This time we have NZ ration that's rare and hard to find.

More rare then for example Australian ration, that's also among the rare and more expensive rations

So you can imagine how rare and expensive this one is.

I got this from a friend from England who got few of these.

He had luck about that and I had luck that he forwarded one to me

He was aware I would have tough time getting one

Big and heavy ration

Packed in this clear bag without any prints on it

You need to remove this tape to open it

and when you do, you can get inside of the bag

Let's get everything out

Berry in this are Blackcurrants

it's listed in the back in ingredients list

There is no dates on it only this codes

ANZAC: Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

Famous biscuit throughout history

and as you can see it's still here

date of production 26.5.2015.

so this is 3 year old ration from 2015.

we will know for sure later in the video

there is also a rubber band here to make this waterproof

let's just put this in here

you get similar one in Australian ration but this one is bigger and it seems like it's better quality

one more food pouch:sweet n sour chicken with rice

bunch of things secured with this rubber band

there is powdered milk inside of it too

detailed ingredients of the food inside of this pack

on the other side there's instructions and menu list, so we know this one is menu A

another bag with some items

also secured with a piece of tape

6 packs of sugar

six antibacterial wet wipes

chewing gum

little sponge

pepper and salt

there's tons of stuff here so let's divide it into a meals

except for the mains the rest of the items are same in NZ rations in all available menus, similar like in our Croatian rations

let's start with muesli... you can open it here

it looks like this, you can see the powdered milk too

it doesn't say how much water to add...

there is no cutlery in this ration so I will use spoon from the Australian ration that's most similar to this ration

you need 2dcl of water

I've used just a little bit more of water since this drinks are usually quite strong

muesli bar, it looks like this

let's find out what's inside of the can

yeah, it's cheese

it has nice smell

it still looks like a new one

strong alcohol smell from the wet wipe

plain crackers

let's try the muesli

there's some fruit in this, probably raisins, but overall this is pretty tasteless

strongest taste is from the milk

let's check the condensed milk

people are usually crazy about this

this is how it looks like

it's very thick and sweet so let's put some inside of the muesli

but to taste any difference you should put half of this inside (I think)

and that's a bit much

cabin bread...

classic tasteless cracker

cabin bread + cheese

cheese is like rubber

but the taste is just fine

I will try it by itself

rubbery texture, very salty and tasty

all in all not bad

let's try the coffee

coffee is great, nice smell and taste... we can put some condensed milk in the coffee too

it brings the coffee on the next level, much better then without it

tea is classic indian tea you can buy everywhere

it's not bitter like some of this black tea can be

instant chocolate

hot choco is great, not too sweet, nice chocolate taste, pretty nice for something that comes from that small bag

even tho the crackers are tasteless it overcomes the jam because it's too dry...

strawberry pieces are really tasty, with power kick fruit taste... this is probably also a healthy snack

lemon lime sports drink

not bad....

very light fruit taste, not really sweet it's more salty

one of those isotonic beverages everyone adores

muesli fruit bar

very pleasant taste, bar it's not crumbly

nice smell of cereals... and it taste like the name says as muesli and fruit :)

klinkers and chocolate

it looks and taste like new

there is really something inside they call Klinkers

like crunchy fruit bits

so breakfast was pretty nice... ration looks awesome at this point

I like it all

let's hope the rest of it will be good

let's go to the lunch part

so this is everything I'll be having for the lunch part of the ration

main meal is beef stew

the coffee is a bit strange

it's stuck on the package... maybe the best move would be not to drink it

something is off so let's continue without coffee

I had tea for breakfast but I'll will open the bag to check on the tea brand inside of it

the brand and the tea is the same

spicy smell coming off of it, similar to hungarian goulash

since there is no cutlery I'm still using this Aussie spoon

because Australian is most similar to this one

lots of beef, potato, spices

carrot

you can open the bottom like this and make it stand on it's own

the design of this bag is awesome... field friendly

great to have if you are in a vehicle or during patrols

you can hold it like this with ease and eat

hell, you can even drink from it if you want

the meat is OK

meat isn't overcooked, it has nice texture

nice amount of vegetables and meat in this including spices

I give it A1... it's interesting just nothing isnt overcooked in this meal

even the potatos...

tomato sauce together with this beef stew... pretty sweet

peanuts and raisins... peanuts are not salty, I like that

2dcl of orange mango drink

like flat Mirinda drink - (not Miranda) :-) *Pepsi version of Fanta

not sweet, lightly salty even

fruit taste is very light

milk chocolate... looks like now... taste isnt anything special, but since it looks like new after all this time it is a special -A VERY SPECIAL CHOCOLATE-

condensed milk we had for breakfast, cant't have it here since coffee turned to spiderweb mold dust

from 3 different kinds of candy I'll try the green one because it's only one of them

probably lemon taste, not sure tho...

it taste like dishwasher liquid with sugar

it's filled hard candy, not hollow one

don't just bite into it since it's really hard candy

but not bad as some kind of cheap sensation in the field

instead of brushing your teeth, just chew on this gum for 20 minutes to clean them

xylitol and aspartam are one of the ingredients, something great for your body

and after lunch this turns to be one of the best rations I had... 9/10 in my opinion and let's continue with the dinner now

also this coffee went bad

so it's out

300 grams of sweet and sour chicken...let's heat it up

we have vegetable soup, you need 300ml's of boiling water to prepare it

mix until it's dissolved

we have instant noodles we need to cook 2.5 minutes

inside you have of course the noodles and a little pack with spices

vegetable soup is prepared, along with the instant noodles

taste of the soup is really great -10/10 soup like in the Australian ration

you add 0.5 liters of water, add noodles and spices to get this

it has that beef taste

this is great as addition to your food

just leave it for a minute or two

SS chicken...there is more chicken then I expected

I'm not a chicken lover so I'll try to get some rice

nice fruit flavor, not that sour, but it is sweet

also you can smell the pineapple

beef noodles with onion flakes

it's nice with onion flakes, but it's good without it also

I'm not sure can you put some into the soup but I will do that

the soup is excellent even without any additional spices

let's try the ANZAC biscuit

hard, very sweet and crunchy biscuit

there is something else in this too

so it's a coconut....

plum jam is very sweet, nothing special, but it goes nice with ANZAC biscuit

except for the coffee everything else was really OK

the food is very quality and you have lots of it

and that's it... thanks New Zealand (...)
