Usain Bolt Breaks 100m World Record in Beijing 2008 | The Olympics On The Record - Duration: 4:37.

Hey, Nelly. Nelly, look, who am I?

- Picasso. - Mm-mm.

- Statue of Liberty. - Mm-mm.

- The girl from The Hunger Games. - Mm-mm.

I know, John Travolta.

Mm-mm.

Usain Bolt is the biggest star in global athletics.

His success is unprecedented - the first sprinter to win

double 100m and 200m titles in consecutive Olympic Games.

His fame makes it hard to remember that he was

just another young hopeful dreaming of Olympic success.

Here he is at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

He was just 17 years old.

He was highly considered as a 200m and 400m sprinter

but this first appearance at the Olympic Games

was a not-too-happy experience for the youngster.

Right from the gun

it looks like Matsuda of Japan is pulling up lame

and in lane two Unger from Germany is running very well.

They're going to come around the bend

with Jedrusinski of Poland in lane seven.

Nsiah on the inside trying to keep up with them.

Poor form and a leg injury saw Bolt eliminated

in the semifinals in a disappointing time.

So what happened to Bolt over the next four years?

What path led a promising teenager

to become a world-beating athlete?

Bolt, you see, was the wrong height

to dominate at 100 metres. Too tall at 6' 5".

By the time young Usain unravelled his massive frame,

coaches said the race would be over.

That explosive start, so essential to 100m success,

was surely beyond him.

Bolt, however, was not so sure.

He was formidable over 400m

but absolutely hated the hours of endurance training

required for the longer distance.

He wanted to give the 100m a go.

So he and his coaches made a deal.

Bolt would enter a minor athletics meet in Crete

in July 2007 to run 100m,

and if he could beat the time of 10.30,

he could drop the 400m and focus on the 100m and 200m.

But Bolt won the 100m in Crete in a time of 10.03.

If young Usain could threaten ten seconds

at his first attempt aged just 20,

without the required years of explosive sprint training,

then, well, the sky was the limit for this kid.

The 100m would be Bolt's focus

and the Beijing Olympics were fast approaching.

He started to put in some serious gym work

and filled out his huge frame

with hard graft and a special diet regime.

The results were extraordinary.

2008 in Jamaica -

Bolt went under ten seconds for the first time,

a giant leap which put him right up

with the best in the world.

Later that month in New York, Bolt raced against

the world record holder, Tyson Gay.

Bolt won in a sensational time of 9.72 seconds,

a new world record.

It was only Bolt's fifth competitive 100m race.

From nowhere, he'd become

the most exciting young sprinter in the world.

So how does he do it?

Essentially, Bolt compresses his lightning 200m technique

into the shorter distance.

He's still not the best starter,

rarely ahead after 30 metres.

Then once he's up and running, his huge size becomes an asset.

While a top sprinter will typically take

44 paces over 100m, Bolt just takes 41 paces.

That's approximately 17 metres extra distance per pace

over the course of the race.

And so back to 2008 and the Olympic Games in Beijing -

the final of the men's 100m.

Usain was ready to do his thing.

And they're off.

Big start by Richard Thompson in lane four from Trinidad

and here comes Usain Bolt.

Bolt is pulling away, Bolt's looking back -

you don't look back in 100m!

9.68 is a world record for Usain Bolt.

9.68 - a new world record.

The fastest man in the world.

That celebration on the line

told the world he could run faster.

And soon he would.

But it was the Olympic gold medal he really wanted.

I know.

Mo Farah.

Between Trampoline Gymnastics and a Career as a Doctor | Day Jobs - Duration: 7:55.

DAY JOBS

(ANA RENTE)

(TRAMPOLINE, PORTUGAL / DOCTOR)

It's not worth doing something in life unless you enjoy it.

If we do things that we like

then we can be motivated to get better.

My name is Ana Rente, I live in Lisbon.

I'm a family doctor and I'm an Olympic trampoline gymnast.

(LISBON, PORTUGAL)

Usually my day starts at 08:00 in the health centre.

And then there is a rush to see the patients.

All right, you've already got a little bump.

Don't be scared, it's going to make some noise.

- Did you hear the heartbeat? - I did.

My medical career wasn't an immediate choice,

it wasn't a childhood dream of mine.

It came naturally with doing more sport

and a curiosity to know

a little more about the human body.

Like all children, I tried out many sports

to find out which I liked the most.

I tried judo, then swimming

and then gymnastics.

There were also trampolines at the club

and we used them to learn jumps for our acrobatics.

I really enjoyed that feeling of being on the trampoline,

of being able to fly a little.

I had a passion for the trampoline.

It was the logical progression in my sporting career.

And please welcome to the trampoline,

representing Portugal, Ana Rente.

Entering the Olympics Stadium in Beijing,

I felt immense joy.

I was very young, barely 20 years old

and we were being watched by millions of people.

The huge audience distracted me and it didn't allow me

to perform at my best.

My competition in London was easier.

I felt my previous experience in Beijing helped.

(LONDON 2012, RANKED: 11)

I really enjoyed London,

being able to compete again

in a stadium full of people.

I really enjoyed the competition,

it was a very beautiful moment.

My performance at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro

was positive.

It didn't work out quite as I hoped.

The goal was to be a finalist,

to be in the top eight.

This didn't happen

in any of the three Olympics.

But when we cannot achieve our goals,

it gives us strength to improve in the future.

The Olympic Games

in Rio de Janeiro were special.

After the competition, under the Olympic rings...

...my boyfriend Gustavo proposed to me.

It was a beautiful moment.

(ANA'S FIANCE GUSTAVO SIMOES IS ALSO A GYMNAST

(AND IS STUDYING NUTRITION)

It makes life much easier,

with Ana being a great athlete and student.

She's chosen a difficult career

and often she is the one

pushing me in my studies because that will be my future.

At around 13:00, I break for lunch

for about an hour

and then I return to the health centre.

I stay there for the afternoon and see more patients.

It's always a tight schedule which is very tiring.

Diana is responsible for my medical residency.

She is a very special person to me.

She gives me support with my absence

due to my competitions and training.

She is always available to help and advise me.

Being a doctor is very hard.

I think Ana has a tremendous ability

to balance working 40 hours a week

and completing her studies.

I think you need unimaginable strength,

but she is a force of nature.

I feel that by the end of the day,

when I have to go to training, I'm very tired.

I feel that sometimes I don't make the most of training

because I'm having to combine my work and sports careers.

Before the Olympic Games in Rio,

I decided to stop my medical career for two months

to focus on my sporting career.

I felt that I was near physical and psychological exhaustion

and to do everything would be too much.

It's not just physical fatigue, it's also psychological,

knowing that every day is the same.

We work many hours every day

and then afterwards we have to train.

We have to be prepared physically and psychologically

to be able to improve and get better

during the training sessions.

That jump was spectacular!

Of course it's a dream to be able to compete

at the Olympic Games.

Right now I'm already training and I'm already competing,

knowing that it's going to be complicated,

and I'm living my life one day at a time.

Did Trump Repeal Obamacare? - Duration: 5:40.

>>A NEW POLL SHOWS THAT AN ALARMING PERCENTAGE OF AMERICANS

BELIEVE THAT THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HAS ALREADY

REPEALED THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.

MAYBE THE REASON THEY THINK

THAT IS BECAUSE TRUMP HIMSELF MADE IT SEEM THAT HE DID IT,

HERE'S A QUOTE FROM TRUMP REGARDING THE TAX LEGISLATION HE

SIGNED INTO LAW --

>>OF COURSE WHAT HE WAS REFERRING TO IS THE FACT THAT

THE TAX BILL HE SIGNED INTO LAW GETS RID OF THE MANDATE THAT

FORCES AMERICANS TO BUY PRIVATE INSURANCE.

STARTING IN 2019

PEOPLE WON'T BE PENALIZED IF THEY REFUSE TO BUY INSURANCE.

OF

COURSE THAT ESSENTIALLY GUTS A PORTION OF THE AFFORDABLE CARE

ACT BUT IT DOESN'T REPEAL IT.

HERE IS WHAT THE POLL FOUND

AFTER IT SURVEYED AMERICANS --

>>SO 31% BELIEVE THAT THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT HAS BEEN

REPEALED.

AND OF COURSE THAT'S NOT THE CASE.

>>I DON'T BLAME THE TONY 1% THAT AREN'T SURE, IT'S EASY TO

MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW THE INS AND OUTS OF

POLITICS, BUT NUMBER ONE IT'S NOT THEIR JOB, BUT NUMBER TWO HE

REPEALED THE MANDATE AND NOT THE REST OF THE LAW.

SO IF YOU ARE

CONFUSED BY THAT, I GET IT.

BUT WORD OF CAUTION, DON'T TAKE WHAT

TRUMP SAYS AT FACE VALUE.

IF HE SAYS HE REPEALED OBAMACARE YOU

MIGHT WANT TO LOOK INTO THAT BECAUSE OF COURSE HE DIDN'T

REPEALED THE LION'S SHARE OF THE LAW.

>>LET'S BREAK IT DOWN BASED ON POLITICAL AFFILIATION --

>>SO IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE MORE REPUBLICANS ARE WILLING TO

BELIEVE WHAT TERM SAYS AT FACE VALUE THAN DEMOCRATS.

>>DEFINITELY.

AND 27% IS A LITTLE DISPIRITING FOR DEMOCRATS

AND INDEPENDENTS TO NOT REALIZE WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED, BUT LIKE

I SAID IN THIS CASE IT'S A LITTLE MORE UNDERSTANDABLE

BECAUSE HE TOOK AWAY ONE IMPORTANT ASPECT OF IT, THAT'S

WHY THEY MIGHT BE CONFUSED.

BUT TO ME THE MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER

IS NEARLY 40% OF REPUBLICANS SURVEYED BELIEVE THAT TRUMP HAD

NOT REPEALED OBAMACARE.

SO THAT MEANS MY IMMERSION OF 44 TO 40,

AS USUAL, THE REPUBLICAN ELECTRIC BELIEVES SOMETHING

THAT'S NOT TRUE.

>>WHAT WORRIES ME ABOUT THAT IS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT

GENERAL ELECTION, WHICH I'M EXHAUSTED AND DON'T WANT TO

THINK ABOUT, MY QUESTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN WILL TRUMP'S BASE

ABANDON HIM AS HE FAILS LEGISLATIVELY OR RENEGES ON

CERTAIN THINGS THAT HE PROMISED WHILE HE WAS CAMPAIGNING?

AND IT

SEEMS LIKE THERE'S SOME PERCENTAGE OF THE REPUBLICAN

PARTY THAT WILL NEVER LOSE SUPPORT BECAUSE THEY WILL JUST

BELIEVE WHAT TRUMP TELLS THEM.

SO IF TRUMP TELLS THEM I'VE

REPEALED THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, WHICH IS ONE OF HIS

CAMPAIGN PROMISES, THEY WILL BELIEVE HIM EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT

TRUE.

>>25% OF THE COUNTRY WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP OR ANY REPUBLICAN

UNDER ANY AND ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

AMERICA COULD FALL INTO THE

OCEAN, THEY WOULD BE LIKE, TRUMP NAILED IT.

IT'S BIG, BEAUTIFUL

OCEAN WATER, WE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE ON THE OCEAN ANYWAY.

IF ISIS

TAKES OVER THE COUNTRY AND PLANTED THEIR FLAG IN DUBUQUE

AND ROCHESTER, THAT'S A GENIUS MOVE.

BECAUSE THEN WE WILL

COUNTER ATTACK, HE WANTED THEM TO TAKE ROCHESTER.

THAT'S A BLUE

STATE ANYWAY, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT.

BUT THAT'S JUST 25% OF THE

COUNTRY, THEY STILL NEED A LOT MORE PEOPLE TO WIN AN ELECTION.

AND ONE OF THE THINGS I BELIEVE WILL HAPPEN IS THAT YOU NEVER

UNDERESTIMATE DONALD TRUMP'S INCOMPETENCE.

SO FAR, HE HASN'T

BEEN ABLE TO KILL OBAMACARE WHICH WAS HIS MAIN PRIORITY EVEN

BEFORE THE TAX CUTS, HE DIDN'T SUCCEED AT THAT, AND THERE HAS

BEEN ALL THIS GENERAL CHAOS AND INCOMPETENCE, BUT NOTHING HAS

CRATERED YET.

WAIT FOR IT, AND BRACE FOR IMPACT, BECAUSE

THERE'S NO WAY DONALD TRUMP STAYS IN OFFICE FOR TWO YEARS

AND SOMETHING MASSIVE DOESN'T CRATER THANKS TO HIS

INCOMPETENCE.

I HOPE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN, BUT IT ALMOST CERTAINLY

WILL.

AND THAT'S WHEN THE REST OF TRUMP'S VOTERS GO, HMM --

BECAUSE IT'S EASY FOR THEM NOW WHEN THE STOCK MARKET IS UP AND

CORPORATIONS ARE FEASTING ON THE TAX CODES, AND THEY ARE LIKE,

EVERYTHING IS GREAT, RIGHT?

IT'S EASY FOR THEM TO THINK

EVERYTHING IS HUNKY-DORY.

AT SOME POINT REALITY HAS A WAY OF

CATCHING UP WITH YOU.

Why Americans Are More Stressed Now Than Ever - Duration: 7:29.

>>EACH YEAR, THE AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION DOES A

SURVEY OF A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE OF AMERICANS TO FIGURE

OUT WHAT STRESSES THEM OUT THE MOST, IN THIS YEAR THE RESULTS

ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS ONES SO I WANTED TO

SHARE THE RESULTS.

THEY FOUND THAT MOST AMERICANS ARE STRESSED

OUT ABOUT AMERICA.

THE STATE OF POLITICS AND EVERYTHING THAT

ENTAILS --

>>AND KEEP IN MIND, THEY ARE TALKING TO A REPRESENTATIVE

SAMPLE, NOT JUST A MILLENNIALS.

THEY ARE HAVING CONVERSATIONS

WITH PEOPLE, OR SURVEYING PEOPLE, WHO LIVED THROUGH

WORLD WAR II, AND THEY THINK THE MODERN DAY, TODAY, IS WORSE

THAN IT WAS BACK THEN.

>>AND VIETNAM, AND 9/11, AND ALL THOSE MOMENTS.

THERE'S A LOT OF DIFFERENT REASONS FOR ALL THAT, WHICH

WE WILL GET INTO.

>>OKAY, SO --

>>IF YOU BREAK DOWN WHAT THEY MEAN BY THAT, HERE IS WHAT YOU

WILL FIND.

43% ARE RIGHT ABOUT HEALTHCARE, 35% ABOUT THE

ECONOMY, 30% ARE CONCERNED WITH TRUST IN GOVERNMENT, CRIMES, AND

TERRORIST ATTACKS.

>>A LOT OF INTERESTING NUMBERS HERE.

62% ARE CONCERNED ABOUT

MONEY, VERY NORMAL.

61% ABOUT WORK, NORMAL.

BUT CONCERNED

ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT AND THE FUTURE OF THE NATION IS ACTUALLY

HIGHER THAN THEIR CONCERN ABOUT MONEY OR THEIR JOBS, THAT'S

AMAZING.

I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE.

PART OF IT IS BECAUSE

THEY REALIZE, OH, RIGHT, WHAT GOVERNMENT DOES AFFECT ME.

I

DON'T HAVE HEALTHCARE, I'M WORRIED THAT SOMEONE IN MY

FAMILY WILL DIE, OR IT'S INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE AND IT'S

KILLING US.

THE PAYMENTS, ETC.

BUT TO ME THE OTHER AMAZING

NUMBER WAS NOT JUST SPECIFIC THINGS LIKE I'M WORRIED ABOUT

THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE I MIGHT NOT HAVE HEALTHCARE AND I MIGHT

DIE, THAT'S SPECIFIC AND UNDERSTANDABLE, THE STATE OF THE

ECONOMY, I MIGHT NOT HAVE A JOB -- BUT 30% SAID THEY WERE

CONCERNED, AS YOU SAW ON THAT CHART, ABOUT TRUST IN

GOVERNMENT.

SO THIS IS A THING THAT PUNDITS ON TV SAID NOBODY

CARES ABOUT, RIGHT?

CAMPAIGN-FINANCE REFORM,

CORRUPTION, THESE ARE MINOR ISSUES.

NO THEY AREN'T. PEOPLE

ACROSS THE COUNTRY ARE GETTING IT, WE DID A POLL IN CALIFORNIA,

THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE WAS MONEY IN POLITICS.

PEOPLE UNDERSTAND

THE GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN CAPTURED BY THE DONORS, AND AS LONG AS

THE GOVERNMENT AND POLITICIANS ARE WORKING FOR THAT TINY GROUP

OF RICH PEOPLE WE WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING.

NOT DECENT HEALTHCARE,

MEDICARE FOR ALL, DECENT WAGES, AND WE ARE SLOWLY BEING

CRUSHED, AND THAT HAS DAWNED ON PEOPLE.

THAT'S WHY THEY ARE DEPRESSED ABOUT IT.

>>AND PEOPLE ARE LAYING AWAKE AT NIGHT WORRIED ABOUT THESE

THINGS.

IF YOU LOOK AT DEMOGRAPHICS, THE SURVEY FOUND

THAT WOMEN ARE SUFFERING FROM HIGHER STRESS LEVELS THAN MEN --

>>THAT'S ANOTHER AMAZING PART OF THE SURVEY.

TRUMP APPEALS TO

MEN MORE, BUT IT'S AMAZING HOW IT WORKS ON A MACRO LEVEL.

A LOT

OF GUYS, OF COURSE NOT ALL OF THEM, OF COURSE THESE ARE GIANT

MACRO LOOKS AT THE COUNTRY, BUT A LOT OF GUYS VOTED FOR TRUMP,

AND WHEN HE WON THEY ARE LIKE, THANK GOD WE ARE BACK IN CHARGE.

AND THEIR STRESS LEVELS WENT DOWN.

AGAIN IT'S AN

OVERGENERALIZATION BUT IT'S IN THE NUMBERS.

I WAS SURPRISED

BECAUSE I WOULD'VE THOUGHT THAT ECONOMIC ANXIETY AND ALL THE

DIFFERENT ANXIETIES OVERALL WOULD'VE AFFECTED MEN, BUT

NO, THIS YEAR THEY ARE LIKE, THINGS ARE A LITTLE BETTER.

AT LEAST SOME PERCENTAGE OF MEN.

>>I'M JUST GUESSING, THIS IS SPECULATION, BECAUSE THE WOMEN

DON'T GIVE A REASON FOR WHY IT IS THAT THEIR STRESS LEVELS ARE

HIGHER THAN MEN, BUT MY SPECULATION IS, THINK ABOUT THE

GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS THAT HELP SINGLE MOTHERS.

THE EQUALITY

ISSUES WE ARE FINALLY SEEING SOME PROGRESS ON THAT NOW IS

BECOMING MORE OF A REGRESSIVE THING.

WE ARE SEEING THE COUNTRY

REGRESS IN CERTAIN WAYS WHEN DURING THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

WE DID SEE PROGRESS, AND I THINK LOOKING BACK NOW I FEEL LIKE I

KIND OF TOOK THAT FOR GRANTED.

>>BUT A LOT OF CONSERVATIVE MEN DIDN'T SEE THAT AS PROGRESS.

THEY KEPT SAYING WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK.

MEANING, WE WANT

IT BACK FOR US.

BUT AGAIN, DON'T READ TOO MUCH INTO OUR

SPECULATION ON IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT BREAK DOWN BY GENDER WHY

THEY ARE UPSET OR LESS UPSET, THEY JUST BROKE IT DOWN OVERALL,

AND EXPLAINED THAT THE GENDERS DO VIEW IT A LITTLE DIFFERENT.

>>ANOTHER PIECE OF INFORMATION OR DATA THAT I THOUGHT WAS

INTERESTING --

>>MORE AMERICANS ARE STRESSED OUT, THEY ARE FEELING MORE

ANXIETY, AND IT IS AFFECTING THEM PHYSICALLY AS WELL BECAUSE

THEY ARE GETTING LESS SLEEP, AND WHEN YOU ARE STRESSED OUT, YES,

IT'S AN EMOTION BUT IT ALSO HAS A PHYSICAL REACTION IN THE BODY,

YOU RELEASE MORE CORTISOL, YOU ARE EATING UNHEALTHY FOODS,

SLEEPING LESS, SO THIS WILL AFFECT OUR HEALTH AS WELL.

AND I

KNOW I CAN DEFINITELY SYMPATHIZE WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST

SLEEP OVER THESE ISSUES.

>>IN SOME WAYS I'M SURPRISED THAT THE ANXIETY IS GREATER, AND

GOD HELP US IF THERE IS ANY KIND OF ECONOMIC CRASH BECAUSE THIS

WILL SHOOT THROUGH THE ROOF.

LOOK, MINIMUM WAGE IS $7.25,

THAT'S $15,000 A YEAR, HOW DO YOU NOT LAY AWAKE AT NIGHT IF

YOU ARE MAKING $15,000 A YEAR?

HOW DO YOU LIVE ON THAT?

AND

THAT'S TRUE FOR A LOT OF

AMERICANS.

AND SO MANY AMERICANS

NOW HAVE BEEN CRUNCHED DOWN TO MINIMUM WAGE, THEY USED TO HAVE

GOOD JOBS AND THEY DON'T ANYMORE.

AND THEY NEED

GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE AND THAT HURTS THEIR SENSE OF

SELF-RESPECT.

AND CONSERVATIVES THINK THEY ARE ALL BOMBS, THEY

ALL WANT HANDOUTS.

THEY DON'T WANT HANDOUTS, THEY MAKE $7.25,

THEY NEEDED FOR THEIR KIDS.

THEY AREN'T BOMBS.

A LOT OF THESE

PEOPLE ARE WORKING POOR AND THE MIDDLE CLASS, IT'S HARD NOT TO

GET STRESSED OUT.

I HOPE WE DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF ECONOMIC

CRASH, IF IT DOES THESE NUMBERS ARE GOING

TO BE ASTRONOMICAL.

Here's a List Albums We're Still Waiting On in 2018 - Duration: 4:01.

Jinx here for Complex News.

We're living in an era of an endless stream of music, with 2017 serving as further proof

with a gang of albums dropping each week.

Even with that, it seems like it's not enough when it comes to some artists.

I'm talking about that particular group that we start the year hoping for a release, and

end the year with nothing.

Now we know that art takes time, but that doesn't stop us from giving a friendly reminder

that— —That we need these albums.

So without further ado, these are the albums that we're waiting on:

PUSHA T - KING PUSH Despite taking on the important role of President

of G.O.O.D.

Music, Pusha T hasn't brushed off any conversation about his forthcoming studio album: King Push.

But also keep in mind that he's been talking about this project for almost 4 years now.

I actually spoke with Push a few years ago where he told me that it was going to be a

Neptunes helmed project:

Welp... things have changed since 2014.

This summer we linked up again, and he told me that much has changed and gave a status

update:

But during that same discussion Push revealed that it's also no longer executive produced

by The Neptunes.

Instead, the project's sonics are being helmed by none other than Kanye West.

I'm be honest with y'all.

It doesn't matter what Pusha raps over, because he can take any beat and whip crack over it.

We just need our fix!

EARL SWEATSHIRT

Fans of Earl Sweatshirt have been waiting for a new full-length project since 2015's

I Don't Like Shit I Don't Go Outside.

Since then, we've gotten a few verses, like the one he crushed last year on Danny Brown's

"Really Doe" or the bars he spit on the Samiyam's tripped out boom-bapish "Mirror" or the work

he's done with producer Knxwkedge.

I've heard around that he's been working on new material, but none of that is directly

from Earl, nor has he delivered anything full length.

Instead he takes his time, and keeps his output measured and select.

So until he says it's a go... we'll be waiting.

Travis Scott's Astroworld is easily one of the most anticipated albums.

While we don't know what it'll sound like, it's largely due to him being one of the most

popular and exciting artists out right now.

He's currently providing the anthems that bang in the clubs, live in your headphones,

and turn into pure unfiltered chaos at his live shows.

It's also due to the fact that he's been talking about it since before the release of his last

album "Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight."

We should probably ease off him a bit, since he literally went on a streak of dropping

a project each year, with each one almost exactly a year apart with: Days Before Rodeo,

Rodeo, and Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight.

Also consider that he's been on tour the majority of the year and is said to be having a child

with Kylie Jenner.

So yeah... he's kind of busy.

But even if we don't get Astro World, there's still a chance we get the Travis and Quavo

"Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho" project soon—which is said to have been sent off for mixing.

THE INTERNET

The Internet is one of the more exciting groups in recent memory.

All talented in their own rights, each of them set out this year to release or work

on solo projects, resulting in Matt Martians' The Drum Chord Theory; Steve Lacy's "Steve

Lacy Demo" and Syd's "Fin" and "Always Never Home."

Seeing them flex their abilities on their own, allows you to see what they bring to

the group, but it's their combined powers that really shine.

Which is why fans are clamoring for a new project from the band.

They've remained relatively hush about it, but with this much output and a tight-knit

group, they're likely tossing around ideas and new material ahead of another project.

NICKI MINAJ

2017 seemed like the year that female rappers reminded everyone to not count them out.

We saw output from Dreezy, Rhapsody, Remy Ma, newcomer and superstar Cardi B, and even

Lil Kim, among others.

With Cardi running up the charts and landing a grammy nom.

While we await what's next for the Bronx emcee But it's all eyes on Nicki Minaj in 2018.

Having not dropped an album this year, but thrown around songs, from a few barbs (no

pun intended), Nicki is still the reigning queen of rap right now, having set the standard

of stardom.

With welcome competition, her fanbase and the rap community are waiting to see what

she does next.

With anything Nicki does, it's usually big and causes some news.

A well put-together album with something to say will be the foundation of her continued

dominance.

Okay... so those are just a few of the projects we're awaiting, but there are other artists

we've got on our radar like Chance The Rapper, A$AP Rocky, Rae Sremmurd, and of course Lil

Wayne's Carter V... which is still stuck in contractual Limbo.

We're dying to know who you guys are waiting for?

Fall thru the comments with your picks and the likelihood that they'll give us something

in 2018.
