with REITV and today we're gonna

talk about your brain and how to rewire

it for the life that you want to create

because trust me we got a lot of stuff

up there it's time for a good

brainwashing to wash out all the stuff

that is not serving you and getting you

where you want to be

the first step to

rewiring your mind is to first get

awareness on how it's currently wired

now know that every thought that you

have is an expression of your current

wiring and the good news is that if

you're an adult if you're 18 and older

then most your thoughts I would love to

tell you that you're actually having a

novel stimuli novel thought processes

and that you're living life really aware

but the reality is is that all your life

choices in the past have already

predetermined all your future choices

because once we wire a belief it stays

with us for how long indefinitely

we actually don't have a default code

written in this is huh revisit this

choice that form this belief a little

bit later might not serve you know the

choices we formed in childhood are the

ones that really stick with us even to

be as adults the same ones even today

even when I'm 90 years old but you do

have the ability to change that if you

step into this awareness movement this

idea of beliefs breakthrough says that

you have the ability to rewire your mind

and it's going to start with

understanding its current wiring just

sitting here and thinking asking

yourself learning the art of powerful questions

for example what do I believe

about money

what do I believe about my relationships

what do i I believe about being married

What do I believe about being free

anything where you are feeling

lack is where I want you to start your

not going to be able to create the

entire map out the gate so what do you

want to improve if you want to prove

your health and I would sit and meditate

on these thoughts

what are my beliefs about my body what

are my beliefs about nutrition and if

you just sit and think you're gonna

start writing down

well I can't wake up you know I can't

wake up earlier than seven o'clock

because my body needs sleep and then

question these ideas is that true

oh well I eat bacon and eggs does that mean that

you couldn't eat you know

oatmeal a far more efficient card to

give you energy in the morning

start questioning everything because

you'll find that some of the choices

aren't serving you the first step to

rewire your mind is just becoming aware

of what your current map looks like if

you want to rewire your brain it's not

that bad analogy when you think of like

computer systems because thought is

actually the thing

did you know that that a thought

actually a scientifically measurable

thing that has weight? itty-bitty little

tiny tiny weight and just a moment think

about this. uhm, I'm gonna draw you a picture here

of a beautiful human brain

that's the reptile part i don't know if I drew it really well

that's the neocortex and

understanding a little bit about how the

brain works here's the bottom line

a thought is a thing

so for example in

childhood where we haven't developed

abstract thought children being really

great observers horrible interpreters

often take a situation and create

something really negative out of it and so

they might create an idea that says

"I'm bad" right? have you ever had a child say that?

have you ever heard that or maybe you

said it yourself

let's think about it for a minute if I

worship an idea i'm bad i put a thing

in my brain and if I started thinking

about it the only way my world makes

sense as i can find evidence for it so

now i'm going to go hunting for results

that suggest what?

Ah see! I told you!

I'm bad i got the score on my report card it's

anything less than an A. even if you're

brilliant school but you get an A- ohhhh

i'm bad because i got an a- or maybe I

got pushed off the monkey bars

it's because i had our world make sense

we can find evidence that supports our

beliefs and so what happens to this

thing will it forms a very common

shortcut in your pathway something that

we're firing electricity to we're

creating all these really cool branch

similar ideas that could be not only my

bad but I make bad choices I've got

not responsible I don't choose the right

all of these little nuances that branch

off of this idea well this just becomes the

common electrical path thinking system

that dominates in the mind because of an

experience we have how do you change this

well we're not here to teach you how to

kill off any of the brain cells but the

only way that you can win is with more

creation of what you want instead of

investing what you don't want you don't

want to fire electricity through thought

pattern that says I can't or I'm bad then

it's time for a new thought what you thought

do you want? If it was "Im bad"

I'm good I'm brilliant i'm smart i have

a purpose. Boom boom boom boom! got four! and what I do is I

think about this, you ever wonder in the seminars

where they have you screaming on chairs

out loud, getting emotional claiming it

getting invested well that's because the

emotion is what strengthens this entire

neuro pathway that becomes the way

that you walk and you think this you

want this to become the bull dost way

that you approach your life and so when

you take out this is a very rudimentary

concept but it's something very real

is actually happening in your brain

you know what your brain never stops

developing as long as you're developing

it intentionally with what you want

biggest problem, whole reason for belief

breakthrough is because unconsciously we

gravitate towards what we don't want I

don't want more bills i don't want more

fighting I don't want this i don't want that

this is a process to say stop it!

what do you want and it's time to go

after what you do want

not "I'm bad" stop it! it's time to go with an

idea like I'm good. I make good choices I

love my life I move confidently forward

and move forward boldly and nobly and

the more you think about those thought

those conscious thoughts are like a

bulldozer by comparison to the

unconscious thoughts that become a

little grass through the weeds a little

path through the weeds so strengthen

your mind by intentionally putting in

the inputs that you want to grow and

expand

Hello! I'm Dr. Steven Ravnstag. If this is your first time watching

I'm a Self-Optimization Expert.

So I teach people how to be more aware, how to feel better

more of the time, how to be happy, how to be more productive. Basically how to create

more of what they want in their life and less of what they don't.

And one of the questions I get most commonly from people, especially entrepreneurs,

people who are trying to be positive but they just

sometimes have some difficulty is

"What to do when you're just not feeling it?".

So you set out on your exercise routine, you

start working on your new personal business, you

take on these new endeavors and things are going well for a while

and then all of a sudden nothing bad happens, you just

wake up one day and you're just "not feeling it".

situation? How do you respond resourcefully to it?

The first thing that you do

The first thing that you do is let it be okay

that you're not feeling it.

If you start beating yourself up,

if you start focusing on what you don't want, if you start feeling bad

about yourself, it's only going to make it worse. This is an example

of when you resist something that thing tends to persist in your life.

So if you find yourself not feeling it the first thing to do

is let the fact you're not feeling it BE OKAY. Now the

next thing that you do is Check Your Focus. What are you thinking about?

Where are you spending your Mental Money? I refer to thoughts as

Mental Money because our thoughts are SO POWERFUL

in terms of the emotional states that we experience and

the behaviors that we engage in

So if you're not feeling it thats a sign

to you that you need to Recalibrate Your Focus.

One of the things that I do is think about Feelings and Emotional States as

a target. We want to feel happy, we want to feel motivated,

we want to feel confident, and the way that you aim for

that target is with your Mental Focus. It's target

practice. You have to find a way of Thinking that generates the Feeling

that generates the Emotional State that you want.

Now in order to become

a Master Marksman,

in order to hit the bullseye 100% of the time

I need to feel motivated, you shoot for it

you hit it right away. You've got to Practice. So when you try

this at first if it does work immediately for you

that's like you shoot at the target and kind of miss it. Maybe you don't even hit the target at all

and then you hit it up on the periphery or on the outside

and the more you practice with this the more you

become AWARE of

what the Thoughts that you're thinking are

And how those thoughts affect how you're feeling the more

consistently,

the more reliably you can hit

that target, you'll increase your accuracy, you'll increase your precision

You can feel the way you want to feel

MORE OF THE TIME.

Being Fearless & Wearing What You Want | Jocelyn Lee Vlog - Duration: 3:46.

What I felt called to really touch upon

with this idea of fearlessness.

I was reading as Mayan calendar book about

the day I was born and I had um,

WARRIOR

and one of the qualities about warrior is a

Fearlessness.

Though I identify with it very strongly,

it is not to say that I don't

ever feel fear.

Which is very different from

being fear.

I don't like to think of

myself as I'm a fearful person,

I'm full of fear.

I like to believe that

I have feelings of fear.

Fearlessness is being

able to not be afraid of your fear.

Use it as a tool

to grow and to become

more whole

and uh,

really actually have more joy in your life.

Growing up, things I kind of

made me nervous, there's always a compelling

quality to

face it.

To at least one day

know that, mhm, I'm gonna have to overcome that

meet that challenge time and time

Time and time again,

that when I face that sort of

heart-pounding

energy

I've always come out

feeling

so much more sure of of myself

and who I am

and what I'm capable of.

That's very important as you move forward

with your dreams.

Cause there's always going to be moments

we're going to feel afraid.

So, I think it's

important to be able to

know what to do with that feeling,

instead of getting

locked in it.

And something else today that I could use

as example, is more on the feminine side.

Besides recording this in a very, you know,

exposed spot,

with, you know, people walking by

and not really sure who I'm talking to!

Is, uhm -

feeling comfortable

in the way that I dress.

as a woman

In different communities and different societal

spaces and not feeling inappropriate.

Wearing this

bikini top

even adorning myself in this necklace

which a dear soul sister of mine

had given me.

And this skirt- I don't know if you can see it -

BOOP!

It was a big deal in a psychological way,

to overcome.

Being this community, it's a

little bit more chill, the weather doesn't

necessarily call for this "type of outfit."

But today, we went to the beach and I felt like it was

"more appropriate."

So it begged the question of:

Why do I feel this

feeling of fear?

A lot of it was feeling of not wanting

to feel judged

or

having permission

to do it,

because I don't know what

"the norm" is

It was almost looking for someone

to be the example that,

"Ah, it's okay to dress like that."

Going through this conversation

with myself

I realized that I

could be that person

that I'm looking for

to give me permission

I could be that person to give

myself, the permission

of being able to stand

in the way

that I want to dress.

When you put on that dress, you put on

those jewels, you put on that makeup -

you are giving someone else permission to do so as well.

So, I hope that speaks to some of you

ladies out there.

And any time it's a reflection of discomfort someone else

It's something that they're feeling

and there's no way for us to really control

how another person feels.

Though we may control

the information we put out there.

So it'd be very different

if I was strutting around

and I had the intention

of making people feel uncomfortable

with the way I dress,

Versus, just

wearing it because

I want to wear it for ME.

It shifts the energy of directing it at

someone to create a reaction or to create

response and more of an empowerment

self-affirmation for yourself

or for myself

that

this is who I am.

I saw a quote today that just stuck with me from Alice in Wonderland.

She's talking to the caterpillar and says, "Where should I go?

Which road should I take?"

And the Caterpillar says, "I don't know.

Where you do want to go?"

And Alice says, "I don't know."

And the Caterpillar says.

"Well, then, take either road, " because if you don't know where you're going, you're

never going to get there.

That's what happens in a lot of people's careers.

So, we take the long laundry list -- and I would actually like you guys to do this at

some point.

I think it's important for people to do, especially whether you're struggling or not -- sometimes

it can illuminate something perhaps you even haven't internalized or allowed to admit to

yourself of an interest that you might have.

So, I hope that by stepping through the process with you here today, you'll have the ability

to take this home and maybe try it out yourself.

So, I use the default North American default that good things are always to the North.

Our course is always going to be the North.

Series I Want to Finish in 2017 [CC] - Duration: 5:23.

Hey guys, so today's video is going to be a

video about the series I plan on finishing

in 2017. A couple months back I did a

video about all the different unfinished

series I have. When I filmed that I had

planned on doing a couple videos in that

subject, but I didn't end up doing that, even though I

planned on doing it. But in this video I'm just going

to show you the ones I plan on finishing

in 2017. A lot of these will be repeats

from that video, but it's not all repeats.

I have six series to show you

in this video so let's get started.

The first series is the Ascendance

trilogy by Jennifer A. Nielsen. This is a

middle-grade fantasy series and I really

don't want to say anything else besides

that because this book is very easy to

spoil. If you even just say a couple

of sentences you can say too much about

this, so I'm not going to say much about

that. It's just focused on political

intrigue and stuff like that.

I don't even really remember if there's

a magic system in it.

I do remember pirates. I read the

first book in 2015, I think, or was it 2014?

I don't remember, I read it a while ago and I really

enjoyed it.

This is the first look here and then I

read the second book and I don't

remember much from it, but I still have the

third book to finish so I plan on finishing

that series. And these books are really

short, so it should happen. I hope it

happens. Next one is the Reckoners

trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. This is a

science-fiction series. It's about like

these superheroes but they're not

superheroes. Everyone with a special

power end up evil. My favorite part

about this series is that the main

character doesn't have a superpower, so

it's not like all those other superpower

books or comics where there are just two

really powerful people fighting each

other. It's not like that. That's

something I really enjoy about this.

The last book came out last year

and I have not even picked it up.

Actually I think read like a chapter of

it but I never finished it.

So yes, I have to read that and then I'll have

completed this trilogy. The next series is

the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series

by Rick Riordan and obviously I can't finish

this yet because

the last book isn't out, but the last book comes

out in October. It's called The Ship of

the Dead and I'm very excited for it.

Depending on how that last book goes this

might be my favorite Rick Riordan series

ever written, and that's saying a lot

considering I've been reading Rick Riordan

books for almost 10 years now.

I love this series a lot. A lot. And I'm

excited for the last book in October.

Next is the Mapmaker trilogy by S.E. Grove. This

is again a series I read around the

same time as The False Prince. I actually read

the first book really close to when it

came out. I think like a month after it came

out. And then the second book I read

pretty close to its release date as well.

I have the third book and I haven't

read it and I don't know why. I actually

really enjoy this. It's a middle-grade adventure

series focusing on friendship and

stuff like that.

It just really reminds me of all the

adventure books I read when I was a

kid, so I really enjoy it. It's not crazy

good or anything, I mean it is good, but

it's not spectacular, but I do really

enjoy it.

Next is the Shades of Magic series by V.E.

Schwab. This is an adult fantasy that

focuses on alternate universes, kind of,

and people who travel in between those

worlds. I read this book in 2015

and I really enjoyed it, but I

haven't picked up the next one- the

second book- and the third one comes out

at the end or middle of February.

But I did really enjoy this and I really like the

characters and the magic system, so I

don't know why I haven't picked up

the other book, but I'm hoping to finish

the series this year. The last

series I have to talk about today is the

Magicians trilogy by Lev Grossman.

This is like an urban fantasy. People

like to say this is adult Harry Potter,

but I prefer to say it's like adult

Narnia. I feel like that fits it a lot

better than saying adult Harry Potter.

Even though the first book does have a

magical school that teaches wizardry,

it's definitely more like Narnia than it is

Harry Potter. Anyway, I really like this

first book. I've read the first two books

and I just have the third one to read. I did

really enjoy the first few books. I think

I like the first one a little bit more than

the second one,

although I remember the ending to the

second one really well, so I'm excited to see

how the story ends from that.

But yeah, this is a series I really like. I don't talk about

it very much because it's not my

favorite or anything, but I enjoy it and I'm excited

to see how this series ends.

So yeah, that's going to be it for this video. Let
