 straight games played.

Mayers still has a chance to get outta this pickle.

And with a full count against Justin Turner,

he throws what might be strike three, but no.

The umpire calls it ball four.

Turner walks, bases loaded.

And yeah, this felt like it was coming.

Mayers misses his spot, and serves Adrian Gonzalez

a pitch straight down the middle,

that Gonzalez crushes for a grand slam.

Oh Mike, I feel for you man.

Oh god, and his family looks so sad.

This hurts.

And before the broadcast even gets out of replays,

Mayers has given up a double to Howie Kendrick.

Finally, against the sixth batter he faces,

Yasmani Grandal, Mayers records a strike out.

What a relief, his family finally has something to applaud.

And this saves Mayers rom one potential

ignominious achievement; the infinite ERA.

According to some accounts of Harry Heitmann's

1918 debut for the Brooklyn Robins.

Heitmann took the mound, gave up four hits

that would all become earned runs,

recorded zero outs, got pulled from the game,

then walked straight out of the stadium

to enlist in the Navy and never play pro baseball again.

Zero outs means Heitmann counts as having pitched

zero innings in the ERA calculation.

Which means ERA is loop de loop.

That honestly, might be preferable to a situation like that,

of Frank Wurm, who in his 1944 debut,

recorded a single out to go with four runs surrendered.

Never pitched again, and lived on with a career ERA of 108.

Mayers has not left the field to volunteer for

or military service, or for any other reason,

but that ERA is climbing,

and he's gotten himself in another pickle.

After inducing his second out, Mayers walks Jace Peterson,

and ends up with men on second and third.

And then, Scott Kazmir, the god damned pitcher,

drives in both runners to make the score six nothing.

Mayers finally gets out of the inning,

and now you've gotta wonder if his night is done.

And where six runs in an inning ranks among

the worst debut starts ever.

Because there had been some bad ones even in recent history.

Just a month before this game, Zach Eflin

debuted as a Philly starter,

and gave up nine runs, 8 of them earned.

In two and 2/3 innings.

In 1996, these same Saint Louis Cardinals sent out

Mike Buzby for a start his in first ever game.

Then pulled him down 13, three after four innings.

Then there's Arnie Munoz, who in his 2004

debut for the White sox, gave up one run

in the first inning, then nine in the second.

Eventually exiting his first game with 11 runs

surrendered in 3 innings.

Those are all much longer outings than this one,

but hey, Mayers is back on the mound for the second inning,

and the Cardinals picked up a run for him,

changing tides perhaps.

Shit, maybe with such a big lead already,

the Dodgers will go easy on Mayers.

That's what happened in Squire Potters

debut for the Washington Senators in 1923.

Potter pitched so poorly, including nine runs

in three innings, that Cleveland base runners

allowed themselves to be thrown out

just to curtail the embarrassment, kind of.

But look, Mayers gets the first batter out.

So maybe he doesn't need any help.

Maybe things are turning around.

Or maybe the next batter gets on with a single,

then Gonzalez picks up another hit, and throw to third

sails into the dugouts, so Gonzalez winds up at third

and another run scores.

If Mayers can't get out of this inning intact,

then that's, oh no.

Howie Kendrick homers, and even though the Cardinals

are trying to preserve a bullpen full of dudes,

who put in major work this week, it's time to pull Mayers.

The final total, nine earned runs,

in one and a third innings.

That's good for an ERA of 60.75.

By far the worst in recorded baseball history

among starting pitchers,

who gave up eight or more runs in their debut.

He got hit very hard, very, very quickly.

It would be Mayers last start too.

These days, he's a regular, solid reliever

in the Cardinals system, but he'll never forget

that first taste of the majors.

Many pitchers have gotten rocked,

their first times out on the mound.

Pitching history is riddled with dismal debuts.

During production of this video, Arizona's Yoan Lopez

started his career in the majors,

by facing exactly three batters,

and giving up two home runs and a triple.

There's a lot of all flavors.

But no one has ever done it quite like Mike Mayers.

For whom fate and mishap collided in front of his family,

and the whole damn country.

Forming the worst pitching debut ever.

A perfect storm of humiliation.

Trump Says Kavanaugh Accuser Is Lying Because She Was Drunk - Duration: 3:04.

If you think that Donald Trump being laughed at during the UN General Assembly is the only

stupid thing that happened yesterday, then clearly you weren't paying enough attention.

Because later on in the day while still at the UN at a UN meeting, Donald Trump was taking

questions from reporters, and inevitably, somebody asked him about Brett Kavanaugh and

the women who have come forward accusing him of sexual misconduct.

Trump responded in true Trump fashion by embarrassing everyone in this country, and showing the

rest of the world that we really don't care about women who have been sexually abused.

Trump said that we can't believe the second accuser, Debbie Ramirez because she was totally

inebriated, she was drunk, so we shouldn't trust her.

Just a stupid, drunk college girl that nobody should take seriously.

That's basically what the President said there.

He said, "She was inebriated, so we can't believe her."

I have a question for you then Mr. Trump, we're all of the 19 women who have accused

you of sexual misconduct, were every single one of them drunk at the time?

Or are you just the kind of guy who will 100% of the time take the side of the accused,

rather than giving women the benefit of the doubt, or at the very least, hearing them

out.

Because that's what these women want right now.

They're not saying we have to blindly believe them and bury Brett Kavanaugh.

They're saying listen to me.

Let's have an investigation.

Let's make this process fair.

Let's make sure that you can verify what I am saying before you give this man a lifetime

appointment to the Supreme Court.

If you don't think that that's fair, then you're an absolute idiot.

Because yeah, investigations are great, investigations need to happen.

This is a lifetime appointment to the most powerful court in the United States.

The least we could do is at least look into these allegations and ignore the morons like

the President of the United States who says, "Oh, we can't believe this woman because she

drank."

You know who else was drinking all the time back then according to all of his friends

and his former roommate and everybody else who knew him?

Brett Kavanaugh.

So, we shouldn't believe anything he says either, should we?

Because he was a drunkard, he was a college frat party guy all the time.

We have plenty of people to back up that story.

So, why don't you stop attacking the victims, stop defending disgusting behavior, take a

step back and just say, "You know what, let's have the investigation.

Let's clear the air.

And if he did nothing wrong, he will sail right through to the US Supreme Court.

But if we find something, then that's the end and I'll appoint somebody else."

That's all you had to say, Mr. President.

But you're too much of a failure and you're too weak, and you're too scared to come out

and ever say what's actually needed to be said?
