Hey there it's Monica welcome back to my channel! I am so freaking excited to be

filming this video because I just got back from the Apple Store a couple of

days ago, two days ago to be exact, and I've been waiting all this time to unbox

My new and beautiful macbook pro I can't even talk cuz I'm so excited this is it

it is huge look at this okay so I got the MacBook Pro in 15 inches 16

gigabytes 2.2 gigahertz with a quad core Intel Core i7 with a turbo boost of up

to 3.4 gigahertz I'm especially excited that it's i7 because there's hyper

threading for those of you who don't know hyper threading is when your computer

thinks that your core processors are doubled so I'm pretty sure the I sevens

have four cores so your computer would end up thinking that there's actually

eight cores so you can double the amount of things that get processed so it'll be

faster and more efficient that way so let's just unbox this and afterwards we can

kind of just compare it to my old laptop oh gosh I'm so excited

holy smokes this is actually happening oh my goodness

it's so pretty [deep breathe]

Mmm it smells like plastic when we open it up you just have the MacBook itself and then it

comes with the charger the little extension thingy I'm just going to open it up

right now

[laughter] it's completely covering my face there's like these little perforated holes along

the side I think those are for the speakers so this is a 15 inch and the 13

inch side-by-side although it's only literally 2 inches bigger it feels so

much bigger once I actually have it right in front of me especially because

not only is it bigger in length but also width as well I mentioned that this

MacBook Pro is 2.2 gigahertz and that's almost double the amount of speed from

my previous a 13-inch because this one's only 1 point...I think it's 1.4 yeah

so really excited to see just how fast and smooth this macbook's gonna be

once I started doing some editing with that being said let's turn on this baby and take it for a test ride

oh my gosh so it's actually taking a little while to boot up but I think that's just

because this is the very first time that I'm turning it on ever ever ever

grey screen right now there you have it we're gonna choose English for the main

language of course. Canada. Now I'm selecting my Wi-Fi network. Oooh! I'm typing using the

keyboard for the first time and if you know so weird

do you hear that clickety clack? That, my friends, is the sound of fresh, crisp

potential. Alright so my camera died and I was just finishing setting up my

laptop and there is an "enable Siri" option. I freaking love Siri I use her for

like everything and she has been malfunctioning on my phone okay whenever

I ask her to do things she does not doing them do them correctly so

hopefully Siri's gonna be a lot more well-behaved on my laptop. It's getting

all set up right now. Oh there we go. our first look at the new laptop so I

will go to in depth from here I'm sure if you see the MacBook it's pretty much

the exact same except for the Siri option so let's see how that works

show Siri oh my look there she is. Siri what does a whale look like? [gasp] Yay

Siri you're working perfectly unlike my frickin phone.

For those of you who are looking to buy your very own macbook and you're not really sure like which kin

to get, I would really recommend the macbook air for those of you who if

you're a student and you're only using it for web browsing, assignments

uploading photos things like that, it's gonna work wonderfully I've had my

macbook air for three years now and it's worked beautifully. Like I said the only

problem is when I'm it's video editing and even though using my three terabyte

external hard drive it's still got really laggy.

It also kept freezing, crashing and constantly dropped frames!!!

Hopefully this is going to work

a lot better I'm interested to see just how more... how much smoother and

more quickly it's gonna work on the pro? another thing with a MacBook Air is it

so freakin light I don't know the exact weight I'll just leave it on the screen

right here but it's been so convenient I just loved having something so light and

easy to slip into my backpack and just go on throughout the day in terms of the

MacBook Pro if you're someone who does a lot of video editing or maybe a lot of

Photoshop work then this may be the laptop for you

Even then, when I was video editing on my you know MacBook Air it was working really well

it just wasn't until the later years that it started acting up a bit. So for

those of you who, you know, are just getting started with video editing then

maybe just stick with a MacBook Air for now and then once you save up more money

move onto the map book pro but you know it's all up to you - definitely go ahead and

do your own research. I'm not a computer person so I don't know exactly what's

right for you this is just what's right for me. This is just what's right for me

Also with select purchases you sometimes get freebies and I ended up getting the uh beats headphones in rose

gold. I love that you can fold it up. I love that the sound is super crisp and

nice. The color is so so beautiful. So you can change volume, down, increase the volume

and the middle you can press pause press play and you can even accept and end calls too which

i think is so cool. Cons. It's a little tight on me I do have like a bigger head so

even though you know you can adjust in terms of how it fits on your head um it is a

little bit tighter than I'm used to. It starts off fine but then once I've been

wearing it for a little while my head starts to hurt a bit

whatever I want to switch devices I have to click "forget device" so if I was using

a laptop and I want to start listening to music from my phone then I have to

press "forget device" on the laptop for it to actually connect to my phone which

is a little bit it inconveniencing. So far though other than, you know, minor

inconveniences I really love it. Doo doo doo. I feel like a DJ right now.

Am I the lamest DJ to have ever existed? Well that's the end of my video I'm so stoked

favorites.

Can "This Is Us" live up to its stellar first season?

--Of course they will all but

we start our fall TV preview with perhaps the most anticipated show it is

a familiar one: "Will & Grace" --I was just saying to my wife

I wonder what it will

be like to kiss a man again?

--That crazy kiss marks the triumphant return of one

of the funniest shows on television and here's the best part

"Will & Grace" hasn't even begun to air and NBC has already

renewed it for another season Our TV critics, Variety's

Elizabeth Wagmeister and Jarett Wieselman

of BuzzFeed both agree this brilliant comedy is the one to watch.

--Their chemistry still has not changed one bit

I mean we got to see a little bit of footage of them all together and playing

around on set and it just it feels so great to see Will and Grace and Jack and

Karen back together again --It's like they never took a break

they look the same

they look amazing they sound the same

they act the same and their energy is just great

[Music]

--Capitalizing on one of its biggest hits CBS rewinds the clock on the Big Bang

Theory to Sheldon's childhood in Texas it's narrated by Jim Parsons and even if

you don't watch Big Bang you can't help but love little Iain Armitage who knows

he has big shoes to fill you --I know a lot of people like it

and I'm hoping a lot more like it and I'm hoping it's it's going to do well.

--understand that some people are gonna be intimidated by you

because of how smart you are --or maybe they'll recognize my

intellect and make me their leader --Lord, look after my son

don't let him get stuffed in a gym bag --He's the cutest thing you've ever seen

and even though

he's not even 10 years old yet audiences know him because he actually starred in

"Big Little Lies."

--Two counts of murder have been filed against Lyle and Erik Menendez

--all the years of abuse finally drive them over the edge

--And yet another

spinoff from Dick Wolf's hugely successful franchise comes "Law and Order

True Crime: the Menendez Murders" starring Edie Falco as the brothers

defense attorney in the murder trial of their parents

--Hey, guess who's-- Oh my god.

--What the hell are you doing here?

--Who the hell are you doing here?

--But our experts totally disagree when it comes to the reboot of the

1980s primetime soap opera "Dynasty" starring Grant Show as Blake Carrington.

--It's just good trashy fun.

--the show doesn't feel as luxe as the original did

when you have your lead characters on dynasty getting into a slap fight 20

minutes into the pilot you're like where do we go from here?

[Music] --and now to "This Is Us."

It's not a new show

but it was the most talked-about show of last season.

Can it sustain its momentum?

--all this stuff is coming up about dad --there's no reason to believe that it should

change but we have seen a trend with the sophomore slump as we call it in the

industry which is when this show is the biggest thing you've ever seen in season

one it comes back for season two and it just doesn't quite meet the expectations

I think though that audiences are ready to come back they're ready to cry with

the Pearson family.

--I mean when I hear that theme song I just kind of break out

the goosebumps.

I can't wait for it --I feel like all of the characters have so

much more to show so much more story to share right

--we're finally gonna find out

I think in this very first episode producers have said they're gonna give

us a big hint about how Jack died --I need to know

--we need answers

Percy and Thomas - Which One Is Really Faster? - Duration: 4:48.

Recently I posted a short video of Thomas and Percy racing on a two-track layout running through my house...

But it wasn't really a fair race!

The problem is that whichever train has the inside track around a curve has an un-fair advantage.

Because on a curve, the inside track is a shorter distance than the outside track, so

whoever's got the inside track has a shorter path... an un-fair advantage.

In this video, we'll do several more races between Thomas and Percy, and I promise that

by the time we're all done, we'll come up with a fair way to determine once and for all

Who is the fastest? Thomas, or Percy?

And I'm also going to show you just how fast Thomas and Percy can go if we make a

high speed run on the layout at their absolute maximum possible speed setting.

Now you can see as we get towards the end of our first race, on this layout which curves

to the right more than it curves to the left, Percy had an unfair advantage by being on the right set of tracks.

And Percy pretty easily beats Thomas in the race.

Now, we'll go around the layout one more time, but this time we'll see it from the point of view of Clarabel.

That's a very unique view, thanks to a GoPro attached to Clarabel's right side.

Race number two has pretty much the same conditions as race number one did: Thomas and Percy side

by side on parallel tracks, and each pulling two cars behind them.

But I think having this different perspective, like you're sticking your head out one of Clarabel's windows...

THAT'S pretty cool!

Now, in most of my model train videos I don't run the trains particularly fast.

These model trains are actually capable of going MUCH faster than what you see here,

I just don't like to do it for two main reasons: First, it's just not really realistic when they're screaming around the curves.

Real steam trains just don't do that.

But the other issue is that even though the locomotives can handle high speeds quite well,

the cars behind them just really don't!

Annie and Clarabel especially... they just don't do well at high speeds... lots of derailments

and tip-overs around the curves, so when Thomas is pulling them around the layout, I typically

run him at about half of his maximum speed.

But I promise we are going to do a speed run here for our next trip around the layout.

We'll just give Annie and Clarabel, and those two troublesome trucks, a break for a few minutes...

So that Thomas and Percy can SPRINT all the way around the layout without any speed restrictions...

giving you a great demonstration of how fast they really can go.

Now, check out this very tricky camera shot!

One continuous smooth shot of the entire race, from above.

Try to figure out how I did THAT!

Anyway, this is Percy and Thomas at full throttle now...

Going WAY faster than before, and really flying around those curves.

And, as you can see, Percy had the advantage...

Since there were mostly right curves, he got a big lead and he'll handily beat Thomas once again.

To truly have a fair race, we're going to have to put Thomas and Percy on the same track.

One right behind the other, but NOT coupled.

Here we go!

Who do you think is going to win this race?

Or will it simply be a tie?

Well, we can actually already start to see it at this point.

Percy is starting to pull ahead of Thomas.

The farther they go, the more obvious it is.

The distance between them just keeps increasing.

So, that actually settles it. Sorry, Thomas!

Percy is just a little bit faster!

At least G-scale Percy is.

I don't know about animated TV Percy.

That's a whole different race there!
