There's also a kind of security room.

Probably there was a security guard in there.

This does remind me to a quarry

You see the same machines all over the place. There is also a digger.

Like the ones we've seen over there.

Maybe they made these pebbles here.

In the meanwhile we have been climbing these hills.

going up the hill.

There's our goal.

We're almost there.

Things were thrown into it.

But I want to get inside that cabinet.

You could climb down here

and then go in there,

But then we've to go through the machine.

And that just doesn't seem safe to me.

The descent was too dangerous.

The water and the machine that we saw were pretty cool.

Reasons for receiving a land tax assessment notice - Duration: 4:32.

It can be confusing to receive a land tax assessment notice for the first time

and you may be wondering why...

There are a few reasons why this may be.

This video will help you understand why you have received a notice

and also identify whether it has been raised correctly.

It could be that you have purchased land on

which to build your home, in which case the land may be eligible for an exemption.

You may also have received this notice because

the unimproved valuation of your property has increased

and it is now greater than the tax-free threshold.

If you have purchased an additional property in the previous financial year,

this could have pushed

your aggregated assessable value over

the current tax free threshold

and a land tax assessment notice has been issued as a result.

You should receive a land tax assessment notice if the exemption requirements

for the assessed property are no longer being met,

for instance,

if you are not residing in the property

at the previous 30th of June.

So what can you do to check whether you should have received a notice?

There is plenty of information here on the Department of Finance website,

and 'Understanding your notice' is a good place to start.

This can be located under 'Your Assessment',

'Understanding Your Notice of Assessment'.

You can also refer to our fact sheets and application forms to find out more

about exemptions and eligibility criteria.

If you've worked out that you

need to apply for an exemption, remember - the easiest way to apply is by

attaching your documents to a land tax enquiry.

Have a look at the current land tax rates and thresholds on our website

in order to validate the tax payable on your notice.

Just remember that it is the taxpayer's obligation

to check their notice carefully and advise the Office of State Revenue

of any errors or omissions,

such as receiving separate assessment notices

when land is in the same ownership.

Generally, the Office of State Revenue is not aware

that you are building on your land,

or that you have very recently moved

into your newly constructed property.

That's why it's so important to advise us

when you change your postal address,

or move from one property you own into another that you also own.

Remember though that once you've checked your notice and decided that it's correct

you need to pay your assessment by the due date in order to avoid

a late payment penalty.

If you are having difficulty in paying, ensure that you contact the Office of State Revenue

prior to the due date, as payment arrangements can be organized

subject to interest.
